Database Version shipped with 11.5.5
We are in the middle of a test upgrade from 11.0.3 to 11.5.5 on Solaris 2.8. I want to know, the database version that is shipped with 11.5.5 media. Is it 8.1.7.1, 8.1.7.2, 8.1.7.3 or 8.1.7.4?
Thanks,
Prasad

We have no experience with this. I advice you to post a question in the JDeveloper forum and see if the JDeveloper Wizard supports UIX 2.1.20, because that is the version of UIX that will be used after you copied the UIX libraries we supply. If not, you should restore the libraries as delivered with JDeveloper.

Version 2.1.20 is beyond 2.1.7. I don't know what version is delivered with JDeveloper 9.0.3 but I as far as I know, JDeveloper 9.0.4 comes with UIX version 2.1.19.
I do not think there is that much difference between the UIX version as delivered with JDeveloper and 2.1.20, that you cannot succesfully use the online UIX Developers Guide of JDeveloper. For questions about UIX, please refer to the UIX forum (technologies -> UIX) or the JDeveloper forum.

Database Structure shipped with ALBPM suite
Team,
I am newbie in ALBPM and trying to understand the technical architecture.
I do believe that once you install the enterprise version of that there are two schemas which are created
1.) obpmdir
2.) obpmeng
I am trying to understand what is use / contained in these shema which can be leveraged to build an application.
Regards,
RJainThanks Swapan, I was really hoping for a positive answer from someone working on the same DB ver. I have added one more question to my post, maybe you know if there are any problems when working with the BI Beans regarding the fact that I am using JDeveloper that shipped with the Developer Suite, and thus not a standalone ver.
Again many thanks,

Database Version number 9.2.6 or 9.2.0.6
Can any one please tell me the detailed Database version numbers for Oracle 8i and Oracle 9i.
is there any database version available with version number 9.2.6. but i think 9.2.0.6 is only available.
what are all the patches required for upgrading oracle 8i to oracle 9.2.0.6Hi,<br>

To explain the Oracle Release Number, I advise you to read Oracle release<br>
9.2.6. but i think 9.2.0.6 is only available<br>You're right, 9.2.6 doesn't exists. But 9.2.0.7 is available for some plateform.<br>

Reverting Mavericks RecoveryHD partition back to the original OS version shipped
Hi all,
I'm trying to piece together various bits of information acquired through forums, web searches, etc. in the hopes of understanding the end result a bit better.
I currently have Mavericks installed in a VM - default system OS is still Mountain Lion, which is also the OS version contained in the current RecoveryHD partition. I am thinking of removing the VM install and doing a straight system update from ML to Mavericks, which by design, would also update the RecoveryHD partition to Mavericks.
In the event that I choose to return to Mountain Lion (the OS version shipped with the machine), notwithstanding manual cloning/backup steps, would a full repartition of the internal HD (including recreating the Boot Camp partition later) allow for Internet Recovery to not only install Mountain Lion but recreate the Mountain Lion RecoveryHD as well?
Just trying to gain a clearer perspective on what may lay ahead of me should I choose to revert.
Thanks! The problem is that that page does not actually have the 10.5.0 version of java; it has 10.4 update 6, and 10.5 update's 1 through 3; not the 10.5 original.
And, that game works just fine on PC's and Linux with either Java 5 or Java 6; it's ONLY on the mac, and apparently only on the updated mac java engines.
They consider it an Apple Java fault, not their fault.
Perhaps a better question to ask: Is the Java version that shipped on the 10.5 DvD the same as the 10.4 update 6 (in which case I can download it easily), or is it upgraded to match the 10.5 OS (in which case I can't seem to find a download/downgrade online).
(Grumble. At least Microsoft Windows updates can be uninstalled.) -
I want to add another management server to our existing SCOM environment. But whenever I run this setup on a new server I get stuck in the window for selecting the OperationsManager database. The database field stays blank and in the OpsMgrSetupWizard log
there are lines that the setup version is not compatible with the database version. But I use the same installer as when I installed the other management servers a year ago.
Maybe there is a newer setup installer? But I can't find it.

