Data1.cab file cannot be used

I was just given my daughters Ipod since she got a new one and am trying to load the software and get that the data1.cab file can not be used, it says it could be a network error, an error reading from the cd or a problem with this package, I than said to retry and got the same message, than said to ignore it and got internal error 2350 and than error1603
Can anyone tell me what to do.

let's try getting an itunes 7 installer log to the Apple engineers for a look.
1. Open a command prompt window. (Start menu -> Run. Type in "cmd". Hit return.)
2. Drag and drop iTunesSetup.exe onto the window so that the full pathname of the file is at the command line prompt.
3. Type in a space, then the following line:
/l*v C:\log.txt
4. Hit return.
5. The installer will create a log file:
C:\log.txt
Find that file and send it as an attachment to this email address.
in the email to Roy, be sure to include the following information:
- A link to the thread on Apple Discussions where the issue is being discussed
- The username you are using in the thread
- The version of iTunes you are using or trying to use
- the version of Windows you are using (mention service packs)
- A concise description of the issue you are seeing
- The exact text of the error message you are seeing

  • Data1.cab file not extracted when installing Acrobat X on windows under VMWare Fusion 4.0

When extracting the files to the installation folder, the Data1.cab file is created but it is o kb value. Then when running the setup file, there is an error generated because the setup cannot see a valid data1.cab file

    Manish_1988,
Thanks for the suggestion but after trying all of the suggestions, I still
    did not have any success.
I ended up extracting the install files while I was in Oracle Virtual Box
then used the install files when I was in VMWare Fusion. A bit convoluted
    but it worked.
    Again, thanks anyway.

"Data1.cab file is missing or corrupt.". I have tried to download the same from Sun's download centre as offline installation.

I have tried downloading it again and also used the installer which was successfully able to install on Windows XP.
Also, a few days back I was able to install jdk1.5.0.07 but then my system was attacked by some trojan and I had to format it. Since then I am unable to install it using the same exe.

  • CS2-installing error "data1.cab" file corrupt

I have recently reformatted my C drive and reinstalling programs.
I tried to reinstall my CS2 Photoshop, but received error message that the "data1.cab" file was corrupt or missing. Could not install program.
I don't know how to fix. Could someone please help?
    Thanks,
    mmspry

from a disc? try to copy the photoshop folder from the disc to the desktop, then run setup from there. however, you might have a bad drive or a bad disc. if the setup from the desktop fails, try installing on another machine. if it still fails, the disc probably has a problem. if that works, maybe your drive needs replacing.

  • Error 1311 - missing Data1.cab file

I have researched this problem and still need help because I think my problem is different. First off, here's what happened...
I purchased and legally own CS4 Master Collection. I had it installed on my desktop. I ended up uninstalling Adobe Acrobat 9 pro. A week after doing that I had to do a system restore to a restore point BEFORE I uninstalled it. So the program obviously showed up again but with the error. Because of the error I uninstalled CS4 completely, thinking I could reinstall it again. Well when I went to reinstall, it already said that Adobe Acrobat 9 was installed already so I wasn't able to select it again to reinstall. All of the other programs installed just fine. And then when I go to try repair Acrobat 9, it doesn't even show as being installed with the other CS4 collection. And when I double click to open it, it does open and when I go to repair it, it will open up an installation box saying it's going to install and then gives that error 1311 saying the Data1.cab file is missing. And it is missing.
So my question is, how do I uninstall it when there's no option to uninstall it. Or how do I get the needed Data1.cab back in place to see if it will indeed install properly?

Sorry about that, my desktop is running Windows Vista home edition.
I can uninstall every program through the add & remove programs feature except for Adobe Acrobat 9.0 pro. It doesn't show up as even being installed. Same with when I uninstalled and reinstalled it. It didn't give me the option to select it for installation.
Ok, I'm just uninstalling the programs again and will run the cleaner tool. Fingers crossed that it removes it!

  • Can I delete Data1.cab files?

I am doing some file maintenance and I notice that I have 3 Data1.cab files in different folders.
    C:\program files\adobe\acrobat\setup files\acropro\efg
    C:\program files\adobe\acrobat\setup files\acropro\efg_
    C:\program files\adobe\acrobat\setup files\acropro\enu
The files are quite large, one over 440 mb. Can I delete all or any of these? Once I'm installed and running do I need them?
    Thanks.
    Nathan

That would be a bad thing. You probably wouldn't be able to uninstall
    or repair Acrobat.

  • Data1.cab file too large in Default User folder...

We are experiencing an issue on our project where a file (Data1.cab) is created within the
Reader 9.1 and Reader 9.3 folders of the ...Default User\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe folder location.
These files are too large for our system and taking up unnecessary amounts of space on our hard drives (averaging 104 MB in size each). Every time a new user logs onto the system, their profile is created and these 104 mb Data1.cab files are created. We want to know how we can:
    a) automatically off-load these files to another location
    or
    b) change a setting that would not generate the Data1.cab files every time a new profile is created or at least reduce the size of the file significantly upon creation.
Any advice on the matter would be much appreciated.
    thanks,
    - Brian

Thank you for posting your insight on the matter.  However, we are looking to be a little bit more pro-active on the matter.  Is there a setting or an entry in the registry we can apply that stops the files from being created?  Or a sample batch file you've created to automatically delete the files upon creation?  Please respond at your leisure.
    thanks,
    - Brian

  • Can I reduce the size of my Data1.cab file?

