Also When i log in the Teradata assistant client 14 with the ODBC i have, it connects properly ,
Also could you please tell me if i have to configure the User DSN or System DSN

Hello,
I have a annoying issue with using an excel 2010 file as a data source for a universe. Here is the background information.
Setup.
Client: Laptop running Win XP 32bit, Client tools installed with SP2 v9 (latest)
Server: Win 2008 x64, BOE 4.0 SP2 v9 (latest)
Task:
1. On Client, with information design tool, created Project, DB Connection, Data foundation using an excel source on a share
server\share\data.xlsx
2.. Published everything to Repository
3. Try to load univerise in Web Intelligence via creating a new report. I Drag accross the dimensions. When i go to preview data recieve error
Database error: [Microsoft][ODBC Excel Driver] External table is not in the expected format.. (IES 10901) (WIS 10901)
4. If i change the excel file to a 2003 format *.xls it all works correctly. Issue being that 2003 cannot hold as much data as a 2010 file so i need to use 2010.
Extra Notes:
1. Both the client and server have the latest Access drivers http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=13255
2. Both client and server have a system DSN setup using the 32bit ODBC, same DSN names to the network share.
3. The data excel source sits on the server on a share.
4. I am believing that the isssue is within the area of BOE as when you connect to the excel file via ODBC using crystal 2011, you need to right click on the connection and tick "System Tables" to be able to use the excel 2010 file. The BOE Information design tool does not seem to have this option??
Any advice with this would be great?

Issue Resolved:
Install
Access Database Engine 2010 Service Pack 1 on the server

Reboot server once completed.

You need to create ODBC for SQL server.Check your BO server is able to connect SQL Server.

I am trying to use the DIgilent Spartan 3E board with Labvew 2012 SP1 32 bit. I am able to compile the example code for LED shift. I am however unable to transfer code to the FPGA. I get the following error message:
Error Code: -310602
NI-COBS: Unable to communicate with device over communication cable.
Please verify that the cable is connected to a supported device and that the appropriate drivers are installed.
My system configuration is as follows:
Windows 7 (64 bit) on Dell XPS laptop.
Labview 2012 SP1 (32 bit)
Labview FPGA 2012 SP1
Labview 2012 FPGA support for Spartan3E
Xilinx 13.4 tools
DEFB LV FPGA 2012sp1 support installer
Xilinx USB cable driver v1.3 installed.
I took all the precautions mentioned by others on this forum and others, mainly that the cable must be disconnected before installing the Xilinx cable driver. All software and drivers were installed correctly. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the entire Labview software set I had. I still get the same error.
A few other questions:
1. Is the Xilinx cable different from a regular USB cable of the same configuration ?
2. When I program the FPGA I only have the USB cable connected between my computer and the Spartan 3e board. Should any other cable be connected ?
3. What should be the correct jumper settings for J1 - JP30 (especially J30, J11, JP9, JP6, JP7, etc) ?
I have been at this or over 3 days trying to figure it out. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to create a Webi report based on an OLAP Universe. I am using BI 4.1 SP01
I did the following:
1. I have setup a databse connection for SAP SSM via the create connection wizard in the Universe Design Tool. My connection is created sucessfully.
2. Next I created a Universe saved it and exported it.
3. In webi I am trying to create a report, I selected a couple of measures in the "results objects" section. In the qurey filters section I selected month.
When I run this query, I am getting an error message: Database error: Failed to execute MDX query. Reason: returned server error (). (IES 10901) (WIS 10901).
I tried to search for similar issues reported on SCN forums and other places and it looks like a generic error and this was not answered in some of the discussions
Any help is very much appricated.

I have verified in BEx query properties, it's "allow External Access to this Query" is checked.
I have filter in BEx query, so not need to had it to query selection again in webi report.
Could any other solution??

Error 550 5.7.1 unable to relay with SMTP PORT 25 Exchange 2013

I know this issue has been posted for a while, but still can't resolved issue. We've new Exchange 2013 SP1 (CU4) installation, everything is working properly, the OWA, Exchange Client Connection, SMTP/POP with SSL, except with SMTP Using Port 25 Non-Encrypted
Connection.
If I'm using the SMTP Port 25 without TICK "My Outgoing Server (SMTP) Requires authentication", I've got the error: "550 5.7.1 Unable to relay", but if I TICK the option above, my message will be deliver without any error, how do i get
rid this problem, I need to UN-TICK the option above for the time being, since we've hundreds email account, I want to avoid to educate and tell the user and even remote their PC, just to configure this issue, it will drive me crazy, we're going to use the
Exchange Client Connection in the future, If everything is smooth and ok.
I research this problem on the Internet and of course with TECHNET, but still can't, anyone can help me on this?
fyi, I tried so many things, delete the default the Default Front End Transport for Port 25, it also not fix my issue.

