  • Data transfer from CRM to R3

What exact data transfer from CRM to R3, on completion of a sales Order. I am new in the field, need some good example?

    HI Sajjad,
Transafer of order from CRM to R/3 involves following activies.
Setup RFC destination between CRM & R/3
Create a R/3 Site (Transaction: SMOEAC) and assign a subscription named
(Sales Document (Mesg) created from publication Sales Document(Mesg)).
In R/3 maintain Document type with same name as Transaction type in CRM, item category with same name as item category in CRM, Item category determination with same as in CRM.
Master data i.e. Product in CRM should be present with same name as material in R/3. BP in CRM should be present with same name as Customer in R/3
Organizational data is maintained in CRM.

  • Scenario for data transfer from CRM to BW

    Hi Guru's,
Could any one tell me what kind of scenario (e.g. file to file, Idoc to file etc) is used to transfer the data between the following systems using XI interface:
Also, tell me how we can do it......
    1. CRM to BW
    2. Informatica to BW
    3. R3 to BW
    4. Oracle to BW
Thanks in advance.  I will assign you the points
    Regards,

    Hi Bharath,
    it mainly depends on:
    1) what you have to transfer, custom data, standard data (for SAP business logic e.g. customer/delivery)
    2) how you need the transfer mode to be (synch/asynch)
    3) the volume of data
    4) the frequency of data transfer
Consider that a typical scenario for interfacing SAP systems like CRM/R3 with XI is mainly based on IDocs/RFCs/proxy,..
In general when communicating from XI to BW you should prefer Proxy (the first link explains in details why).
I suggest you to have a look at these links:

  • Data transfer from CRM 2.0 to CRM 7.0

Hi, Can we use XIF adaptor to transfer data (for ex : BP) from CRM older versions(for ex : CRM 2.0)  to CRM 7.0.
If yes, pls share some documentation to do it.
One thing I know is XIF adaptor has been available since CRM 3.0 and is not available in CRM 2.0.
Pls let me know if there is any other technique to do this.

Well the help for LSMW is pretty detailed:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/4d/455035082e2271e10000009b38f889/frameset.htm
It explains all the steps in detail of the tool and the overall process.  Plus if you use LSMW there is a "step-wizard" menu that lists what you need to do in a step by step fashion.  I think if you start up the LSMW screen and read this specific help page:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/87/f3ae74e68111d1b3ff006094b944c8/content.htm
That should help you understand how to use the tool.  You will need to decide on your conversion target, which if you follow the blog link I sent you, then you can use the XIF adapter IDOC inbound with LSMW.  You'll just need to read the function module documentation in your CRM 7.0 on the CRMXIF_*_SAVE module (where * is the object anme) to review the approriate steps.
If you need to attach images to documents please look at the class CL_CRM_DOCUMENTS(I believe).  Do a search in this forum(open the timeframe to all of time) and there are several discussions on this.
Here is another article(do a search on LSMW in SCN for blogs/wiki/articles) and you will find lots of great stuff:

  • Increase of work processes for data transfer for specific tables

    Hi,
We are using TDMS for transfer of around 1 month's data from our ECC Quality system to ECC test system. The test system was built using shell creation and the transfer started.
We have allocated 13 batch processes in the central system and reciever system. There are currently two tables for which transfer is running. The transfer is completed for all other tables. But eventhough there are 13 processes available, there are only 3 processes allocated to one table and 2 processes allocated to another table for transfer.
Since the time is dependent on the complete transfer of these two tables and since there are 8 free processes available, we would like to assign the remaining processes on these tables so that the transfer is faster.
Please guide me if there is any way to change the same.
    Regards,
    Ragav

    Hi,
Thanks to Sandeep and Pankaj for the replies.
I've started data transfer in CRM landscape and in that i was able to define the read method, write method and change some technical settings for transfer.
In the Technical settings for transfer option, i was able to increase the parallel transfer batch processes to be run in parallel.

  • Crm to sap r/3 data transfer?

    hi,
if i want to transfer data from CRM TO Sap R/3. which is the best way to do that?
    Thanks,
    saurin shah

    Saurin,
The CRM middleware supports data transfer of customers, products, and sales documents from CRM to R/3.  So in your case, the question is what type of data are you trying to send from CRM to R/3?
Once we know this, we can answer your question.

