Data tab for table allowing page-up or page-down only once.

Click in a column with a varchar2 datatype. Page up or Down. That is only time you can do it. Clicking in a column with other types does not cause the problem.

You may have switched on caret browsing.

Insert record via data tab of table detail display

I am using SQL Developer 3.0.04
When I tries to insert more than 200 rows into a table via data tab of table detail display, it takes more than 8 minutes. It takes more than 19 minutes for 400+ rows. It is slow and it is not so slow in previous version (e.g. 1.5.4)
Had anyone experienced the same issue and is there any workaround (other than loading data via SQL loader and stop using SQL Developer)?

I've seen this also sometimes but i rarely load large amount of data using SQLDeveloper anyway.
Please make sure you have patch1 installed and provide information on the database used.
You can check if patch1 is installed at the
Help -> About -> Extensionyou should find a "SQL Developer Patch" entry there.

So when we create a notification number... it goes in the function exit but at that time we do not have the notification number generated.... and we are inserting records in custom table in this exit....

Data service for table in Oracle 8.0.6

Hi,
Using WebLogic 8.1.4 and LiquidData 8.5 I am trying to create physical data services for tables in a DB in Oracle 8.0.6. I am aware that that Oracle version is not supported by Oracle anymore, but I need to work with that version anyway (you know how it is sometimes).
I managed to create a connection pool for this through the WebLogic Server Console by providing the JDBC driver for 8.0.6., but when I want to create a data source using the new connection pool and WebLogic tries to get the metadata, I get pop up windows with messages like:
"Bigger type length than maximum"
and
"OALL8 in an inconsistent state"
and
"Protocol violation"
One more thing to mention: I also added the Oracle 8.0.6 JDBC driver to the WebLogic Server classpath (Tools -> WebLogic Server -> Server Properties ... -> WebLogic Server: added classes12.zip to Server classpath additions) and restarted WebLogic Workshop and Server. Still I get those error messages.
Is there a special procedure how to provide/configure a specific driver for a DBMS that is not natively supported by WebLogic?
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the quick reply. Below the contents of the console window from starting the Workshop and Server. I'll try your next hint next and let you know about the outcome. As far as I see there were no errors issued by the Server while I tried to connect to Oracle 8.0.6 to upload metadata. (I am not sure whether anything was printed out while I started the server). Different views in "Personnel Data" tab for a withdrawn personnel number

Hi,
In PA20 one user can see the ticks for "Actions, Organizational Assignment & Personal Data" in "Personnel Data" tab for a personnel number which has been withdrawn.
But another user can see tick only for "Organizational Assignment" in "Personnel Data" tab for the same withdrawn personnel number.
If data is there , it should be seen for both of them , isnt it? What could be the problem with the second user? Please guide

Two tabs for the same page

Hello,
I have been spending the whole morning trying to find a solution for this problem but did not find any either by myself or parsing the forum messages.
I am building an application with a two level tab for the navigation.
Everything is fine as long as the pages referenced by the tabs have a different number.
My problem is that i use the same dynamic page (let say 40) to be accessed through two different tabs.
e.g Parent tab is labelled "Parent"
Two other tabs are created linked to parent tab "Parent" and those are labelled "Action1" and Action2"
Selecting "Action1" will result in rendering the page 40 with a parameter (let say page_type) set to the value 1.
Selecting "Action2" will result in rendering the *same* page 40 with a parameter (let say page_type) set to the value 2.
For the parent tab "Parent" let say that the default is to select "Action1"
Is there any solution to implement that kind of behaviour?
I have tried to create redirecting pages (empty page and a single branch) to achieve this but i always get stucked when trying to have page 40 displaying the proper tabs and parent tab.

Whilst it is fairly straightforward to create multiple tabs for the same page (this can be done through Shared Components, Tabs and click Add on the standard >>tabs bar, enter in any page number you like), the functionality of tabs does not provide the means to set item values. Additionally, as both tabs would be >>"current" for your page 40, once you've clicked on one, you can not click on the other.Yes this is exactly what i discover once my page 40 has been built.
There may be ways to do what you need, but as tabs are really there for navigation purposes only, this may become rather complicated. What is the difference >>between Action1 and Action2? Can this be achieved in another way? Have you considered switching to lists for navigation (where you can set item values)?In fact, i can still duplicate this page and have a few changes within each new page. But as a matter of code design as both pages have around half in common, i wanted to share most of the items (build a single page) and then play for a few additional items with conditions encompassing the page type i have set before rendering the page.=> Most items in common, a few others whose display is conditionnal. For the end user, it looks like two different pages because in their business process the "Action1" and "Action2" are clearly different.
I use lists in this application on the home page to reach most of the application pages but while some users prefer to use the links on the home page and go back to home page, other would like to use the tabs and a number of them use both navigation mechanisms.

00933 error when clicking on the data tab for the selected table

Hi,
I'm getting the following error when selecting a table from the tree view then clicking on the data tab:
An error was encountered performing the requested operation:
ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended

The exact same tables created from sqlplus for a different user in the same database work fine. Note, I'm not typing any SQL in myself. It would appear this happens on all tables created as this user. I cannot see any difference between permissions for this user and others which work but the failing user does have a "-" in the username and password which I'm suspicious of.
This is SQL Developer v 1.2.0 (build 29.98) (the most recent I believe, Oracle Database 10g Express Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 and Linux ubuntu.

