Data Supplier: PO to SolutionManager - XI components missing

Hello experts,
we have setup a data supplier connection from our Process Orchestration SLD to the Solution Manager SLD. We have set this up on PO via SLD -> Administration -> Data Suppliers where we have added the Solution Manager SLD as updated SLD.
These are the versions of the two SLDs:
SLD Solution Manager:
SLD Process Orchestration:
Version 7.30.249
Now the problem is the following:
For setting up central PI monitoring in Solution Manager, we need to have the PI domains in the Solution Manager SLD available. Unfortunately the PI components are not registered as technical system type “Exchange Infrastructure” in the Solution Manager SLD and therefore also no PI domains are available. The list is empty:
The system is registered as Web AS Java system in the technical systems instead of type “Exchange Infrastructure”:
In the PO source SLD, all PI components are registered correctly including one single domain with the same name for all PI components (therefore we have no name inconsistencies):
I know that the domain names are not automatically transferred via the data supplier connection. This is described in SAP Note 1631346.
However we don’t even have the PI components properly listed as XI technical system components in the Solution Manager’s SLD.
Any ideas?
Thanks a lot for your assistance and Best Regards
Harald

You have to sync your PO SLD to SolMan along with setting up the sync back on SolMan to the PO SLD.
Have you been to the wiki on PiMon and looked at this doco?  http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-3220

  • Problem changing sld data supplier slddsuser to new userid in VA

We are experiencing lockouts with slddsuser in the SLD so I planned to change all fo the userid's under sld data suppliers to a unique userid for each client.  I created a copy of user slddsuser in solution manager and made sure in the UME the new userid's had all of the same security.  When I change the userid in sld data supplier in the J2EE the HTTP fails with a 403 http error.  The CIM test also fails.  The message says to verify the gateway and that the sld service is running which they are since I can change the userid back to slddsuser and everything works fine.  What am I missing for security on the SLD side the new users are exactly the same as the slddsuser that works find??

    Hi
One reason why no other user will work is because you would likely have to create any new users for each data supplier in the target SLDs UME
Actually I noticed in another thread a useful suggestion - its possible one of the data suppliers reflects the wrong password
or an old password for SLDDSUSER this could be causing the lock - unfortunately there is no easy way to identify this
    - perhaps you could check the SLD logs (now and in future) and/or increase the trace level to diagnose

  • Error while testing the CIMClient Test in SLD Data Supplier

    Hi Experts,
I am setting my SLD Data Supplier in Visual Administrator. I had filled the host/port/user/password information for both "HTTP Settings" and "CIM Client Generation Settings". Now, when i click on the "CIMClient Test" button, its getting and error message saying "Failed to Generate and Test CIMOMClient Object".
I have full authorization to use admin tools.
    What might be the problem.
    any help must be appreciated.
    regards
    sunil kumar

    Sunil,
    1. Try to restart the SLD Data Supplier Service in Visual Administrator.
    2. Check your input for testing CIMClient.
Hostname should be fully qualified domain name.
And cross verify the Port number properly.

  • Technical System (Application Server ABAP) - problem with data supplier

My system had problems, I believe with the Data Supplier in LMDB
    there are errors
How can I update / re-add in the SLD/LMDB data supplier?
And how can you get it working correctly providers who do not receive the data (though the system sees them)

    Hi Michael,
You can push an update from Solution Manager (the data supplier) to the SLD in transaction RZ70. There should be a button labeled "Start Data Collection and Job Scheduling". If your jobs are scheduled and everything is set up correctly, then starting your data collection will force an update ahead of schedule. (By default, the update is scheduled every 720 minutes -- i.e. 12 hours).
On the Java side, you need to push via the Visual Administrator (when you're at NW 7.02, that changes in 7.3 to the NWA), but you didn't ask that.
Typically, LMDB grabs an incremental update from SLD every 10 minutes or so. Check for a job called SAP_LMDB_LDB_0000000001. If your SLD-LMDB connection is not working properly, you may need to reset it. (SOLMAN_SETUP (as solman_admin or equivalent). Then system preparation -->5 Prepare Landscape). See SAP help on this Synchronization Between SLD and LMDB - SAP Solution Manager - SAP Library.
Also, on the first screen you showed, System Landscape Technical System - Display, if you click Edit, then click on the advanced button, there is an option to Resynchronize Technical System from SLD. I haven't tried that, but that may actually be what you're looking for.
    I hope this helps!

  • PI 7.1 - SLD Data Supplier issues

I am getting an error while clicking on "Collect and send data' in the SLD Data Supplier service in the NWA. The error is as follows:
    http://<hostname>:<java port>/sld/ds, Status: 403, Message: Forbidden
I looked at all the places that I could think of. Any suggestions?
    SLDCHECK works fine.
All the SM59 destinations work fine.
All the destinations in NWA for the Data supplier (SLD_DATASUPPLIER and SLD_CLIENT) work fine.
I am able to do the development in ES Builder fine. But, when it comes to the adapters, I am unable to see any of my adapters as my cache refreshes are failing. I started debugging this issue and stumbled upon the error in the SLD data supplier.
    Thanks

