Datamasking

Hi all,
I know that with ODI i can create modules to execute transformations to the data "simulating" a data masking...
But is there some development already doing something like a data masking???
If i want to create a module to do that function, is there any suggestion about reuse of modules??? or logic that can make the thing easier in the development??
Thanks!!!

We are starting to look at options around Datamasking
within Peoplesoft. I was wondering if anyone had any
experiences they could share or insight into
products.
We use SQL Server 2000 on Tools 8.20/8.44 for
HCM/FSCM and Portal.
Appreciate replies.I think the lack of responses means we do not understand clearly your question.
Do you mean database encryption?
Individual datafield encryption?
Access rights?
Or?
Cheers
Peter

  • Data Masking Pack in Oracle 11g

    Hello,
I'm trying to evaluate the data masking functionality of Oracle on either 10g or 11g database.
Can anyone tell me what should be installed to reach this funcionality?
    Thank you in advance,
    Luka

I guess you meant this one,
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/11gr1_db/security/datamask/datamask.htm
Thsi pack is a part of EM suite. So you need to download the EM to use it.

  • What is the Best way to extract a subset of data from a Production database

    Hi,
One of our cleint want to to extract a subset of data from a Production databases in order to build a dev or test database. Since it is a banking sector they do not want to clone the db.
Can anybdoy suggests any tool or any info
    Regards
    Manoj

DataBee is one option. Depending on circumstances, you may also want their DataMasker utility in addition...
Of course, depending on your particular system and your particular requirements, this sort of thing can rather quickly get quite complicated since you may need very particular types of subsets of data...

  • Is there any script to scrabble the salary information in oracle apps HCM.

    Hi Maya,
We've used a tool called Data Masker (http://www.datamasker.com/) to mask our entire eBusiness Suite database in order to make the environment suitable for training and offshore development (financials, hcm, iproc, etc) - there's an evaluation copy of the website if you want to give that a go, in the background it's just using SQL scripts to manipulate the data.
If you just wanted to scrabble the Salary information (grades & spinal points / salary?) a couple of API's would probably be sufficient (HR_ASSIGNMENT_API.update_emp_asg_criteria, HR_SP_PLACEMENT_API.update_spp), or if you're not concerned with keeping the instance supported by Oracle then a few direct table updates to fiddle the information around (PER_PAY_PROPOSALS, PER_SPINAL_POINT_PLACEMENTS_F, etc).

hello jan, please go to ''firefox > addons > extensions'' & remove the ''Addons Engine 3.0.1 & DataMask by AOL 5.6.0.8734'' entries (they are rather unusual and are likely malicious). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and run a full scan of your system with different other security tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes] & [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner].
