Database Replay with EBS

Has anyone used Database Replay with EBS? Does it work? Any experiences you can share?

Jeff,
The Apps tech stack is traditionally slow to adopt new database features. I could not find a document that states it is not certified, but that does not mean it is certified. Given that this is a new feature, I would be highly surprised if it was supported within Apps. You can try and open an SR to get a definitive answer.

We are trying to save purchasing attachment to content database. Normally, It goes to EBS database. We have installed content suite and was able to intergrate with EBS. Now we are trying to save attachment to content database instead of EBS database. This we are trying to achieve for Iprocurement.

Basically to acheieve your requirement, you have to use Content db java apis, which is available by oracle. There is also a separate forum for content db .
The idea is make a jsp page which will be the upload docs in content db.Here you have to implement content db java api s'. From oaf page you have to forward to this jsp , here user will upload his docs and then redirect him back to oaf page.

Which is the best approach for upgarde ?

My DB Size is 400GB
1. DBUA
2. Export / Import utility
3. SQL Copy
Client cannot afford downtime .. we are getting approx 6 hrs to complete the task in PROD.DBUA should be the fastest one.
What is the approx time reuired?Depends on many factors (hardware resources, size of the database, ..etc). Please try this in a test instance to estimate the time it requires to do this upgrade.

Clean way to De-register/De-commission the database with EBS from RAC/Cluster.

We have a database with EBS on RAC. We are looking for Clean way to decommissioning the database from the cluster. We tried earlier, but when we again installed a fresh database on that server some how we had issues with the user oracle in cluster configuration files.

We have two node db and two node application server in a cluster environment.
We want to Remove/Decommission JUST DATABASE, APPLICATION related all files from the cluster. Cluster files should not be effected. After removing them we want install a fresh Db and Application on the same cluster.
Looking for any standard method for decommissioning.

Yes you can use any version but i recommend you to use 6.2

How can be joined EM DB web console together with EBS?

Our company uses EBS R12 running under Linux. There is a need for managing the database that comes with EBS. The JAVA version of Enterprise Manager Console lacks some important functionality that resist in EM DB web console. So how can be integrated EM DB web console installation/service into existing EBS system? Please give some hints... There exist an "EM DB Grid Control" installation package but I doubt that it can be installed above the EBS system to manage the EBS database. Is there a right way to implement this?

OID Installation Questions pertaining to integration with EBS 11.5.10.2

Our Environment is E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 and we want to investigate/view OID/SSO in action. Ultimately, we'll attempt to use Microsoft Active Directory as the source (of truth). I had performed OID/SSO integration with EBS about 3 years ago and remember the "overall" scheme, but Oracle's documentation/downloads page has left me thoroughly confused, hence, I am asking those that have been through the process .... THANKS IN ADVANCE
(1) Do I need to install the base AS 10g Infrastructure and Metadata Repository via 10.1.2.0.2 installation or can I go directly to installing OID 10.1.4.0.1 ??
Here is what I believe the steps to be, PLEASE, correct me if I am wrong ...
(1) Install 10.1.2.0.2 Application Server Infrastructure by selecting "Infrastructure and Metadata Repository"
(2) Install 10.1.4.0.1 and select to upgrade an existing 10.1.2.0.2 installation. Once 10.1.4.0.1 has upgraded everything, including the database to 10.1.0.5, I assume that I can simply remove 10.1.2.0.2 through the Oracle Installer. Is this correct ??
(3) Once upgrade to 10.1.4.0.1, I believe that I need to download a Metadata Upgrade Assistant patch, (mrua), and run mrua,sh to upgrade MR to 10.1.4.0.1 which will be apparent by querying app_registry view.
(4) Upgrade 10.1.4.0.1 to 10.1.4.3
The documentation is confusing and hard to find for me. Do these steps seem to accomplish the tasks or am I missing something ??

I didn't do the install myself but we went straight to installing 10.1.4 Identity Manangement, although I believe that Infrastructure components which underly it are essentially the same as 10.1.2. As far as I know you can't use 10.1.3 because it lacks those infrastucture components.

Had any configured physical standby with EBS 11.5.10.2.. if so, in application side what
are all the directories you are synchronising ?... What could be the reason that concurrent
manager failed to start after failover in standby DB ?

Con.manager doesnt start as the targte and actual
process are 0 and there ae requests pending. I tried
restarting con.managers also.. and in the node names,
some of the node columns are filled with the node
name and others are empty.. You need to complete the configuration of the new primary database. Connect to the new primary database using SQL*Plus as user APPS, and execute the following commands:

SQL> commit;As the oracle user on the new primary database server, use AutoConfig to complete configuration for production operations:

Problem in integration of listener with EBS

When i run this *"java -Dapex.home=/apex -Dapex.images=<LOCATION_OF_Image>/image -Dapex.port=<port_no> -Dapex.erase -jar apex.war"*
Its working fine and I get a apex login page .
But the problem is that when I close the terminal all connection are lost and given error "The requested URL could not be retrieved"
How can i integrate listener with EBS .

But the problem is that when I close the terminal all connection are lost and given error "The requested URL could not be retrieved" That's not very surprising, as APEX Listener is running in Standalone Mode in your current scenario. If you close the terminal session that the JVM is running in you kill the JVM and hence APEX Listener.
You could use a tool like "nohup" to detach the process you start from your terminal session. But using the Standalone Mode for a (long running) production scenario is not recommended anyway, and...
I want to configure listener with EBS .When I start instance automatic start apex listener... obviously not your actual aim.
So, EBS shall be your target. Shoudn't be a huge problem, as EBS comes with an OC4J Container and OC4J is one of the Containers officially supported by APEX Listener. I'm not sure if your EBS already ships with the JDK version needed, but as soon as it runs at least 1.6.0_20 it should work.
As I've already replied to your question in {thread:id=1118604} there is a working approach described in {message:id=10069317}.
Did you try that one? If so and it didn't work out, could you please describe the problems you've encountered?