I have a Data1.cab file that is 1.275G for Acrobat 9.0.  This seems very large to me.  Is there any way I can reduce the size of this file?

Why do you care what size the installer is. When finished with your installation you can and should burn it to a DVD for safe keeping. You don't need to keep the installer on your hard drive.

  • OverDrive Media files cannot be used on iPods or Mac computers

Our local library at "'librariesonthego.library.on.ca" offers audiobooks on loan. Regretfully it seems I can't use my iMAC G5 and iPod nano to download & play the audiobooks because the audiobooks use DRM technology from Microsoft which is not compatible with iPods or OS-X. In order to take advantage I must use a PC and I will need to purchase another mobile player device.
The library has posted the following notice:
"+At this time, OverDrive Media files cannot be used on iPods or Mac computers.+
+Our media titles, provided by OverDrive, Inc., use DRM (Digital Rights Management) protection technology from Microsoft Corporation. Unfortunately the iPod (and Mac) currently support neither DRM-protected Windows Media Audio (.wma) files nor Windows Media Video (.wmv) files.+
+OverDrive, along with hundreds of online media providers, is hopeful that Apple and Microsoft can reach an agreement that would enable support for Microsoft-based DRM-protected materials on the iPod/Mac."+
Apple is usually on the forefront of such digital media developments and, it can be argued, it's work in this area is the reason for it's current success. Accordingly it seems a shame that
Am I missing some obvious point or is Apple actually an unwitting barrier to greater and more prevalent uses of it's own hardware and services?
What do others think of this?
    vschaick

Even though Overdrive now has MP3 audio books, you still can't download from the public library (or any library) with your Mac because the MP3 books still require Overdrive Media Console, which runs only on Windows. Overdrive claims that they will be releasing a Mac version of the Media Console sometime this year. I'll believe it when I can run it.

  • Tag files cannot be used in tag files?

    Hello,
Is it possible to invoke tag file from other tag file in the project? Is it allowed by spec?
    1. Create empty project with JDeveloper.
    2. Create tag file tagFile1.tag using wizard.
    3. Create tag file tagFile2.tag using wizard.
    4. Drag TagFile2 tag from toolbar to tagFile1.tag in editor pane.
    tagFile1.tag is:
    <%@ taglib tagdir="/WEB-INF/tags/" prefix="tags"%>
    <%@ tag pageEncoding="UTF-8"%>
    <tags:tagFile2/>
    tagFile2.tag is:

Error(3): Unable to find class for bean: null defined by tag with class: oracle.jsp._tag._tagFile2_tag
Is it a bug of JDeveloper or OC4J or am I duing something against the spec?

Was this issue resolved? I have getting the same error message with my custom JSP tags. It worked when I use JDev 9.0.5 but not when I moved it over to JDev 10.1.3.1

  • JRE - Error 1330 (Invalid digital signature in data1.cab)installing1.6.0_13

I cannot install jre6 update 13. All attempts from using full offline download result in the following error message:
"Error 1330. A file that is required cannot be installed because the cabinet file C:........\Java\jre1.6.0_13\Data.cab has an invalid digital signature. This may indicate the file is corrupt."
It looks like there is a problem with the 1.6.0_13 consumer JRE offline installer once it was digitally signed. Is it possible the digital signature of the Data1.cab file was corrupted during extraction. I am wondering if Sun needs to rebundle this offline package again.
I have disabled virus checking, and whatever else I could think of!
    System is Windows XP SP3.
Has anyone else experienced this problem, or have any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Paul

    Afternoon,
I have had this error on a hand full of WXP SP3 workstations running 1.6 update 16. I am not a smart person, but I do know how to search. I found a fix a tried on a similiar error.
On one of my problem children I did the following.
As Admin verify rpc service is started.
    from a CMD prompt
    regsvr32 softpub.dll
    regsvr32 wintrust.dll
    regsvr32 initpki.dll
    regsvr32 dssenh.dll
    regsvr32 rsaenh.dll
    regsvr32 gpkcsp.dll
    regsvr32 slbcsp.dll
    regsvr32 cryptdlg.dll
I believe the initpki.dll took a few to respond. After that I restarted and tried the install on the problem child again. Success. Since then I have been going back to my other problem children. I try the install without the fix and have not had a issue, YET, installing update 16. It's PFM.

  • Creative Suite 2 Standard - Disc 1 Problem (data1.cab)

My data1.cab file from my CS2 Disc 1 (Photoshop) disk is corrupt or unreadable or something. I can't install photoshop from my CS2.
I called Adobe support and they said they don't issue discs of discontinued products.
Is there any way for me to replace that disc, or even just that file? I tried using a data1.cab from a different photoshop installation, but that messed with the licensing and I still couldn't run the program. Could someone with this suite upload just that one file? Or make an image of the first disc?
I own this license, it seems silly that I can't use the product because a disc got scratched. The money doesn't go to the discs, it goes to the license.
    Thanks for your help!

Can you try copying the content of the DVD/ CD to the desktop and try to install it.
