Data Visibility on the reports

Hi,
Sometimes the data in the reports does not get displayed in WEBI. The grids are present and the charts based on data are plotted correctly but the data is not visible.
Any reason?

In addition to Joe's suggestons, have you tried to download the report to Excel? We had a situation recently just as you described, but after downloading to Excel the data was visible in Excel, but still remained invisible in WebI. What turned out to be the problem was a memory issue in that Java had ran out of memory to process the info on the screen, however, downloading it made it visible in Excel. The overall solution was to par down the report somewhat to accommodate the workstation memory issue.

I added a dataset to an existing report and broke an aggregation. In the old (i.e. single dataset) report, this expression below worked fine. I wanted to get a distinct count of the vst_ext_id field when my educated field was like "VTE1*"
= CountDistinct(IIF(Fields!educated.Value like "VTE1*", Fields!vst_ext_id.Value, Nothing))
After adding a new dataset, this no longer works and I get the error " A scope is required for all aggregates used outside of a data region unless the report contains exactly one dataset". Having done some research online, I found that I
needed to specify my dataset explicitly and I thought this new expression might work, but still no success...
= CountDistinct(IIF(Fields!educated.Value,"DataSet1" like "VTE12*", Fields!vst_ext_id.Value,"DataSet1", Nothing))
Am I missing something? Based on online responses, this explicit dataset naming convention seems to help most people, but it isn't working for me.

I found the answer. Apparently, my expression syntax was off. This expression does the trick...
= CountDistinct(IIF(Fields!educated.Value like "VTE12*", Fields!vst_ext_id.Value,Nothing),"DataSet1")
I just happened upon this particular syntax searching online. I was trying to specify the dataset name after each .value, but I never got that to work. This is the only time I have found this particular syntax online.

Lms 4.1 prime psirt/eox no data available in the report

I´m running LMS 4.1 Prime for Windows.
I tried an immediate report with PSIRT/EOX Report option: Cisco.com
The job succeeded, but without any data in the report

No data available in the report. The problem could be any one of the following:

2. PSIRT/EOX system job might not have run, or might have failed.
3. You might have entered the wrong cisco.com credentials.
Then I tried logging to Cisco.com (with the same user/password as configured in LMS) and download the PSIRT_EOX_OFFLINE.zip file.
I unzipped it and put it in the folder C:/PROGRA~1/CSCOpx/files/rme/jobs/inventory/reports/EOX_PSIRT/local_xml (please read \ instead of /, because it is wrong in the LMS display).
I set SIRT/EOX Report option: local
And again, the job succeeded, but without any data in the report (same message as before)
What do you think is happening? How could I debug the process?

Keyfigure display attribute not visible in the report

Hi,
I am facing a problem. I have keyfigures as display attributes in my master infoobject. Earlier I was able to see those display keyfigure attributes in my query and was able to use them in it. After that, few changes were done to the master infoobject (addition of few attributes and deletion of few - but none of them were what I was using). Now after the change, when I open the query in design mode, it gives me error saying that it can't access those attributes (only keyfigure display attributes) and repairs the query (removes those attributes). All the other attributes are visible.
I have already tried rsrv for the master infoobject (corrected the error) and rsrt for the query. After that also it doesn't solve the problem.
What could be the reason? Any pointers would be highly appreciated.

Hi,
Display keyfigure attributes are visible in the reports because I was using and running them in the reports before the change in that particular master infoobject. Only, keyfigures maintained as attributes can't be made navigational (hence can't be used for drilldown). Its only after the change, there is this error.
I had also checked the authorization for Keyfigure earlier, which I have. Therefore its not the problem.

How to know the User name and date, who executed the report last time.

We are collecting a list of reports which are not executed for past 3 months. Can anybody tell me how to know the username and date they executed the report last time.
Is there any table to look ? or is there any process ?

We look up Version = 13 for queries.

The error below makes absolutely no sense! I'm using Enterprise Core...yet I'm being told I can't use remote data sources:

According to your description, you are using Enterprise Core edition and you are prompted that you can’t use remote data sources.
In your scenario, we neither ignore your point nor be doubt with what you say. But actually we have met the case before that even though the SQL Server engine is Enterprise but the reporting services is still standard. So I would recommend you to find the
actual edition of reporting services you are using. You can find Reporting Services starting SKU in the Reporting Service logs ( default location: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\<instance name>\Reporting Services\LogFiles). For more information,

No data found in the report

Hi All,
When the user runs the report she is not able to get the variable selection screen for currency type in the report, so she is not able to see the data in the report. while all other users are able to get all the required variable selection screen and thus they are able to view the data in the report.
please help me out in this issue.

