Data speed issues on the Three UK network

I have had my new Z10 for two weeks after being an android user.
I am frustrated by lack of apps and would love to have OS10.2, but I have noticed that when I am tethered using my laptop I get no where near the data download speeds I used to get on my Sony Xperia T, any one had a similar problem?
Just to indicate how bad it can be I have seen test download speeds that are lower than the upload speed!
Any help would be appreciated

I'm currently searching for a working versions for 3uk wlm. I had others which worked on s60 v5/v3 but not with Anna.
Its java apps, I'm not sure what the problem is, if anyone has a copy that works in the N8 please share. thanks

  • Intermittent data-speed issues with iPhone 4S

    I am using an iPhone 4S (64), iOS-5.1, AT&T carrier.
    Occasionally, when using Safari, there will be no response when I try to bring up a website, even when I'm showing full bars and 4G coverage. The "whirligig" wheel just keeps on spinning and spinning until the website-load times out. This problem is intermittent, but occurs semi-regularly. There seems to be no correlation with the strength of the signal I'm receiving, or my location, and I know that I have not had my data speed "throttled" as a result of being a heavy data user. I called the Apple Helpdesk one time and received the advice that I should, when this happens, go to >Settings, >General, >Reset, >Reset Network Settings. Although this usually works, it's inconvenient, and I'm seeking a more permanent solution.

    Last month I checked the data usage on my iPhone 4S three days after the start of a new billing cycle. To my shock I discovered that I had been charged with about 193 MB of usage. That was very odd because 193 MB is well above what my total data usage is each month. Immediately contacted AT&T Customer Service--twice. Each time they could not provide an explanation as to why the data usage was charged to my phone. All they could tell me was that all of the 193 MB were charged on the very day the new billing cycle started. They did try to sell me a larger data plan.
    I thought maybe this was just an odd thing that couldn’t be explained. Kept a close eye on my data usage for the reminder of the billing cycle and didn’t have another large data charge. I still stayed well under the 300 MB plan limit even with the unexpected 193 MB of usage on day one.
    Then my wife checks her iPhone 4S data usage on day one of this month's billing cycle at about 9 AM. She finds that she has been charged with 30 MB of data usage when she hasn't even used her phone. Again, 9 AM; day one of new billing cycle; 30 MB of usage; no active applications running. How can this be? She contacted AT&T Customer Service and once again they were no help. She made two phone calls and also spoke with one CS Manager, but no one could explain why she has been charged for the 30 MB. Anyone else having this problem? Please help us resolve this if you know what to do? Extremely frustrating to be charged for data we know we are not using. Getting no help from AT&T Customer No-Service.

  • Date comparision issue in the report

    Hi Buddies,
    I explain the scenario,
    I have an dunning letter statement report which basically run for the three remainders (1,2,3) to the customer.
    If the remainder 3 runs , i want to display the pervious remainder dates of 1 and 2 in my report.
    If the remainder 2 runs, i want to display the pervious remainder date of 1 in my report.
    I have date column in the dunning letter history table as Dunning_Date.
    How can we achive this in sql?. I am getting struck over here, please give your advice to do it.
    Regards
    Ram

    I think your date format is in different format with the date format u stored in presentation variable so better check the date format of the case function u wrote it in you variable that will solve the problem.

  • Broadband speed issue over the last week

    Hi,
    Hi All,
    For the last 3 years my usual broadband speed is about 4 mbps.  I don't have the best quality service where I live and my BT Home hub V2.0 would usually reset itself 2-3 times a week.  When it does reset the speed usually drops to around 3 mbps.  Resetting the hub manually once i notice the drop usually returns the speed back to normal and everything is fine again.
    I noticed about a week ago that the hub had changed from Interleaved to Fast and speeds fluxtuated a bit between 3 - 4.5 mbps.  On Monday 21st January I noticed that the speed had dropped to 1,152 mbps and the noise levels were over 20.  I tried to manually reset the hub as I normally do but the spped remained the same and the noise levels hadn't dropped back to normal..  I left it for a further day and tried again but it still remained at 1,152 mbps.

