Dataloading Status

Hi,
The dataloading overall status is in Yellow, but in the ODS it is green and all the datapackages are processed.And after completion of this load, I have to start another infopackage.
So, I started another InfoPackage(independent selection to first infopackage).
But I didn't understand why the overall status is in yellow?And is it correct to start the next Infopackage?

It generally happens if the ODS activation is going on.......
Are u loading the DSO through a process Chain...if yes...........then check the Status of ODS activation step after that..........
If not......go to RSA1..........there check the setting of the ODS.....whether Set quality status to 'OK' automatically and Activate ODS object data automatically is selected or not...............if selected it means that data will get activated automatically after loading...........
Right click on the ODS >> Manage >> there in the Requests tab ......check Whether ID Request in Generated with Activation field............it should contain some value............also go to the Content Tab >> There click on New Data( Activation Queue)............if that table contains 0 records..........it means Activation is done............if not........it means Activation is going on.......

Report names in AL11

Hi, Please give me solution for the following....
1. where can I find the table which is having daily dataloads status, i.e. I want to know the load is sucess or failed?. If success how many records update to cube.
2. I'm running RSCRM_BAPI and dumpig the Reports into Application Server (AL11), I wanto dump the reports based on daywise like.
SOH07112008
SOH08112008
i.e. I want to give file name called SOH + date, I know that in description we can give Text variable with customer exit then we get date, but in Technical name I want Date like above.
3.Totally I have 4 dataloads through process chain only and if any one of the dataload failed I don't want to update the files in Application server i.e. don't want to run RSCRM_BAPI.
Here the importency is for FIle name + date SOH07112008 (it means Stock on Hand on 07-11-2008).
I want to trigger mail in each stage.
i.e. Dataloads, RSCRM_BAPI triggered or not?. and files updated in AL11 or not?
How can I do it.

How can dump the report in AL11 based on date, i.e. I want to SOH07112008 like that, dynamically need to change the data at the end of SOH, because I don't want to overwrite files in AL11, I want to keep files for one week.

Dataload yellow status

Hi
I experience a strange problem in data loading. I ran a chain which consists of many IPs. The first IP is still in Yellow status even though there is no data coming in. The display msg states the variant has ended with errors. But by searching through the Process monitor for any data, I find that there is no data at all. I am not sure of what to do.... Please suggest another way of finding any data.

Dataload Yellow Status in DSO

Hi All,
We are having an issue with Infopackage request (QM Status) remains in Yellow status in the Target Admin of DSO but in fact it actually has failed (Red in Process Monitor). This happens when the Integrity Check is turned ON for infoobjects in the Transfer Rules and the records doesnu2019t exist in the master data. The Status should turn into Red instead of remaining in Yellow.
Due to this, the triggered Process Chain will skip this request and shows Green status (zero records transferred to upper layer DSO). The user might think that the data is available for reporting because the Process Chain is in Green status.
The reason why we are using an Infopackage/3.x Datasource/ Transfer Rules (instead of DTP/ Transformation) is because the source system is BODI. (BO Data Services)
I tried changing some setting i.e. the Error Handling and Traffic Light setting of the Infopackage but it still wouldnu2019t work.
My take is that the referential integrity checking in 3.5 Transfer Rule may have some bugs compared to 7.0 Transformation. I did a test using 7.0 Tansformation and DTP (from flat file source) and it works fine. But we canu2019t use this method because our source system is BODI. (3.x Datasource)
Any help appreciated and thanks in advance.

maybe it's bug, maybe not...but you can however mix 3.5 and bi7 within the same flow. you can load in 3.5 to a first layer dso (edwl) and then do a bi7 load to the next level. you can do the integrity check at this level.