Hi,
From the 10.1.2 BI Beans Install Guide it says:
OracleBI Beans supports data stored in Oracle9i Enterprise Edition or Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition. However, only particular releases and patchsets are supported:
* Oracle9i Release 2 Enterprise Edition, as follows:
o 9.2.0.6 for all platforms.
o 9.2.0.5 with the latest OLAP patch for Windows-only.
* Oracle Database 10g Release 1 Enterprise Edition with the latest OLAP patch.
From the error message it would appear that the Database is not one of the above.
Thanks,
Lisa

Hi,
Please note that we have follwing versions of DB up and running:-
1)Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.1.0.2.0 - Production
With the Partitioning, OLAP and Data Mining options
2)Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.5.0 - Production
With the Partitioning and Real Application Clusters options
JServer Release 9.2.0.5.0 - Production
Pls let us know the solution to resolve this problem ASAP.
Thanks. You are not using a supported version of the database. BI Beans/OLAP only support the following database versions:
10g - 10.1.0.3 with additional OLAP patch
9i - 9205 with additional OLAP patch
9i - 9206
I would suggest that you have not applied all the required database patches to your instance.
Hope this helps

Installing Discoverer with Database Version Oracle 10g Express Edition
Hello,
Is it possilbe to install Discoverer with database version Oracle 10g Express Edition? I have Oracle Fusion Middleware 11.1.1.1.0 on my Windows XP machine as well. If so, can someone please provide me a link to the Discoverer download.
Regards,
KellyNote that the Personal Edition of the database is 'the most powerful' version, in that it contains all features and options of the Enterprise Edition (expect RAC and Enterprise Manager packs)
As such, the Personal Edition, at a mere USD$400-500 is one of the most cost effective for-fee products that Oracle has in it's inventory. It is targeted at the developer. And it comes with the complete set of Sample Data, whereas XE has a very limited subset (since it does not support all functionality).
Express Edition is indeed free, but it is not supported, and can not be patched. OTOH it does have a lighter footprint.
Again, I am not sure whether Disco 11g is compatible with Express Edition. (It's on my schedule for December ...) -

What version ilife shipped with 10.4?
Hi:
Sorry, searched but couldn't find. I did a clean install and it looks like the ilife apps are older versions. I have iTunes 7.5, iPhoto 5.0.4, Garage Band 2.0.1, iMovie HD 5.0.2, iDvd 5.0.1. Are these iLife '06 apps?
TIA and Happy New Year! The retail Mac OS X 10.4 package does not include any version of iLife; if you used your computer's original disks to reinstall Mac OS X 10.4, you will have the same iLife version that originally shipped with it, which varies with the model and purchase date.
You have the iLife 05 applications.

Can you upgrade the Java JDK that is shipped with ES3 to a more current version
We have installed ES3 within out environment. However there appears to be some security issues with the JDK (1.6.0_26) that is shipped with ES3. We can't find any documentation on how to upgrade the JDK to a newer version that will work with ES3.
These computers usually use Xandros, which is a version of linux that is no longer actively developed. Unfortunately I don't think there is a good way to update Firefox on these machines. I'd suggest you install a new version of linux (Ubuntu is a very popular and easy to use one). This is a bit beyond the scope of this forum however, I'd suggest looking on a few linux forums. They can help you find a version of linux that is more modern, faster and more secure, and then help you with installing it and setting it up. You'll be able to use the newest Firefox at that point, plus your operating system will be updated and faster.

OWB 10gR2 and 11gR2 integrate which with oracle database versions
I request a clear definite reply as I need to suggest the client to upgrade their production databases. I did try searching on the oracle sites, but did not get any sure answer.
Question:
The client has databases on 8i, 9i & 10g. Will OWB 10gR2 support these data sources?
If not, either I will have to ask clients to upgrate 8i & 9i to oracle 10g or have them upgrade the same and also have them upgrade to OWB 11gR2.
So, please confirm support of database versions for both OWB 10gR2 & OWB 11gR2.
Thanks much!I already had the 'Release notes' link for both 10g and 11g which you provided.
The issue is when I launch the URL, I am taken to https://support.oracle.com/CSP/ui/flash.html.
Here I've to submit and register Sun Contract Number or Oracle Support Identifier. I don't have these details.
Isn't there a simple way to get the valid information on platform-specific requirements?
I mean this should be given easily on Oracle site.
Thanks much! -

Apple rarely updates the build that is installed at the factory unless new hardware requires the update. The current MacBooks should be shipping with 10.4.9.
