  • How to add a mm-dd-yyyy date field type in a Planning Data Form

    Hi John,
pls, I have one question regarding the possibility of adding a date field type for example 03-03-2009 in a cell of Planning Data Form application.
    for example, I created:
    - 2 members in Period dimension: StartProject and EndProject and I need to enter and track date for these fields;
    - one Account member called Project;
    - and a simple form with these collumns and row;
Trying different settings for my members - seems that I cannot input date in the cell and rcvd errror: "you have entered invalid value".
Pls, can you confirm me if it's possible to enter date type in a form?
If yes, what is the specific setup for the Account and Period properties: Data storage, Time Balance, Data type, Account type etc
    many thanks,
    Robert

    Many thanks John!!! that's it!!!
I had to change it in Data Type evaluation Order because I'm using EPMA and it's working now!!
    Thanks again!!!

Certainly it is unusual that you can still see the tables available in your MS Access database but cannot see the columns? I am assuming you are configuring an Open Statement step and are trying to use the ring-control to select columns from your table?
Can you tell me more about the changes you made to your file when you 'changed' it with MS Access? What version of Access are you using? What happens if you try and manually type in an 'Open Statement Dialog's SQL string such as...
    "SELECT UUT_RESULT.TEST_SOCKET_INDEX, UUT_RESULT.UUT_STATUS, UUT_RESULT.START_DATE_TIME FROM UUT_RESULT"
Is it able to find the columns even if it can't display them? I am worried that maybe you are using a version of MS Access that is too new for the version of TestSt
and you are running. Has anything else changed aside from the file you are editing?

  • Data Origin Types not filled in the tab "Control Data" of BP interface

    Hello experts,
I have loaded the clients from ECC6.0 to CRM 4.0.
Before I have loaded the clients I have maintained the data origin type for the BP in spro -> cross application components -> SAP Business Partner -> Business partner -> Basic settings -> Data Origin -> Maintain Data Origin Type.
After I have done the load initial of clients, the field  "Data Origin" is empty in  the tab "Control Data" in BP interface. If I do F4 in the field appear the configuration that I did in spro appear.
For this field will appear filled I'll need to do more configurations in spro?
    Best regards,
    Mary

    Hi Mary,
The middleware does not fill this field in BP master data. You can maintain data origin type in SPRO, however the mBdoc does not use this customizing in order to fill this field.
Please try to use the BADI CRM_DATAEXCHG_BADI in order to fill this field during master data download.
    It hope it helps.

  • Data Carriers and Data carrier type

    Hi Sap Gurus,
Pls let me know is there any necesssity of defining any new Data Carrier types other than PC,
if so at what circumstances and requirements,
also pls throw some light about data Carriers, when is the new data carriers required to be created
    at what circumstances and requirements.
is that to access a document from different server or Different system, if it is so why is this required as the documents are always stored in a central content server and Once checked in, any one can access the document from Server,
    2) can we make use of Application softwares Installed in one System and make it run in another system, example,
if there are say 4 system totally, among this S1 system1 has Autocad Installed in it ,
rest of the 3 system have not installed Autocad, Can the system 2,3 and 4 edit the auto cad drawings in there system, does at this situations where Datacarries and Data carries types come in to picture,
Please throw some light on this
    Thanks and regards
    Sathish

    Dear Christoph Hopf,
Thanks a lot for your Quick Response
as you have Explained,i assume it is mainly used to store a local copy or extra copy of the Original application files in the system which we use to View them, or if we feel to store the copy in any other system also.
Example Say there are 3 systems S1, S2 and S3
if we are viewing an original file in System S1 and want the same Copy to be stored in System S2  or S3.....
then this data carrier configuration is required if iam right?
But Sir apart from this funtionality can i also know the SAP definition purpose, as it defines  data carrier type as below
The system requires the data carrier type in order to exchange data with other data carriers.
This is the case, for example, if the user:
wants to process original application files stored on another computer
wants to use an application installed on another computer
if i can interpret this in right way
it tells us that, by use of data carrier and Data carrier types
we can access a  original file stored in Different systems,
if it is so why is this required as the documents are always stored in a central content server and Once checked in, any one can access the document from Server,
    2) can we make use of Application softwares Installed in one System and make it run in another system, example,
if there are say 3 system totally, among this S1 system1 has Autocad Installed in it ,
rest of the 2 system have not installed Autocad, Can the system 2, and 3 edit the auto cad drawings in there system, does at this situations where Datacarries and Data carries types come in to picture,
if so how is this made possible?
pls explain with example or Screen shots in Wiki if possible
can u tell me what is the difference between Datacarrier and Datacarrier types with any examples as well
    Thanks and regards