I think your default receive connector should be missing out some permissions.
Also try to see if you get any message on protocol logs and paste them too

When trying to send email to external clients from outlook with (POP accopunts)with authoritative domain email address. we are receiving "Server error: '550 5.7.1 Unable to relay"Where internal emails are going properly.It use to work early &
it stopped suddenly yesterday we did not made any changes in SMTP.
We are able to send & Receive emails with our own domain facing problem only with authoritative domain email address.

I have a problem. When i want to import music file from standart Gallery, i see the mistake: unable to decode and import the selected wav - mp3 file.
I can't import mp3,wav files...

But in my Adobe Captivate 4 directory i don't have file regsvr32 NSAudio.dll.

As I recall there were two different "fixes" for audio with Captivate 4. One involved replacing the dll and another had something to do with installation problems on Windows XP. So give the link below a try.

Universal Printer Driver unable to communicate with LaserJet P1606dn

Having UPD PCL5 installed on Windows Server 2003 which surprisingly works with Samsung printer (able to print) but strangefully unable to communicate with HP LasetJet P1606dn

Hello,
I see that you are having issues setting up the printer over the wireless network. I will certainly do my best to help you.
The password might not be recognized by the printer, if there are spaces or special characters in it.
Restore the printer defaults. Press the OK button, select Network Config, then select Restore Defaults.
Print a configuration page to make sure the SSID and the IPv4 address are cleared.
Printing a Configuration Report.
Run the printer software again and select Add a Device to setup the wireless again.
If you are having issues, then uninstall and reinstall the software to configure the wireless.
Uninstalling the Printer Software.

Hi all,
We have an OLAP universe basically built on BW query and we are creating a web intelligence report on it. We added a new field to the cube "Date Changed" the infoobject used is delivered 0CPR_CHON which has 0DATE as ref. characteristic.
When we used this dimension in webi it came over as characteristic rather than date so we went to the universe and changed the properties to Date and we have started getting this error. I looked up and there are some notes and posts on this and apparently it is not supported by SAP.
Has anyone found a workaround? Another thing I am confused is ...in the same cube we have Valid From and valid to dates and those dimensions come over as dates in webi..so what is different between the two?
If I create a new universe on this same connection (query) then it does come over as date so how can we make it working on old universe?

Hi Henry,
0CPR_CHON is attribute of changed version but how would that matter....it is used as standalone infooobject in the cube and that is the reason it coming over as dimension by default but the type is coming over as Char...instead of Date.
I am making that to date and getting that error. It works if I build the universe all over again (brand new).
These are some of the notes: 1457821,1184983, 1432272, 1384547, 1407631, 1466213.

External Hard Drive unable to search with Spotlight

I have an external hard drive that is connected to a mac running 10.5.8, and is availble as a shared drive to all in the dept.
Until recently, we could perform Spotlight searches to find specific files, but that ability has ceased to work.
I have tried re-indexing (using the spotlight privacy dodge). I have rebooted the sytem, repaired permissions on the host computer, checked the hard drive with disk utility. All to no avail.
Please can someone suggest a possible solution to this problem.
The macs accessing the drive conatin a variety OS from 10.5 to 10.7, and none seem able to search for the files.

then the message still popped up. So I did the following:
1. making sure the name i give my hard drive doesn't have space in it (it probably didn't matter but i was ready to do anything to make it work!)
2. empty my trash (the one on the computer, that is...)
3. make sure that any previous files from the drive isn't open
then it worked! i hope it works for you too.

Running Query Database error

I am creating a new Web intelligence document. When I run the queries, after a while I get the following message:
"Running Query
A database error occured. The database error text is: ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified
. (WIS 10901)"
Any ideas what this error means and how to resolve?

The message means that the oracle network layer tried to resolve the connection parameters given and failed.
When you use infoview in the browser, the problem is on the physical server where the connection server runs.
Ask the persons responsible to check the oracle client installation there and try to get a connection to that oracle database.
It can be anywhere in the oracle names administration. The most common error is an incomplete tnsnames.ora file.

SAP BW Bex Queries as Data source WIS 10901 Error while refreshing

I have created a Web Intelligence report based on Universe upon SAP BEx queries.
When I refresh the report, I get the following error:
A database error occured. The database error text is: the supplied XML is not valid. [Measures].[4ASYKV5XU5T].(WIS 10901)
Report was fine for a day. I started showing error from today.
This is my first report and Universe based on SAP BEx queries. I do not have knowledge of SAP system as well.
Please help.

It is because that Measure object definition changed @BEx. Measures.4ASYKV5XU5T
Can you check @BEx query for any latest changes??
OR
Go to Universe Designer:
1. Open Universe
2. View == Refresh Structure
3. Can you see any updates now?? OK
4. Save Universe
5. Export it
Now open the Report. It will work now, if all Objects are there at Bex query & Universe level.
Along with this Do integrity check @Universe also before exporting.
