Data Sim usage in USA

I have just bought a mac pro and will be travelling to USA. Any suggestions on which data plan i can use.

The MacBook Pro does not have a "data sim" or 3G or 4G access built in. You will need to buy a USB adapter from any of the cell service providers (ie: Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, etc.) It is best if you go to their respective websites and look around at their plans and prices

Unable to change stock posting date at usage decision while inspecting HUs

If we were using materials without WMS it's simple: thereu2019s a button in the screen for stock posting by which we're able to change document date and posting date; but we're using WM and the screen is slightly different: the button I'm referring it's gone!
So, how to change the posting date at posting stock in QA11 when we're using handle units? Some end-user told me that in version 4.7 this was possible. I don't think so ...unless there was something customized at WM IMG...or maybe they were using a USER EXIT to bring a pop-up window for this (I'm starting to believe that this was implemented..). This is the first time I work with HUs, so I don't know how to manage this.

im kevin from the philipines, im here in saudi arabia, i bought a internet data sim from one of the telecom here and unfortunately its not
working on my iphone 4 which i bought from the philippines, does anyone know what should be done for the settings i guess?

if it is locked to at&t you could possibly contact them for unlocking and cant use that iphone worldwide.

How do you know what the data usage was for and why? It shows you date and usage but not the reason.

How can you see what data usage was for on the bill? It only shows the date and usage but not the reason for the usage.

You can not see this info on VZW's site. There are apps for smartphones that will break down the info though, but by site or what was downloaded

Data SIM doesn't work in X1 Carbon 20A7005PMH

Anyone experience with entering APN and Authentication on Windows 8.1?
It prompts me to enter my PIN and then refuses to connect. Then suddenly it says Insert SIM. And then I have to reboot to get the SIM detected again.
What I tried:
- SIM works in my phone when configured manually
- My other SIM works in my X1C2.
Combinations:
DATA SIM + X1C2 = NO GO
DATA SIM + LUMIA 930 = OK
SIM + LUMIA 930 = OK
SIM + X1C2 = OK
I get no option to configure my SIM card manually in my X1 Carbon 2nd gen. This is obviously frustrating.

I was having issues getting mobile broadband working in my ThinkPad X1 Carbon. My provider is Mobistar in Belgium.
When my secondary SIM-card (data SIM) was in my X1 Carbon, I couldn't go further than entering my PIN-code, and then eventually failing network authentication. Then all I was left with was an error message that I couldn't be authenticated by the network.
Eventually Windows 8.1 would ask me to "Insert a SIM / No Service". Because apparently after entering my PIN-code it would fail to detect the SIM-card, unless I completely shutdown my X1 Carbon and then started it again.
I had two SIM cards at first:
Primary SIM-card: Is a Micro-SIM I manually cut to a nano SIM to get it fit in my Nokia Lumia 930. With Dolphin 15.
Secondary SIM-card: Nano-SIM with Internet Everywhere 2GB.
These are the SIM-card formats for my devices:
Nokia Lumia 930: Nano-SIM
ThinkPad X1 Carbon: Micro-SIM
These were the combinations I tried:
Micro-SIM cut to Nano-SIM size with Micro-SIM frame
ThinkPad X1 Carbon
Works
Micro-SIM cut to Nano-SIM size - Nokia Lumia 930
Nokia Lumia 930
Works
Native Nano-SIM with Micro-SIM frame

The solution?
Get a native micro-SIM if you are having problems. Nano-SIMs are only 0.67mm thick, while micro-SIMs are 0.76mm thick. Then there are also differences in the SIM-card chip itself as you can see in the picture below. The black lines are different, and the micro-SIM chip is slightly larger as well. Getting a nano-SIM with plenty of adapters won't save your day or is not an all-round solution you can use because it appears to be conventient or simple.
Notice how the chip of the micro-SIM is slightly larger compared to the nano-SIM. Also the black lines are slightly different.

Changing posting date at usage decision for handle units. How?

Does anybody know how to change posting date at usage decision for handle units (HU)?
If the material is not managed by HU, SAP allows this modification (there's a button with a hat on it referring the material document header).
For HU I cannot seem to change posting date!