  • Tool to transfer data from one CRM system to another

    Hi,
We are merging one CRM system into another and need to transfer master data and transactions from one CRM system into the another. What are the options/tools that are available for data migration in CRM 7.0?
Please share experiences/thoughts if you have moved data into SAP CRM from legacy/other SAP CRM systems.
    Regards
    Dan

    Hi Dan,
Looking at your post - I decipher that you would be doing download from a lower version of SAP CRM system to SAP CRM 7 if this is the scenario then you have an advantage as you could employ standard SAP CRM middleware which is a powerful application to download master data from older version to new version, or else you could ALE the master data. Now this being the simple part we move on to the harder part of the migration which is transactional data - namely elements such as Number ranges, document flow, relationships, condition data tables .....etc if you are migrating this from lower SAP CRM version here you would have to understand the interlinking with R/3 or ECC6 in any case you would have to do a fresh implementations but on the whole there are some way outs for examples ; But still  let me know how you intend to migrate and what are systems we are talking about.
    With compliments,
    Tarovar.

  • Data transfer from one crm system (Prod) to another crm system ( quality)

    Hi,
I have a requirement in which i have to transfer a set of data ( BP, Product, Sales Order etc) for a given date range from production system to Quality system. I am more concerned abt the Business documents which move from CRM to ERP.
I thought of moving those outbond bdocs which are generated in crm system for the passing the data into ERP from Prod to Qty sytem and  try to reprocess them as an inbound bdocs in Qty through some program. But i came to know that bdocs will not contain the full data of the business documents which gets created in CRM system. So if i reprocess those bdocs also i will not get the full data of those businesss documents.
Any other alternative is there ?
    Regards,
    M Khan

    Hi,
In the all the data transfer between SAP systems RFC is the best option.
Just create a source system for the new BW system and it will work.
    Thanks

  • Data Cleansing in CRM Web UI

    Dear Experts,
I have activated Data Cleansing in CRM 7.0 and it is working.
Can anyone advise on the setting or configuration required to get the CRM Data cleansing functionality to copy communication data stored at the relationship from the Source record to the Master record.
    Example:
Company A has a relationship with Contact person A - this relationship has a mobile number and email address maintained.
When merging the account of Company A (source) with a duplicate company A1(master), we need to copy the relationship (already occurs) between Contact Person A and Company A and the relationship level mobile number and email address to the master account which will be company A1 (this does not occur).
Currently the relationship level communication data is not copied.
Please provide step by step config settings to enable this. I already have the SAP Notes on Data Cleansing and have covered all WIKI's on the web. What i need are specific steps to overcome this issue.
    Thanks!!!

In order to transfer communication data maitained at the Contact Person relationship level, you have to maintain the required node in transaction BUSWU02: BUP115     Contact's Work Address and BUP120 Contact's Communication Data
If data is still not transferred, SAP has released notes: 1243559, 1491950, and 1493240.  to resolve.  Check the relevance before implementing.

  • APD and Data Target in CRM

    Hi,
I have created ADS in CRM through EEWB with BI info objects.
Now I want to load this ADS table through APD from BI to CRM.
for that I am creating APD in BI with category as general.
I have selected data target as CRM
In that I am giving the appropriate logical system .
In the second dropdown which is for Data Targets : Here I am not getting ADS ( Analytica Data Source ) as my Data Target.
In CRM table BWTARGETS it is there with all attributes.
Also in CRM SPRO the data Target is Available with name as CACHE.
Path in SPRO : SPRO -> Integration with other mysap components -> Data Transfer from SAP Business Information Warehouse -> Define ID for data target adapters.
Let me know what I am missing in above process to get data target ADS in APD design ?

    Hi
Just create a Process Chain to execute this APD method, if the process Chain is already available, then just insert this Process in to the process Chain and execute the Process Chain by normal process, by hoe we do in general.
    Hope it solves...

    Steps:
    1) Activate the application component hierarchy (tcode RSA9). Changes made to the application component hierarchy in the CRM system can be transferred to the BW using the "Edit Application Component Hierarchy" (SBIW - Postprocessing of DataSources).
SAP Note 434886 must be implemented in CRM 3.0 before the application component hierarchy is activated.
    2) Activate the Business Content DataSources (tcode RSA5).
Select/enter the application component and choose Execute (F8).
To compare the shipped and active versions, choose the 'Select Delta' pushbutton. If there is no active version of the DataSource, it is selected automatically.
To activate the shipped version, choose the 'Transfer DataSources' pushbutton.
    3) Management of the versions of the BW-Adapter metadata (tcode BWA5). All DataSources are displayed that are managed by the BW Adapter.
As in transaction RSA5 (Service API Metadata Activation), the 'Select Delta' function can be used to select the inactive DataSources or compare shipped and active versions.
You can also go directly to the screen for maintaining DataSources that are managed by the BW Adapter.
The 'Compare Version' function makes a detailed comparison of the shipped and active versions.
All BW-Adapter metadata is considered when versions are compared:
    Header information (Table SMOXHEAD)
    Mapping information (Table SMOXRELP)
    Global selection conditions (Table SMOXGSEL)
    Attribute key fields (Table SMOXAFLD)
Datasources used in CRM-BW extraction are:

    0CRMFOCST_TEXT
    0CRM_ACCPLN_ATTR
