Data source 0CCMS* extraction failed

Dear Expert,
I am trying to extract the following data sources from our ECC6.0 system.
0CCMS_ASR_DATA
0CCMS_DSR_DATA
0CCMS_WEBAS_STATREC_DATA
but the error message "Error 6 in function module RSS_PROGRAM_GENERATE" always come up once the extraction process started.
Please your help on this.

The problem is that this datasource are a kind of exotic
datasource-type. There are Segmented datasources. That is, if you look
at their extract structure e.g. CCMSBI_DSR_EXTSTR the datatype of the
fields cannot be interpreted correctly by RSA3.
You can check them in transaction RSA2 and you will see that
both of them are of Type SEGM, therefore it is not possible to
test them from RSA3.

Hi,
Two are different master info objects and can't get them from one data source.
think about multi provider or info set on two master data objects to club them.
Info object - 0MATERIAL and data source - 0MATERIAL_ATTR
Info object - 0VEDNOR and data source - 0VENDOR_ATTR

While running DS job through designer we are getting below error:
ODBC call <SQLDriverConnect> for data source <SErver name> failed: <[>. Notify Customer Support.
Additional notes:
1. Source and Target datastore are getting connected properly as i have imported table's definition using it.
2. Source and target data store pointing to SQL server 2008 R2 express edition DB (64 bit).
3. It seems like server machine has both 32bit and 64bit drivers installed on it. Please refer attached driverdetails.jpg file for more details.

When opening a form in SharePoint 12013 that was created from Infopath 2013, I get the following error.
You do not have permissions to access a database that contains data required for this form to function correctly.
An entry has been added to the Windows event log of the server.
Log ID:5566
When I go to the log files on the SharePoint server. I see the following error.
Exception Message: The form cannot connect to the data source. Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON'
I am guessing this has something to do with the UDCX connection and the database.
Can anyone help me get this fixed?

Hi Jim,
Please check the following kb article when it occurs 5566errro with the UDCX conection file, try the method of using the Secure Store Service to store alternate credentials for the data connection method, or the method of stating the credentials
in the UDC file explicitly.
Also check if it could help with setting sql server as "SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode".

Data source and Extract Structure

Hi all,
I have a doubt on Data source and Extract Str,
when i used one info cube with some char and kf's
after i did extraction shall we change the extract strcuture prequently other wise better to use all the predefined extract strcuture hide in data source.
if i hide in datasource after extraction i want to use some of hide fields, so we can use it? if we can use how can we extract data for that specified hide fields to bw side.

If you wont to create the genaric data source at that time
you can create cube with some char and kf.
after extraction you wont to modify the structure ? if you mofify
the structure then replicate the data source and delete the data
and upload the data from r/3 to bw.its not correct way every time modifying the
structure.if you put hide means that fields are not coming to
bw side.if put modify the hide field ,first goto rsa6 edit data source
remove the hide check box and save after come to bw replicate the data source
delete the data and load the data (if you wont full data for hide field)
if you dont load full load means only available upto data only what ever field you modify the
hide to unhide,

BusinessObjects Explorer The creation of the data source object tree failed

Hi,
I'm trying to create a new information space in BusinessObjects Explorer 4.0. When I select the Universe I want to use and click "New" Information Space I get the following error.
Failed to retrieve the data source details.
The creation of the data source object tree failed.
I'm just using a local installation, BI Platform 4.0, Client Tools, and Explorer are all installed on my Windows 7 machine. It's intended to be a demo environment.
Any guidance would be appreciated!

Hi Jeff,
first of all BI4 Enterprise is not supported on Windows 7 and it may not work properly for various reasons.
But you can give this a try:
Update the command line parametres of each of the Explorer Services to use a different value for the connection server libraries
The changes are made to the command line of each of the Explorer services
- Master
- Exploration
- Indexing
- Search
Remove the following from the command line parameters of the existing Explorer services
-connectivity_dir "C:/Program Files (x86)/SAP BusinessObjects/SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0//dataAccess/connectionServer"
Example of the original Explorer Master server command line parameters:
-Djava.awt.headless=true -Dosgi.configuration.area=configuration.BI40.ExplorerMasterServer1 -server -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -Dosgi.clean=true -Xmx1g -jar plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher_1.0.101.R34x_v20081125.jar -loggingPath "C:/Program Files (x86)/SAP BusinessObjects/SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0/logging/" -connectivity_dir "C:/Program Files (x86)/SAP BusinessObjects/SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0//dataAccess/connectionServer" -serverkind explorerMaster

No data in R/3 data source after extraction!

