Datapump: cloning schema, target has multiple size. How to solve?
Hi all,
I am quite unfamiliar with dataump - i've used imp / exp before.
Now I need to clone a schema and have to remap the tablespaces. The forum advised me to use datapump but now I have some problems with it:
source schema name: DEV_6
target schema name: TESTUSER
I checked the size of the schemas with the following statement:
select owner, sum(bytes)/1024/1024 tsize
from dba_segments
group by owner
order by tsize desc;
My source (DEV_6) has the size of 4GB.
After importing the target (TESTUSER) has a size of more than 32GB (import is still running)
I exported the schema with following statement:
expdp DIRECTORY=DATA_PUMP_DIR DUMPFILE=DEV_6.expdp LOGFILE=DEV_6_exp.log SCHEMAS=DEV_6
For importing and remapping schema and tablespace I used the following statement:
impdp LOGFILE=TESTUSER_imp.log REMAP_TABLESPACE='AMES_DEV_PERM':'TESTUSER_PERM','DEV_TRUNK_DATA_XXL':'TESTUSER_PERM' REMAP_SCHEMA='DEV_6':'TESTUSER' SCHEMAS='DEV_6' DIRECTORY=DATA_PUMP_DIR DUMPFILE=DEV_6.expdp
We are using 11.2.0.1.
Any ideas how to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Andreas

Hi,
I think I found the problem:
The definition of the tablespaces differs:
TABLESPACE_NAME BLOCK_SIZE INITIAL_EXTENT NEXT_EXTENT MIN_EXTENTS MAX_SIZE ALLOCATION_TYPE
TABLESPACE_ORG 8192 65536 null 1 null SYSTEM
TABLESPACE_NEW 8192 131072000 131072000 1 2147483645 SYSTEM

Hello, I just got an iPhone 4S and it seems that the bluetooth function in it doesn't work. I tried few times to pair it to other non Apple phones but it never worked. Does anyone has an idea how to solve the problem? Tks.
This is not a feature of iPhone, iPad or iOS.
Bluetooth is supported for stereo headsets/speakers, handsfree telephone
devices/headsets, some keyboards, some peer-to-peer apps from the
app store and internet tethering where provided by the carrier.
Other than this it will not connect to a phone/computer/device. (thanks to ckuan for the wording) -

BtITunes PlugIn Dll has stopped working
how to solve that issue plsThe following document might be worth a try:
iTunes: Troubleshooting issues with third-party iTunes plug-ins -
Tech support seemed to understand the question but had no answer. Why would an album with only one artist show the artist but an album with multiple artist not show any of them. The album art show various in iTunes. That makes sense but on my iPod I would expect to see all artists.
Wish I did. I tried the group function but that didn't help in iTunes. The search function is the best I came up with. I can answer the question do you have susch and such artist. But I can't browse for an artist I don't remember exactly or have misspelled. Fortunately I don't think I've bought anything from iTunes that i already had. If you can't see an artist it's possible you think you don't have something you actually do have. Sorry, still hoping for a better work around or better yet a fix.

When a contact has multiple numbers, how can I tell which one called me?
For example, if a single contact entry has a "home" number and a "mobile" number, there seems to be no intuitive way to tell which one called me from the iOS 7 phone app--only the contact name is listed on the Recents screen, and the info button for the call shows all the numbers for that contact.
I've done extensive searching, and though I found some people asking the same question, I couldn't find any answers! I could wait and examine my phone bill statement, but I don't think it shows the incoming number... I figure there must be a way, because clearly my phone knows the specific number!When I look at calls in my Recents list, there are two lines. The top line is the contact name, the second line is the listing from my contacts that indicates the label for the number the call came from. If that is not enough, then you can tap on the at the end of the listing which brings you to the individual contact. The number you received the call from will be in a different color than the other numbers. In mine it is in blue. This is just like the information provided in the earlier part of this thread.

Very large bdump file sizes, how to solve?
Hi gurus,
I currently always find my disk space is not enough, after checking, it is the oraclexe/admin/bdump, there's currently 3.2G for it, my database is very small, only holding datas of 10mb.
It didn't happen before, only currently.
I don't know why it happened, I have deleted some old files in that folder, but today I found it is still very large compare to my database.
I am running an apex application with xe, the applcaitions works well, we didn't see anything wrong, but only the bdump file very big.
any tip to solve this? thanks
here comes my alert_xe.log file content:

HT1491 my ipad has been diabled, how to solve this
i cannot used my ipad the message was IPAD IS DISABLED? WHAT I AM GOING TO DO?
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup).
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.
You may have to force iPad/iPod into Recovery Mode

