Dataload from R3 hangs -

Hi Friends,
We are loading data (Delta) from R3 The jobs is showing status yellow, infact it shows same status for infinite time.
(Normally it takes 5-6 minuts).
The job which gets triggered in R3 shows successful completion in SM37. In BW system SM50 doesn'y show any active job and Sm37 job triggered by infopackage also shows completed. But the monitor is showing Yellow status with following message
Request still running
Diagnosis
No errors could be found. The current process has probably not finished yet.
System response
The ALE inbox of the SAP BW is identical to the ALE outbox of the source system
and/or
the maximum wait time for this request has not yet run out
and/or
the batch job in the source system has not yet ended.
Current status
Update rules
Please help to resolve this issue.
Regards
SSS

Hi,
I will suggest you to check a few places where you can see the status
1) SM37 job log (In source system if load is from R/3 or in BW if its a datamart load) (give request name) and it should give you the details about the request. If its active make sure that the job log is getting updated at frequent intervals.
Also see if there is any 'sysfail' for any datapacket in SM37.
2) SM66 get the job details (server name PID etc from SM37) and see in SM66 if the job is running or not. (In source system if load is from R/3 or in BW if its a datamart load). See if its accessing/updating some tables or is not doing anything at all.
3) RSMO see what is available in details tab. It may be in update rules.
4) ST22 check if any short dump has occured.(In source system if load is from R/3 or in BW if its a datamart load)
5) SM58 and BD87 for pending tRFCs.
Once you identify you can rectify the error.
If all the records are in PSA you can pull it from the PSA to target. Else you may have to pull it again from source infoprovider.
If its running and if you are able to see it active in SM66 you can wait for some time to let it finish. You can also try SM50 / SM51 to see what is happening in the system level like reading/inserting tables etc.
If you feel its active and running you can verify by checking if the number of records has increased in the data tables.
Thanks,
JituK

  • Problem during dataloads from myself datasources

    Hi folks,
    I'm facing the problem that after a hardware crash and subsequent reboot no dataloads from the myself system are working anymore.I'm getting very strange error messages like I posted hereafter. I have not got a clue what to do. I performed already a restore on the source system and ran "activate_all_transfer_Structure" but in vain. Anybody any idea?

  • Generating PDF from RH9 hangs

    RoboHelp HTML 9.0.1.232, Word 2003 (SP3), Adobe Reader 10.0.1, Windows 7
    Creating PDF output from a RH project. Progress bar gets to 95%+ and then hangs. Message box doesn't respond to the Cancel button. Have to kill the application from Windows task manager. 232 topics, new machine, decent processor, 4GB RAM.
    Created a new Output Layout in the Single Source pod, to make sure there was nothing hooky lying around.
    Any thoughts?

    Adobe Reader does not create PDF files so that is not what is being used by your print layout.
    First thing to try is deselecting PDF and using the Word option. That will tell you whether the problem is the content or creating PDFs generally. If it latter, verify that by trying to generate from one of the sample projects.

  • 6380 wireless finds Vista machine but not XP machine - scan from XP hangs - hpqdstcp.exe hogging cpu

    Hello,
    Having some trouble with my new 6380 all-in-one.
    Installation is wireless on 802.11g Linksys router. One machine is Windows Vista Home the other a laptop running XP.
    When I scan from the 6380 it does not offer me a choice of computer - it simply scans over to the Vista machine.It does not appear to know the XO machine is there.
    If I attempt to run the scanner via "Solution Center" from my XP machine and attempt to run scan or access scan settings the application hangs with its initial popup window. Other settings unrelated to scanning ARE accessible from the XP running Solution Center.
    I have also repeatedly had the XP machine slow to a crawl and Process Manager indicates hpqdstcp.exe using 70-90% of cpu.
    I AM able to print to the 6380 from the XP machine.
    I AM ALSO able to scan to the XP if I am running my paint program (Paintshop Pro) and select the 6380 as the TWAIN device.
    On the XP machine: I have Avast Antivirus running, Windows Firewall and Spybot Resident. Firewall has a long list of hpq*.* programs on its exception list and I have added a few more from the bin directory just in case.
    I have tried running the "Solution Center" with the antivirus and spybot disabled and the firewall OFF - no change.
    I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the software on the XP to no avail.
    Had a Canon LidoScan scanner connected to the XP machine via USB prior to this. Removed it and uninstalled.
    Have a Dell color Laser connected to the router via USB.
    Ran a registry cleaner having read somewhere that this problem had to do with a registry error.
    I would surely appreciate your thoughts.
    thanks,
    Daryl

