Data packet connection received

On a fairly regular basis, once an hour approx, my N86 beeps and a message appears on the screen stating that a " data packet connection received". This also happens when I'm on a call and beeps in my ear.
This is only a minor annoyance but an annoyance nevertheless. Any idea what this is and what I can do about it?

also have this problem with my N5800. I have noticed on my phone bill that I have connected to the internet every 30 min.
When I hold the menu button to see what apps are active I only ever see the "home" and "menu" logo. In my Admin settings>Packet data>Packet data connection the only options are "When needed or when available"
How is the best way to find out what app is connecting to the internet and sky rocketing my bills!!

    hi
I got a new nokia N97 mini a couple of months ago, it's on a plan with optus, and it's been working fine until a few days ago it keeps flashing this message 'packet data: packet data connection not available' and it won't let me access the web, or even send messages I've tried resetting it but no luck please help me!

Contact you Operater to confirm that the Packet Data Plan isn't deactivated.. If its active..request them to send the settings once again.. Normally these are sent thru' SMS.. When you receive..first delete all the access points from your phone.. then open the SMS and select..'SAVE'..Now try..

    Hi,
    Welcome to the    Discussions
iChat in this case was connected (Even if you didn't actually see a Pic)
The most likely cause is a feature on the router or modem at one end that cuts the port that the Video data is one because it thinks it is an Attack.
Look for Denial Of Service (DoS) this is threshold based and cuts in when it see "Too Much Data, Too Quickly".
It was designed to stop Web Server being brought down with lots of simultaneous attempt to get to the Web servers pages.
However iChat Video data over modern connections can often exceed that.
If the Computer that has 192.168.1.100 is connected to a Linksys device turn the Firewall Off in the Security page as this includes DOS And SPI which works very similar.
I am not sure about the computer at the other end.
192.168.0.xxx is used by several manufacturers making it hard to guess.
If it happens to be a Netegear this hads either DOS or SPI in the WAN set up page

    Hi,
Check the DataSource in RSA3, if it is working fine and able to see the data in RSA3, there is no problem in DS level, then checl the Mappings and any routines in BW for that DS, if this is also fine then check the below options.
See Dumps in ST22, SM21 also.
Check RFC Connection between ECC and BW systems, i.e. RSA1-->Source System->Right Click on Source system and Check.
You must have the following profiles to BWREMOTE or ALEREMOTE users. So add it. Bcoz either of these two users will use in background to get extract the data from ECC, so add these profiels in BW.
    S_BI-WHM_RFC, S_BI-WHM_SPC, S_BI-WX_RFC
And also check the following things.
1.Connections from BW to ECC and ECC to BW in SM59
    2.Check Port,Partner Profiles,and Message Types in WE20 in ECC & BW.
    3.Check Dumps in ST22, and SM21.
4.If Idocs are stuck i.e see the OLTP Idoc numbers in RSMO Screen in (BW) detials tab see in bottom, you can see OLTP Idoc number and take the Idoc numbers and then goto to ECC see the status in WE05 or WE02, if error then check the log else goto to BD87 in ECC and give the Idoc numbers and execute manually and see in RSMO and refresh.
5.Check the LUWs struck in SM58,User Name = * (star) and run it and see Strucked LUWs and select our LUW and execute manually and see in RSMO in BW.
    See in SDN

  • Need help in logging JTDS data packets

    Hi All,
I m having web application which uses SQL Server database.
I have to find out some problems in database connection for that there is need to log the jtds data packets.
I have tried to use class net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.TdsCore but in constructor of TdsCore class there are two parameters needed one is ConnectionJDBC2 and another is SQLDiagnostic.
I have tried a lot but it did not allow me to import class *SQLDiagnostic*.
I need help in logging JTDS data packets. If there are any other ways or any body having any idea about logging JTDS data packets/SQLDiagnostic.
    Please reply it is urgent...!!
    Thanks in advance......!!

