Data Server Connection Problem in MII 12.1 Version.

Hello Experts,
I am using two instances of MII 12.1.8 Build (20), at which am recently facing problems in the Data Server Connections.
Am not able to connect to the Data Servers using connectors [IDBC, Virtual IDBC].
When I checked the status of the servers, it is showing the status as running but there is no available connections.
When trying to create the query templates I dont get the available tables list populated too.
The driver details for jdbc used are the default ones,
For IDBC,
JDBC Driver : com.inet.tds.TdsDriver
ServerURL : jdbc:inetdae:<ip_addr>:1433?database=<db_name>&sql7=true
For virtual IDBC,
ServerPackage: com.sap.xmii.Illuminator.connectors.Proxy
The error that we got in the LogViewer.

Actually the connections were working fine, in both the MII instances am working on (of the same build).
Now they both have gone down, all of a sudden
Please suggest the checks and corrections, I should do to overcome this hurdle.
Thanks for any help in Advance.

I am trying to create a Crystal report but when I try to configure a new connection it does not work.
I select Sap Business One data source and try to complete the information required to connection but it does not list my companies databases, what is the problem?
Our Current SAP related software details are as follows:

    Hi,
There is problem with SAP Business One date source.
I had faced same problem, I used OLEDB Data-source, and it worked fine for me.
    So, try to use OLEDB.

    Hello Sue,
I have an iPad 3, iPad Mini and iPhone 5S and they are all sluggish on capitalisation using shift keys. I hope that Apple will solve the problem because it is driving me crazy.
I find using a Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 phone, which I also have, work as well as all the ios devices before the ios 7 upgrade.
It has something to do with the length of time that you need to hold the shift key down. The shift key needs to be held longer than the letter key for the capitalisation to work. For some reason, this is a major change in the way we have learnt to touch type on computers. I am having to relearn how to type!

  • M website in Verizon's Site Builder can't be crawled by Google-server connectivity problem-

I made a one-page website in Verizon's Site Builder program, then "added my site" at Google. Google says it can't crawl it.  Don't know if crawling is necessary but seems good to have it working regardless. Google says there's -server connectivity problem-.  Would that be Verizon? (I purchase FIOS)
I have another website made in same Verizon program & don't have a problem with it at Google. It's almost identically made, & also one page.  So why the difference?.
Anyone know how to fix or understand this?  How to correct server connectivity problem?  or how to reach Verizon support service about this?  (no support is available at Site Builder) .
FYI, the -add a site- & website tool dept. at Google is called Webmaster Tools. Free tools for websites.
I'm so disappointed all my efforts contacting tech supports at Verizon hasn't offered concrete answers. They pass me on to other depts.  one after another...
Would appreciate direction with this. Many thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I've gotten a response, and it would seem that since my webpage comes up fine when typed in browser, that there isn't anything more that Verizon can provide.  That it would be on Google's end to assist.  But Google says there is a server connection problem.
In the end, the website seems to work fine and I'll leave it at that.  And for whatever crawling provides, I guess I will pass on that.
    thanks for the response.
also,  the area for == private support messages == can be located below your post via your profile page. (i think that's how it works.)