  • How to define a data carrier type "archive" in DMS

    Hi, experts.
In order to intgerate DMS and ArchiveLink(Check in origin with ArchiveLink), i want to define a data carrier type "archive" in DC20.
    I have already defined a content repository 'Z2' in OAC0, but i can't enter 'Z2' into the field-data carrier,
error message: You cannot use data carrier Z2 - try displaying possible entries
    Message no. V&021
and the only possible entries is 'MA'
which type content repository could be used as data carrier type 'archive",
or there are some steps that i missed?
Here are parameters of 'MA' and 'Z2':
MA     ARCHLINK     SAP System Database     0046     ma
Z2     ARCHLINK     HTTP content server                     0046     Test
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Let me refresh your message with your Permission.
i think iam also in the same confusion, any suggestion regarding this is eagerly welcome.
i have some specific senario in DMS where the Client needs to store the DMS Original Files in SAP Archive Server through SAP Archive ink,
here if i configure a part of Archive Server, so as to store the Original application files of DMS,
    say ZDMS_Arch01, ZDMS_Arch02, ZDMS_Arch03.
ie.. if i configure Archive server as a Storing medium for DMS Original Files, will it appear as an Option to be selected for storing the original application files,
just like as we get the list of storage catagories to store the Originals like DMS_C1_ST or any content server Storage catagory (clicking Check in original, in CV01N transaction
any one who have configured this please Clarify.

  • How to create a reference instead of complex type for record in data structure type in BizTalk schema

I have created the record in BizTalk schema but i will give to Data Structure Type as reference For eg:Recordname(Reference) instead of recordname(Complex type).
Please help me to sort this out

You can add a reference to an existing type only.
You might have to manually edit the XSD file to change the xmlns definiton to xmlns:tns and then after you define the record type, set the datatype to tns:.... this creates the XML Type. Then later in your schema you can instantiate this with a name and
then set type to tns:.... (Reference)

  • Abnormal termination of runform when PROCEDURE is used as Query Data Source Type

I created a package with a procedure that returns a table of records. This
procedure tested OK in SQLPLUS. I then created a form and in this form a block
that used this procedure as the Query Data Source Name, and of course the Query
Data Source Type has been set to PROCEDURE. This form runs beautifully when the
number of records returned is small (a few hundreds). But when the number of
records is large (I have one case where the total number of records returned
was 11099) then it will crash. I also found that whenever this happens, there
will be a file in my C:\TEMP with funny namessuch as s90, s81, etc. They are
always the same size (5008 kBytes).
    Anyone any ideas?

    Chandra,
Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunatel, we have requirements that translate to logics too complicated to be handled by views, and that is why we use PROCEDURES. This actually works very well and very fast, except when we have lots of records returned, then it fails. I am just wondering whether this is a configuration problem ???

  • Query for records on a block with Query Data Source Type : Procedure

    Hi All,
The veriosn of form I'm using is:
    Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.8.23.2
I have a block based on a procedure.
But when I enetr-query and search for records specific to ceratin criteria even then the result of the Query is all records.
Is Query not allowed on a block with Query Data Source Type : Procedure.
    Hope my question is clear.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Arif

When you use a table based block, forms can construct any select with any where clause based on the given inputs. Using a procedure based block, forms cannot "know" which in or out parameter of the procedure corresponds to which item. Even if Forms could pass the value of an item to an argument automagically, the procedure would have to "do something" with the argument, and you´d have to code it.
So, any item that should be used in the where-clause must be mapped to an argument.
Perhaps it would be easier to use a table based block querying a view? For DDL, you could use an instead-of-trigger on the view.

