Data Persistency in Message Monitoring of RWB

Hi All,
I am dealing with Sync. Interfaces and need to monitor the messages from Message Monitoring.
I have 2 Problems in the monitoring : -
1.     I can only see the messages for last 2 hrs in Message Monitoring.
Messages Older then 2 hours are not getting displayed.
2.     Also if i am unable to see complete set messages in the 2 hr interval.I mean randomly
messages are getting lost in message monitoring.
Is there any setting we need to maintain for Message Monitoring?
Helpful Answers will be rewarded points.
Thanks & Regards,
Zabiulla

Java Engine Problem during message monitoring in runtime workbench!!
Posted: Nov 12, 2007 2:13 AM     Edit      E-mail this message      Reply
    Hi,
Our integrating processes are processing successfully.
But there is a problem during message monitoring.
When I use message monitoring in RWB,
Integration Engine monitoring has no problem.
But there is a problem during displaying adapter engine monitoring.
The message is "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space".
So I cannot see any adapter engine message.
Actually same error occurred 3 weeks ago.
At that time, we solved the problem with restarting java service.
Does anyone know about this appearance?
And is there any other solution about this problem??
    Thank you.

    Hi,
As per the error analysis, it seems that the java heap space is low. So need to increase the heap size.
    1. Go to the C:\SAP\JP1\JC00\j2ee\configtool folder
    2. Start configtool.bat
    3. Go to cluster-data -> template - template_javaee -> instance - IDxxxxx
    4. Go to the VM Parameters tab and edit the maxHeapSize property
    5. Save and restart the system.
I hope this will solve the problem.

    Sarvesh

  • No authorization to view payload in auditLog Of Message Monitoring in RWB

    Hello,
I am not able to view the message payload in the audit Log In Message Monitoring in RWB.
    It says no authorization.
Can anybody tell me what authorization object is required for this?
    Thanks,
    Loveena

    Hello,
    Check the link below:
    community/pi-and-soa-middleware/blog/2008/02/07/display-adapter-synchronous-message-content-in-rwb-of-pi-71
The configuration consist to set a parameter on NWA. Check the following step:
    1. Go to <host>:<port>/nwa;
    2. Go to Configuration Management and then Infrastructure;
    3. Java System Properties;
    4. Click on services tab and then search for XPI Service: Messaging System;
    5. Search for messaging.syncMessageRemover.removeBody on parameters tab and modify from true to false. False value should be displayed in the custom value column.
After that, you'll be able to see the payload in RWB.

  • Messages remain in Scheduled status in message monitoring in RWB

    Hi PI experts,
I have got a situation where there are several messages showing in the Scheduled status. I followed the path RWB > Message Monitoring > Adapter Engine > Database (Overview) > Display.
QoS for these messages is EOIO, however there are no messages stuck in the queue. All other channels are running smoothly. Only with this particular channel the messages remain in Scheduled status for a long time.
I am neither able to make out the roor cause nor reprocess/resend these messages. Pleaes help.
    Regards,
    Dhawal

    Hi Suraj,
What you said is absolutely correct. However, as I mentioned, the error message was not visible in RWB.
My problem just got resolved. What I did is this,
I followed the link http://<server>:<port>/MessagingSystem/monitor/monitor.jsp which is SAP Message Display Tool.
Here in EOIO Sequence Monitor I found the error message and it's predecessor. When I resent the erroneous message from here, all subsequent Holding messages got processed.
Thank you everyone for your help. Have a gr8 day...
    Best Regards,

  • Message details not getting displayed in Message monitoring of RWB

    Hi,
I am trying to see how many messages in Message Monitoring by selecting Integration Engine option, Message counts are getting displayed like how many has been processed successfully, processed with errors as well.
When I click on message count a pop up screen opens and gives me no messages are not available even for the same day messages.
Can any body give me an idea like where i can set any parameter to display in detail of messages in integration engine for one week back as well.
    Thanks...

    >When i click on count of messages which got processed with in one hour then it shows details of that messages, but when i select other messages which got processed on the same day but more than one hour then its not displaying any details of the messages.
I guess in this case your retention period is set to zero in SXMB_ADM. And this is the reason you cannot see the message even if they are an hour old.
    >Is there any where where we can set parameters or any oss note to be implemented in order to see details of any messages with in a week or 10 days.
In XI run tcode SXMB_ADM and then follow "Integration Engine Configuration ---> Specific Configuration". Now check the Archive & Deletion Current & Default Values and set the Retention period as per you need.