  • Content Server connection problems

    SAP Content Server connection problems
I have installed the SAP Content Server on a Windows 2003 server. I connected to the Max DB on the remote server from Database Manager on my PC. I created repositories in R/3 in OAC0 and CSADMIN and saved documents to the Content Server. This all took a few hours from O/S install to saving a document in the repository, so I do understand the basics of the Content Server and Max DB.
Unfortunately we are not going to use Windows; we will be running this on UNIX. Therefore I'm trying it out on a Linux system while I wait for the AIX system to be available. It's been a long road but I have finally gotten the install to finish 'successfully' however I can't connect from R/3.
When I run the check http://10.XXX.YYY.ZZZ:1090/ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?serverInfo from the browser on the Linux host I get back a good status as shown below:
    serverType="SAP HTTP Content Server";serverVendorId="SAP AG";serverVersion="640";serverPatch="0";serverBuild="16";pVersion="0046";serverStatus="running";serverDate="2008-03-25";serverTime="22:39:45";startUpDate="2008-03-25";startUpTime="22:32:21";lastAccessDate="2008-03-25";lastAccessTime="22:38:33";
However when I do this from any my PC it won't connect. (Of course the real problem is I can't connect from R/3.)
If I try the same URL from a different user session on the same Content Server Linux host I get the same good status.
I thought maybe the httpd.conf file was wrong so I tried:
    Listen 0.0.0.0:1090
In cs.conf I tried commenting out AdminSecurity & AdminSecurityGroup.
I also changed StorageDriver from SAPDBStorage to FSStorage.
I don't know if this is related or just another problem to tackle once I can get through this one. I was not able to add the new system to the Database Manager. I get the error "-4 could not connect to socket [10060]".
Thanks to all for any help. Points will dutifully be rewarded.
    David

    Hi Henk,
It looks like I am dumber than a rock. The firewall was indeed active on the Linux host. I turned it off and can now do the http connection test to the Content Server. (I awarded very helpful points.)
I still can't connect to the database with the Database Manager however the message has changed; it now says "-4 XSERVER might be inactive". I just turned off the firewall so I have a few things to try, like figure out how to start MaxDB without the DB Manager. I'll post my progress. Thanks Henk.

Now I have installed the Database Studion on my PC. No I'm getting this message when I try to connect to the host/database on the Linux system: "Cannot connect to host 10.XXX.XXX.XXX:7210 [Connection refused: connect], -813."
Does MaxDB need to be started to connect? Any idea how to start it manually? Thanks,
    David

Ah, at long last. There's this tiny yet very important little program called x_server that SAP didn't include in the SAP Content Server install guide. This needs to be running in order for anything to connect. I'm sure most of you know about it but for the rest you can find it in:
    /sapdb/programs/bin
    Then type
    ./x_server start
I'm not sure what user it should run under but I started it as the sdb user.
You could automate the database startup with a script. See http://maxdb.sap.com/doc/7_7/e9/005dac1592496783e26133eb7fad0b/frameset.htm
Thank you Henk, I'll call this problem solved and award points.

  • SQL Server 2000 problem with MII Version 12.1.8 Build(24) Reconnecting

    Hi,
I have a problem using XMII Version 12.1.8 Build(24) with com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver JDBC driver with SQL 2000.
The problem we have is the machine where the SQL server is installed on reboot as per schedule once a week. When the server comes back online, XMII  seems to get problem to reconnect correctly. Sometimes it reconnects perfectly, sometimes not.
When it fails, the only way to fix the problem is to uncheck the 'Enabled' checkbox, then save the data server, then check the 'Enabled' checkbox, then save again.
When the reconnect issue happens, uploading messages to SAP fail 100% of time, but downloading Control Recipes  from SAP works 50% of time. For example, some PO's can be processed correctly, some others not, causing data losses due to poor data buffering(buffering doesn't cover connection time out). The failed PO's are marked as 'Sent' into CO53 SAP transaction but in fact, are lost in a hole causing data losses.
See the error we get atfer the server reboot:
Unable to get a connection from the pool
    [EXCEPTION]
com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The TCP/IP connection to the host VANASR70, port 1433 has failed. Error: "connect timed out. Verify the connection properties, check that an instance of SQL Server is running on the host and accepting... [see details]
Cannot create a connection to the database
    [EXCEPTION]
com.sap.xmii.Illuminator.system.CommunicationException: Cannot create a connection to the database... [see details]
    Error processing transaction com.sap.xmii.bls.engine.TransactionInstance@cee764f
    [EXCEPTION]
com.sap.xmii.scheduler.CronException: PMU ERR VAN - Cannot Qry MSIDs.... [see details]
Unable to get a connection from the pool
    [EXCEPTION]

The only way we have thought to workaround this problem is to develop our own buffering method into XMII workbench puting all data received from SAP or SQL insert query into an Oracle temp database. We should probably be able to fix this by this way, but it reprensents many costs and efforts, so we try to avoid this for sure.
Please, if you can provide us a patches or hints about how to fix this, it could be very appreciated because loosing data is very anoying.
    Thanks a lot!