Dataload problem in Ouline having duplicate members enabled

I have changed the 'Duplicate member name allowed' option in an essbase Outline properties from 'false' to 'true' in ver 9.3.1. Now, when I am going to load data through SQL rule file, then it is showing following errors--
ODBC Layer Error: Native Error code [936]
Failed to Establish Connection With SQL Database Server. See log for more information
Transaction [ 0x280001( 0x4905b7d3.0x1e848 ) ] aborted due to status [1021001]
and nothing is being loaded. The same SQL script is running fine in SQL Plus. Suppose, Outline has 3 dimentions as follows ------

Category---Cat A
X(duplicate member-child of cat A)

X(duplicate member- child of cat B)

Accounts---- Counts
Amounts
in sql script, data is retrieved as

(where 50 is counts and 100 is data of Amounts)
Is any changes is required for the aforesaid outline property changes? How essbase handle the matter internally?
Can anyone give me an illustrative example about how to handle dataload as well as Data retrieve part as far as Duplicate member option enabled Outline is concerned? Is there anything we will need to take into mind related to that?
As the option has newly came in ver 9 and not there in the previous essbase versions, so it is a little bit confusing. Please elaborate accordingly.

To ensure duplicate member outline hierarchies are built correctly, use qualified member names in data source or use the rules files to construct qualified member names from fields in the data source
Example:-
suppose we have this data set-
West India Delhi 12344
West India Bangalore 46544
East "New york" "New york" 126787
Here I am using the RULE FILE to construct qualified member names--
Step 1:- Create the additional TEXT fields, create one field each for the
following text elements-
Step 2:- Using the MOVE operation, move the fields to the following sequence:
1 . .2 . .3 . .4 ..5 ... 6 . 7 . . . 8
[   west ].[ India ].[ Delhi ] 12344
step 3:- Using JOIN operation, join together fields 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 to create a
signle field as
1     .     . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2
[west].[India].[Delhi] 12344
OR
you should specified the full qualified name in your DATA SOURCE.

Automated reporting on dataloads for end-users

Dear forumers,
we are on BI 70
we are looking for a way to provide our endusers with a report/query, whichs shows the status of dataloads in each cube.
On forums I have found some tips on using the table RSREQDONE. Based on requests in this table, one should be able to provide a list with the number of records, start/stop times. When you create an infoSetQuery on this, it can give you some data.
But we load based on Process Chains, and we want to show the success or failure of each process chain, and show the date/time when this was completed. And we use DTP's for some of our loads, so no InfoPackages overall.
BTW: the technical status in a query on a multiProvider is not very helpfull, as this only shows the oldest data load from all underlying infoproviders; when one is a History cube which is updated once in the past, no usefull data here shown...
has someone looked into this as well? does someone have some tips, advice pointers for getting such a end-user usable query on data status?

You can build a query based on cube 0TCT_MC12. This will give you a status per process chain:
green yellow or red.
So in the query you put the process chain, date & the status.

QM & Technical Status are RED thouh request is running

I have one request which is running even now-- (load to ODS)
in the monitor the request is running but in the manage tab of the data target both traffic lights of technical And QM status were RED!
Before the load was scheduled i had changed the ODS settings to see the QM status automatically and activate the ODS data data automatically.
This is very huge dataload and if there is anything wrong then i need to change it immedietly ! it takes nearly 40 hours to finsih this load--
Should there anything to change or is it OK?

In General the moment you made the Qm status to RED it is
automatically stop all the related jobs or process in some
pecular cases you to kill the process via SM 50 . Just conatc t
your BASIS people immdeiately on this and ask themn to kill
the process related to the request.
And do the rest of the process like deltion of the request or
what ever...

Request Status Differs in RSMO and Data target

Hi,
I have a master data full load . it strucked in trfc and i cleared it manually in sm58.
The request in RSMO turns to Green automatically,but the datatarget in status tab it shows in red.
Why is this behavior and how to rectify it

Hi,
As the dataload did not get complete because of data getting stuck in SM58, the datatarget monitor would get changed to red automatically once the expiry time for dataload completion is reached.
After this, you would have cleared the SM58 by executing LUWs in it. Because of it, RSMO would be showing green whereas datatarget is still red.
Just check in the datatarget monitor whether any data has got loaded. If yes, then turn the status manually to green and activate the dataload. It would not give any issues.

