Data retrival from PSA

Dear All,
We have SAP BW system at our place,
There was some data related issue in SAP R/3 Side due to which Daily updates were unsuccessfull.
We corrected the issue in SAP R/3 Side.
and updated data using full uopdate, This might have deleted some data due to data replication or any other reason.
Now i have reset it to delta update. and update process is running successfuly.
But now i find data for some period is missing.
Please help to resolve this issue.
Regards,
Gaurav

Hi Gaurav,
Find out selections for missing records.
If you are using an infocube perform deletion for the above found selections However if you are using an ods/dso ( in overwrite mode ) no deletion is required .
Create an infopackage, go to scheduler menu and select repair Full load:
give the selections in the data selections tab , these selections should be similar to what used while deleting the records,
Update mode Full
Start the infopackage
This is how we perform repair full request
Hope this helps

  • DTP can Not extract data of date field from PSA to Target DSO

    Hi everyone.
    I enhanced several fields in datasource "2LIS_12_VCITM". that is date field "BLDAT" and another date type fields.
    The data of date type fields are extracted very well from datasource to PSA.
    But only field "BLDAT" among them are NOT extracted from PSA to target DSO.
    Another date type fields is good. but only "BLDAT" field is empty.
    I added "BLDAT" later than another date fields.
    Is that the reason??
    I don't know why.
    Let me know the solution. pls~~~~

    Hi,
    Try deleting and recreating the DTP and loading again.
    This solution refers to note 925941 and should be solved in SPS10.
    Best regards,
    Olav

  • Data is not updating in data target from PSA

    Hi,
    i have loaded data from flat file to an Info Object(with direct update)....the data is loaded correctly into PSA...when i manually read data from PSA to data target its not updting in data target.......can anyone help with this....thanks in advance..

    hi bwusr,
    direct update, so it's master data,
    is it attribute or text ? perhaps there's invalid character or lower case,
    check in monitor tab detail.
    and when you said not updated to data target,
    you check by right click 'maintain master data' ?
    or you mean it's not updated to reporting ?
    execute change run ? rsa1->tools->apply attribute/hierarchy change.
    hope this helps.

  • Data reload from PSA problem

    I has standrat BI7 data load process: DataSource -> IPackage -> DTP -> DSO.
    I've deleted 3 last requests in my custom developed DSO. They do exists in PSA. Now I want them to be restored from PSA, but unfortunately, there is no "Update with scheduler" menu item then I right click on request in PSA.
    The data source, IPackages (full, init, delta) and the DTP are active.
    I tried to use rsa1old, but I didn't datasource in data source tree, probably because i'm using BI7 data load...
    So, why SAP doesn't allow me to update requests again? Are where any other ways to do it?

    Hi Gediminas,
    once you deleted the requests from DSO automatically you can observe the "not updated to any target" symbol in the PSA fro those requests that are deleted from DSO
    so when you schedule the DTP (Delta) again it will only take the requests from PSA which are not updated to any targets so it should take the deleted three requests and once they are updated to the target the symbol will change in PSA for those requests
    But if you do any structural change to the data source then you again need to replicate adn activate the Data source and load the data up to PSA
    Thank you

  • Error 8 during data transfer from PSA - Cube

    Hello,
    when I want to load data from PSA to Cube I get "error 8 in update".
    I already had error 7 oder error 4 in the past, but what does this error 8 mean and how can I solve it?
    Thanks in advance

    The reason is this
    that if you try to load data records to the cube which is already archived. Please note that until the archives are not reloaded
    back, the same interval cannot be loaded.
    workaround in case of semantic lock is
    is to reload the data from archive -> semantic lock disappears -> load/update the data -> archive data again.

  • Data Deletion from PSA Tables

    Hi,
      I deleted 2 failed requests (10000000 Records) from PSA Tables because of the disk space issue for our BW System.
    RSA1—PSA –DELETE PSA DATA –
    The requests are deleted from the PSA, In BW in can see that there not requests in that particular PSA.
    But Basis/Database team raised an issue that the data has been added to the Database…
    What is this mean and how can I proceed with this
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Thanks for the info provided.
    So according to the info provided the Deleting the request from the PSA  marks as ‘To be Deleted’
    ‘When the last of all requests in one partition gets deleted,’ what do you mean by this.
    There are 2 requests in our PSA,I deleted 2 of them and in BW when I go to PSA there I don’t find any requests available in PSA.
    But our basis team complained that some data has been added to data base
    Thanks