Lalitha,
Execute the report with user credentials and check if there is any authorization failure in T-code SU53. If every thing is fine its better to delete that assignment in the role and reassign the query to the user's role as we are not able to track what exactly is the issue. It might be an authorization issue on that object. Just check it....

How to schedule the webi report based on data changes in the report data

Hello,
I want to schedule a webi report based on data change in a column in the report.
The scenario is something like below:
1. If a data of a particular column changes from 2 to 3 than I would like to schedule this report and sent it to users mail box.
I know how to apply alerts or schedule a report or data tracking for capturing changes in the report but I dont know how to schedule the report only for data changes.
Anybody done this before.

Sending reports to various recipients using a data field on the report

Hi,
I am currently running Crystal Reports Server 2008 with SP 3 applied.
I was wondering if this was possible.
I have a report that I would like to be sent to an email address field on the table that the report runs from. Fields are something like this:
Amount Due, Invoice #, Client's email address, Date
What I would like CRS to do is send out emails depending on what's on the table. Obviously I would need the server to send out the report to a particular client with only the records that should be for them.
I, for some reason, thought there was an ability to add a field from the report on the email itself using brackets or some sort of variable but I'm not sure if this is true.
If anyone can help, I would appreciate it greatly.

You can use Publications for that. As far as I know this should be supported natively in CRS 2008 with SP3.

How to provide the data directly for the report using web service

Hi all,
I'm trying to execute a report from the webservice API (using BIP version 10.1.3.4) and want to provide the report with a pre-fetched data set. According to the Dev-Guide, I should use element /ReportRequest/reportData for this, but I can't find a proper example illustrating this use case. The problem is that I don't know how to enter my data set into the element. My data set is xml (text) while the data type of the reportData element is base64binary.
I've tried something like the following, but without any success:

 <ns1:row>
 <ns1:emp>
 <ns1:name>
 </ns1:emp>
 </ns1:row>
 </ns1:rowset>

...Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks for your answer, the situation is a little different from what you describe.
We make a call to BI Publisher via a Web Service (PublicReportService) via the ReportRequest operation.
The report we call contains a query to a database.
When we do not include XML in the reportData field then the report data is obtained from the Database and the report result is returned via the Web Service.

Data not displaying the report (Help me out Urgent)

Hi Folks,
When i am executing the query and web reports for the date 27/11/2007 & 28/11/2007 am not getting the data its saying "No applicable data found"
But i can see the data in the ODS for those dates.
Report is working fine till 26/11/2007.
But when the user is trying to check the reports for the above mentioned dates its not displaying.
Even in checked it the RSRT as well but the same case over there the data is not displaying.
Its bit urgent as its month end user wants to see the reports.
Any help or any clue will be great helpfull and appreciated.

There are totally 750 & 427 records on 27th and 28th.
At the time of executing the query,are using giving any variable entries?
Yes we are using variables entires like PO Date & PO number we usually check the reports giving the date in PO Date variable,

Section not visible in the report painter

Hi Gurus,
I created a report painter report for showing the P&L statement for a company code. I had to added a new section for calculating the statistical key figures. I was able to display the 2 sections initially, but later after changing some layout the keyfigures section is not visible anymore.
Please let me know how can I retrieve the Key figures section.

Yes, I am able to see the section in the edit mode and not when execute the report.
In the report layout "formatting / report layout" in the area "rows / treatment of zero rows" are the rows hidden if the value is zero?
The standard section layout has zero rows hidden. I tried changing it to print zero rows, but that didn't help.
Maybe you have a selection where you only have zero values in this section so it does not appear?
I was able to see the section in execute mode once, but then I tried to change the layout which caused me this problem. Please let me know if you have any other inputs.

Displaying date/time in the report of last updating data?

I have produced a report over a multiprovider. The multiprovider is built up from tow cubes. The data is being updated to one cube each hour and to the another cube one time daily.
The date/time that display in the report is for the last updating data of the cube that updating one time daily.
I want that the date\time be updated each hour, in another words, to display the date\time of last updating data to the second cube.
Any suggestions?

The field actually concatenation on string and Date
EX: Selected on 30.05.2007
I have declared this field has char (30).
This Date will be taking how ever the stored in the Data Base.

you can use default values in the properties of the date variable that will allow it to be the data yo uwant it to be
the 2nd date which is current use sap provided variable current data on it as restrickted value( Not default).
