Data Upload from Multiple DataSource

Hi All,
How can i upload data from multiple datasources to a single Cube in BI 7??
Kindly provide step by step procedure.

Hi,
In BI 7 you still have both data flows present, You can either use the old 3.5 dataflow or the new BI 7 dataflow.
SAP has still allowed organizations to use the old 3.5 dataflow till they convert over to the newer flows so that the production dosen't disturb. Its takes some efforts to convert the 3.5 data flows to the 7.0 flows.
So, the way its usually done is, a technical upgrade is done. Then existing modules are converted over to the 7.0 dataflows in a phased manner. Any newer projects that come along are carried out with the 7.0 functionality.
Even if you install business content in a 7.0 system, you'll get 3.5 objects. You need to convert them over to the 7.0 versions.

Hi,
There are many ways to achieve this.
If your requirement is just to read data from different database (and not to update it), then using a database link would be a better approach.
You could create a database link in the primary database (target database being the one you would like to query). Base your sql query for the vo using the db link.

Create the transformation for each target and connect through DTP if you are in BI 7.0
If it is BW 3.5 create transfer rules and load it Info source and then different update rules for different targets then load it using IP.
If you are speaking about loading data from R3 data source to multiple data sources in BI
Then follow the below step.
1)create init IP's and run the IP's with different selection to different DSO(With same selection it is not possible).
2)Then you will have different delta queues for the same data source in RSA7
3)Your delta loads will run fine to different data sources from same DS in R3.

It completely depends on clients requirement. but following are few approaches:
1. Define Building as Asset Class.
2. Create a Building at specific location at asset code and
3. create asset sub numbers for other components.
other approach would be:
1. Define Building as Asset Class.
2. Create a Building at specific location at asset code and
3. create further asset codes for other components where field description will be used for relating each other.

Data upload from R3 to BPC using filters

We are facing a performance issue on the uploading data flow from R3 to BPC. Two steps have been set up.
Step1: R/3 --> ODS --> BW CUBE (No filters and full mode)
Step2: BW CUBE --> BPC CUBE (Standard BW upload package)
The first one (from R3 to a BW Cube) has no filters, so it loads every data and it takes too much time. However, the second one (from the Cube to BPC) has filtering options, so we can only load the data we need to (we usually use entity and time filters).
Both are executed from the BPC DataManager.
Any advice to improve the performance of the first step? Could we join the step 1 and step 2 and get the filters from the standard BW upload process using a custom process chain?
Does anybody have any experience using filters to reduce the amount of records on the data uploading from R/3 to BPC?

for example in BI data is stored as below

**I'm not quite sure how you are getting the above data from infocube.Are you directly loading data from PSA to infocube with out loading data into DSO -0FIGL_O10(General ledger(New):Transaction figures) ?
To get required format of following data, no need to do any thing while laoding the data into BPC. Your BI infocube should maitain the data in below format.
GroupAcc - Date - Balance
100000 - 12.12.10 - 100 - (LC)
100000 - 12.12.10 - 100 - (TC)
100000 - 12.12.10 - 200 - (GC)
To acheive above format of data in the infocube please follow standard way of data flow given by SAP in BI Contect(http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/e6/f16940c3c7bf49e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm).
Flow should be
R/3 --> PSA --> DSO -->Infocube.
In this flow its important to remember about infoobect 0CURKEY_TC in DSO.
This is always the currency key of the transaction currency; it is also filled for records with a different currency type. Without this key field, postings with different transaction currencies would be overwritten after summarization and thereby be lost.

Once you follow the standard flow, your infocube contains the requried format (LC,TC and GC )of data to load it into BPC application.

Data Load into two data targest from one DataSource

Hi,
I want to load data into two data targest from one DataSource. I did full load, then Initialization & delta settings for that DataSource. But I want to load data into one data target using delta InfoPackage & into 2nd data target using Full Load InfoPackage. Can I schedule execution of these 2 infopackges one delta & 2nd Full load InfoPackage for the same DataSource simaltaneously?

Hi,
In BI, You can achieve this. As thorugh info package, you laod data till PSA only. Then it is being loaded to other data targets.
Create two DTPs, one with FULL load and another one with Detla Load. It will work.
In R/3 Side, As sandeep has mentioned , there might be possibility that if you run full load after delta , your delta may get corrupt. i am not sure about that , but there is a possibility.

There r no prerequisites to your requirement . How ever we have different data flows for your requirement as 1. multiple data source to different info sources or transformations to a single cube 2. multiple data sources to single info source or transformation to a single info cube . Any way regarding data flow complexity , second approach is easier one ......

Data acquisition from multiple channels.

Right now, I am able to acquire the signal from a single load cell and display it.But I would like to know of how to acquire acquire signals from two load cells simultaneously.I am using Labview 6i and I am using AI S-Scan with AI config to acquire the waveform.It would be of great help if you could suggest a simple method to acquire the signals.
PS: Please find the attached file used for acquisition from a single load cell.