  • Printing from applet hangs

    I'm trying to create an applet that can print a graphic. I have a single button and the event seems to fire when clicked. I get the security warning asking me if I want to print. I click yes and it usually pops up again and I hit yes again and then it hangs. My end goal is to print a coupon image from the browser without the print dialog so that multiple copies cannot be printed. Yes, I've heard of photo copiers but evidently the client is fine with that. At this point I'm just trying to get something to print period from the applet. Any ideas?
         public void PrintCoupon2()
              try {
              PrintRequestAttributeSet pras = new HashPrintRequestAttributeSet();
              pras.add(new Copies(1));
              PrintService pss[] = PrintServiceLookup.lookupPrintServices(DocFlavor.URL.JPEG, pras);
              if (pss.length == 0) {
                   throw new RuntimeException("No printer services available.");
              PrintService ps = pss[0];
              System.out.println("Printing to " + ps);
              DocPrintJob job = ps.createPrintJob();
                   URL url = new URL("http://www.mydomain.com/images/test.jpg");
                   Doc doc = new SimpleDoc(url, javax.print.DocFlavor.URL.JPEG, null);
              //FileInputStream fin = new FileInputStream("IMG_0711.JPG");
              //Doc doc = new SimpleDoc(fin, DocFlavor.INPUT_STREAM.JPEG, null);
              job.print(doc, pras);
         } catch (IOException ie) {
              ie.printStackTrace();
         } catch (PrintException pe) {
              pe.printStackTrace();
         }

    I also ran into this problem recently and I think I've figured out basically what's happening. It only happens when the applet is served by Tomcat and certain other web application servers. When the applet is launched by a simple HTML page from a web server, it is able to print without any exceptions being thrown.
    In one of our applications, we have a servlet that downloads an applet to the client. When that applet calls 'PrinterJob.print', the JDK 1.4 implementation of that method on the client looks up the default 'PrintService'. To do so, it indirectly uses the class loader to get some optional configuration file (I don't know the details). That configuration file isn't in the applet's JAR file, so the class loader looks for it in the same place the JAR file came from: the server. Our servlet gets the request for the configuration file but the file isn't on the server either, so it returns a 404 error.
    Here's where things go wrong. If the 404 error were sent back correctly, printing would proceed normally since the configuration file is optional. However, instead of calling 'HttpServletResponse.sendError (SC_NOT_FOUND)', the servlet calls 'HttpServletResponse.setStatus (SC_NOT_FOUND)'. I'm not sure why, but this response isn't seen by the client as a 404 error, so the body of the response is treated as the configuration file. Parsing of the body fails and the 'ServiceConfigurationError' is thrown.
    We changed our servlet so that it calls 'sendError' and that fixed the 'ServiceConfigurationError' problem.
    Nobody has mentioned servlets (or JSPs) being involved in their situations, but maybe there is a similar root cause. If the server is somehow not returning a 404 response, the 'PrintService' code on the client will try to parse that response and throw an error.

  • Error reported from DirectoryService hangs syslog and computer

    I am getting an odd behaviour from my Mac. I recently had an issue with Eclipse and had to hard switch the computer, since it hang all the machine.
    When booting again, whenever I start Eclipse, I get the same behaviour. CPU gets high, to 80-90%, processes DirectoryService and mDNSResponder are the most active, and messages starts to run to the syslog. The message is:
    ++++++++++++++++++
    Dec 3 16:37:20: --- last message repeated 499 times ---
    Dec 3 16:37:20 machine DirectoryService\[ 11 \] : * process 11 exceeded 500 log

    It seems the dns service is not operating correctly, but I don't know the cause.

