Hello,
I have trouble getting oracle 9.2 installed on my Linux machine. The database assistand failes to launch during installation. This is the debug output:

furthermore cat /proc/sys/kernel/shmmax reports 2147483648
Can anyone tell me what to do, please?

It’s version 13.1.1 It’s a trial version.
I am updating it from the Creative cloud desktop application.
I have the photography subscription with Lightroom and Photoshop with Creative Cloud.
I was interested in trying out the video software and have trials of Premiere Pro as well as others. The CC desktop app alerted me to the AF update just as it does for the others I subscribe to plus the ones I am using as trials. I have not had any problems with the other apps (trial or not), only with AF.

0x80070643 is a general error here so it is hard for us to troubleshoot. Please try download the ISO format of Visual Studio 2015 Community so that you can use the fciv.exe tool to verify the hash value. All info are listed on the VS2015 download page:

After effects Error installing : Installation failed Errors encountered during installation.(34)

Hi guys i am having an issue with CreativeCloud.
I am on PC
Everytime i try to install After Effect trial on CreativeCloud it keeps saying this error message : "Installation failed Errors encountered during installation.(34)" and i've tried alot of times and always the same error message. I also tryed using CreativeCloud cleaner tool but that didnt help at all.
So if anyone can help please do it quickly and reply. ASAP !!!

the installion location is the default installion path - C:\Program Files\Update Services
the content folder was directed to a diffrent volume - e:\wsus\
i tried to delete everything that connected to iis and wsus and re install and now i am getting:

Crystal Reports 12 merge module fails ICE validation during installation

I am using the CR 2008 merge module that I downloaded from this site, and am using MSI Factory 2.0 to install my product. The ICE validation fails during the build with the following errors.
C:\v9.wxs(6680) : warning LGHT1056 : The Directory table contains a row with primary key(s) 'INSTALLDIR' which cannot be merged from the merge module 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\Merge Modules\CRRuntime_12_0.msm'. This is likely due to collision of rows with the same primary key(s) (but other different values in other columns) between the database and the merge module.

Any ideas what this means?

Hi Falk, thanks for your interest.
Yes, I can build the setup, but I need to have zero ICE validation warnings in order to pass the Vista Certification process. It seems to me that the default merge module for CR2008 has been put together in a way that fails best practice - eg. ICE validation.
The merge module is simply added to a feature within the installer product, and if I turn on the switch to "Ignore ICE warnings", then the build works OK and I can install the product no problems. However if I turn off the "Ignore ICE warnings", then the build fails and stops dead.
The snippet I posted here was from the log file.

Error in Creating the Oracle Fail Safe Group during installation on MSCS

Hi All,
I am installing ECC 6 dual stack on MSCS.
I have done steps till CI installation as per installation guide.
I am gettig the following error in the step "Creating the Oracle fail safe group" while changing physical hostname into the virtual databse hostname using configtool in secure store parameter jdbc/pool/<SAPSID>Url as per the installation guide.
"Error occurred while working with configuration(scanning)
MSG:Error while connecting to the database"
I think it is not accepting the virtual hostname.
In our scenario CI is running CI node and DB instance is running on DB node.
I have followed the steps as per the installation guide.
Please let me know how to resolve this issue.
Database - Oracle 10g,OS is Windows server 2008 enterprse edition.

1) did you stop the CI before making the modifications as stated in the installation guide?
     Yes
2) is your database currently running on the same physical cluster node as your CI?
    No.Database instance is running on DB node and CI is on CI node.
3) is your database online?
     Yes,it is up and running
Please let me know if there is anyway to resolve this issue.

I am attempting to install ias Enterprise Edition (6.0 SP3) on solaris 2.8 using typical in basesetup. I am trying to install new Directory server as I don't have an existing one.
During the installation I got the following error.