  • SLD - Data Suppliers

I have recently updated our solution Manager system to SPS22 with java.
Since then the Data Suppliers in the SLD are DOWN.
Administration > Details > Data suppliers
    RFC server threads:
    [DOWN] NUC:<server>_<port>_SLD_NUC_1448281814
    [DOWN] UC ::<server>_<port>__SLD_UC_1102336995
    [DOWN] NUC::<server>_<port>__SLD_NUC_2003281767
    [DOWN] UC ::<server>_<port>__SLD_UC_1129708313
Can anybody tell me if there is a problem with the latest version of Java or tell me how to get the data suppliers back up?
Also the Landscape Fetch job now fails with The SLD server connection is inactive. Is this a consiquence of the data suppliers?
    Hope you can help.
    Russell Burrow

    Hello,
Hope the SLD server is in Running status!
In ABAP stack, is the t-code SLDCHECK for the corresponding system working fine, all GREEN? If not working, check the RFC connection issues. The Landscape Fetch job would be failing due to the same reason.
In Java stack, in VA, check the SLD Datasupplier is working or not. Also check the CIM connectivity to SLD server. if not working, check what is the error.
    Hope this helps.

  • SLD-Bridge / Data Supplier Bridge and new technical systems

    Hi,
The data supplier (data collection process) periodically sends data to the SLD bridge. This SLD bridge provides this information to the SLD.
My question: Will new technical systems be created(!) and updated automatically in the SLD by using SLD bridge??
Or do I have to create new technical systems allways manually by SLD browser??
    Thanks and regards!

How about the "creation" process of technical systems??
I am confused of the idea of the SLD bridge. The idea sounds great to me, but how is the link between the technical systems and all these collected data passed to the SLD realized??
The online documentation is not very helpful...

  • SLD Data Supplier User is locked at regular intervals

    Dear Sirs,
I have a Webdynpro application using two JCO connections to the backend to fetch data. One day it just stopped working. After some searching I found out that my SLD Data Supplier user was locked in the UME, due to too many failed logins.
When I unlocked this user everything worked again. Next morning when trying the application, the SLD Data supplier user was once more locked. If I lock it up it works, but it stops working again at fairly regular intervall (due to too many failed logins).
The time it stops seems to be 15 minutes over each hour; however sometimes it seems to work for more than an hour some times less. This makes me belive that there is some kind of regular job which mess it up.
Below is an extraction on what is going on in the logs around the time it stops working.
I know others have had these kinds of error messages in conjunction with XI, but did not find a solution of the forum with fits me.
Any hint on how I can solve the problem, or find out why the user gets locked is appriciated :=)

    Hi Jørgen,
This problem must be due to the user being entered with an incorrect password in one of your systems which accesses XI. I'm afraid the only way to find it is to go through all your systems' RFC destinations, transaction SLDAPICUST, and anywhere else the user info might be entered.
I would normally recommend creating a separate user for each system accessing XI, so that in cases like this it is far easier to narrow down the search.

  • Creation of CCMS Data Supplier

    Dear All,
Please could you help us with the following. The standard MTEs that SAP provides do not provide somefunctionality such as
    1) Alert Generation when the number of background jobs that are aborted in LAST HOUR reaches a threshold
    2) Alert Generation when the number of shortdumps  in LAST HOUR reaches a threshold
    3) Alert Generation when the number of update failures  in LAST HOUR reaches a threshold
Please could you provide the code of any such datasuppliers that were customized for such functionality.
Is there any other way we can acheive this without writing the Data supplier?

    Hi Suresh,
You can do the recording for the transaction MM01,
and create your own Z Program for it,there you can execute your BDC for required number of fields.
It will upload data through your transaction for your required number of fields.

  • Cannot load required classes for service SLD Data supplier

    Hello Experts,
I am trying to use the SLD Data supplier service from visual administartor for registering my DEV EP 7.0 engine in central SLD.When am trying to access that particular service from visual admin,it is throwing an error saying that:"Cannot load required classes for SLD Data Supplier service and please refer the not for resolution Note No:1017526.
My NW EP 7.0 is at SP17 level and as per the above note all settings are fine and the relevant application is also started well.
Please suggest us for any possible solution.
    Thanks&Regards,
    Apparao S.

    > You can also try the following: Move sldserv.jar from
    > /usr/sap/<SID>/<InstID>/j2ee/cluster/server0/bin/services/sld/
    > to
    > /usr/sap/<SID>/<InstID>/j2ee/admin/lib/
    Hi Desiree,
    Thanks, worked for me too.
Only in my case, when I moved the file, the sld data provider service did not start at all after reboot of the instance.
Also, the sap.com/tcsldwd~main application refused to start.
I then copied the file back, this time maintaining an entry in both locations and reboot the instance. Everything started working after I reboot the instance. The error also disappeared and I was able to change the SLDuser password.
    Thanks

  • Where can I find "writing a Data Supplier" White Pages

I am trying to write my own Function Module for CCMS.
I read the following document from "https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/docs/DOC-17760".
This documnet has the following line:
The following overview documentation confines itself to passive data suppliers under ABAP. For a complete description of the interface, see the document Writing a Data Supplier.
To download the document, start the SAP Developer Network (http://sdn.sap.com), and go to the SAP NetWeaver Developers' Guide Quick Link. Choose Application Development u2192 System Management u2192 System Management Development, and in the ABAP System Management area, select the specified document
I have spent couple of hours and was not able to find the path given in SDN. I have found SAP NetWeaver Developers' Guide, but do not see Application Development.
I appreciate any help to find this document.