The validation query is in place and the system works very well 99% of the time.
When the SQL server machine reboot each sunday morning, during the time the machine is rebooting, the data server lose the connection which is normal, but when the machine comes back alive(less then 10 minutes), the data server seems to stay in an 'in-between' state showing the connection status 'Running' but showing also error messages posted in the orginial post in Netweaver logs. So at first look the data server is up and running and reconnected to SQL server after the reboot, but in fact, following these errors after the SQL server machine has rebooted, some data are processed correctly from SAP (Control Recipes) and some not.
The problems looks like very similar to threadID 1596329.
Here is the data server configuration for all our 5 data servers:
    Connector IDBC
    ConnectorID
    ConnectorType SQL
    DatePrefix '

  • Mail server connection problem

Mail in my macbook pro from time to time interrupts mail server connection (mac mini server). As i discoveredn turn off turn on wi fi reestablish connection. Does anybody know how to solve the problem?

Check the server log for details on the local mail server activity.  These mail server logs are available via Console.app or via Server.app.
To verify local DNS services — a very common cause of problems — launch Terminal.app and issue the following harmless, diagnostic command:
    sudo changeip -checkhostname
You'll need to enter an administrative password for the sudo, might then see a one-time message describing the use of sudo, then some server network configuration information if and as available, and finally an indication that there are no changes required, or that there are DNS or network or other issues.
You'll need to be referencing your local DNS server — you cannot reference your ISP DNS servers, nor any other off-LAN DNS servers here — in your clients.  This either by explicit configuration in the clients, or via the DNS server settings distributed by your local DHCP server.  Do not reference both local and off-LAN DNS servers, either — just your own local DNS server(s) on your local NAT'd network.  No off-LAN off-NAT'd-network DNS servers can provide valid DNS translations for your local LAN, and SMTP traffic is based on properly configured DNS.

If you use HttpsURLConnection for this, it will work on java 1.4.1, but not on prior releases. It will (as far as I can tell from experiment) use the time that the server provides for Keep-Alive.

  • Server Connection Problem - connecting to ePrint

Hi,  I've just purchased a new HP Photosmart 5515 printer.  I've connected it to my PC over wireless successfully. My PC is fully connected to the internet.  There is no network involved. I cannot get the ePrint function working.  When I select the ePrint button on the printer I get the following message - 'Server Connection Error'.  I am requested to 'Enter Proxy'.  I cannot fing any instruction how to set proxy seettings to get this operational.  Could you please assist me with this problem.  Many thanks

