Datafile goes to Offline in Windows reach at 20GB

Hai All,
Our Database(Oracle 9i) Working in Windows 2000 Server . Last Thursday around 1:30 our one datafile goes to offline and cannot read or write from this datafile. I see the size =0 and status offline in oracle Enterprise Manager Console.
The Error Part from Alert Log file is

The database is in archive log. This specific datafile is in autoextend mode . This error reaches 20th gb of datafile. any limitation of the database file in Windows. In Hard disk lot of space extra at that time. What is the reason of happening this error please help...

HP 8600 constantly goes offline on Windows 8

Does anyone have any tips on why my HP 8600 keeps showing that it is offline on Windows 8?
I have two machines running Windows 8 and both show the printer offline.
I also have a mac, ipad and another computer running Windows 7 - and each of these can print just fine (while it is still offline for the Windows 8 machines)
The only way I have found to fix it is to erase all drivers, reset the network router, and reinstall everything. Clearly not a solution every 2 days.
Anyone have any advice?

Welcome to the Forums!
I saw your post about your Officejet 8600 showing offline on your Windows 8 system. There may be a firewall on that specific computer that is blocking the connection, amongst other possibilities.
I suggest troubleshooting the problem by using the guide below:

Drop datafile from a offline tablespace

We are running oracle 9.2 on windows.
Out of the 3 datafiles in a non-system tablespace A, one datafile A-DF1 was accidently droped from the file system by our DBA.
The other two datafiles were brought online by using the ALTER DATABASE RECOVER command by bringning the database in mount phase.
Now we want to remove that datafile A-DF1 from the tablespace and bring that tablespace online.
The database is not in archive mode and no cold backup was present.
The solution that we want to try is:
1-drop the tablespace A without dropping the datafiles
2-create a new tablespace and reuse those datafiles
3-assign this new tablespace to the affected user
Would this work? Do you have any other safe solution for this problem?

Hi..
Your solution is a wrong solution.
1. I guess, that the tablespace A won't be a empty tablespace.As, the objects are present in the tablespace you can't drop the tablespace without dropping its contents.You will have to use *DROP TABLESPACE <tbs_name> INCLUDING CONTENTS; -- This will drop all the contents.
2. Do, you have a export backup, or any kind of backup.As the database is in no archivelog mode, you won't be able to do complete recovery.
3. Take the datafile A-DF1 OFFLINE and keep the tablespace online. -- alter database datafile 'datafile_name' offline;
If you don't have any kind of backup, the data is LOST.

You need to copy 2 files, key3.db and signons.sqlite, from the old [[profiles|profile folder]] to the profile folder on the new computer.

Problem statement: Outlook 2013 email message goes behind main Outlook window when opening PDF attachment with Adobe Reader 11.0.3
Environment: Windows 8 x64; Office 2013; Adobe Reader 11.0.3
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Open Outlook 2013
2. Open email message with PDF attachment
3. Open PDF attachment (with Adobe Reader as default PDF viewer)
4. Close Adobe Reader
Results: Original email message with PDF attacment now sits behind the main Outlook window
Expected results: Original email message should be on top of main Outlook window as it was when opening the PDF attachment
Note: Adobe Acrobat Profession performs as expected - the original email is on top of the main Outlook window - This only seems to be a problem with Adobe Reader.
Has anyone else experience this problem? If so, have you found a work-around?

From: new window opens behind existing window - how to modify?
I had this problem happening in Outlook.
If I tried to open an email, it would open behind the main Outlook window.
The same happened if I opened a link in the email - it would open behind the mail.
The fix that was suggested to me was so simple that I still don't believe it.
Right click on the task bar and unlock the taskbar, then lock it again.
Close down Outlook and re-start it.
Problem solved! Just dont know how or why.