if you want to use log4j then,
in your project create a file called log4j.properties and add this
    # Set root logger level to INFO and its only appender to ConsoleOut.
    log4j.rootLogger=INFO,ConsoleOut
    # ConsoleOut is set to be a ConsoleAppender.
    log4j.appender.ConsoleOut=org.apache.log4j.ConsoleAppender
    # ConsoleOut uses PatternLayout.
    log4j.appender.ConsoleOut.layout=org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout
    log4j.appender.ConsoleOut.layout.ConversionPattern=%-5p: [%d] %c{1} - %m%n
    log4j.logger.org.apache.jsp=DEBUG
    #Addon for
com.sun.faces.level=FINEGo to your class and add this line
private static final Logger logger = Logger.getLogger("classname");and then you can use
    logger.info();
    logger.error();

  • Re: Reading data from a data packet

We did not find any driver for our instrument so we are trying to capture data using the method i have explained before. Below is an example of the data packets that we are receiving in our serial port monitoring software.
    First data packet       13 88 04 4C 00 00 01 F3 00 00 7B 37 02 EE
    Second data packet   13 88 04 4C 00 00 01 EE 00 00 79 D9 02 EE
    Third data packet       13 88 04 4C 00 00 01 EB 00 00 78 BA 02 EE
Here as we have seen above 13 88 (5000=Frequency in decimal) 04 4C (represents1100= voltage in decimal) is constant  and the ending is represented by 02EE.  Apart from tis the rest (for the first packet 01 F3= 499 assuming current  and 7B 37 = 31543 assuming power  keeps on changing in every packet and they all have different scaling ). The 00 00 just represents the padding between them. Now we have to read the values in altogather say in different boxes and produce them in LabVIEW front panel. Here i have attached a picture of the instrument reading side by side with the serial monitoring software reading. How do i do that? i have read something called visa read and write but they only accepts strings not in bytes. Any kind of help is appreciated.

  • Why Firefox for Android is causing The Linux kernel to send data packets to random sites?

I've recently installed CyanogenMod on my Nexus 5. Shorty after installing CyanogenMod I decided to install Firefox on my device from here:
    https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdid=org.mozilla.firefox
Afrer installing it I decided to install a frontend application for IPtabels from here:
    https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdid=dev.ukanth.ufirewall
After installing it I blocked some applications from accessing my data networks, including The
Linux kernel. After some hours passed I took a look at the firewall log and I noticed that the firewall
has blocked several data packets from accessing the internet. The log also showed the IP addresses where
the data packets were being sent. I decided to find out to whom these IP adresses belonged. The results were
rather strange. One particular IP belonged to a French ISP, one on the other hand belonged to a Finnish ISP.
Finally I found one IP that made some sense. That IP belonged to Mozilla. However, at this point I couldn't be sure
that Firefox was causing this behaviour. So I did a little test. I re-installed CyanogenMod on my Nexus 7.
I connected my Nexus 7 to my WiFi-network at my home and I installed the same frontend application for IPtables
on my device. I configured the firewall the same way I did for my phone, so The Linux kernel was also blocked
from accessing any data networks. I surfed the web with my device and did some other things with it. I also checked the
firewall log from time to time, and no applications showed up in the log. So I installed Firefox on my device. And immediately
after installing it The Linux kernel was trying to send data packets to the same IP addresses. Now I was almost completely sure
that Firefox was indeed causing this strange behaviour.
Here are some addresses where The Linux Kernel was trying to send data packets:
    69.50.225.155
    63.245.217.219
    72.167.239.239
    23.43.139.27
    74.125.232.107
    193.229.109.41
    63.245.217.160
    94.23.204.140
    Conclusion:
*I downloaded CyanogenMod from the projects official site and I checked the md5sums of the files
I downloaded before I flashed anything onto my device
*I installed all the applications on my devices (including Firefox) from here: https://f-droid.org
*I didn't do anything stupid with my devices so I dont' think that they were infected with malware
*I changed Firefox settings so that it didn't share any data with Mozilla
So I'd like to have some answers to the following questions:
1)Why Firefox is causing the Linux kernel to send data to these IP addresses and is there any way
    to turn this "feature" off?
2)Do the other versions of Firefox and other Mozilla software (Thunderbird etc.) also include this form of snooping?

