Database Control tool is not working on XP

Hi folks.
My DB Control all over sudden stopped working. I followed link OracleDBConsole doesn't start
and it helped me before. This time it didn't.
When i ran: emca -config dbcontrol db -repos create ,
In log file I found next:
oracle.sysman.emcp.exception.FileUtilException: Copying file c:\u01\db_1\192.168.11.7_ocp11g\sysman\emd\agntstmp.txt to c:\u01\db_1\sysman\emd\agntstmp.txt.ocp11g
When i went to check what is this file and why it could not be copied, it turned out that access denied to this file when i try to copy it. Even though I am a member of local Admins.
In properties for this file I found next: This file is encrypted and can be accessed by certificate which I can not remove. Any thoughts?
My laptop is not part of domain.

Did you check if your db control still running ?
emctl status dbconsole
When you do reconfigure you need to deconfigure first
emca -deconfig dbcontrol db -repos drop
emca -config dbcontrol db -repos create

I have the same issue, I am not sure which version so I had on my old computer but when I got a new windows 7 64bit, and asked IT to install Adobe, my life turned upside down. now they asked if I need X or 9pro and I though 9pro is the latest and greatest.. they installed the standard first then could not edit then asked for the pro and could not edit ... now I search and maybe version X will edit but if the document is signed and we do need to do lots of editing after the signature then what is the solution??
I hope the Guru in Adobe can help here soon please :-)!!

Try trashing apple.com.dashboard.plist from preference library and restarting Mac.
Quit all applications.
Open Finder- Click the left most icon on the Dock.
Holding option key click the Go menu from the menu bar.
Select Library and then Preference folder.
Select apple.com.dashboard.plist and move it to trash.
Restart Mac.

Control-clicking does not work in Finder

Ever since installing the 10.4.5 update, control-clicking does not work in Finder. When I try to do it, Finder automatically restarts itself. This happens in any Finder window and on the desktop itself. Whether I am control-clicking an Application icon or trying to 'Get Info' on a file, Finder restarts itself. I repaired permissions and it did not fix the problem.
Any idea on how to fix this? Thanks a lot!

Edit: Nevermind. I fixed it by deleting the JIMZip.plugin file in my Contexual Menu folder. I found the answer in another thread. I apologize for searching after I created this thread.

Can you identify any corrupted or incompatible files in either your Macintosh HD/Library/Contextual Menu Items folder, or your Macintosh HD/Users/yourhomefolder/Library/Contextual Menu Items folder?
If so you may be able to uninstall/reinstall the associated application.
You may also consider temporary manual removal and isolation of the suspect file to verify CM functionality.

Also, install the latest version 4.4.1 would probably be a good idea.

Af:tree control expand is not working

We sincerely apologize for the problem customers are facing while using a trackpad with Photoshop Elements 11 & 12 on Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite).
We have been actively working with Apple to resolve this problem as quickly as possible. We're hopeful this will get completely resolved in an upcoming update of Yosemite(MAC 10.10).
In the meanwhile, you have two options to work around this problem:
1. Option1: Use a mouse instead of the trackpad
2. Option2: Install a plug-in which should workaround the problem
Plug-in installation instructions:
1. Close Photoshop Elements
2. Download this zip file to a location you can easily find (e.g. your desktop)
3. Unzip the file, WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin, and move it to the Plug-In folder:
• For Elements 12 – //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 12/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
• For Elements 11 - //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 11/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
You can verify the plug-in is installed by launching the Photoshop Elements Editor and choosing Help > System Info... Scroll to the bottom of the text in the dialog and look for the plug-in name "WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin".
Note: This plugin is a temporary workaround and should be used until this issue is addressed in Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite). Please remove this plugin once the issue is officially resolved by Apple.
If you are using a stylus in conjunction with a trackpad, you might see issues with your trackpad. Workaround in this particular case is to use mouse instead of the trackpad.

This is a user to user Forum, so you are not really addressing Adobe here, even though some Adobe employees thankfully have been dropping by.

Concluding something does not work because you fail at using it is not necessarily always justified.
The Quick Selection Tool certainly has limitations, but your post seems to be more about venting than trouble-shooting – otherwise you might have posted an image where you failed to get an expected result.

Also, do you have any Selections active - maybe hidden?
When you have your Layer Mask's Channel active, do your Colors change to black and white?

Maybe on the wrong layer.
It would be more beneficial if you capture your screen with the layers panel open and any layers that are collapsed, expand them.

My move tool is not working

Seletiion tool is not working

The selection tool is not working having proplems xxx@

Then it would seem that this moderator doesn’t know his arse from his elbow.
There may be various reasons for a selection tool not working. I suggested two possible causes and two possible ways out.
But no-one knows what is wrong yet and I object to having a line of enquiry cut short by being marked as answered when it’s not.I prefer to get to the bottom of things.
So, Mister Moderator, if you see this, will you kindly refrain from making assumptions and mark this question as Unanswered!