    BT speedtest at the time of the recent ADSL Statistics (3days and 16hrs)
    Download speed                         achieved during the test was - 0.98 Mbps
    For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.4 Mbps-1 Mbps.
    IP Profile for your line is - 1.01 Mbps
    Upload speed achieved during the test was - 0.67Mbps
    Additional Information:
    Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 0.83 Mbps
    I haven't changed anything, my line is connected directly to the 'old style' master socket and always has been and is about half a metre from the hub so no telephone extension is used.
    I can't hear any noise/crackling on the phone line when doing the 1470 17070 test.
    I am reluctant to reset the hub again because if the speed stays the same I will then have to start the process again.
    Thanks,

    That extra wiring will affect your connection speed. Do all of the extensions start from the master socket?
    Are you sure you are connected to the actual master socket?

  • Dates fields issue in the sales orders through IDOC

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to create a sales order through Inbound IDOC using IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS.
    I have 2 custom fields in the sales order which are date fields.
    I'm populating them from the IDOC segments(using E1EDKT1-tdid, E1EDKT2-tdline) in the user-exit just before the call trasacation statement. These dates are not coming for a few orders... but are getting populated normally for few of them.
    But the tricky part is that... if I process the same IDOC for the second time.. the order created is having the dates.
    My issue is that.. i need all the orders to be populated with the dates which IDOC have.
    Could anyone please help me with this issue.
    All the answers/replies are highly appreciated!!
    Thanks for you help!

    hi,
    the following may be of help
    There are 2 major exceptions to the batch input internal table. All text data from the segments E1EDKT1/2 and E1EDPT1/2 are not part of the batch input session. Text elements from these segments are posted directly to the data base AFTER the sales order has been created (please note: in order that item texts are posted correctly to the sales order the field POSEX from segment E1EDP01 MUST be transmitted). Also, configurable material information from the IDOC is exported to a global memory and therefore will not be part of the batch input session. Configurable material data is performed in Form CHECK_CONFIGURATION and the data is exported to global memory in the following code:
    Exportiert IDOC Daten ins globale Memory
    export IDOC data to global memory
      call function 'CUXC_IDOC_TO_MEMORY'
           tables
                cfg_instref = xe1curef
                cfg_ref     = xe1cucfg
                inst        = xe1cuins
                part_of     = xe1cuprt
                value       = xe1cuval
           exceptions
                error       = 1
                others      = 2.
    One extra piece of useful infomartion if you wish to debug the process is to set your breakpoints at the following points
    for Function module IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS
    include LVEDAF0F..
      CALL TRANSACTION 'VA01' USING bdcdata
                                MODE  input_method
                                UPDATE 'S'
                                MESSAGES INTO xbdcmsgcoll.
    Now input_method is A foreground process and N for background processing but try changing it to P (pass through mode)
    If you have breakpoints in va01, e.g. MV45AF0B_BELEG_SICHERN,(the part where the sales document is saved)
    they will be hit, e.g
    perform userexit_save_document_prepare.
    perform userexit_save_document.
    Lastly, don't forget using program SDJEDI , see note 380603 for more information on this
    Hope this is useful

  • Data Extraction issue from the data source 2LIS_08TRTLP

    Hi All,
            We are facing one issue in time of extraction from data source 2LIS_08TRTLP(Shipment Delivery Item Data per Stage) in BW. For some out bound delivery no. Gross weight(BRGEW) is coming zero though there is value showing in the source system(ECC) in VL03 and in LIPS table. BRGEW (Gross weight) which is directly mapped in BW infosource. There is no restriction in the extraction and 0 is coming for this field in the first layer extraction.Even in the PSA all values are zero.
            We have checked those delivery , delivery is being split into batch . But not the all split  delivery is
    giving this problem.
    With Thanks
    Shatadru