  • [RWB] New Selection in Message Monitoring

    Hello,
in a system of a client I saw a selection "Database (Overview)" in Message Monitoring
of RWB. This view displays all successfully or failed messages of all services and interfaces.
How can I implement this function? Our company got a higher patch level so I don't
think that this function depends on a newer version.
Does anyone know how to configure this?
    thx
    chris

    Steve,
If there is an error in the authentication configuration of some specific destinations on the J2EE then that may probably why the normal authentication fails and the system then tries to logon with the default user 'J2EE_GUEST' but fails as well ( which is ok ). See note 928862
Also Make sure that USer has this Role- SAP_XI_MONITORING

    How do we do this?

Are the tools(SQL Client or Toad) freely available?

  • Reg: XI - Message Monitoring

    Hi! Gurus,
This is Amar Srinivas Eli.I am workig on Production Support project. Here I got one issue related to Message Monitoring.
Actually user send one information from Store Front Site to P31 R3 system via XI means XI Production System right?
He asks on january 24th is there any message sents via XI so tht he needs which IDOC and what type of IDOC is sent in File to IDOC message. It is a synchrous mesage.
But I checked in SXMB_MONI but nothing it was showing that no messages are sent even from last year August.
But parallely I also checked in Message monitoring of XI RWB Production Server X46
there  I prefered last 4 weeks  then I got that on Jan 24th 8 messages are sent. And when I checked in XI ID Configuration part that same Business service and its corresponding Communication Channels I came to knwo that thee are SOAP and RFC Communication Channels but not IDOC ?How it is?
But from that I came to know that store front message is sent as issues is related to Store front.
But I  was not clearly confirmed that what message was sent actually on Jan 24th ?
Note:: Also I am in confused Y in SXMB_MONI  it was showing no mesages are sent and in Message Monitoring of RWB it was showing 8 messages ?
Is there any possibility of If any one deleting messages in SXMB_MONI if yes how to get that deleted MEssages?
Please Kindly guide me in step by step procedure regarding this with Screen shots so that it may be helpful to me.
    Regards::
    Amar Srinivas Eli.

    Hi Amar Srinivas,
    > But I checked in SXMB_MONI but nothing it was showing that no messages are sent even from last year August.
Synchronous messages are not persistent in integration server. But messaging system in Adapter engine stores these messages thats why you can see messages in Adapter engine in RWB.
    > there  I prefered last 4 weeks  then I got that on Jan 24th 8 messages are sent. And when I checked in XI ID Configuration part that same Business service and its corresponding Communication Channels I came to knwo that thee are SOAP and RFC Communication Channels but not IDOC ?How it is?
If IDOC Adapter in sender side you dont have to configure sender IDOC Communication channel.IDOC adapter resides on integration server not in Adapter engine.

    Hi,
We are facing issues with the Message Monitoring in RWB.
When we are selecting the Integration Engine and selecting the message and then clinking on details.
We are able to see 4 tabs :
    1. Message Data
    2. Message Content
    3. Inbound Adapter
    4. Queue Monitor
Is it right to display these 4 tabs for Integration engine ?
Where will be this setting ? What tabs shud be there ?
We are using XI 7.0 SP10.
When we are selecting the Adapter Engine in Message Monitoring then we are getting Page cannot be displayed.
Please provide your precious inputs to resolve this issue.
    Thanks

    Hi Krishna,
We have restarted the system but its not working.
Adapter engine is working fine without any issues.
Only the issues are unable to view the Message monitoring as it shud be.
In Message Monitoing => Integartion Engine => Message Selected =>Click Details=> Message Display tool => Message Data Tab is fine.
Message Content Tab => if we open we are getting the following error with SAP screen.

  • Audit log missing in message in Message Monitor

    Hi,
I am facing a weird problem.
I found this in one of my scenario where we are using AS2 adapter and its an IDoc to file scenario.
When I go to details of messages in message monitor in RWB,sometimes the Audit log is empty.
It is happening randomly and not specific to any scenario as later on I found the same problem in some messages from other scenarios too.
I have never faced this problem till now and it was working fine before.
Can anyone please let me know what could be the reason for this as this is difficult for me in case I need to analyse a message and there is no audit log.

  • Regarding  Message Monitoring

    Hi All ,
Whats the differance between Message Monitoring using SXMB_MONI and Message Monitoring in RWB .
Whats the use of Transaction Code SXI_MONITOR .
    Thnaks ,
    hem.

    Hi Hem,
As per the answers u have got from the above i want to add few points...
RWB---> it is the place where you can monitor the complete message flow. From the time it is picked to the time it is posted. Added to it u have the provision of Channel Monitoring, performance monitoring where you can check the performance(time to execute),End to End Monitoring etc... This really helps in debugging the problems.
where as is in Sxmb_moni you can just see the messages generated in the integration server. messages generated in the adapter engine cannot be viewed in SXMB_MONI or SXI_MONITOR.
you can view the same dynpro as in SXMB_MONI in the RWB.