    * 69.50.225.155 - belongs to the EFF, you likely have https everywhere installed

    ps. I'm using ojdbc6.jar

    Hi:
It seem to be a network problem or Net service problem because is a low level exception related to the network packet size or timeout.
Please take a quick look at this post:
Marcelo Ochoa's personal blog: An efficient way to do massive inserts with Oracle JDBC
specially the link to the parameter SDU http://docs.oracle.com/database/121/NETAG/glossary.htm#BGBBHCJF here an explanation http://docs.oracle.com/database/121/NETAG/intro.htm#CHDFDBAA , larger value will be better for batch processing.
    Best regards, Marcelo.

What I could gather from this is that Replication agent tried to change permissions of transaction logs and was unable to and the datastore was marked invalid and disconnected.
But I have not been able to find a reason for this error occurring, the environment has not been touched, there have been changes made to database objects but can they lead to this error.
If not, what is causing the error and how can we resolve it.
Thanks, your help is much appreciated.

You have a permission problem. For some reason your logfiles have the owner/group 'timesten:timesten' but based on the information from ttVersion and from the permissions on the checkpoint file they should be 'timesten:db'a. Also, the permissions shoiuld be rw-rw---- but they are set to rw-------. There could be several reasons for this, the most likely are:
    1. Incorrect permissions set on the directory that holds the transaction log files.
    2. TimesTen daemon processes running with incorrect userid/group.
    3. Instance administrator user (timesten) no longer has group membership of the protection group (dba).
For (1), this would be 'user error'. For (2) and (3), this could only happen if permissions on TimesTen install files have been manually changed (something that should not be done without a very clear understanding of how the permissiosn need to be set) or the uid/gid for the instance administrator user has been changed at the O/S level after installing TimesTen or the 'timesten' user has been removed from the 'dba' group.
I would suggest that you check all these and see what may have been done at the O/S level.

  • Repeater does not forward data packets

    Hello all!
    I have following setup:
A root access-point ap1, model AIR-AP1231G-E-K9 with IOS 12.3(8)JEE, is configured with one SSID on VLAN 1 (native) and working fine.
Now I would like to add a 2nd access-point ap2 of the same model with the same IOS version as a repeater to extend the WLAN coverage of the overall network.
I managed to configure the 2nd access-point successfully as repeater (same SSID settings, infrastructure ssid set, parent 1 mac-address set) and it associates successfully with the main root access-point.
Now I observe following effect: As soon I leave the coverage area of the first AP and enter the area of the repeater, the client (iPhone, Laptop or any other WLAN device) associates successfully to the repeater (confirmed with "show dot11 ass" and due to the log entries of the repeater) but the data packets are not forwarded to the main access-point. There is no IP connectivity to the root AP or internet anymore.
Another example which might lead to the solution is following observation:
I have my laptop connected to the wireless network with two console sessions open. In one I run a ping to the first AP, ap1 (10.200.3.5) and in the other console I run a ping to the repeater ap2 (10.200.3.6). Both access-points reply.
Now if I enter the coverage area of the repeater, my laptop gets associated to it and the ping to the first AP ap1 times out.
Again, it looks like that the repeater denies to forward traffic to the main root AP.
I have no clue why this happens, nor are there any log messages available which might explain this issue.
I hope someone can help me finding the problem.
The configuration of the working root access-point ap1 as the repeater ap2 is attached.
    Thank you!
    Best regards,
    Bernhard

You  have configured sub-interface on radio interface & not in ethernet interface at Root AP end. change the config like below & see.

    int d0
    encryption mode ciphers aes-ccm

  • RDS 2012 The WinRM service failed to create the following SPNs: Additional Data The error received was 1355

    Hi,
I have RDS 2012 session deployment in Azure with connection broker high availability.
The "Remote Desktop Management" service does not start automatically when the connection broker virtual machines are stopped and started.
I see the below error in event logs of both the connection broker VMs
Note: WHen i manually start the "Remote Desktop Management" service after this error, it all works without issues.
    I get
Error ID 46 - Crash dump initialization failed!
    Warning 10154 - in Microsoft-Windows-Windows Remote Management
The WinRM service failed to create the following SPNs:
     Additional Data
     The error received was 1355

    Hi,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
In respect to error 46, this issue may occur if the computer boots without a configured dump file. The default dump file is the pagefile. During a clean Windows OS installation, the very first boot will hit this condition as the pagefile has not been set up
    yet.
To resolve this issue, you may want complete the paging file configuration.
    More information:
Event ID 46 logged when you start a computer
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2756313/EN-US
In regards to error 10154, you need to create the SPN specified in the event using the
setspn.exe utility and also need to grant the “Validated Write to Service Principal Name” permission to the NETWORK SERVICE.
For more information refer beneath articles.

