  • How do I sync my data from a windows phone to an iPhone 4 iOS 7.1.2

i need help syncing my data from a windows phone to a iPhone.

Assuming you have your Windows Phone data synced to Microsoft's Outlook.com, or even Gmail,
You can setup the Outlook.com or Gmail account in Settings->Email, Contacts, Calendars->Accounts->Add Account
And it will download all data from there. Email, contacts, etc..
Other than that, you will have to export all your data from the Windows phone, and then use iTunes to Sync whatever is relevant onto the iPhone.

Try providing some height for ScrollViewer ( scrollviewer would only work if its height is within the visible container & smaller then the content, so in your case, stack panel's height inside scrollViewer should be greater then it)

  • Voice and Data Vlan Routing for CUPC and IP Phones ?

The IP Phones are in 10.1.1.0/24 network (Voice Vlan 10) , Desktop Computers are installed with CUPC 8.5 and they are in 11.2.2.0/24 network (DATA VLAN 20) , Unfied Communication Applications like CUCM , Cisco Unified Presence Server, Contact Center Express are in 172.16.10.0/24 network(Vlan 30). When using Clients like Cisco Unified Personal Communicator, How the Communication between  CUPC(DATA Vlan)and IP Phones(VOICE Vlan) is possible?.How network should be configured or designed ? If i make intervlan routing it creates Security problems.what is the best practiced network Configs for these kind of Scenario ? Even if i prefer to configure Intervlan routing, Which all TCP/UDP ports are to be allowed / blocked between VLANS ??

    Hi Mohammed,
Hosts on separate vlans communicate with each other through routing, as they are not in the same broadcast domain. Some of the systems you mention use a wide range of ports and, depending on system and installed version, documentation is generally available.
    e.g
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/port/8_5_1/portlist851.html
    or
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cupc/8_5/english/release/notes/cupc85.html#wp39407
Be also aware that RTP communication uses extended ranges of ephemeral ports.

I have got TCP client code from microsoft website but its not working.later i came to know that its for windows8.
please provide the correct link for TCP client software download.

There is no way to know how to help you in this issue.  We have plenty of TCP code that works just fine, but you'll have to figure out how to send the packets in
a way that your PowerPC understands.

  • Verizon mades changes in the coding and now Windows Phone 7 is having data issues!!!

Starting about 3 weeks ago, I stopped receiving text messages and even worse stopped receiving calls yet alone my voicemails.  I have changed not one thing to my phone, everything is exactly the way it was before the issues arised.  Now I have to trick my phone to receive my data by dialing into my voicemail...  And then what do you know, 30 text mesages, 12 voicemails!!!
The voicemails wont even tell you the date or time stamp (the time the voicemail was received).  After numerous *228 and talking with level 2 over the holidays, I see a huge article on multiple news sites stating Verizon is having data issues...  Dropped calls, loss of data, no signal while all our phone keep showing full bars and 3g.  Verizon stated its only happening on there 4gLTE system and not 3G but thats a load of crap.
All one has to do is a google search of loss of text messages or voicemails on Verizon and you will see 100's up to 1000's of users like you and me all experiencing the same issues.  And not just with Windows Phone 7, but with there baby Driod and iPhone as well.
What really ****** me off is that Verizon loves to play the blame game or pass the buck game.  Hard Reset your phone and that will solve the problem...  Yeah Right.  If this was our OS and we updated a driver that changed the OS in the background I can see that being the solution.  But for the 100's or 1000's of users that go to work daily, check there emails and text daily, and haven't changed one thing on the phone... THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!
Now I read an articile for someone extermely close to Microsoft stating that Verizon turned down Nokia's new 4GLTE phone because they have no faith in the operating system and I have to think that maybe behind the scenes Verizon is trying to force us off Windows Phone 7 platform with data issue behind the scene and try to get us all into the Droid Platform which they make 50% of the cash off the phone just like the iPhone...
This is a joke, and I am really starting to think about going to ATT and getting the HTC Titan or the new Nokia 900.  I have already research a 3 party app that will allow you to backup and restore your phone.  And just read that Microsoft just put out an ad for backup, restore and cloud backup programmers for this latest feature.
Verizon the games need to stop, Verizon you need to stand behind this Platform, Verizon you need to provide better service for all us 3G users!!!

  • Windows Phone 8.1 Universal: VS 2013 deploys app to device but does not delete data file in roamingfolder and roaming is not activated.