Yes it's possible! Well,...unless for versions 4.6C, 4.7 and ECC 5.
I've found SAP Note #752131 by which SAP declares that you can create the pushbutton from the Screen Painter referring the document header.
That's all,.....so simple, and it works fine!
This note applies ONLY to version 4.6C, 4.7and ECC 5 (which is the version the customer I am with has installed).

Tracking Data Transfer usage

I have a web-site (web.mac.com/jmiller22) created using iWeb and hosted on iDisk. A little over a month ago I started posting my internet radio show to my web-site as a podcast. The podcast is also available from the iTunes Music Store. I've now started getting e-mails from .Mac as my Data Transfer usage creeps up (90% according to today's e-mail). I run StatTracker on my site and it does a nice job of tracking site visits but it doesn't appear to track downloads. I'm not finding anything on the .Mac site either (apart from disk usage) and I'm not getting any feedback from iTunes (I'm not sure if I really expected any). How do other folks track podcast downloads and other data transfer usage on .Mac?

I don't make Podcasts or use these special "feeds" so I'm really not sure of the steps.
iWeb uses special code (the long string identifier) and a javascript file to point to the URL of the file. The RSS created in iWeb and then Published to .Mac does all the magic.
I would think that an edit of the .js file to point to the new location of the file would be all that's needed to keep things working.
Never tired it but it seems like a no-brainer workaround of the bandwidth limits in .Mac service. I guess someone with a file and a server could test the theory.
I've placed many of my "movies" into my iDisk Public folder so one file can do multiple work. It would be the same if I had a different server.
Another method would be to upload the file to the other server first and then make the iWeb page. "Drag" the URL into iWeb and it shouldn't be uploaded to .Mac when the page is published (I think and no way to test).

Ipad 2 per paid data sim - Greece

Wife is booking a holiday to greece and I want to take my ipad with me.
Obviously I dont wanna pay roaming charges on the sim i use in the UK.
Does anyone know if you can get a pre paid data sim in greece for ipad 2?
If so, how do i get it and how much will it cost, network .... etc

I am experiencing a simular issue.
I have the Ipad with retina display. I had 4G working and then decided to change my credit card info (to a different charge card) on the ipad. As soon as I changed my credit card the 4G stopped working. I've done the network settings reset and that didn't fix it. I worked with customer support for over an hour today and they couldn't fix it, they said we need to replace the SIM card but I don't think they are right as it stopped working the second i changed my credit card #. Of course AT&T was successful in charging my new credit card... just not providing internet service...

How to view iPad data plan usage history?

Is there a way to view AT&T's Data Plan usage by month?
All that I can find is what is available on the iPad Settings in Cellular plan. I don't find a web site login or any other way to see what I've used each month.

Since this is a carrier issue, we are probably not going to be able to help you. You are paying for this service, so be assertive when you call customer service.

Livecache data cache usage - table monitor_caches

Hi Team,
We have a requirement of capturing the Data cache usage of Livecache on an hourly basis.
Instead of doing it manually by going into LC10 and copying the data into an excel, is there a table which captures this data on a periodic basis which we can use to get the report at a single shot.
"monitor_caches" is one table which holds this data, but we are not sure how we can get the data from this table. Also, we need to see the contents of this table, we are not sure how we can do that.
As "monitor_caches" is a maxdb table I am not sure how I can the data from this table. I have never worked on Maxdb before.
Has anyone had this requirement.

Data Plan Usage

We currently have have share plan that allows us 1400 minutes of talk time each month. We also have a Data Plan that allows each of us 2 GB per month. When either of us accesses the internet, does that use any of our shared talk minutes? In other words, sonce we never use even half of our talk minutes, if we reduce them, will that affect our data plan?

No they are separate from each other. You can reduce your minute plan and your data plan will be left alone.

I have done that and it is definitely on. My husband has the exact same phone and I upgraded his IOS at the same time, but this problem is not happening to his phone (we are also on the same plan, so our service should be the same). Our settings appear to be identical and my phone is showing the 3G symbol at the top, so I can't understand why it won't access the network.
I've turned it on and off twice and have reset all settings with my iTunes account, but it still isn't working.
I'm not a complete idiot with this sort of stuff - I have tried all the obvious things.