I did what you said and updated FF, now the download goes to the external HDD that I specified, but now FF bugs, it freezes (not responing) :s

When a movie clip contains an object with a z value, I can not edit the object in place, it goes into a seperate window.
This changes the vanishing point relative to the movieclip instead of the stage (allong with everything else).
This makes it very hard to keep track of where the movieclips will end up when actualy playing the animation.

I should have explained my situation a little better. I have a machine that's made up of a number of parts, some of them are fairly large and some are quite small. When a user clicks on a part, I want to center that part on the screen and then move whole machine toward the screen until the selected part either fills the screen (for the larger parts) or the part bumps up against the front clip plane (for the smaller parts).
I didn't think of checking for a collision with the ViewPlatform's TG, thanks for mentioning that. I wasn't sure how the ViewPlatform's location relates to the clipping plane, but I'll dig into it. I'm still learning how the ViewingPlatform, the image plate, and the clipping planes all relate to each other.

Old problem I know but I cant play any of the songs in my library.tells me cant find original . Have not changed anything apart from going from xp to windows 7.

Go into windows explorer and find out where the music is now located - in Windows 7 you have libraries for documents, music, photos and video.

If all the files are in that place it may just be that you have to amend a preference in iTunes:

ensure Keep itunes Media organised and Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library are both ticked

I´m having a problem with a Double Layer DVD project in Encore CS3: a 1 hour 30 minutes video goes back to menu before reaching the end for no apparent reason.
I don´t know if this is related to the layer break point of the DVD-DL. I just leave this setting in auto and burn the disc with Nero.
Any input would be appreciated.

Well, I forgot to mention that I was burning the DVD disk with Nero, as I´ve read that Encore puts the layer break point in a weird way.
But after burning the disc with other aplication, the problem disappeared, don´t know why.
Sadly, now I have another different problems. I´ll open a different thread for them.

After doing snapshot my application was created and even in fdm also i found error while creating application(hint:cache not found) but now everything is fine don't know what exactly the error may be but now i am facing 404 error while doing Assign Access control in shared services console what may be the reason did anyone experienced this error if so please provide me the solution.

Scroll bar goes crazy and active window jumps around in size - Help

I've got iTunes 7.0.5 installed. If I use iTunes for any length of time, my system goes crazy. The scroll bar on whatever program I make active goes up and down like mad, while the content of the active window shrinks and magnifies in size multiple times a second. It's very bizarre and consistently happens only when I run iTunes for some length of time. I have no problem if I choose Windows Media Player. It's very disturbing, as I can no longer use iTunes. Any help in knowing how to fix the problem, or even to trouble shoot it further, would be greatly appreciated.

Here are a couple of thoughts on the Timeline scrolling and other possible display issues:
1.) make sure that you have the very latest video driver - the very latest
2,) if you have Vista, turn Aero and Sidebar off
3.) if you have Window Blinds, get the very latest version
4.) if you have an InteliPoint mouse driver, try removing it, and using the standard Windows mouse driver instead*
5.) if you have a laptop and both the touch-pad and a mouse are installed and ON, turn the touch-pad OFF
These are some suggestions that might affect your display issues.

Problem to make able Offline File Windows 7

Hi, I need your help to solve this problem whit the offline files.
This is the step-by-step of what i done:
I opened the control panel in windows 7
I Clicked on the sync center icon
I Clicked on the manage offline files link
I Clicked on the enable offline files button
I Restarted the pc
But it doesn’t work out: when I go back to the start on the control panel I find the button “Enable Offline Files” instead of the “Disable Offline Files”.
Can someone tell me why? I need to know what I do wrong.

Did you enable offline files by using an administrator account? Just a confirmation, thanks for your understanding.
In addition, would you please let me know whether the problematic Windows 7 client computer joined to a domain?
If it’s in domain environment, please contact your administrator and confirm if disable “Allow or Disallow use of the Offline Files feature” policy setting (the path in GPME: Computer Configuration-> Policies-> Administrative Templates->
Network-> Offline Files). If disable this policy setting, Offline Files is disabled and users cannot enable it.
