DataLoading in QA system after Refresh !!

Hello Experts,
we had a refresh last week and now we need to full load data to QA system cubes. I am new to bw loading and needs to understand how this process works.
I have been told to delete old request and start full load, is it enough ? How to load full load data ? How to delete delta setups ? Do we need some update in ECC ? Is there any best practices or Checklist ? Please provide general step by step procedure, to load full data to DSO after Refresh (from ecc to bw).
Please share you knowledge and experience.

You will not achieve guidance on a forum to what is a very specific business process that is unique to each business. Find a mentor in your firm and learn from them how they do it.
Every firm handles their data loads differently. They may use similar processes, but there will be enough unique settings that a general tutorial will cause you problems. For example:
My company uses process chains. But many infocubes use delta processes. To restart the delta is a grossly manual process, and requires execution of a program to 'clean up' the delta. (OSS note 852443).
This is just one of the possibilities.
Good luck. The lengthy journey to knowledge is the more worthy one.

Activitis in satellite Systems after Refresh

In our landscape we have Three system in which Quality system is refreshed every third month with Production system.Now issue is we have completed solman implementation in this landscape with these three systems as satellaite and system refresh needs to be done next week.
Now I want to know what activities i should in quality so that it could work properly after refresh in solman like in system montoring,service desk and all activities.
Users and RFC's will be saved by exporting them.Now except it what should be done.

Our experience was that there were usually problems with the connections with Solution Manager, even if they were saved and restored. The best approach we found was after the system refresh, we would delete the generated RFC's and user-id's in the SolMan system and in the QA system. We would also delete the entries for the systems in transaction SMT1. Then, we would go back to transaction SMSY and regenerate the RFC connections. Afterward, the configuration in STMS would be checked and redistributed across the transport domain.

Interface not working properly after Reciever system R3 refresh

Hello All,
We have an sender interface (JDBCSenderCod) for which there are two reciever systems(R3--RP1 & RY1).Two days back there was system refresh perfomed from RP1 (Live production) to RY1(test system).After that for only one system RP1 the message is recieved success and for the rest RY1 it is getting failed.
But if we manually resend the failed message(RY1) from RWB it is getting success.
This is repeating daily(from past two days).
Can any one help me out from this scenario

Hello Naveen as per suggestion i checked ,but i found nothing in wrong..
The said interface should execute once in daily, and when I saw the logs for yesterday(19th), it showed only 1 message displayed success for Reciever system RP1(Live Production).But for the other reciever system RY1(Branched) of that particular sender interface doesn't show any log either success nor failed.
When I checked in CC monitoring for that particular reciever channel(RFCRecieverR3 (RY1)) ,it shows the log but I am unable to trace the problem..
here is the log:

After refresh I would like to get my system back.

After refresh required when system would not come out of repair after allowing 2 HP epdates--- I have lost most software and would like to get my system back. I have a windows.old directory with about 24 days left before it self destructs.
How can I use this to get back to a useful machine?
I have backed up My Documents etc on Nero backup but that is one of the programs knocked over by the refresh.

What is the deal with System Reset/Refresh in Windows 8.1?

Either this is a serious defect with the Windows Store-provided update for Windows 8.1 or Microsoft has done this intentionally but doing an update to Windows 8.1 from the Windows Store-provided service nukes your ability to use System Reset/Refresh.
It claims files are missing which means that the update erased the necessary reset files from the HDD but didn't replace them during the update with Windows 8.1 compatible equivalents.
I had to do a System Reset on one of my computers and I ended up having to get a Windows 8.1 ISO from a less than reputable source just to get my hands around the necessary missing file and now I can't even activate it with my Windows 8 Pro upgrade
key. None of this would have been a problem if I could just perform the System Reset in place on Windows 8.1 and reset it back to a neutral, clean Windows 8.1 installation.
I've since managed to find a way to do the install the way I needed to but can someone please give me some clarity on this subject so I don't have to go through all this again (as I've got two other computers that run a Windows Store-updated Windows 8.1
installation and at least one of them is probably due for its own System Refresh)? What can I do to refresh a valid Windows 8.1 installation if I need to?
EDIT: Oh, and one more thing: one of those computers is an OEM-installed Windows 8 copy that was subsequently upgraded to 8.1 yet it too suffers from the "missing files" error when a System Refresh/Reset is requested. What
am I supposed to do here if I want to do a System Refresh to this computer? Will the OEM key inside it activate if I go outside the operating system to install it anew?