    Yes I have done the same  means I have filled setup table for those shipment no related to that delivery no and  checked in the RSA 3 and required value  is coming  in RSA3 a. That means there is no problem in the Extractor  .But I can not pull the data now in BW as it is in Production and every day delta comes .But the in the first layer ODS there is no value for that entry which was previously loaded(Though there is no routine and any restriction).
    But I have one observation in the data source that  particular field is in INVERSION marked in the Source. But that particular delivery for which it is giving is not canceled or returned or rejected. PGI created for that delivery and delivery status is completed for that.

  • Speed issue with the AirPort Extreme (802.11n)

    Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help out with this.
    I am the Design Manager and IT Director at a publishing company where we have just upgraded to an AirPort Extreme (802.11n) base station to drive our network. We went this route as all of our machines are Mac Minis with built-in Airport and we were in a situation where re-doing a hardwire on the building was not going to be a possibility due to budget costs.
    Our new configuration seems to be running very well and has the following devices connected to the AirPort Extreme:
    Linksys Firewall Router (which was used on our old system and was requested by corporate to stay in the lineup to keep the static IP addresses we've already defined for our printers, VPN, etc. intact). The configuration on this part is modem to Linksys router to uplink port on the Airport).
    New Panther, Intel based Xserve connected to the Airport's Ethernet port 1.
    A 4 port ethernet switch connected to the Airport's Ethernet port 2 which drives four of our HP LaserJet printers.
    Ethernet port 3 is not occupied.
    All of the ethernet cords connecting our equipment are brand new.
    For the most part, everything's been running blazing fast with a remarkable speed increase over our old hardwired setup. However, I've received a few complaints about slow speeds when dragging and dropping and working with files that are stored on our Xserve - we get alot of the "spinning wheel" and the transmission speeds seem very slow.
    At present, we have several category 6 ethernet cords on backorder. I was planning on using one to take advantage of the gigabit ethernet capabilities between the Airport and the Xserve (as these are the only two elements of the network that support gigabit ethernet, besides the majority of our Mac Minis. Printers and cable modem are only 10-100 capable, so those will stand as is).
    Can anyone tell me if the gigabit ethernet cord will be the solution to this one slow aspect of the new network? Any other settings I could apply to possibly speed up the transmission time when moving files to and from our server? Good news is that every workstation in the house is getting a full 4 bars.
    Many thanks!

    PS, just wanted to point out that we are also running in bridge mode.
    Thanks!

  • I tried to burn windows 7 Iso using disk utility for more than 3 time with the minimum speed, but all the three times I got error saying "disk burn failed unable to verify"?

    I have tried with three different blank DVDs but all got the same error message. But after I got the error message when I reinsert the DVD I can see the ISO in the DVD. So I went a head with the installation but the installation stops just after it starts. I have even tried burning the disk at 2X speed.

    It sounds like your optical drive may be dirty. The lens probably needs a cleaning. You can go to somewhere like Best Buy and pick up a cleaning kit.

  • Web ADI Report set, excel is not showing the data for any of the three repo

    We are currently working on 11.5.10.2 and moving from Desktop ADI to Web ADI. At the time of publishing report in Web ADI the excel is empty.
    AFter successfully running the WEB Adi reportset for Consolidate Balncesheet ( for a period ex: APR-2012), there were 3 reports that were publlished as a set. Then I went to Repository Management and went to the folder and subfolder where I saved all the above 3 reports. When I click on view on one of the reports, the excel spreadsheet opens and try to load something for a while but finally ends up loading nothing.
    I am unable to figure out what went wrong. Do you have any idea.
    If someone can help me, I really appreciate.
    Thanks

    Hi ,
    In u r query what I observed was unit cost*gross profit is Amount Sold. Can u make this calculation with Physical calculation rather than and logical calculation.
    See if u have kept logical joins for both the tables with the fact and set the content level at detail level in the content level of fact.
    Then it will work