    Why is it related to Spotlight? From http://www.westwind.com/reference/OS-X/background-processes.html:
    DirectoryService: This process acts as a central clearinghouse for "Directory" information -- mainly users/groups/authentication, and service location (e.g. file servers, printers, etc). It gathers information from a variety of plugins (NetInfo, LDAP, Active Directory, NIS, Bonjour/Rendesvous/, AppleTalk, SMB) and hands it out to whatever program requested it.
    I am running Spotlight normally and I did'nt have this problem before. The problem should be something related to DNS, or the like, since mDNSresolver is also generating a lot of activity.
    I have 80 Gb free space in the disk.
    I have run Disk Utility/First Aid to check for errors and do repairs: no problem, no repairs.
    Let DirectoryService etc. run for a while when all is well to re-index for Spotlight: done
    Exclude any resources in System Prefs/Spotlight so that time isn't spent combing thru them: done.
    Nevertheless, I didn't use Eclipse for a while (these two months) and I almost forgot about the problem. Today, I have just open it again and again, the same problem.

  • FT232R from FTDI hangs/freeze LabVIEW randomly

    Hi.
    I've been creating a program to display and log humidity and temperature sensors using the FT232R chip from FTDI (http://www.ftdichip.com/)
    To build the DAQ.vi I've used the example 1 from FTDI which can be downloaded here: http://www.ftdichip.com/Support/SoftwareExamples/CodeExamples/LabVIEW.htm
    The DAQ.vi I'm having trouble with is attached here.
    What is happening is that from time to time (could take 10 minutes or could take 10 hours) the program suddenly hangs/freeze, and to solve it I have to diconnect and connect the USB-cable to the FT232R. When I have done so, the program starts working again, but I've lost all the data from the freeze-time.
    Have anyone else experienced this problem using FTDI chips, or have any idea what could be wrong? And is there an easy way to find out if the bug is hardware or software-related?
    I appreaciate the help!
    NB:I know the attached .vi doesn't have wait times between write and read, but I've been having the same problem when using wait times as well.

    In this topic we will discuss some of the common problems that have been observed using USB devices with LabVIEW on Windows operating systems.  Many of these points are also applicable to other environments but the examples will be use the Windows 7 OS.
    FAQ 1 : My USB device stops working unexpectedly.
    The first thing to look at is the OS power saving options.  There is a global trend towards developing "Green" electronics and energy star ratings are getting fairly common.  "If its not being used shut it off" is nothing new.  Cavemen learned how to bank a fire to preserve energy that would otherwise be wasted.  Likewise, the Windows OS has a power saving feature to shut down power to the USB hubs when no user activity is present.  In Automated systems this feature can cause problems since removing USB hub power will shut down the USB device.   Solution: Use the device manager to change the USB hub Power Options.
    FAQ2: I set the power options and my device connection is still unreliable: Remember, those computer USB ports are often the cheapest that can be mounted on the chassis and share the PC system power supply to supply USB Power. Most uses of USB are temporary connections like a thumb drive or a camera.  These connections do not require high reliability since the user is right there interacting with it.  Power surges and fault tolerance at worst cause the operator to retry the data transfer.  Automated systems require a bit more robustness.  Solutions:
    1) ALWAYS use an external self powered hub.  Perform your engineering due diligence and inspect the devices specifications too- If you can't find them for that device that should clue you to seek an product from a vendor that WILL publish their specs.
    2) High noise environments require the use of ferrites on the USB cable- and don't buy the cheapest cable either! The cheap ones are poorly shielded.
    3) PROTECT the HUB connections-  If you have a USB2.0 device and Joe User plugs in a 1.0 device in a open slot managed by the same hub- Bingo every port on the hub may back convert to USB1.0.  WORSE there are a lot of damaged or marginally engineered USB devices out there.  Joe User's device may cause power fluctuations when it is inserted or removed from the hub just don't let it happen!
    FAQ3: I am testing USB devices and the OS can't find them anymore.
    This is a Plug-n-Play feature that deserves some exposure.  When you connect a P-n-P device the OS remembers its serial number in a HKEY (Hive-Key) registry entry.  This is helpful when (for example) you want a specific instrument, Say an NI-USB-6008, to show up as a DAQmx Device with VISA Alias "MyDAQ1" every time it is plugged it.  On the other hand, If you want to test a line of USB-Serial converters this can be problematic since the P-n-P driver will mount the first serial number as "COM3" and the next as "COM4" add infinitum until the enumerator controller in the registry and VISA recognized aliases get used up.  Solution: Use the Windows registry API and the Hardware Configuration API in LabVIEW to clear unused VISA Aliases and HKEY entries.   Speak with your staff IT professional about HKEY structure and possible side effects before developing