First, you perform a System Refresh for what ever reason. After the Refresh, within a few minutes get the Windows version watermark in the lower left corner of your desktop that shows the windows version and build. Then after that
you get another watermark above the first watermark that says you need to activate by going to **Change PC Settings***. From there you are on the activation screen and its state with out doing anything...**Activation Error Description Not Found.**
When you click "Activate Now" nothing happens. You briefly see "checking this key" and then nothing.
This is where the above mentioned Software Protection service is failing. <--- Needs to be fixed.
Now at this point I cannot attempt to do an online activation because the sppsvc.exe is producing the 0xC0000022 error
I cannot do a phone activation because there is no installation ID...all the boxes are blank...because the sppsvc.exe is producing the 0xC0000022 error.
Oh, and I cannot re-type my product key because...you got it...because the sppsvc.exe is producing the 0xC0000022 error.....
The Software Protection service runs when I activate my PCs that are getting a "Clean" installs, Just to test the theory I did a refresh install on the "clean" installed pc and **VOILA** SAME ERROR....
Let me clarify that one of the PCs has a dual partition and a complete re-install of the OS will mean some extensive work fixing the bootloader as well. I have 150 PCs to refresh and this is what happened on the first one, then the 2nd. I am
running these on a TechNet VL and have never had these issues in the last 3 years.
Listen to these people. ALL are having the same issue. There has to be a process to fix it. As difficult as it may seem, some of us don't mind spending a few extra minutes running administrative tasks to fix this instead of re-installing.
That's the novice way to fix the issues and the most painstaking for those of us who work 12-to 14 hrs a day and don't have the time. We need this fixed. PLEASE PLEASE
Pretty please. Please take the time to take ownership of this issue and pioneer a real fix for the hundreds maybe thousands that are having or have had (broke down and did a "clean" install) this EXACT issue. Thank you so much for your help!!!!!

Table not showing data after refresh

A unique problem We have added a field in the custom table . once moved to quality system it is not showing up the data whwn when we do a select query on that table in se16 . say total entries are ten thousand four of them are checked and when display not checked i.e eq space we get just 100 entries on number of entries ..i asked to regenerate the table in quality system but it did not help .The Quality system was refresh 1 month ago and we see it not working after it ..please suggest the correct steps we need to perform to recover the data . Adjust database with keep data has already been done ...

If I understand well, your issue is that you have a SELECT in your program, saying newfield is your newfield, something like:
SELECT ... FROM ztable INTO ... WHERE newfield = space.
and it doesn't return the records that existed in quality before newfield was added.
It it because, by default, when you add a field to an existing database table, with records already present, they are assigned the NULL value, which is different from space.
They can be retrieved using WHERE newfield IS NULL.
Usually, to avoid this issue, when we add a new field, we tick the "no null value" checkbox for this new field, in SE11 transaction. That will initialize the field of existing records, to the initial value (space for characters, 0 for numeric fields, etc.) Note: maybe it can be counter performant for big tables...
Solution for your issue, run this code once:
UPDATE ztable SET newfield = space WHERE newfield IS NULL.

I use a poll to refresh tables continuously. when a table is refreshed, the current referring row is reset.
To maintain the current row position after a refresh I use the following poll method.

I have an association in two VOs.
for example: There are 2 tables called Emp and Dept. Every Department has Employees. so there is an association (both tables have a common column). Master table is the Dept table. when you click on one record of the Dept table Detail table will show the details of the employees belongs to that selected department. That's what I referred as master-detail tables. first one is master table; second one is detail table.
When the web page loads all the table data is not fetched from the db (it will depend on the fetch size). when we scroll down the table data fetch happens again and again.
think my data fetch size is 25 rows per time.
Suppose we use mine poll method and think I have clicked on the 20 ^th^ row of table1(master table). then the table2 will display details belongs to selected department. that is OK even after refresh. that works well.
when I go to 30 ^th^ row data fetch will happen (my fetch size = 25)
when I click on the 30 ^th^ row of the table1(master table), table2 will display details belongs to selected department. but after the poll method is called the selected row at the table1 disappears and is set to another position. now the 30 ^th^ row is not in the 30 ^th^ position. but it is the selected row and table2 displays correct details.
I think you have got the problem now. :D

RFCs not working after Refresh, is this SecureStore issue?

In our landscape we do frequent system refreshes (DB copy). we use to take out RFC table export and then import them back after refresh. every thing was fine till we upgraded to Netweaver 6.0. Now after refresh most of rfc donesn't work (one which have user ID/ Password in them).
Here is my findings till now:
When we goto SM59 and RFC maintenance screen it give below message:

When I check the note it talk about the system copy and migration key, release key. I don't think this is valid in our case.
Now I tried to find out the tables where secstore stores its data:
RSECACHK    Table for Controlling ABAP Programs
RSECACTB     Table for ABAP Access Authorization for Secure Memory
RSECTAB       Secure Memory: Memory for Encrypted Data
At present we backup following tables:
rfcattrib
rfcdes
rfcdoc
rfcsysacl
Please advise if anybody faces the same issue? does anybody have any solution any notes?