  • How to load data for attribute of Master Data Object from PSA

    Hi Experts,
    I have a Master data Object, 0Equipment.
    I loaded data to PSA from R/3.
    I am able to see records for Zxxx field in PSA.
    I have added a new mapping object Zxxx in BW.
    But, when I loaded the data from PSA to Master Data Object, 0Equipment,
    I am not able to see records for Zxxx which is an attribute of 0Equipment.
    I do see the records for rest of the attributes of this Master Data Object.
    I tried deleting and reloading the data
    and treid to check attribute change run
    Please let me know if I am missing something in loading the Master Data from PSA

    Jr Roberto,
    I checked all the records in Maintain Master Data and did set the Zxxx Not Equal To Blank.
    No data for Zxxx InfoObject, eventhough there is data in the corresponding field in PSA.
    I did 1:1 mapping.

  • Data moving from PSA to Infoobject- ASAP

    Hi all,
    I am moving data from R/3 to an Infoobject, strangely the data get updated till PSA but no to the infooject. so while debugging the tranfer structure i found that the infoobject is assigned with incorrect R/3 filed. My doubt is if in the tranfer structure level itself it is incorrectly assigned the how does the data appear in PSA. Please clear my doubt.
    Regards

    Hi,
    the data is tranfered from R/3 to PSA without any trasformation. So transformation can be done in update or transfer rules. Chechk them both and import the data again.
    Regards
    MK

  • Extract specific data packages from PSA

    Hi all,
    When loading 20 million records from the PSA to the DSO, 50 000 records (in 6 different data packages) have not been loaded (we got a dump).
    Now we want to do a delta load only containing these 50 000 records. Is it possible to choose exactly which data packages to extract to the DSO? Or do you have other ideas we could test?
    Thank you.

    hai,
    it is posible .u click the tab comes under dtp...first u click the dtp.under the delta u choose get data by request...after tat u load the data...so the data loaded package wise...if any one not loaded then only load that package only...
    thanks.

  • Data retrival from XML nodes

    Hello all
    I have a xml file somthing like this

    - <location-results>
    - <error>
    <number>12</number>
    <information>Invalid credentials</information>
    <system method="NULL" />

    <second>4</second>
    </server-time>
    <server-interface>1.0.5 uguduwa</server-interface>
    </lbs-server>
    Can i use somthing like getNodeValue(lbs-server/location-results/error/number) to retrive the error number from the above structure. if this is possible or alternative please explain with a sample code cause i am bit new to this techonlogy.
    Thanks in advance
    Prash

    To retrive the error number from the XML file, you can use JDOM API, and say:
    Document doc = builder.build(XML_File_Name);
    Element root = doc.getRootElement();
    Element lr_elt = root.getChild("location-results");
    Element error_elt = lr_elt.getChild("error");
    Element number_elt = error_elt.getChild("number");
    String your_value = number_elt.getText();
    JDom has features of both SAX & DOM Parsers. You can find more info on Jdom at :
    http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-05-2000/jw-0518-jdom.html

    Can't use REBZG field of BSEG which is not a primary key ?

    Hi
    U need to get all payments and check if they are partial payment.
    I don't know which kind of items (vendor or customer) u need to control, but if u need to check the customer payments:
    - A) Select the payments from cleared items (BSAK table)
    - B) Check if the field  REBZG is filled

  • Data retrival from standard transaction

    hi all,
    i have to get the material list from stadard t-code ca80 i have debugged the program and the whole material list is in tmapl internal table so if any one can find me a solution thats ll be very helpful. and points are rewarded
    thanks in advance
    anupama

    hi,
    You can call transaction and send the data to it.
    call transaction mm01 and skip first screen.
    set parameter ID 'MAT' FIELD P_matnr.
    Here you are passin gthe selection screen parameters to the standard transaction MM01 and skip the screen..
    you start recording like in BDC and execute it here.
    so you will be having the data in the internal table that you can update in the Database table.

    Hi theresita,
    i would like to retreive payroll results from it's allocated cluster tables .
    1. U want the remuneration (monthly salary )
    2. U won't get it DIRECTLY from any table.
    (Its stored in cluster format)
    3. Use this logic and FM.

    DATA : mypy TYPE payin_result.
    DATA : myrt LIKE TABLE OF pc207 WITH HEADER LINE.
    SELECT SINGLE seqnr FROM hrpy_rgdir

    READ TABLE myrt WITH KEY lgart = '1899'.
    4. the internal table myrt
    will contain what u require.
    I dont think there is any buffering concept
    involved in cluster table.
