Database SID contains user objects belonging to system user dbo
Hi,
I started a Java AddIn installation for NetWeaver 2004.
ABAP stack is on SP12.
Win2003 Server SP2
MS SQL 2005
SAPInst is stopping with error <b>Database <SID> contains user objects belonging to system user dbo</b>.
I can't find anything in the log files or in SMP that is guiding me into the right direction...
Any hints??
Thx,
Michael
Hi Michael,
You can use the stored procedure sp_check_sap_login to check and verify your db-logins as per note # 610640 .
Afterwards you can use the script "user_change.sql" which is included in the attachment of note # 551915 to change the objects from 'dbo' to 'sid'.
This may help narrow down the cause at least hopefully.
Regards, Mark

System Copy -- database PRR conains user object belongs to system user dbo
Hi all,
I am having an issue while performing the system copy for the sql server.
Actions taken so far.
1.Detached the database.
2.Installed central instance in the target system .
3.Attached the database using attach as option.
4.Then used STM coll for the conversion.
5.Bought sap in Up condition.
Before detaching the database made export for java addin abap in source system
Then I am trying to import the java add in abap using sapinst(system copy option)..In the half of the way i am getting the below message as ..
DATABASE QAS containus user object belongs to system user dbo.
I have performed the 551915 , 151603 but the still the same message is dispalying.

User tables belonging to the dbo schema were found in the database...
Hi
I´m running SAP on windows server 2003 R2 x64 sql 2005.
I have installed a sandbox system based on NW 7.01 SR1 ECC 6.0. It´s only abap.
After that I wanted to make a system copy of our production system to the the sandbox. So my sql colleague took a full backup of the production database and restored it into the sandbox.
Now I´m trying to run the system copy installation sapinst - SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4 Ready (Support Release 1) - Sotware life Cycle Options - System Copy - MS SQL Server - Target System Installation - Central System - Based on AS ABAP - Central System...
I choose custom and say it´s a Homogeneus System Copy (MS SQL Servver-specific)
After that I choose "Use existing database" but the it say:
*User tables belonging to the dbo schema were found in the database ES0. SOLUTION: You can only install an SAP system in a database with no user objects belonging to the system schema dbo. If there already is an SAP system in the database (MCOD), or you install a Java Add-In, you might have to convert the existing system to its own schema, or contact your SAP support.*
I have searched the forums and can´t find anything I can use. I found someone wrote that I should change the control.xml file under sapinst directory:
Proceed as follows:
1. Stop SAPinst.
2. Open the file control.xml in the sapinst log directory and look for the following lines:
AllowNew: mig ? ?false? : ?true?,
AllowDboObjects: mig ? ?true? : ?false?,
3. Change these lines to
AllowNew: ins ? ?true? : ?false?,
AllowDboObjects: ins ? ?false? : ?true?,
4. Save the control.xml, restart SAPinst and choose ?Continue old installation?.
but it is not helping.
Please advise me.
If this is the wrong forum please tell which one is correct.
Best regards
Thomas

Phase 11 is ok now. We changed the database owner to sap SIDadm.
But now it fails at phase 12 (Move MS SQL Server objects from one schema to another)
An error occurred while processing option SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4 Ready - Support Release 1 > Software Life-Cycle Options > System Copy > MS SQL Server > Target System Installation > Central System > Based on AS ABAP > Central System. You can now:

Choose View Log to get more information about the error.
Stop the option and continue with it later.

Hi,
***Problem
I encounter a problem with FIM (version 4.1.3441.0 and 4.1.3496.0) when I try to delete a User object (and only a User object) whatever if it is
manually/Expiration Workflow/Powershell.
Deleting a User object used to be perfectly functional and, without any product version modification, stopped working. I haven't neither deleted/modified or add a
"Grant" MPR or any of the corresponding Sets since last time I saw it working.
Displayed error is "Request could not be dispatched" in FIM Portal and is referencing a stored procedure in Event Viewer.
***Error details
When I try to delete a User object, here is the output :
Portal
"Processing error" on submit
with the following details
Request status is stuck at "Validating" until next restart of FIM Service (after what it becomes “Canceled”)
Request’s “Applied Policy” tab does not contain any MPR where, at least, a “Grant” MPR is expected
As SQL Timeout is relatively high and error happens quickly, I don’t think there is a Timeout problem under that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks in advance for your help,
MatthewWhile there are several SQL Agent jobs (FIM Temporal Events, Maintain Sets, and Maintain Groups among others)created by the FIM install only one of those is enabled and scheduled and it calls all of the same stored procedures that the other
jobs do. Step 2 is Maintain sets and Step 3 is maintain groups. So the Maintain sets and groups jobs never need to get enabled and scheduled, but if you want them to be maintained more frequently then you can.

