Database Version number 9.2.6 or 9.2.0.6

Can any one please tell me the detailed Database version numbers for Oracle 8i and Oracle 9i.
is there any database version available with version number 9.2.6. but i think 9.2.0.6 is only available.
what are all the patches required for upgrading oracle 8i to oracle 9.2.0.6

Hi,<br>
<br>
To explain the Oracle Release Number, I advise you to read Oracle release<br>
9.2.6. but i think 9.2.0.6 is only available<br>You're right, 9.2.6 doesn't exists. But 9.2.0.7 is available for some plateform.<br>
And to migrate from 8i to 9i, you can directly migrate, but depend of 8i version. Read Upgrade Guide<br>

  • How I can log Sequence File version number to database?

    Hi,
    As in the subject.
How I can log Sequence File version number to database?
There is nothing like that under Logging object.

Do you need it in a separate field in the databse?
One option is to just add it as an additional result in a step in your sequence file.
    RunState.SequenceFile.AsPropertyObjectFile.Version
    Hope this helps,

  • How do I make my iPhoto Library's version number appear in the Get Info window?

I recently (within the past 2 weeks) purchased a new 27 inch iMac and have been importing data (applications and files) from my 2010 Macbook Pro via AirDrop.  One of the first files I migrated over was my iPhoto Library.  I doing so, I noticed a few differences between its file attributes and those of the iPhoto Library file created by default on my new computer - two of which I'll note here.  First, I noticed that the file resident on my new OS was labeled iPhoto Library.photolibrary while my older version did not have the ".photolibrary" extension.  That seemed simple enough to correct so I added that extension to my old library file.  The second difference I'd note - and the source of my question - is that the default iPhoto Library file displayed a version number (9.5.1) in its "Get Info" window, while mine did not.  I checked my file's info.plist file and the correct information seems to be listed.  It reads (in part):
    <dict>
                   <key>CFBundleGetInfoString</key>
                   <string>iPhoto Libary 9.5.1</string>
                   <key>CFBundleShortVersionString</key>
                   <string>9.5.1</string>
    </dict>
    </plist>
I'm not sure this is really a question for the iPhoto community, as it seems like a more general issue; but, this is my first post to these forums, and I didn't know where to start.  Thanks in advance for the advise/suggestions.

In terms of the info.plist file, I only reviewed it to see why I wasn't seeing the version number in the GetInfo window.
    The string "<key>CFBundleGetInfoString</key>
                   <string>iPhoto Libary 9.5.1</string>"
is exactly what will be shown in the Get Info panel. I tested that by simply editing this string in a test library using XCode. I could "Get Info" to show ridiculous versions numbers this way.
However, none of my older iPhoto libraries will show the version string in Get Info, only libraries I created with iPhoto 9.5.1. or Aperture 3.3 or later.
There is probably one of the other database files in the folder "database" - *.appdb and *.db  interfering.  None of the Library First Aid options did make the version number show for my older iPhoto libraries - not even rebuilding the iPhoto library. The only way I could make the version number show in "Get Info" was by exporting the library as a new library using Aperture. But this exported library is now showing as Aperture library.

    Hi Jan,
For the error "The product version and database version are not compatible", as Emma said, the version number of the Service does not match the database schema version.
In your scenario, which version of database are you using? Please note that MDS update required after SQL 2012 SP1 installation, please refer to the links below to see the details.

As far as i know 6.1 is not compatible with the 5 db schema, so you will need an update / migration plan for the db also.

  • OID 10gR3 full version number and compatibility

I am a bit confused about the OID version and compatibility. Can anyone help?
Siteminder r12 is compatible with OID 10gR3 as per Siteminder compatibility matrix.
When I try to find OID version number and in turn its compatibility with Operating system and database, I am finding it hard to understand which version I should be looking for when I want to use OID 10gR3 (e.g. is it 10.1.4.0.1 or 10.1.4.1 or 10.1.4.2 etc)
There is no clear documentation providing this information. From one of the documents (www.oracle.com/technology/.../internet_directory_wp_10gr3.pdf) it seems it is 10.1.4.2
However when I goto download site it only has 10.1.4.0.1.
Also, as per certification matrix of OID 10.1.4 it says it is compatible with OEL5, whereas after downloading 10.1.4.0.1 it fails to install complaining that it needs Red Hat Linux 3 or 4.
Need you help to understand this.
    Thanks,

The Base line version is 10.1.4.1.0, all others are patches. The latest being 10.1.4.3.0, which can be downloaded via MOS (formerly known as Metalink).
10G release 3 is marketing speak; 10.1.4.1 thru 10.1.4.3 are all 10G Release 3 (but different patchlevels. Guess you can speak of OID 10G release 3 patch 2, when you mean OID V10.1.4.3.0 - technicians tend to use versions).

  • How to check the Oracle database version

    Hi,
How can i check, what type of database am using and which version?
Can anyone help me to know?

I am not sure what exactly you mean by "what type of database am using " but you can try this:
    select from v$version;*
This will give you detailed version number of the database components. You can also use
    select from PRODUCT_COMPONENT_VERSION;*
to get various components of the DB with their version.

  • OCM Database version ?