  • Speed Issue in Report With 1130680 Records Returned

    Hi
    <b>Apologies to the mods if this is in the wrong section, it contains content related to Legacy SDKs (VB6/COM), newer .NET content as well as report design issue.</b>
    I'm using Windows XP SP3 with the database hosted on my machine, an [email protected] with 2GB DDR2 RAM. Neither the client's pc nor their server are as powerful as mine. (It sucks, I know.)
    A report has a speed issue for the end users. The query to the database (SQLS2008) takes 30 seconds and returns 1 130 680 records. And yes, this is the amount of records that need to be returned (the report is a Sales Details report for transactions from 2008/09/01 to 2009/03/31) Running the query through SQLSMS takes the same amount of time whether I execute the statement that the report sends or put the query into a stored procedure. The relevant indices are in place.
    Our application is written in VB6 and uses the CR9 unmanaged runtime. I've written a small little CR application in VS2008 to see if running the report through the CR.NET runtime would make it quicker. I built the .NET app in release mode (with optimization and no debug data) and ran the exe to do the speed tests. The times taken for the report to run:<ul>
    <li>VB6 app - 3:30s
    <li>.NET app - 4:30s
    <li>VS2008 IDE - 2:02s
    </ul>
    I have run the report three times for each app using my cellphone as a stopwatch and the times are reproducible to within two seconds.
    I accidentally ran the report in the VS2008 IDE and it took 2:02s to run. Thinking that the loading of the DLLs in .NET was part of the problem, I added code under a button on the form with the following code:
    CrystalReportsApplication1.Properties.Settings a = new CrystalReportsApplication1.Properties.Settings();
    Assembly aAss = Assembly.LoadFile(a.CR01Engine);
    Assembly bAss = Assembly.LoadFile(a.CR02EntFramework);
    Assembly cAss = Assembly.LoadFile(a.CR03EntInfoStore);
    Assembly dAss = Assembly.LoadFile(a.CR04ReportSource);
    Assembly eAss = Assembly.LoadFile(a.CR05Shared);
    Assembly fAss = Assembly.LoadFile(a.CR06WinForm);
    to preload the assemblies. Unfortunately it made virtually no difference to the running time of the report.
    Suggestion from The specified item was not found. on [this page|Speed issue - internal processing vs views;:
    8. For summaries, use conditional formulas instead of running totals when possible.
    I didn't know that, but we're doing that already.
    I even tried using ngen in a virtual machine for the .NET app, but the time was the same. And yes, I know that ngen is only supposed to aid startup times and that it is actually recommended to let the JIT optimize on the fly instead of ngen optimize beforehand. What really struck me was that even in a VM (using Virtual PC 2007) using 512MB of RAM and only a single core the time was the same.
    My questions:<ol>
    <li>I thought that VS2008 shipped with CR2008 Basic, but according the the references in my project it's CR10. Would the CR2008 runtimes improve the report speed?
    <li>Why do the CR10 .NET runtimes take longer to execute than the CR9 COM runtimes?
    <li>I really, really, really need the .NET runtime to outperform the COM runtimes as our purchase of CR2008 hinges on this. As you can probably guess, we're currently using ye olde CR9.2 from 2002.
    <li>Why oh why do the CR10 .NET runtimes take longer to execute than the CR9 COM runtimes?
    <li>The first level of grouping is a variable which changed the grouping depending on a parameter. I changed it to a field from one of the tables and the times for the apps are:
    <ul>
    <li>VB6 - 2:15s
    <li>.NET - 2:48s
    <li>CR9.2 IDE - 2:19s
    <li>VS2008 IDE - 2:34s
    </ul>I may or may not be able to push it out to the client like this, I don't know. Why did the VS2008 IDE take longer this time? All I did was change the grouping-on-parameter to ordinary grouping.
    <li>Why oh why oh WHY do the CR10 .NET runtimes take longer to execute than the CR9 COM runtimes? Are they just thunkers to the COM DLLs?
    <li>Why does the run in the VS2008 IDE (in debug mode BTW, not release mode) run quicker than both programs?
    <li><i>AndrewJ.requestACookie(Flavour.Strawberry, Flavour.Alternate.ChocChip, RequestMethod.Please); // Hey, it's 5:44PM and I want to go home for the long weekend! </i>
    </ol>
    Thank you and have a blessed Easter!
    Edited by: AndrewJ on Apr 14, 2009 10:04 AM. Changed the CPU, I was thinking of my CPU at home.