I am using VS 2013 to develop a Windows Phone 8.1 Universal app.  When I deploy to the device (my phone), the old data file that I had stored in the roamingfolder previously continues to be used.  I have uninstalled the app after being deployed,
I put code in the app to delete the files individually from the roamingfolder and used ClearAsync(). That worked until I deployed the app again and then the old files came back.  I have not associated these apps with the store yet so roaming should
not be working. The desktop app does not have this problem, when I uninstall it the files are deleted.
In the phone app properties debug tab, I have the Uninstall and the reinstall my package checked for all configurations.  I have looked everywhere I can think of for these old files: laptop c:, phone tempfolder, localfolder, etc. thinking VS is reinstalling
them from somewhere when deploying the app but I cannot find them.  If I change the phone app to use the localfolder, the old files are not used.
Is this just the way it is if I use the roamingfolder or is there a way to delete these old files?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

    Hi MV12,
    >>When I deploy to the device (my phone), the old data file that I had stored in the roamingfolder previously continues to be used
Yes, it is designed to work like that, please refer to this document for details:
#Accessing app data with the Windows Runtime (Windows Runtime apps)
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/xaml/hh464917.aspx#roaming_app_data
Roaming data for an app is available in the cloud as long as it is accessed by the user from some device within the required time interval.
If the user does not run an app for longer than this time interval, its roaming data is removed from the cloud.
If a user uninstalls an app, its roaming data isn't automatically removed from the cloud, it's preserved. If the user reinstalls the app within the time interval, the roaming data is synchronized from the cloud. The current policy specifies
that this time interval is 30 days. Location is available via the roamingFolder property.
    >>Is this just the way it is if I use the roamingfolder or is there a way to delete these old files?
No, you will have to wait.

  • Simultaneous Voice and Data on Windows Phone (3G o...

    Hi guyz,
Does Windows Phone support simultaneous Voice and Data on all Nokia Devices?
Please experiment yourselves and have your say.
Don't forget to turn off your WiFi.
NB:- If you are on 2G or Edge network(Phone shows 'G' or 'E'), this is not possible. Please make sure you are operating on 3G network( Phone may show '3G', 'H' or 'H+') before testing it out.

As far as Windows Phone devices go, yes they do. Whether your carrier does is another matter obviously.

  • Application Insights is not recording any data from the released version of my Windows Phone app

I released my first Windows Phone app a week ago, and Application Insights worked perfectly to collect usage data whilst in a debug build. However, the released version of the app is not returning any data at all. Is this a common problem for new apps or
is there a problem that I need to address?
I configured Application Insights for my app using the information on this guide - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn509554.aspx
Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your help.

Hi Bernard, thanks for your reply.
I tested the data using a release package of the Windows Phone app deployed directly to my phone from Visual Studio and the data appeared after around 10 minutes. However, once I published the exact same package to the Windows Phone Store and started using
the version downloaded from the store, no usage data has been uploaded even after several days of waiting.
I am using SDK 0.7.1 and Application Insights Tools for Visual Studio v1.3.2. The app is built for WP 8.0 and running on WP 8.1.
    The instrumentation key is 757eeaff-605e-44a2-8eaa-6abf498bfcf5.
Thanks for your time and help, I really appreciate it.

  • This is for Verizon Customer Service: Is there an estimated date for the 8.1 Denim update for Windows Phones?

Will Cyan be rolled out for the Icon, or should we expect to wait until Denim is supposed to be rolled out around October
<< Moderation discussion removed to comply with Verizon Wireless Terms of Service >>  This is a very specific question and Verizon Customer Service can't answer it if they don't have a chance to read the question.
I spoke with Microsoft Customer service, and the agent specifically said MS already pushed Cyan to Verizon, and he, as a WP owner on Verizon, was also frustrated that the updates haven't been rolled out by VZW.
So bottom line question: Skipping Cyan? If so, what is the Denim date?
Message was edited by: Verizon Moderator

Unfortunately the answer is unknown.  The majority of the Windows phone threads here are about this exact subject, and that says a lot about Verizon and their ability to communicate on a basic level.  You might get your update, you may not.  Verizon is in control and doesn't really care.

  • How to start a loop back proxy in Windows Phone 8 and have all app and internet traffic routed via it

I want to develop a proxy in windows phone 8 that will handle all data traffic emanating from phone(i.e. browser and Apps). The following procedures were carried out
    a) Edited the Wifi settings http proxy and port to the loop back proxy running in the phone(i.e. 127.0.0.1) and the port in which we brought up the loop back proxy
    b) We browsed pages and no request landed on the loop back proxy in the phone
Loop back proxy in phone is built using StreamSocketListener
    Another observation is that:
If we edit Wifi settings http proxy and port to a http/https proxy running on server then when we browse pages from windows phone we are getting the requests to server. Why is this difference?
Is there a limitation to run http/https proxy on mobile phone as loop back proxy.
But there are apps in the market for windows phone that behaves as HTTP proxy like
    http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/smartproxy/75da629b-c0f3-4999-86a3-9559181d1299
Any help on the same would be appreciated

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply and we have used StreamSocketListener waiting on a port and ip is given as loopback. The same settings are done for Wifi access point but when we browse any page in IE the requests are not landing on to the loop back proxy.Any idea on
the same would be highly appreciated

  • Using my personal id in unlocked devloper windows phone will result to loss of my personal data ?

I was thinking to unlock my phone and use it to test my apps on my phone, but I don't have any other phone.
so I have only option to use my personal Hotmail id on my unlocked developer windows phone. But I am scared of losing my personal data.
So i want to ask if i use my personal id in my developer phone, my personal data like my contacts , my pics and videos and documents in onedrive will be effected ?

    Hi Sharad,
Someone moved your thread to the Tools for Windows Phone development forum but personally I don't think this could be the correct forum that you can get a sufficient suggestion.
I would suggest you to raise your question at:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/winphone
    Thanks for your understanding.