    Hi,
I'm currently preparing the OCM exam.
I had a look to the version I have to use.
In the page : http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=41&p_org_id=&lang=&p_exam_id=11gOCM, we can read that the database version is 11.2.0.
But we haven't the last number which is very important for us, for example, in 11.2.0.1 there's no private interconnect bonding, and in 11.2.0.2 it has been implemented.
    Thanks for your answers.
    Laurent

    Hi Laurent,
Although I have completed the 1-day 11gOCM exam ony, which was on 11gR1 (11.1.0.7) and the 2-days 10gOCM (10.2.0.1) I am pretty sure the 2-days 11gOCM exam has been developed on 11.2.0.1.
On the other hand, I suggest to take a closer look at the topics of the exam, the Grid and the RAC ones in particular... None of them says anything about interconnect configuration as such.
Even if the environment turns out to be 11.2.0.2, in my humble opinion this kind of difference between the releases should not make to much difference or trouble.
Good luck with the exam anyway!

    Jozsef

  • Database version discrepancy...

If I check the properties of my post office in Console One, it says
database version is 12. If I check the configuration through the web
console, it says database version is 8. Why the discrepancy? How do
    I fix it?

I'd be really surprised if it's not - ConsoleOne reads directly from the
database. The HTTP agents extrapolate their info from XML - so it's likely that
there was a bug with that for the version number.

Which could be from upgrading the agents (inplace) but not running the agent configuration bit? Not sure which version references exactly get updated when running configure agents on an existing server.

  • Adding a Custom Version Number for a schema

    Hi,
I'm currently looking at ways to set an arbitrary version number that would help me know where a particular is currently at. I already have a logging table to indicate which scripts have been run. But I want to "tag" my schema with a version.
In MSSQL I've been using the extended properties. I was wondering if there was such a thing for a Schema. The Comments functions don't seem to be available at that particular level in the database. Should I have a separate table or there's something I can use that's already there but just can't find?
    Thanks,
    Greg

New info: Updating to iba 2.0 without updating to producer 2.8 is not to recommend:
Book Versioning is available for books constructed in EPUB 3 or using iBooks Author version 2.0.
If your book is in EPUB 3 format or was created using iBooks Author version 2.0, it is important to note you are required to fill out the "What's New in Version" section in the Info pane in iTunes Producer.  If you update your book and you do not fill out this section, your book will not continue through our review process and thus, will not go live on the iBookstore.
First please ensure you are using the latest version (2.8) of iTunes Producer. You can download this new version in iTunes Connect under the Deliver Your Content module. Once you have launched iTunes Producer version 2.8 and clicked on Look Up Metadata from the “Welcome to iTunes Producer” window,  you will see the "What’s New in Version" section in the Info pane.
If your book is not in EPUB 3 format and was not created using iBooks Author version 2.0, you are not required to fill out the "What's New in Version" section in iTunes Producer.

  • OWB 10gR2 and 11gR2 integrate which with oracle database versions

I request a clear definite reply as I need to suggest the client to upgrade their production databases. I did try searching on the oracle sites, but did not get any sure answer.
    Question:
The client has databases on 8i, 9i & 10g. Will OWB 10gR2 support these data sources?
If not, either I will have to ask clients to upgrate 8i & 9i to oracle 10g or have them upgrade the same and also have them upgrade to OWB 11gR2.
So, please confirm support of database versions for both OWB 10gR2 & OWB 11gR2.
    Thanks much!

I already had the 'Release notes' link for both 10g and 11g which you provided.
The issue is when I launch the URL, I am taken to https://support.oracle.com/CSP/ui/flash.html.
Here I've to submit and register Sun Contract Number or Oracle Support Identifier. I don't have these details.
Isn't there a simple way to get the valid information on platform-specific requirements?
I mean this should be given easily on Oracle site.
    Thanks much!

  • Client version vs Database version

Is it possible to install Oracle8i, and Oracle9i databases in multiple (separate) Oracle homes on the same computers and have Oracle8i, and Oracle9i clients connecting to any or all of the databases.
What is the relation existing between my client version and the database version?

It's possible to have an arbitrary number of Oracle homes with an arbitrary number of different client & database versions on a single machine.
If you install the Oracle database, the same version client will automatically be installed in that Oracle home. If you install an 8.1.7 Oracle database in OraHome817, the 8.1.7 Oracle client will automatically be installed in OraHome817.
It's also possible to have a client-only install, i.e. you could install the 8.1.6 Oracle client to OraHome816 without having an 8.1.6 database installed.
Connectivity should be possible (assuming appropriate tnsnames.ora files, etc) between clients and databases in any of these homes. The only limitation you have any chance of hitting is that communication between 9.2 and 7.3.4 clients & databases isn't allowed. Any 8.0+ client can communicate with any 8.0+ database.

  • Patch Set Updates and the version number

Oracle document 854428.1, Patch Set Updates (PSUs) for Oracle Products, has this to say about the version number:
2.3 Baseline Version for Easier Tracking
Oracle associates a version number to the patch. The fifth number of the database version is incremented for each PSU. For example, the initial PSU is version 11.1.0.7.1, the second PSU for Release 11.1.0.7 is 11.1.0.7.2, and so on.
My DBAs just told me that they applied PSU3 to our database, which had version number 11.2.0.2.0. I checked the version number after the PSU was applied, but it is still the same:
    SQL> select version from v$instance;
    VERSION
    11.2.0.2.0
Do the PSUs change the fifth number in the version or not?

    SQL> select comments from sys.registry$history where action_time > sysdate - 1
    COMMENTS
    PSU 11.2.0.2.3
Thankyou, that answers my question. The fifth number in the version column of the v$instance view does not seem to change when a PSU is applied. However, the sys.registry$history view has a record of the PSU with the correct fifth number in the version.