"-" is not allowed in identifiers and is almost certainly the cause of your problem. This can be got round by quoting i.e. using "STUPID-NAME" instead of STUPID-NAME.
I'm slightly surprised that SQLDeveloper doesn't quote the statement. Perhaps it quotes table names but not user names.

Data filtering for table and chart

I'm new to crystal reports XI.
I have one sql query which I am using as the data source for a chart and a table (cross tab). The query return balance for monthly data. In the chart I need to display all the data returned by the query. In the table I need to display data for 12 months. I am wondering what is the best way to filter the table data only include the 12 months of data without the use of a second query.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Please use selection expert. Using You can set your criteria of filter at report level itself.
If by standard option you cannot filter for 12 months data, you can go for formuael over there.
else, use subreport(which is like subquering only)....

(RTF) Check if there is enogh space for tables on page...

Hi All,
I have a report consisting of various tables of grouped data, each of which can contain varying amounts of rows.
The first row of each table is defined as the header row and set to repeat across page breaks.
What is happening as a result, is that as the report gets to the last line of the page, only the next table header prints then <new page>, table header reprints followed by the table data.
Is there a way to only start a table on the current page, if there is enough room for at least one or two additional data rows to print?
I could surround the table with another single-cell table, and set this to 'not break across pages', but a single table could be longer than a single page, and I don't want to have (for example) 1/2 page of white space, if the entire table won't fit on the space left on the current page.
i.e. This is the problem:

Paanday, first make sure your Android has adobe air installed on it. Open the android market on your phone and search for it. If you can't find/install it, it means your phone is not compatible and will not run flash content that was exported as an .apk file.
Your phone needs this https://market.android.com/details?id=com.adobe.air&feature=search_result installed.
Also, don't you need Android version 2.2 at least? I could be wrong about this.
And third, like I said, I fixed that issue by recreating my android certificate.

What is a Standard Data Source for table T006A?

As a part of one requirement I need to pull the data from Table T006A which is available in BW as well.
I did many search on forums before posting the same but didnt get clear idea.
I am aware how Units are being updated withing BW but I need to pull the text for all Units within BW.
Do we have any standard Data Source which pulls the data from T006A table?

Requirement is to load the Unit texts(available in table T006A) into one custom InfoObject.
I know this table is already pulled within BW and frequently being updated but didnt get any Standard Data Source which fetches the data from T006A table.
I can create a new Generic Data Source within BW itself based on table T006A. But would like to use Standard Data Source if its available else will have to create a new generic Data Source.

I have an issue related to the Hierarchy of Partner number. I have checked the data source like :-

in the 0BPARTNER_HIER hierrachy, i didnt get the required data but in hierarchy 0CRM_BP_SALES_HIER there is the required data but when i executes the info package, it throws an error message of duplicate records. please tell me that how can i handle the duplicacy in the hierarchy. is there any data source for the table CRM_KNVH_TEMP so that i can directly use that Hierrachy DS for the info object
also let me know whether it is possible if i can use the data souce 0CRM_BP_SALES_HIER in the info object 0BPARTNER.

2.1 Cannot remove filter on table column on data tab of table browser

In table browser, click on the data tab. Click a column name, click a data value and then double click to filter by the data value. Data filters as expected. However, when you click on the filter icon which appears to the right of the column name, it presents you with a list which contains "Remove('<DATA VALUE>')". If you double click "Remove('<DATA VALUE>')", all rows are removed from the data tab.
Refreshing does not make the data appear. Clicking on the filter icon again, the text is changed to "Remove('Remove')". Double clicking that also has no effect on the data grid.
Work around is to right click on a column name and select "Remove All Filters".

Firefox loads only blank new tabs for all web pages, with blank url bar.

After a minor automatic update (16.0.1 --> 16.0.2), firefox is now completely unusable.
Any time I attempt to load a page, it only shows a blank tab labeled 'new tab'.
The url bar for this page will be blank if I try to open it from a link or bookmakrk.
The url bar for this page will be exactly what I typed if I manually typed a url.
Right-clicking the blank pages does nothing: no context menu.
The 'troubleshooting information' page DID load properly though; it's the only page I've been able to display at all so far.
Restarting firefox did not fix the issue.
Restarting firefox in safe mode with addons disabled did NOT fix the issue -- so please don't waste time trying to tell me it's the addons.
Changing network proxy settings did not fix the issue.
There are no connection problems: IE can load pages just fine from the same computer.
I love mah firefox... but now it's dead... please help!

Update: Solved:
Firefox works properly after restarting entire computer.
It's poor form to require computer restarts for minor browser updates... and even poorer to not say so when you do.
(Some of us are running servers in the background that should not be interrupted.)

Order of columns on Data tab for views does not correspond to view's def.

The column order on the data tab is different from the column order that is specified in the View's SQL statement.