  • Regrd the data packet size

    Hi
    i have two questions
    1) where can i set the data packet size in BW and R3 and also in BI how and where can we set .
2)by what method/logic we will select the key fields in dso.
ex: i have 5 tables in the sourse and each table will have primary keys, now how do we know that particular primary keys should be kept in KEY FIELDS folder in DSO.
    full points will be assigned.

    HI,
Data package settings for the data to be extracted from R3 to BI can be done through :
    1) SBIW>General Settings> Maintain Control Parameters for Data Transfer
These settings are common for all the info packages which extract data from R3.
    2) If u want to do settings relevent to specific Infopackage then :
RSA1>Click On the Specific Infopackage>Scheduler(in the Menu Bar)-->DataS Default Data Transfer.
    3) And if you want to do DSO Package settings then:
    Got to Transaction RSODSO_SETTINGS
Here u can do package settings for DSO activation ,paramenter for SID generation ect.
And selection of Key fileds depends upon the requirement.
Based on the key fields what all the data fileds u want to overwrite or add the corespomding data fields
    Regards,
    Chaitanya.

  • Xcelsius - Crystal Report Data Consumer connection Issues

Sorry for the long post but i hope with the full explaination, i can get a quick answer & solution.
Using Crystal Reports 2008 and Xcelsius 2008 Engage, SQL 2008 stored procedure.
I have tested the Crystal Reports Data Consumer connection within the Xcelsius program, using the following steps :
    1. Create a stored procedure that returns the Continent Name and the Count of Projects within each Continent.
    2. Create a Crystal Report using the stored procedure, 2 columns in the Details section, column names in the Page Header section.
    3. Save and export this as an Excel spreadsheet.
    4. Open the Xcelsius program, new file and import spreadsheet. Column A is the Continent Name, Column B is the Count.
    5. Without altering the spreadsheet, I created a graph using the data imbedded. i.Bar Graph, series and row selections. Ii. Pie chart with row data selection. Iii.Column data as series and row selections.
    6. Created a Crystal Report Data Consumer connection using the data imbedded within then spreadsheet. The column A as the u201CRow Headersu201D & column B as the u201CDatau201D. Took quite a while to get the right combination of selected components so that the preview actually showed the data and the corresponding data labels. The Legend still hasnu2019t shown up.
    7. Save and Export as Flash (swf) file.
    8. Close Xcelsius and open Crystal Reports.
    9. Open the same report used to create the spreadsheet and Insert -> Flash, choosing the newly created swf file.
    10. Link the data displayed On the Crystal Report to the Flash file now embedded, using the Flash Expert. Have tried both with the data listed on the Report, and the data listed as the result of the stored procedure.
    11. Previewed and the Data shown on the Graph does match the data listed within the Details section of the Report.
    12. I then altered the stored procedure to add u201C1u201D to all counts, and refreshed the Crystal Report. (I cannot add new data to the underlying database/tables, due to various other folks & projects using that same database.)
    13. The listed data does change to match the changes within the procedure.
    14. The Data labels on the Graph do change to match the changes within the procedure.
    15. The Actual Displayed Data within the Graph Does Not change to match the changes within the procedure.
I have attempted this with a pie chart, a bar and column charts with the same affect.
I have searched the web, printed out 4 different examples on how to make this work and still it is hit or miss. I still can not get the legend to show up, either in the preview or the within the Crystal Reports. When I preview the graph before adding the Crystal Report Data Consumer connections, it does work.
Please someone tell me, What am I missing here ?
Thanks in advance for your help.