    I hope you are doing well and welcome to the HP forum;
In order to take advantage of all the features the ePrint service has to offer, your ePrint-enabled HP printer must be directly connected to a network with an active Web connection. You need and router or Access point which is reffer to as  an infrastructure network,  If you have not installed your product on a network, select your product from the following list to review complete network installation instructions.
If you complete the previously mentioned steps you can do this after to set your printer with an static (non changing) IP Address and google dns public servers to ensure that this works properly
(sometimes the preset DNS server assigned by you ISP will create conflict)
    Let's do this;
Follow these steps to print a network configuration page from the HP product.
On the product-control panel, touch the Wireless icon ( ), or touch Wireless .
Touch Print Info . The product prints a network configuration page. After you have printed a network configuration page or wireless network test report, check for the following:
Does the network configuration page or wireless network test report indicate any problems? If so, follow the recommendations on the report to try to resolve the issue.
Do the reports indicate that the HP product is connected to your wireless network? The network name that the HP product is connected to shows on the network configuration page or the wireless network test report.
Make sure that the product is connected to the correct wireless network, and not another wireless network in the area (such as your neighbor's).
Follow these steps to assign a static IP address to your HP product.
      In the browser on your preference please type the printer's IP address and the EWS (Emblemded Web Server) should open here  Click the Networking tab, click the Wireless tab, and then click the IPv4tab. (Your menu path might be slightly different, depending on your HP product model.) A new settings page displays there do the following;
Set a Manual IP : Your wireless router automatically sets an IP address within a specific range (called the DHCP range). If you know what the DHCP range is, set an IP address in which the last set of numbers is outside that range, but no higher than 254. Keep the first three sets of numbers the same. If you do not know the DHCP range, select a fairly high IP address, like 250 (again, for the last set of numbers). To learn about your router's DHCP range, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or wireless router manufacturer.
Subnet address : Use 255.255.255.0, unless you know that it is different, in which case you should use that number.
Set the gateway address and the first DNS.  Find the gateway address in network configuration page you printed previously and added here and for the DNS servers. Use google's Public DNS Servers which are 8.8.8.8 and in the second (Alternative DNS) 8.8.4.4
Att this point you will be ready to take full advantage of the capabilities of EPrint just follow this instructions to get started GO HERE.
Hope this answer your question and helps you.  Let me know if I can assist you any further I will do my best to help you.
    Best of luck;

  • Shared Server Connection Problem On Rac

    Hii All
I configured dispatcher parameter in Rac environment as
    "alter system set dispatchers='(address=(protocol=tcp)(host=node1-vip.domain.com))(dispatchers=10) (session=75)' scope=both sid='RAC1';
but when I run lsnrctl services I see vip ip address instead of node1-vip.domain.com so I have connection problems because Client trying to access to server via internet through Nat ip address and listener replies requests vip ip address so client can not connect the server.
I can acces to server on DEDICATED connection.
    Have you idea ?

In document lsnrctl ouput shows host=node-vip But I cant see nor node1-vip.domain.com neither node2.domain.com just see node vip address That does not really matter - as the hostname is an alias for an IP address and as long as the hostname resolves to the correct IP address.
The issue (as I mentioned above) is that the external client needs to resolve these names to the NAT addresses. So what happens if you ping node1-vip.domain.com and node1-vip from the client? What happens when you telnet on the client to port 1521 and hosts node1-vip.domain.com or node1-vip ?
If this works and the client's Oracle connection does not, enable SQL*Net tracing on the client and look in the trace file for failed calls.
Also keep in mind that you would (by default) only have port 1521 NAT'ed. So should the client be redirected for a connection using a different port, it is unlikely that this port is NAT'ed - unless you're basically blindly NAT'ing all ports which would be unusual and risky.

  • Server connection problem trying to scan document to e-mail

SERVER CONNECTION ERROR WHEN SCANNING DOCUMENT TO E-MAIL

    Hey @oooth,
Welcome to the HP Support Forum.
I understand you're unable to currently use your HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer's scan to email feature.  I would like to assist you with this.
Are you an Instant Ink subscriber?  If yes, please click here and scroll down to review the steps that I posted in my reply. These suggestions are only applicable to Instant Ink users.
If you are not an Instant Ink subscriber, try the following:
Touch your printer's wireless icon  to confirm that you're connected to your wireless network.  If not, click here for instructions on how to get connected.
Next, touch  to ensure your webservices are enabled.  (If you are seeing an @hpeprint.com address you are connected).
If your ePrint/webservices are not enabled, touch OK to complete the setup.  Or, if you try to enable them and you run into the same server connection issue, I recommend you restore your printer's factory defaults and start from scratch with your wireless and webservices setup.  Also follow these steps if you have ePrint enabled, but still cannot use scan to email.  Here's how:
    Touch Wrench/Setup Icon
    Touch Tools
    Touch Restore Factory Defaults
    * Note that if you complete these steps you will be resetting your printer's wireless, webservices, scan to email  setup and any other customized settings.  If you have a customized ePrint address you will lose it permanently.  Click here for more information on custom ePrint addresses.
After completing the restore, click here for instructions on how to setup scan to email.
Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post.  If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below.