Issue about Automated Process Traffic light status

Hi experts,
In our system(BW 3.1), we found sth interesting. The automated data load finished. But when monitoring the status using T-code RSMO, we found some traffic lights are set to red. The reason for red light is timeout.
I figure: There is sth such as 'finish flag' for the traffic light to turn green, but after the dataload finished, the system didn't get it, so it waited till timeout.
I am not sure of it, and can't find any material about it.
Could anyone help me to explain this phenomenon?

Hi,
Data will always be loaded into the cube irrespective of the traffic light status. Whether the load is in the cube or no, depends on the processing stage at which it has failed. You can see this in the monitor.
Goto the details tab. There are multiple headings like Extraction, Transfer, Processing.
Extraction and transfer are related to how the data is brought into the system. Processing is when the data is actually loaded somewhere either PSA or infoprovider or both depending on your processing type set in the infopackage.
In your process chain, various processes are triggered depending on the type of link maintained in between two processes. These are of 3 types 1) Successful 2) Failed 3) Always .
If the 1st one is selected, then the chain will move forward, if the previous step is green, 2nd case, if it is red and the 3rd one always.
Regarding why the status are not being updated, check where the load is yellow. If it is transfer, then possiblities are that IDOcs are'nt being set properly, if it is a custom datasource with function module check whether the NO_MORE_DATA exception is being raised properly.
Also check whether there are any short dumps in the source system or the BW system

Data Load with warnings, but dataload.err empty

laoding data on EAS Console for a Essbase database gives below message:
Database has been cleared before loading.
dataload.err is EMPTY.
Any ideas??
Some data is loaded but how can I find out where it stopped or is all my data loaded?

Hi,
There is nothing much you can say whether the data is completely loaded or not. You have to check by yourself on that.
Since the loading was aborted with a warning, it could be a network issue..
Try to load a small file and then check whether you are facing the problem or you coulfd also post your finding on that..

Loading Error from CRM datasource - Info Idoc recieved with status 8

We have a CRM datasource 0CRM_SALES_ACT_1 which works well from source in RSA3. The dataload is a full and fetches 19,000 records from CRM
However when we load it from an infopackage from BW it gives us the following "No data in source sysetm" Info Idoc with status 8. We have tried the following to eleminate some doubts
1) Checked the connection in SM59 using aleremote .Connection and authorization successful. Also loaded data in the BW system for other datasources from same CRM system it works well, so no authorization/ connections issues.
2) In the source system CRM tried transaction RSA3--> extract data get 19000 records
3) In the source system CRM Triied transaction RSA3--> Import Request from BW --> successful.
4) Checked the TRFC queue in SM58 the TRFC queue is empty
5) When we check the logs in CRM for ALEREMOTE we get the following message

Any ideas for a status or "at a glance" splash screen / presentation?

This is an idea I've been tossing around and wanted to know if there was something easy out there that would accomplish this...
I'd like to mount a monitor in one of our common areas for the management team and have it display current statuses of some of our IT features/services and maybe quick bits on what we are currently working on, major issues, etc...
I've seen some company lobbies with similar setups that display company-wide information, weather, etc.. so I know the capability is out there but I don't know squat regarding what that would entail. The easier, the better, naturally... as I don't want this to turn into an entire job position updating it, haha. But something that I could hopefully remotely update would be nice.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Purchase order status open

Hi Experts,
Due to some other reasons we tried clear GR/IR clearing a/c. i will explain clearly.
We have some purchase orders pertaining to 2006 year. we have not done MIGO and we did MIRO, So that we could not able to clear GR/IR A/C. SO, we have posted manual entry with fb50 same as MIGO posting then we cleared both documents with f-03 its done every thing was fine now But if we see purchase order report status showing OPEN
How to change the status please some one let me know.this is high priority issue.

First make sure that you will not receive goods against your PO..Then go to me22n and delete the item in your PO.
This will resolve your issue.
