Hi bestrongself,
According to your message, we need to find this rule in the console for troubleshooting this issue. Firstly, we search the display name of the rule/monitor/discovery, then paste the display name in the search window, click ”View Knowledge” to bring up the
rule properties. From here , you can view the data source, and get a better idea of what the rule/monitor/discovery does, and how to troubleshoot it. For more information, see:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/kevinholman/archive/2009/04/17/how-to-find-a-specific-rule-monitor-discovery-in-the-console-when-all-you-have-a-more-cryptic-id-in-an-alert.aspx
The rule can generate alerts whenever an error occurs in the Application event log or the System event log on any server being monitored by Operation Manager, for more information, see:
Operations Manager Alerts for Event Log Errors
Hope it can help you.

  • The CMS system database is not available (FWM 02088)

    Hi all,
After installation of BOE 3.1 the system fires back the error message on attempt to logon to CMS:
Account Information Not Recognized: The CMS system database is not available. This error cannot be rectified by the end user. Report this error to your system administrator or database administrator. (FWM 02088)
Any inputs? I've tried with new SIA as well as fresh installation but the issue persists.
    Regards.

were you able to see any DB error messages in event log ?
can you connect to your DB from the server itself ? (could be FW issue)
What do you see under the CCM ? Do the SIA is in green state ?
For me it is probably one of 2 things : FW issue (but install will have failed) or DB issue
    Sam.

    Hi,
I think it is essential to set the official ip and the correct hostname in the /etc/hosts file.
Per default there is the loopback IP bound to the hostname and localhost, you should change this to the desired IP.
it should be something like this:
    127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
    ::1 localhost6.localdomain6 localhost6
    192.168.1.1 yourhost.yourdomain yourhost
Otherwise you will face some other nasty side-effects, with nfs for example.
    Hope that helps
    Michael

    Hi,
We are moving the CI to the different server keeping the database on the same server, it is dual stack BI system, SCS instalaltion went fine, for the CI installation, we got to the error while bringing up the CI , it is not able to connect to the database
    startsap r3
    Checking BXT Database
Database is not available via R3trans
Database BXT must be started first
    But
    R3trans -d
    This is R3trans version 6.14 (release 701 - 26.01.09 - 12:46:00).
    unicode enabled version
    R3trans finished (0000).
The trans.log doesn't give any error
The listener is up on the database and listening to the port as the R3trans -d went through.
Please let me know if there is anything can be done, i am banging my head for a week now, I have tried the profile parameters and resetting the db users passwords also.

    Hi,
    Thanks all for replying,
The Dev logs are not generated as of now, so can't paste them,
Copied the lastest version of kernel, but it didn't work.
Put the tnsname and schema profile, dbms\type was already there, But it didn't work too.
    Any other suggestions

My Reponse from My Question :
It was so easy to run 'lsnrctl start'.

I've executed an pre-compiled example 'login.exe' which display --> 'No Listen Module'.

I installed "Oracle Database 10g Express Edition".
After install I tried to "Go To Database Home Page" and received a "Page not found" error.
If I run SQLPLUS and ...:

And I can not find any control files on my PC.
    Can I create one?

Yes. This is correct. There is no control file. In fact, there is nothing in C:\OracleXE\oradata\XE. It appears that the install did not create a database, so I figured I'd try to create one myself
but did not haev any success. Should the install have created a database? I did install the same product on a laptop and it seemed to work fine. The problem I ran into was that it does not have
enough memory to be useful, only 512 Meg. So I decided to install it on my desktop PC with 3 Gig. This is where I am having the problem. I tried a re-install but still no database was created.

  • Database File Space Available (%) alert for sysft_ Catalog_Name

    Hi,
i'm monitoring some SQL Server environments by Grid Control 10.2.0.5 and plug-in for SQL Server 4.0.3.1.0.
I have received some alerts sent from Database File Space Available (%) metric about lack of space for the sysft_<Catalog_Name> datafile, but i can't manage it by Microsoft SQL Management Studio.. or not?
Can someone give me a suggestion to resolve this issue?
    Thanks
    SBI

    Hi SBI,
From the EMGC Console, go to the SQLServer plugin homepage and click on "Metrics and Policy Settings" under the related links section of the page. Next click on the edit column (3 pencils) for the Metric "Database File Space Available (%)". This will take you to the Edit Advanced Settings page where you can specify what database files should be examined for this metric and what thresholds should be set for that particular file.

    Dear Friends,
The issue is resolved, here are the details so it may help others,
    I am on AC 10.0 SP10 and backend ECC6/ GRCPINW    V1000_731    0004    SAPK-10504INGRCPINW    SAP GRC NW Plug-in
I have corrected time zones for the same,
GRC and ECC now on the same time zone and time. (INDIA)
OS servers were on time zone (INDIA) (So cannot confirm if we need SAP application as well as OS on same time zone)
I have applied note 1893579 on backend system,
After applying note EAM synch job filled GRAC*LOG tables and after batch risk analysis I have all logs available in EAM consolidated log reports.
    My analysis,
I also trying to link the entries form GRACFFLOG to check for time stamp, this table has respective time stamp in UTC time zone against FFID entries, they still have the same, so do not conclude that if GRACFFLOG stamps should be in synch, which was the mistake I commited during troubleshooting.
Hope this will help someone. Feel free to ask question if any, would be happy to help, always.
    BR,
    Mangesh