  • Sun One application server connection problem for Oracle DB

On our project in live environments we have six Sun One application servers that have been configured to connect to RAC Oracle database using OCI drivers. ( JDBC thick driver)
Sun one application server : Version 7.0.0
    Oracle Database : Version 9.2.0.4.0
Following are two scenarios where Sun one server receives an error while attempting to perform any DML operations onto the database e.g. when you will try to send a insert/update msg through sun One.
Case 1: - If the Oracle package/procedure/function is compiled using Alter package/function/procedure.... command
    problem
Any attempt to perform a DML operation using RMI calls though Sun one application server with already established oracle connection will fail.
Sun One application server needs to be bounced to get an up-to-date state of the package.
Case 2: If the Oracle package/procedure/function is compiled using Create or Replace package/function/procedure.... command
    problem
First attempt to perform any DML operation using RMI calls though Sun one application server with already established oracle connection will always fail. Any subsequent attempts will be successful.
We are using JDBC OCI think drivers. I tried flushing Shared pool at the Oracle side but it didn't help. For some reason Sun One seems to Cache the session information for already establised connections with Oracle database. As its live system we don't want any outage. i.e we know bouncing oracle app server will solve the problem.
So just wondering is there way/workaround to make aware the already estlised connection from sun one appserver to Oracle DB about changed packages/proceduress in the DB?
Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated.

Forgot one thing: when I use remote debugging , it works.

  • Weblogic - jndi and data source connectivity problem

Unable to deploy EJB: OrganizationEJB from sempire_bc.jar
The DataSource with the JNDI name: OrganizationDB can not be located. Please ensure
that the DataSource has been deployed
successfully and that the JNDI name in your EJB Deployment descriptor is correct.
In my console, I have created a connection pool 'oraclePool' and 3 datasource
    'jdbc.GangsterDB', 'jdbc.OrganizationDB' and
'jdbc.JobDB'. I have also specified the target server and there seems to be no
error. I have checked 'Monitor All Connection
Pools' and oraclePool is running. I still do not understand the problem that I
am getting and have no clue how to solve it.
    Thank you

    just looking at you weblogic-ejb-jar.xml,
your ejb jndi names are the same as the data source jndi names...this
    may be your problem.

Unable to deploy EJB: OrganizationEJB from sempire_bc.jar
The DataSource with the JNDI name: OrganizationDB can not be located. Please ensure
that the DataSource has been deployed
successfully and that the JNDI name in your EJB Deployment descriptor is correct.
In my console, I have created a connection pool 'oraclePool' and 3 datasource
    'jdbc.GangsterDB', 'jdbc.OrganizationDB' and
'jdbc.JobDB'. I have also specified the target server and there seems to be no
error. I have checked 'Monitor All Connection
Pools' and oraclePool is running. I still do not understand the problem that I
am getting and have no clue how to solve it.
    Thank you

  • Branch Office - Mobile Server connection problem

Branch Office is successfully installed on a XP-PC inclusive the services are started, Mobile -Server is installed on a remote Server. After login with user and password in http://localhost/webtogo/ "Branch Office Web" it takes a while (we think in case of synchronization) but then we get the message at the left side of the browser "javax.servlet.ServletException: Could not get Automatic Sync Status"
We think its a problem of the connection to the Mobile-Server but we have no Idea, how we can solve this problem because we can't verify the problem. There is no firewall and no restriction in our network.
We hope that anybody has an idea!

BTW. How may concurrent user can be support by Oracle9iLite?