  • Satelite L300-1AY recovery from DVD hangs at boot

    I'm trying to recover my system from the recovery discs.
    I created them from the Toshiba Vista install.
    Recovery worked for me before. But now there's just a black screen (and a reboot after some time).
    I gues it has to do with the harddisk partitions as I changed/removed the original ones.
    Do I need to make some partitions before I run recovery? Or should i remove them all before booting the recovery disc?
    Or do I need to do something to force the recovery disc to repartition my harddisk?

    Hi
    I assume you used the Toshiba Recovery disk creator to create a recovery disk is it right?
    Back to your question;
    The Recovery disk would format the HDD and would erase the partitions automatically so its no matter what and how many partitions have been created.
    But of course in some cases the recovery could hangs due to HDD issue
    Do you have an Win XP disk? If yes, try to boot from such disk and format the HDD again then use the Toshiba Recovery disk and try to install the Vista.
    Good luck

  • Par deploy from IDE hangs and causes Portal to crash

    Using the Netweaver 2004s SP7 Preview, on a Windows XP Pro machine, when I use the IDE's Quick Deploy on a Par, most of the time all works fine. But occasionally the deploy hangs in the Deploying Par stage. I have waited as long as an hour to make sure that it is hung. The IDE has to be stoped from Task Manager.
    At this point the portal no longer responds. Restarting the system results in the server0 never getting beyond the Starting Framework status.
    I found no errors in any logs after the hang or from the attempted restart.
    The only way to restart was to restore the file systems from a backup.
    Needless to say a three hour restore once or twice a day is very frustrating.
    Has anyone seen this behavior?

    Hi Antonio,
    A couple basic questions that may help us troubleshoot:
    1.) What version of LabVIEW are you using?
    2.) Are you able to deploy any code to the sbRIO? i.e. something even simpler than what you are already doing.
    3.) Have you ever been able to deploy code to this particular sbRIO?
    4.) Have you tried formatting and reinstalling the software?
    5.) What other troubleshooting steps have you tried?

    Hi all, new to the forums as i want to give Arch a go if i can get past this hanging problem. I created a bootable USB drive using the command - # dd bs=4M if=/path/to/archlinux.iso of=/dev/sdx in a terminal. (obviously changed parts of it as necessary.
    But when i boot from the USB it hangs at this point:
    Arch Linux 3.9.4-1-ARCH (tty1)
    arch iso Login: root (automatic login)
    Root@archiso~# [OK] started initialized pacman keyring
    [OK] Reached target multi-user system
    I left it for over 30mins and still stuck at that point any thoughts on what could be the problem and any solutions.
    currently running LMDE 15 cinnamon
    Any help would be appreciated
    thanks
    EDIT: Didnt explain it enough i basically cant type in any commands it just hangs there

    Did you validate the checksum of the ISO file that you downloaded? Does it boot and login successfully on another machine (if you have another to test it on)?