    Please re-post if this is still an issue to the .NET Development - Crystal Reports Forum or purchase a case and have a dedicated support engineer work with you directly.
    Bottom line is CR Basic is version 10.5. CR 2008 is 12.2.x.xxxx. Install CR 2008 SP 1 to get .NET support.
    And you can't compare COM to .NET, it's like comparing apples and oranges, both fruits but different flavors.

  • 2 problems with EA6300 both speed issue's

    I got my EA6300 for a while now, overall for what it is used its doing ok.
    Though recently i had to add a tv box to my network.
    Connecting it to the router would not work, since it did not get a IP.
    So i was forced to put a switch before the router.
    So the network cable with the internet signal on it is first connected to the switch to which the tv box is also connected.
    Then a cable supplying internet goes to the router, and another cable which is connected to my desktop pc.
    Both router and switch are all gigabit ports, so that is one thing to rule out.
    The PC is connected to the switch because if i connect it to the router then speed seems to be capped at 100mbit, while it should be capped at 1000mbit with the gigabit ports.
    The PC network is gigabit also, and with a 100mbit cap i cap my internet also since it is faster then that.
    So that is why i had to connect the PC to the switch.
    Could adding a 4 port gigabit switch make the router cap the amount of speed it lets through?
    Because this seems to have started when i added the switch, before that everything was fine.
    Then problem 2.
    To the router i got a external 2TB hard disk connected.
    For whatever reason i cannot get any faster transfer rate then 2mb/s when moving files from desktop to the HD.
    Most times it is just barely getting 1mb.
    This is over the regular windows network, maybe that is the main issue?
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Sevy wrote:
    I managed to fix the speed issue from the router to the PC.
    Though still unsure why wired the transfer rate is so slow.
    From the drive to the desktop i get about 18mb/s which isn't to bad.
    But from the PC to the drive its now getting just below 10mb/s.
    Check if the slow wired transfer speed happens on all wired devices in the network. Upgrade the firmware of the router as well.

  • My ethernet data speed slowly slows down until it doesn't work. How do I fix this.

    So as the title says, I plug my MacPro into hard wired ethernet and slowly but surely my data speeds drop to the point that I have to unplug the ethernet and go back to using wifi. Then if I restart the computer and plug it back in it'll work fine for a little and start to do the same thing. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem.
    Thanks,

    help, it's simply impossible. I do give you a few tips, though: If you
    understand your code (i.e. if it really is YOUR code), you should be
    able to realize that your minimum and maximum never get set (thus they
    are both 0) and your exam 3 is set with the wrong value. SEE where
    those should get set and figure out why they're not. Chances are you
    are doing something to them that makes one 'if' fail or you just
    erroneously assign a wrong variable!

  • Networked Database speed issue...

