Data within Apps lost

Synced my ipad and lost my dat, not sure how to recover??

Data within apps, like high scores, etc can be lost if you delete then reinstall an app. If you did not do this, the device must have had a glitch of some type. (who knows...)
The only thing that might work is to restore the device from a backup that was made prior to the loss of data.
What apps lost data? We may be more help if we know.

Now that I am on iCloud and provided I have the apps turned on within ICloud. Would all of the data within the apps and notes transfer to my iPhone 5??

For the listed apps (e.g. contacts, notes) these are synced to any device connected to the same icloud account and having that app turned on.
For other apps, like various third party text editors, that use icloud as a means to store their data files, syncing is dependent on how these apps are programmed.

Regarding your broken, previously authorized computer, here's how that works:
You would authorize your new computer -- maybe you've done that already. Then you will have two computers authorized. Apple allows you to have up to five computers authorized at any time. If you get to five, you can then go to your account details in iTunes and remove all authorizations.
Bear in mind this is not saying you can synch to more tham one library. Razmee209 and gdgmacguy's comments above are correct. But if Apple only allowed you to authorize one computer at a time, then having a broken computer would mean you could no longer use your Apple ID with iTunes.

Why don't you talk to apple and find out if backup exists? That conversation with apple will stop your guessing.

I suspect unless he had some items in iCloud backup then they are gone. Connecting an iPhone to a different library from that to which it was previously connected will result in the device asking if you want to erase it.

How do I reorder data within a Contacts card?

I want to reorder the data within individual Contacts cards, e.g., repositioning address A above address B. It ought to be as simple as highlighting a given line and pressing the keyboard's Up or Down arrows, but that doesn't work, and I can't find anything in Apple's documentation or support pages offering an alternative that does work. Performance - using JDBC call with 'order by' vs sorting data on app server

Hello! I need some valid thoughts on the performance of using a JDBC call versus processing information on the application server.
Here is the somewhat simplified scenario:
I need to retrieve customer information (name, e-mail, telephone), display it in HTML format and then be able to redisplay it in a different order. For example, initially the list would be displayed sorted by last name, but then a user might choose to sort it by e-mail address. Initial call to DB uses 'order by' in the SQL stmt to get me the initial ordering by last name. Results are stored in 2D array. However, when a user selects a different sort I have two options:
1) just make another call to the DB with a different order by clause. This means I need to create a DB connection, connect to DB, retrieve the results and read them from result set into a 2 dimensional array
2) re-sort data in the 2D array populated during the initial call. This means I need to use java.util.Arrays.sort(my_2D_resultsArray, my_custom_comparator)
Question is : which is more efficient? Number of entries retrieved can be anywhere from 0 to a few thousands (depending on other filters such as customer's country). My feeling is that option umber 2 is better, but I would like to get your opinion.

Good points! Thanks! I ran a test (see code below) and it takes less than a second to sort 2000 Strings and 2000 nulls. The only thing I ran the test at a UNIX prompt as oppose to from within app server (Weblogic). I expect the speed to be compatible though. Do you think that test was valid and tells us that sorting on the app server is probably faster than doing another SQL query?

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup, not good, then you can redownload some itunes purchases in some countries:

We have an application of apex, we need to input a lot of data from Excel type form to apex. We print the report/form in excel, and then we input them into the app application.
sometimes it is very time consuming for the end users of the app inputting data within the app itself, with either single row form or tabular form.
So, I often input data by myself by means of application express s*ql workshop, utilities/data workshop, copy/paste* , but the problem is that you should the know the underline table names for those input datas.
So it is not good if I let my end users input data directly by means of data workshop.
So, is it possible that I make a data workshop like stuff within my application, that my end users can upload data with it?

Do you have a current backup of the content of your iPod? If not restoring will remove Apps and their data. The Apps can be replaced at no charge but the data will be lost.