How to schedule job with a system user BTC_100
Hi,
Someone setup the background job user BTC_100 as a system user (not a dialog nor service user). I need to schedule a new job and want to have the createBy as BTC_100 instead of my own ID.
I got error (Please logon as a dialog user) when tried to logon as BTC_100.
Do people usually set up their background job ID as a system ID? How can I schedule a new job as BTC_100?
Many thanks in advance!
-SerineHi Prince,
Besides the step owner, I wanted to have the job owner to be BTC_100 as well. Otherwise when I run SM37 and search for job, I'll have to put my ID instead of keep it as BTC_100.
From SUIM, I see BTC_100 has been changed from dialog to SYSTEM so maybe I have to change it to dialog first, create the job and then change it back to SYSTEM?
thanks!

Hi Supports,
I am using sapinst homogeneous system copy in Linux on sybase.
I stuck on the the step 27/49 "create Database".
I checked Firewall is off.
i got points in my sapinst_dev.log that "
1)The log segment in the target database 'SID' is too small (9216 MB) to accommodate the log segment from the dumped database (10240 MB)"
and
2)"Can't change the owner of the master, model, tempdb or sybsystemprocs database"
Do i need to increase "sybase/SID/saplog_1" ? because my "saplog_1" is 49 mb now.
if it is ! how do i increase in this stage.
can any one know about this error???
Thanks,
Aziz.Hi,
When i seen SID.log file so its showing deadlock and checkpoint occurring,
Is any solution ???
Is this because of networks?
we had 2 servers on this same IP. but i stopped one server and one is still running.
please find my SID.log file and revert back if any soltion.

How to delete all users (objects) in 9i database?
Hi friends:
I did a full database exp/imp for a dev database, before imp, I need to delete all objects in the old dev database, I know delete one user is
drop user user_name cascade;
how about all users (objects)???? in 9i database
thank you very muchHi,
I will use
select ' drop user ' ||username|| ' cascade;' from all_users where username not
in ('SYS','SYSTEM', ‘DBSNMP’);
Is there any other users I don't need to drop off besides the above three ones?
thank you very much -
I am looking at an issue with users not getting specific group policies.
After searching a number of client computers I found that the following error
The user '*' preference item in the 'User - 6th Form Students Policy {E03166E7-A848-48B5-AA93-97B848AA9C13}' Group Policy object did not apply because it failed with error code '0x80070003 The system cannot find the path specified.' This error was suppressed.
I can find the folder in the Sysvol folder on all of the domain controllers.
The issue with end users seems to be that the proxy settings for internet explorer is not being applied.
Potential problems?
one folder in sysvol entry is empty
\\<server>\SYSVOL\<domain.name>\Policies\{E03166E7-A848-48B5-AA93-97B848AA9C13}\User\microsoft\IEAK\LOCK
or is this our issue
The old method of configuring proxy settings to Internet Explorer 9 has changed?
https://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2530309?wa=wsignin1.0
http://thommck.wordpress.com/2013/11/08/the-new-way-to-configure-internet-explorer-proxy-settings-with-group-policy/Hi all
In administering this policy I am a little confused.
We have a policy that distributes proxy settings in the internet explorer maintenance settings section - however when opening this policy up in GPO editor the internet explorer maintenance section is not present.
I plan to apply the settings via User/preferences/control panel settings/ internet settings (or registry settings from article) however I am unable to edit the settings for internet explorer maintenance and these will persist. Ideas???? -
After
sql server 2012 installation, I attached my production db. Because of some reasons, i
changed sql engine account from network service user to system user by means of sql server configuration manager.
Now , there isn’t
a problem at sql server running system. But
I have doubts that
this can produce problems later. Because sql server database engine account must have privileges that listed below;
Log on as a service (SeServiceLogonRight)
Replace a process-level token (SeAssignPrimaryTokenPrivilege)
Bypass traverse checking (SeChangeNotifyPrivilege)
Adjust memory quotas for a process
(SeIncreaseQuotaPrivilege)
Permission to start SQL Writer
Permission to read the Event Log service
Permission to read the Remote Procedure Call service
While sql server installation, setup gives these
privileges to network service user automatically, but changing user by means of sql confugarition manager does not give these
privileges.
Now, system user has privileges listed below. And sql server has been running for 1,5 months without any problems.
Log on as a service (SeServiceLogonRight)
Bypass traverse checking
(SeChangeNotifyPrivilege) (Everyone user has his privileges. So i think that system user has this privilege also)
What problems can occur because of this situation? Shall i give other privileges to system user and restart sql server or not? And how can i give these privileges to system user listed below;
Replace a process-level token (
this can be set from user rights assignments)
Adjust memory quotas for a process
(this can be set from user rights assignments)
Permission to start SQL Writer (
? - give advice )
Permission to read the Event Log service (
? - give advice )
Permission to read the Remote Procedure Call service (
? - give advice )Our server is windows server 2008 r2 enterprise edition. I have looked the bunch of permissions in user rights menu that is in local security policy settings gui.
And i have seen those permissions below were not granted to system user;
Bypass traverse checking (SeChangeNotifyPrivilege)
Adjust memory quotas for a process
(SeIncreaseQuotaPrivilege)
So, briefly you say, don't panic ? -
Not able to connect to orcl database other than system user
Hi,
I am getting the following error when I am trying to connect to orcl database.
I had created a user 'jeff' on oracle and oracle_sid is already set and database is up.listener is started, tnsnames.ora, listenrer.ora are configured.What other problem can be?
The point is that I am able to connect to orcl using "system" user but not "jeff".
If possible can you send me the snippet of commands to create user , granting privilege to orcl. I had refered oracle guide but may be I am doing some silly mistake.
sqlplus /nolog;