Hello All,
i am extracting the data from R/3 source system ( 4.7 ides system).
after succesffully transferring the data source and replicating it to the BW, i had created a infocube and scheduled the info package so that R/3 data source data gets uploaded into the Info cube created.
after scheduling in the header tab of monitor screen i found the error messege as "no data in R/3 data source, check your data source in R/3".
is it that data does not exist in R/3 Business content data source or is that data has not uploaded into BW?
can nay body here thorw some light onto it?

Hi Ravi,
Please check the tables associated with your datasource and look if the data is available inthe respective tables.
You can also check the extracted records in T.code RSA3 in R/3 for your datasource.

SM37 - "pause" V3-update job while importing data source and extract struct

Hi
Insted of deleting an hourly schedulated V3-update job and the recreating it (after a import of a extract structure and a data source) I came to think about whether it is possible to, kind of, pause the job that I otherwise would delete and recreate.
Is this possible some how?
My thought:
1. Find the job in released status.
2. Select the job and change it (top menu Job-->change)
3. Change the scheduling to some day in the future
4. Change job status from released to scheduled
5. Import the extract structure and data source.
6. Change the schedule job back to hourly run.
7. Now the job should run on hourly basis again....
By the way: what do I import first, the data source or the extract structure?

Any data source to extract material price or Standard cost history

Hi All,
Currently we are using data source 0CO_PC_ACT_05 for material price extraction.
But it seems this will only extract current period, previous period and previous year last period.
But my requirement is to extract the material price history for any old periods.
Do we have any table from where we can extract this details? or any standard data source through which we can extract this details?

WebLogic 11g data source connection pooling failed with IO error:socket read timed out.

We encountered IO Error: Socket read timed out( <Received exception while creating connection for pool "DS_1": IO Error: Socket read timed out> ) during the creation of data sources in WebLogic 11g. Manual data source testing seems to indicate intermittent connection and the server seems to take a long time to start up with multiple IO errors. We increased the timeout at the database side but it does not seems to help. The database is 11g (11.2.0.3). The database services and listener are up which does not indicate that the database instance is down.

This particular error means your database is down and socket is timedout. Or the query takes so long that the reader timedout -- unlikely.
Also, the general weblogic socket write errors, which you might see sometimes means that the client got disconnected before the server wrote results back. This is harmless

MySQL Data Source causes a "Failed to Generate Wrapper Class" error

Hi all, I've created a MySQL datasource but when I make it the source for a EJB
I get the error above. I think the error occurs during deployment, rather than
while building. It seems to be having problems with the Data Source URL but I've
checked the syntax and it all seems OK. When I use a WebLogic-supplied, PointBase
datasource the deployment works OK, so it must be the way I've configured/built
my datasource. Any areas I should check before I go further? I'm using 8.1 evaluation

Thanks Flip, I tried your suggestion but I still get the same error. One bizarre
thing is that if I use the"com/mysql/jdbc/Driver", I get a ClassDefinfitionNotFound
error when installing the connection pool, but no such problem if use the traditional
"org/gjt/mm/mysql/Driver". Using this I can at least create a data source but
the class wrapper error is still there. Any more suggestions, anyone?

Data source not extracting Noted Items

Hi All,
I want to extract records from fbl3n and Noted Items.
I feel 0fi_gl_4 extracts from the same. My issue is it doesnt pick the Noted Items.
I read and came to know Note number 411758 helps to bring this, but our ECC sustem is in 617 component and we are getting
error message as SAP Note 0000411758 cannot be implemented.
Can you help me with New SAP Note or do I require to do any config?

Data source JNDI lookup fails in Weblogic 12.1.2

What is changed in the Weblogic 12.1.2 JNDI handling?
My EJB 2.1 application has been working fine with Weblogic versions up to 12.1.1, but with version 12.1.2 it is giving the following error at startup:
weblogic.application.ModuleException: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: remaining name: comp/env/jdbc/DataSourceAlias
where jdbc/DatasourceAlias is the res-ref-name of the actual datasource named jdbc/APP_DATASOURCE which is set through the admin console.
The discovery of the datasource is performed by this piece of code :
ds = initialContext.lookup ("java:comp/env/" + refName)
This is what is failing with Weblogic 12. After some research I found out that in order for the datasource lookup to succeed, I have to :
1) ignore the subcontext "comp/env" and
2) use the actual JNDI name "jdbc/APP_DATASOURCE" instead of the reference "jdbc/DataSourceAlias"
However for the EJBs, nothing is changed, they are found in the comp/env subcontext.
Hope this helps someone, or let someone tell me how the migration to Weblogic 12.1.2 is supposed to be done.