  • Dataload from legacy system to BW Server

    Requirements: We have different kind of legacy systems and SAP BW server. We want to load all legacy system data into SAP BW server using BAPI. Before loading we have to validate all data. If there are bad data, data missing we have to let the legacy system user/ operator knows to fix the data into their system with detail explanation. When it is fixed, we have to load the data again.
    Load Scenario: We have two options to load data from legacy systems to BW Server.
    1. We need to load data directly from legacy system to BW Server using BAPI program.
    2. Legacy Systems data would be in workstations or flash drive as .txt (one line separated by comma) or .csv file. Need to load from .txt /.csv file to BW Server using BAPI program.
    What we want in the BAPI program code?
    It will Read / Retrieve data from text / csv file and will put into the Internal table. Internal table structure would be based on BAPI InfoObject structure.
    Call BAPI InfoObject function module ‘BAPI_IOBJ_CREATE’ to create InfoObject, include all necessary / default components, do the error check, load the data and return the status.
    Could some one help me with the sample code please? I am new in ABAP / BAPI coding.
    Is there any other better idea to load data from legacy system to BW server? BTW we are using BW 3.10. Is there any better option with BI 7.0 to resolve the issue? I appreciate your help.
    Regards,
    Mau

    my answers:
    1. this is a scendario for a data push into SAP BW. You can only use SOAP-Based Transfer of Data.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/fd/8012403dbedd5fe10000000a155106/frameset.htm
    (here for BW 3.5, but you'll find similar for 7.0)
    In this scenario you'll have an RFC dinamically created for every Infosource you need to transfer data.
    2. You can make a chain for each data load, so you can call the RFC "RSPC_API_CHAIN_START" to start the chain from external.
    the second solution is more simply and available on every release.

  • DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR - while dataloading from PSA to InfoCube!

    Hi Friends,
    I know this topic has been posted before too and i have gone through almost all the threads related to this topic but could not find the solution for this issue. Here is the details:
    I am in Production and loading data to one the cube through PSA. Data comes fine till PSA (arround 1 million records). But when I am updating data to Infocube through DTP I am getting the following error:
    Dump: ABAP/4 processor: DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR
    when i click on the error it says the following:
    DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR
    CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
    An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
    The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB'
    According the previous threads on this issue its a Table space issue in Database. But I am sure its not table space issue as my other loads are successfull with much more number of records. I checked in DB02 too and see no problem with the table space.
    I tried selective loading through DTP and my data load was successfull. But this is not the way we want to load the data. we dont want to give any selections in InfoPacakge.
    I tried to see in ST22 and see the following dumps:
    CONNE_IMPORT_WRONG_COMP_TYPE    CX_SY_IMPORT_MISMATCH_ERROR
    OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED
    CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL
    DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR
    CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
    DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR
    CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
    I tried to delete infocube index first before load from PSA. but it did not work for me.
    i would highly appriciate any help from ur side and will awarded with points.
    Thanks,
    Manmit

    Thanks Srinivas. I can not reduce the package size because i am loading data from PSA to InfoCube through DTP. This DTP is created upon a data source which is a genereted export datasource i.e. <b>8XYZABC</b> which does not allow me to change the package size and this is decided at run time. I can see the following under the Extraction Tab of DTP :
    <b>The package size corresponds to package size in source.
    It is determined dynamically at runtime.</b>
    Any idea how to solve this prob?

  • Dataload from R/3 is incomplete in BW

    hello all,
    In R/3 we have shipment history for plants and materials. This is loaded in BW and updated with a delta.
    However when we checked in the BW (in cube , ODS & in PSA) and compared with R/3, lot of deliveries are missing in BW .There is a problem in Delivery cube it seems some of the deliveries are missing in the cube. The deliveries are also missing in the PSA.
    Anyone has any tips for me, where can I go look for what is causing this to happen?

    Hi again,
    normally you cant edit the selections for content datasources, but here is a info from the system:
    Data from DataSource 2LIS_12_VCITM has been extracted using function module MCEX_BW_LO_API. If you edit and save the DataSource by maintaining generic extraction, extraction no longer takes place using this function module, but is performed by a database view, a transparent table, a functional area of SAP query, or a self-defined extraction module.
    If 2LIS_12_VCITM is included in the deliverd SAP Content, you can activate extraction using function module MCEX_BW_LO_API again by transferring this Content with transaction RSA5 or the IMG.
    Hope this helps, best regards
    Frank