I wish to permanently unlock my SYSTEM user account. I have tried:
alter user SYSTEM identified by xxx account unlock;
After running the command I can logon successfully one time to the SYSTEM account then it is automatically locked again. The next time I try to logon I have to unlock the account again.
How can I make the unlock permanent?1. Modify the password used by oraperf.dll
The 10g Windows documentation informs customers to run a tool called operfcfg to change the password.
To set the system password, enter the following: operfcfg.exe -U SYSTEM -P password -D TNS_ALIAS_FOR_DDATATBASE
See Oracle Database Installation for Windows 10g guide, section 4: Configuring Oracle Components; Configuring Oracle Counters for Windows Performance Monitor
or
2. Disable oraperf.dll
NOTE: This step should only be performed by knowledgable Windows System Administrator's:
To disable the oraperf.dll, modify the following key in the registry. HKeyLocalMachine\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Oracle10\Performance. Change the value for Library to "notthere_oraperf.dll" from "oraperf.dll".

Dear Gurus,
We are facing the below issue when performing a homogeneous system copy of NW 7.0 system using backup/restore method for DB6 system.
The Java load in database <SID>/<hostname> has not been configured yet. You cannot run an installation from the System Copy folder with this load.
We went through the SAP Note http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2049842, and followed the same but no luck.
We updated the Kernel to the latest, but still no luck.
Request for your quick help as we have to complete it by EOD today.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Best Regards,
AnujHello Ashutosh ,
Thanks for your reply.
We have gone followed the below sequence:
SCS Installation
Database Instance Installation using backup/restore method
CI installation. -> getting error, when we provide the Java Components DVD.

Any Simple Way to check wheter the user is belongs to SharePoint Group in Client object model
Hi All,
Generally we follow these steps to check whether user belongs to this perticular group:
1.Get the "Group" object from the Group Collection based on the group name
2.Get all UserCollection from the "Group" object
3.Take a loop and check with each user object (eg User.ID="777473844")
I am thinking this is time taking process( if group has more than 100 members).
Do we have any shortway to check whether user is belongs to this perticular SharePoint Group?
Thanks in Advance!
Thanks,
Mahesh Yamana
Mahesh@SharepointSolutionsHi Mahesh,
Below is a CSOM JS code to check whether a user belongs to a group. We get the current user object, and then the list of Groups which the user is part of. And then check if the required group is present or not in the collection.
function retrieveWebSite() {
var clientContext = new SP.ClientContext.get_current();
this.oWebsite = clientContext.get_web();
this.oCurrentUser = this.oWebsite.get_currentUser();
this.oUserGroups = this.oCurrentUser.get_groups();
clientContext.load(this.oUserGroups);
clientContext.executeQueryAsync(
Function.createDelegate(this, this.onQuerySucceeded),
Function.createDelegate(this, this.onQueryFailed)
function onQuerySucceeded(sender, args) {
var Group1 = "Group Name One";
var Group2 = "Group Name Two";
var flag = false;
var iCount = this.oUserGroups.get_count();
for(var i=0; i<iCount; i++)
oGroup = this.oUserGroups.getItemAtIndex(i);
if(oGroup.get_title() != Group1 && oGroup.get_title() != Group2)
flag=true;
else
flag=false; break;
if(flag == true)
//Write your logic here
function onQueryFailed(sender, args) {
alert('Request failed. ' + args.get_message() +
'\n' + args.get_stackTrace());

Deleting mailbox without removing user object? Exchange 2010
In Exchange 2010, How can I delete a mailbox but keep the User Object since this user still access the network??
Caution: Horror story ahead:
Yeah, well, the earlier bits of Exchange 2010 don't let you remove Exchange without first removing the mailbox from the mailbox database... this is according to MSFT documentation. So I highlighted all the users at a customer's 130 user site and clicked
remove. S.O.A.B.!!!! Only to find out one of the other senior techs did the same thing at a 10 user site but didn't tell anybody.
The worst thing here is that there were no backups of AD. We were able to restore the deleted user accounts via the aduser tool from sysinternals, but it only got the sam name and the SID, no group memberships, no passwords, not even first name, lastname
or UPN. Since AD comes with the recycle bin disabled (dumb because you don't know you have to enable it until you need it.) and the new Windows Server Backup doesn't let you take system state backups without lots of hassle dedicating drives and backup
locations, we found ourselves royally um... humped. Still dealing with the after math after restoring the objects for over 6 hours.
Thanks for the egg on my face MSFT!
