Database Leasing V/s Non data base consensus leasing

Question

We are planning to use Whole Server Migration for a HA weblogic cluster. Our environment has a Highly available database. Do we need to use Database leasing or In-Memory consensus leasing. We are ok to have node manager control server instances and have it installed in all machines hosting server instance. What are the pros and cons of both the approaches especially from a performance point of view.

HA Database:
Leasing introduces another moving part into your architecture (unless the DB was already needed for another part of your WLS env).
If the DB is unreachable, the servers that are unable to reach it will shutdown.
It may be slightly more easy to troubleshoot as you can look at the DB table entries easily.
There is probably some latency involved as the periodic checks from the owner server and other managed servers varies somewhere from 30-60secs. I do not know exactly, but you'd have to ask support if you need to know the exact timing specifics or observe it with the debug flags.
Consensus:
Requires the use of Node Manager on every machine/server in the cluster.
The timing may be exactly the same as in DB leasing, enabling debug flags would tell you that for sure.