I checked all the notes and tables. every thing is correct.
What I think wrong is when we do refresh at that time. SS (secure store) tables from source system come here! we just export and import RFCs but not SS.
All I wanted to know is If we export and import SS tables will this resolve our issue?
can you tell me have you ever did refresh for netweaver? did you face this issue?

500 Internal server error when loging in to Enterprise portal after refresh

We had a data base refresh of test system with production data. After the refresh, when users are trying to log in to portal test server, they are getting error as follows:

Do you have the specific error message that the system shows when SSO is not working?
e.g. The system has received an expired SSO ticket
       Issuer of SSO ticket is not authorized
Did you do a connection test for your system connector?
You might want to check the following:
1. Time difference between portal server and ECC server
2. Parameters (e.g. login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1) in ECC have the correct value
3. User account that you are using for testing exists and is valid in ECC.
4. Portal certificate is still valid and has been added into certificate list and ACL of your ECC client (with the right SID and client number).
5. System connector settings in portal are correct.

System Information Refresh

Hello, all
Q - Does the Air's "Refresh Information" for 3rd Party installations rely upon the latter's timely information refreshing? (An aside - Yes, I must update my Product Information!)
Adobe flash player's December version 11.9.900.170 automatically installed and operating correctly. Delay in Air's System Information Refreshing. I tried "Refresh Information", but this had no apparent effect. October Adobe version still listed.
Mid 2011 Air 10.8.5 32-Bit Chrome Default browser.

Missing files in Windows.old folder only 3 days after refreshing Win 8

The only folder in there is the Users folder. All other folders are gone. This is only 3 days after refreshing so it should be deleting anything. Anyway i can recover the files?

Please check if it's hidden:
Control Panel, Folder Options, View Tab, Check mark Show Hidden Files & Folders, Uncheck Hide protected Operating System Files and check show hidden files, folders and drivers.
If it still disappear, it should be permanently deleted. You need to ask for some professional recovery company to get the data.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP ENVY dv7 Notebook and getting a screen on startup at 0%. Try performing a hard reset. When performing a hard reset please note remove any and all USB devices, and remove memory cards from the card reader slot. Disconnect all non-essential devices. If that does not help try to turn on the computer you start to press F11 repeatedly till the menu opens. You can do a system restore.

Own fields on workbook lost after refreshing

Hi,
I have a query created with cell editor (fixed number of rows and columns).
In result area, at excel level, I have put my own rows to put headers with different colors, and some rows to make my own calculations.
In query properties, I have unmarked "Adjust formatting after refreshing".
At query level, in query properties I have also unmarked this flag.
In query properties I have only marked:
- Suppress repeated values
- Enable interactive functions
- Refresh query when opening woorkbook.
I have used it in other systems and it worked ok, so I don't understand this behaviour.
I am using BW3.5 and my BEx Analyzer version is 3.0B Patch 15 (last one).
Any idea?

Please check the query, which you have used to create wirkbook, and the query may contain variable or restricted key figure or may be cube has not data on which query is build.

Perform subroutine not linking to function after refresh from QAS to DEV

Hi all,
Recently, basis did a refresh from QAS to DEV.
After the refresh, all my programs with perform subroutine statement cannot find the subroutine even though all my subroutines are in the source code itself.
May i know what is the problem that has caused this to happen? It is quite rare to find this problem and i am in a stuck situation right now.

I may not be right but whenever you create a perform subroutine and double click system generates few comments and form and endform that is linkage .
What if feel when system was refresh the linkage is disconnected though the code is there .
Then the best option would be to reactivate the program .

Can't log on to my user account after refreshing lenovo ideapad u310.

I was having a problem with my network connection where it worked for the desktop but not for any apps that require the network so i started to refresh my laptop to reset anything that i may have downloaded that was affecting it. By refreshing it it removed my update to 8.1 which i was aware of before i started to refresh the laptop. Now when it asks for my microsoft account password and i enter in my CORRECT password it says that it is incorrect. I have even tried to enter my pin that i had on the laptop along with the actual account password and it just says it is an old pin and that i have to enter the new one. I never replaced it and am assuming that refreshing the laptop caused somekind of replacment of pin. But how do i recover access to my laptop? It wont allow me in without a pin or password...

Hi jenaS, sorry to hear that you're havig an issue after refresh of the system, if ur logged in using a live account it shouldnt change or remove the pin, if you are usin a local account the issue there might be in the profile on the system it might be corrupted, do you have a screen shot of the issue?