    I apologize... I am kind of new to programming and have a limited scope of understanding when it comes to databases and sql queries.  I was given the task of creating an application to perform a sorting algorithm and implemented it using LabVIEW 2013, the database toolkit, and a MS Access 2007 database.  The application I wrote worked great when it was first deployed and now that it has been operational for about 2 months, it has slowed significantly. I did some testing and I think I have isolated the latency to network communication issues.
    I believe it is network speed/traffic related because I copied the database locally and sorting was only about 2s - the networked copy takes about 14s!!! Also, the number of users had no impact on this number either - I created a copy of the database, renamed it, saved it to the same folder, pointed my application to that file instead and it was still 14s...  The only noticeable improvement was using a local copy, which will not work for this scenario.
    I spoke to a few people about it and someone suggested changing the cursor location from server based to client based (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms676564(v=vs.85).aspx).  Only thing is, I cannot figure out which LabVIEW is using or how to change it... Is it changeable?  If not, do you have any other suggestions for speeding it up?  It is unlikely I will get much support from our IT department, so any improvement suggestions will have to be recommendations for change to my application.

    I suppose I should have been more clear when I said sort...lol.  The application is used to find a PO for a particular device (sorting to a PO).  There is only one sort operation (a->z) performed in any of my sql queries (see below)
    I was concerned about using the database as well - mostly because I'm not as experienced using them...  The original implementation of the application used text files and flags to prevent data collisions, but we have about 10 people sorting at one time and it was creating a huge lag time.
    The network location of the database (we believe) is probably what is causing most of the issue.  Our IT dept keeps things very locked down and there weren't many choices for implementation methods.  I was forced to use a shared folder on the network to store the database and this shared folder is accessible to everyone in our facility.  Be believe the general traffic to this server is probably most of the issue we are having.
    when the version 2 sort tool was deployed (the one using the database instead of text files) it took just a few seconds to return a result - on the order of 3-5s.  There are now over 150,000 entries in the database, so I'm sure that too is contributing to the lag.
    The database has several tables:
    (1) Log Table: used strictly for logging the device sort data,
    (2) Liquidation Table: lists all of the possible sort locations and the device requirements for each PO,
    (3) Activity Log - used for capturing devices which shouldn't be sorted or other device condition based exceptions,
    (4) Allocation table - for each model it lists whether the device should be sorted to a PO based on the priority of the PO or an allocation percentage, and
    (5) Requirements table - only 3 entries.  Used to control specific behavior of the sort.
    I have several SQL queries in the code that hit this database...
    1. Check the requirements table.  The flags reside in the table to (1) stop the sorters from being able to sort devices temporarily and (2) a flag to force all devices to be cleared and/or graded before they can be sorted.
    SELECT Requirements.Requirement, Requirements.Enable FROM Requirements
    WHERE (((Requirements.[Start])<Now()) AND ((Requirements.[End])>Now()));
    2. Check the log to see if the device was already sorted - if it is, it flags that log entry so it is not counted against a PO and can be resorted.
    SELECT ID  FROM LQD_Log
    WHERE PO_ID > -2 AND ITEM_ID ='[ITEM ID]'
    If not null, a case statement updates the PO_ID for that log entry to a value that will not count against any open POs.
    3. The next query is a little more complicated.  Depending on the device condition, several case statements build the SQL query string to find a PO the device can be sorted to.  Since there could be multiple POs returned, I have it return the POs (at most 5 or so) sorted by priority.  (there are 13 elements for each PO returned).
    4.  The next query checks the allocation table to see if the that model is to be sorted based on priority of the PO or by an allocation percentage.
    SELECT Percent  FROM Allocation_Table
    WHERE CNN ='[COLOR NEUTRAL NAME OF DEVICE]'
    A PO is selected in my LabVIEW code based on the POs returned and the allocation method.
    The PO (Sort location) is displayed to the user.  they scan the sort location and then I write the information to the log in the database - Pertinent device characteristics related to the sort decision, PO Information, user information and scanned location (21 elements).
    There is very little which can be done about the location of the file... it has to be in a shared location, and it has to be able to support multiple user access.  One of the programmers here recommended using an Access database for this reason and many others.  I could possibly lock it down with flags again, but I'm afraid that would only contribute to the problem - I did test a copy of the database to the same network location and I saw the same types of delays, so I really do not believe it is related to multiple users accessing the file.