Hi,
Make sure that the directory server is installed first. If it is running
ok, then you can try adding an admin user, please check the following

DPM 2012 R2 unable to connect to Database after failed Update Rollup 4 Installation

We have a DPM 2012 R2 Server with SQL Server 2012 installed locally.
We tried to install Rollup 4 for DPM 2012 R2 (KB3009516) using Windows Update
and it failed with error code 0x80070643. Now when we open the DPM Console
it is totally empty (no Protection Groups, Servers, Disks, just like a fresh install).
In the eventlog we get a lot of Errors and warnings:
Event 941 (MSDPM)
Unable to connect to the DPM database. Make sure that SQL Server is running and that it is configured correctly.
Cannot open database "DPMDB" requested by the login. The login failed.
Event 4209 (MSDPM)
The description for Event ID 4209 from source MSDPM cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
DPM Writer encountered an internal error. Please restart the DPM Writer service, and then try the backup operation again. For additional troubleshooting information, review the application event log and the DPM Troubleshooting Guide.
Event 107 (Report Server Windows Service (MSSQLSERVER)
Report Server Windows Service (MSSQLSERVER) cannot connect to the report server database.
Event 274 (SQLISService110)
Microsoft SSIS Service:
Registry setting specifying configuration file does not exist.
Attempting to load default config file.
Then there are some Errors/warnings from SQLSERVERAGENT about failed scheduled Jobs.
I think the failed Installation changed some database Settings, so that now the DPM Console
cant access the database anymore.
I would be happy if someone can help me getting this Server working again!

Our biggest problem is, that the DPM is not working any more. So there is no chance to backup the SQL Server via DPM.
I think the main problem is that DPM have no access to the database. Every time I start the DPM Application, I get an error "verify that the DPM service is running on this computer". In the eventlog are many errors that the msdpm service was unable
to connect to DPM Database. Another "information" is that the user 'nt authority\system' failed to open the database of dpm.
We've tried to reinstall the DPM but its still the same problem. I suppose that is a corrupt database.
Tomorrow I try to restore the database and hope it will be the solution of our problem.

Lightroom CC Crashes/Fails to Launch after Installation

Yesterday, I downloaded and installed Lightroom CC. Launching the program produced an immediate crash with no error message. I tried the fixes posted elsewhere on this forum without success. Subsequently, I contacted Adobe Support via Live Chat. The following steps took care of the problem and LR CC now opens correctly.
Logout of Adobe CC.
Open Finder, choose Go > Go To Folder.
Paste the following folder destination into the Go To box: /Library/Application support/Adobe.
Hit return to open the Adobe library folder.
Locate the SLStore folder and rename it to SLStoreold.
Locate SLCache folder and rename to SLCacheold.
Rename SLCacheold to SLCache.
Double-click on the SLCache folder and delete all files found in the folder.
Go to your Applications folder and re-launch Lightroom CC.
Sign on to Adobe CC.
If everything goes as expected, you should see the Lightroom CC splash screen followed by a message saying, "Catalog upgrade in progress." You may also see a Keychain prompt: "Adobe LR wants to use your confidential information stored in [long-file-name] in your keychain." Select Allow or Always Allow (if you don't want to be bugged again.)
Once Lighroom CC is open, look for your name plate at the top left corner of the LR window. If you haven't already signed-in to Adobe CC you may be prompted to sign-on by LR.

when i am installing RCU i am getting RCU-6002 "specified database doennot meet minimum requirement to load repository" and RCU-6080 "Global pre-requisit check failed" error. What are these minimum requirement according to 6002 error?. I am using Oracle database 11.1.0.6.0 on window7. I tried setting character set to ALUTF8 but i am getting error "specify a superset of existing character set". I tried ignoring the error but it still stops on third option "check requirement for existing database." Is there any version problem?. Please suggest

my install failed after I was unsuccessful in updating AI and PS through CC. Atfer researching, I read that uninstalling then re-installing would be a fix. Now I cannot get AI to reinstall. Any suggestions?

did that with the log and found the errors: ERROR: Failed to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86). Please try installing it.... I tried that and an error from that stated a newer version was all ready installed. So I uninstalled what I had and installed straignt from Microsoft as stated in the error instructions. Open CC back up and again 42% and failed with same message. ??

Just moved from the master collection to the creative cloud. I have several problems with software not installing but I shall itemise them separately in case the errors are different.
The muse error is as per the discussion title. Clicking on more information presents a blank browser window. Has anyone had a similar experience. Please advise.