If I understand what you are trying to do, it is relatively
straightforward to configure your application to acquire data on two channels.
I was unable to run your vi as it was missing some of the subVI’s
from your application. However, your
attachment was sufficient to see what you are trying to do.
Here is how to add channels:
1.
In the I/O Channel Constant, you can add
additional channels by using a comma or a semi-colon. For example, to scan the first four channels
you would put 0:3 in the constant (see attached screenshot ChannelConfig.jpg). To scan the first and third channel you would
put 0,2.
2.
The AI Single Scan VI will now read from
multiple channels. Often it easiest to
configure the output of this VI for viewing by first putting the data into an
array using the Build Array VI. It can
then be plotted in a waveform graph. (see attached screenshot ReadtoGraph.jpg
and WaveFormGraph.jpg)
Just a few notes about “simultaneous” sampling:
Most of the NI data acquisition cards have a multiplexer
between the various input channels and the Analog to Digital (A/D) converter
creating a very small delay between each channel (usually ms range or
smaller). NI does make several data acquisition
cards that can perform true simultaneous sampling, meaning that there is an A/D
converter for each channel.
For the large majority of applications, the small delay
between channels is negligible.

Va31 shedule line agreement data upload from flat file

Hi abapers
I have to upload some data (va31) from flat file to my database (shedule line agreement data) I am using user exit for it...Cant get which user exit will solve the purpose and where to check it from..I tried using SDTRM001 , meeta001 and and the va45A series but its not working. I used break point on these user exits but its not stoping at break point.
Can any one help me where to find which user exit will work in this case?

Data load from to datasources to InfoCube via common Infosource in BI7

Hi all,
I need to load data from two diffent DataSource to one Infocube. Between this Infocube and DataSources there is one infosource common for both Datasources.
Between Infocube and Infosource there is one transformation and between each DataSource and that single InfoSource there are individual transformations.
I need to move data from each DataSource to infocube via InfoSource and through all the three transformations..
I tried to create a DTP to load data from one DS1 to InfoCube. It worked fine. But while creating DTP from other DS to Infocube I am not able to use the transformation which I have created from InfoSource to Infocube. Its getting bypassed and systems creates a new transformation between DS2 to infocube.
Can anybody help me for this???

We need have Infosource as we need to have currency transformation, and multi-stage transformation...
My question is when I am creating a DTP for second DS it is bypassing the transformation which I have created between InofSource and DataSource...
It is following that that transformation only for first DS.. and not for the second one. Whereas, we need have that transformation (transformation between InfoSource and InfoCube) common for all DS which are loading data through InfoSource.

Reason and Prerequisites
To determine whether you had BWA or SAPI DataSources, only SMOX3_GET_DATA was checked for, since up to now the usage of CRM_BWA_GET_DATA_WITH_ARC was unknown.
Solution
Import Support Package 04 of SAP_ABA 7.0, Support Package 14 of SAP_ABA 6.40 or Support Package 54 of SAP_ABA 6.20 or implement the specified advance correction.
When you implement the advance correction for SAP_ABA 6.20, bear in mind that Note 605469 is a prerequisite for this release.
After you implement this note, also implement Note 996352, so that the system will use the correct extractor.

Help for BI Content extraction from multiple datasources

Hello,
I am working on a new installation of BI having just come out of the BW310 and BW350 classes, so please be patient with me. :~) I only have a development instance running, and for my first project, I'm working on the Cross Application Time Sheet. I have the infocube set up for Time Sheet (OCATS_1), plus the other associated ICs (OCATS_C01, OCATS_C02, OCATS_MC1) and I am getting data from the appropriate datasources (0CA_TS, 0CA_TS_IS_1, 0CA_TS_IS_2).
The problem I am getting, is that the transformations from the datasource(s) into the DTP leaves out several fields which are found in the Employee datasource. How would I go about combining the information from the employee datasource into the Time Sheet infocubes along with the timesheet data?

Data from multiple data sources which are logically related and technicall have the same key can be combined into single record.
For example, if you have Sales order item and sales order item status .
These both have the same key - sales order and item and are logically related.
The Sales order item - provides information on Sales order item - material , price, quantity, plant etc.
The item status - povides information on delivery status, billing status, rejection status....
These are two different data sources 2LIS_!1_VAITM ad 2LIS_11_VASTI.
In case you have few master data attributes coming from different systems ie tow data sources in different systems say completely defines your master data. Then you could use a DSO or infoobject to combine the records.
If you want to see aggregated data you use a cube.
ie say you want to analyzae the customer revenue on a particular material and a particular project.
The project details would come from Project syatem and Sales details fom sales flow.
The data is then combined in the DSO with key cutomer and sales area say.
Then it is aggregated at cube level...by not using sales order in the cube model...so all sales order of the same customer would add while loading the cube.. to give direct customer spend values for your sales area at aggregated level.