  • External Data source not appearing in Data source type

    Hello,
I use SQL Server 2012 BI Edition and use Data tools to create reports. I have a 3rd party Data source. While creating a new shared data source, I cannot get it to appear under the Data Source Type. Only the current built in types are available. For test
purposes, I tried editing the RSReportServer.config and added a duplicate entry and it was shown in the dropdown. What should I do?
When this 3rd party data source is installed, under Tools --> Connect to Database, I am able to get that datatype and connect to my data source. I tried uninstalling and this option goes away.
    Regards
    Vivek.

    Hi Vivek,
Based on my research, the error always occurs when you load custom extensions in SQL Server 2012 Data Tools or use Report Builder 2.0 to run an SSRS 2008 or SSRS 2008 R2 report that uses a custom data processing extension in server mode. According to your
description, it seems that you are not in those two scenarios. So I think this issue can be caused by that the Custom Data Process Extension is not deployed correctly in SQL Server Reporting Services.
The following document about Implementing a Data Processing Extension in Reporting Services is for your reference:
    http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/22946/Implementing-a-Data-Processing-Extension
Besides, please note that Report Builder is currently not extensible, and can't load custom data extensions or custom query designers. We can refer to the method posted by Robert to work around this issue:
    https://go4answers.webhost4life.com/Example/custom-data-sources-report-builder-30-15682.aspx
    Hope this helps.

  • Regarding types

HI after upgrade iam using an include in my program
where iam getting and syntax error stating
In Unicode, DESCRIBE LENGTH can only be used with the IN BYTE MODE or
    IN CHARACTER MODE addition.
FOR THE BELOW CODE IN THE INCLUDE.
    DATA:   L_LENGTH                    TYPE I.
             DESCRIBE FIELD L_MSGTX LENGTH L_LENGTH.

    4.7 and above Ver:
describe field pdf_data length v_length in byte mode.
Byte Mode is an addition in Unicode system (4.7).Byte mode will generally give the length in bytes
1 Character holds one byte and an integer is of 4 bytes.
There is anther addition also character mode which is used for flat and character types.
    4.6b Ver:
    describe field pdf_data length v_length.
It is for non unicode system.this will not work in unicode systems.(i.e4.7).
It will give you also lenght in bytes.
Only difference is Unicode and Non-Unicode system..
Hope this will resolve your query.

  • Date/Time type not getting determined in ODO

When ODO is created, it's date/time type is not getting determined automatically. due to this, the route determination is not happening which is further creating problem in POSC setup.
I have setup  date/time types at the path IMG>EWM>Goods Issue Process>OBD>route determination>Define scheduling within route determination.  Here for my new document type+PDO catergory, I have set two date/time types TDELIVERY, TOUTYARD.
This is set for particular SAP client only.      In current status, to make the system work further, I need to update the ODO manually.
under IMG interfaces ERPintegration, map date types from ERP to EWM...  following are maintained correctly

    WSHDRLDDAT

I hope, you might have taken care of the below two screen shots.
Could you also share some screen shots of the issue where it is not mapping. That helps to understand the issue more.

    Hi,
    Conversion Routine..
I will just give you an example.....
For us in user interface English language is EN... but for system it is Just 'E'...
There conversion will happen from user to system and while retrieving from system to user..
So there are two routines for that.
    CONVERSION_EXIT_ <conversion routine name> _OUTPUT
    CONVERSION_EXIT_ <conversion routine name> _INPUT.
These coversion routines do the conversion job

  • Creating data dictionary type using custom java class

    Hi Experts,
I have a situation involving the TableSorter mechanism as described here:
In order to do my sorting correctly, I've created my own Java class implementing the Comparable interface. Based on this class, I need to define my own data dictionary type to be used in a context/table.
However, I cannot se how this could be achieved as standard Data Dictionary elements can only be based on simple built-in types. Any ideas?
    Kind regards,
    Rasmus Røjkjær Ørtoft

    Hi,
have you tried to use the following steps while creating your attribute
    1) Right click on the context
    2) New->Attribute
    3) Manually-> Provide a name for the attribute
    4) Browse->Select java native type and select your class