Norton won't let me update Minefield 'Threat has been detected' How to solve this?
I am not able to update Minefield, Norton (from Symantec) will delete the following: updater.exe
== This happened ==
Every time Firefox opened
== Every update ==
== User Agent ==
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; en-US; rv:1.9.3a5pre) Gecko/20100506 Minefield/3.7a5preHello Touan.
That is yet another false positive from Norton. Just temporarily disable it while you're updating. -

How to solve parameter passing problem?
I have a report that can be place on any Portal page and it requires several parameters.
The report is based on a query:
select bldgname
from building
where (bldcntry = :cntry or :cntry is null) and
(bldstate = :state or :state is null) and
(bldcity = :city or :city is null)
The LOVs for the bind variables need to be linked, i.e. State LOV is function of Cntry LOV and city LOV is function of both cntry LOV and state LOV.
I can't use the Customization screen because it doesn't allow linked LOVs.
I can't use a master detail form because I would have to create a table consisting of the 3 bind variables, M/D forms don't work with views. Since this is just one of 60 reports I have to do, it would mean adding 60 of these pseudo tables.
I was thinking of placing a form, which can have linked LOVs, on the same page as the report, and then calling the page and passing the values of the LOV to three page parameters. Unfortunately, I need to dynamically determine the url of the page the report and form are on and p_page_url doesn't seem to be accessible from a form, although it is from a report, I have a TAR on this issue.
So I wonder if anyone has an idea how to solve this problem?
LarryHi,
Try calling the report from the success procedure of the form
Here is an example which calls the report from the success procedure of the form.
declare
flightno number;
ticketno varchar2(30);
blk varchar2(10) := 'DEFAULT';
l_url varchar2(2000);
begin
flightno := p_session.get_value_as_varchar2(
p_block_name => blk,
p_attribute_name => 'A_FLIGHT_NO');
ticketno := p_session.get_value_as_varchar2(
p_block_name => blk,
p_attribute_name => 'A_TICKET_NO');
l_url := 'http://domain/pls/reportname.show?p_arg_names=flightno&p_arg_values='||flightno||'&p_arg_names=ticketno&p_arg_values='||ticketno;
call(l_url);
end;

Our home network has multiple devices connected by iCloud: 2 iMacs, 2 iPhone 4s, 1 MacPro Laptop, and 1 iPad 2. When using Calendar, all the events were
duplicated on my husbands iMac. On his computer, under Calendar accounts, I had included iCloud and also my iCloud ID. I thought that because I had two accounts listed that were connected to iCloud, that might be the cause of the duplication. When I deleted ithe calendars from one of the accounts, it resulted
in deleting all of the events on all of our network devices!
I have since entered some new events into Calendar from my iMac and from my iPhone. These appear correctly on all devices except my husband's iMac where they are again all duplicated.
I have two questions: 1) How can I eliminate the duplicated events on my husband's computer and 2) How do I retrieve the old wiped out Calendar events from
Time Capsule. I don't know how to find Calendar in the Time Capsule. If I find the Calendar information in Time Capsule, how do I transfer it to my current Calendars?
I was obtaining phone help from one of the Apple techs at Apple Support, but our call was disconnected part way through. Didn't know how to reconnect with the tech.
Thanks for any help.The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.

How to Use Image Processor for Multiple Sizes
I'm trying to use Image Processor to work on a folder of images and to create several sizes of .jpg's . I find an option to Save as JPEG in one size only. Is there any way to set up Image Processor to save JPEG to multiple sizes?
Thanks in advance for your help!!!Hi Mehtap,
Using the script will give you multiple selections.
This is how I did it and it works well. It just separated the values by semicolon ";" .
TEXT_1.setText(DS_1.getFilterText("0CUSTOMER"));
When selected only one value:

How to manage multiple sizes of the same image?
I recently took up LightRoom for all the good things it does. One of the things I need to do, however, is to create and manage multiple sizes of the same image needed for different purposes. I always found this cumbersome. I totally expected that the LR library would offer a solution for this but I looked and I didn't see anything. Sure you can export and resize in the process but then you're on your own. Am I missing something? Isn't there a better way? What does Adobe have in mind for best practices and how do you handle this?
I can't speak for 99jon, but when I need multiple sizes, I export at the desired sizes, and then make use of the exported photos (upload, e-mail, whatever) and then delete the exports. Thus, there's really no need for me to keep track of the photo at this specific size, knowing that if I ever need it again -- unlikely -- I can regenerate it with the export pre-set, so I put no effort (zero!) into keeping track of photos at different sizes.
The idea of adding it back into the catalog doesn't get me excited, and I would advise against it. I don't need this, and I don't see the benefit of keeping this particular size export for the long-term. As I said, I can always recreate it — but maybe you have such a need to keep these exports long-term and recreating it at a later point in time doesn't meet your needs? Can you explain?
By the way, you can't resize a virtual copy, so that won't work here. The only time you can resize is on export. -
How to export data from a spread sheet which has multiple work sheets?
How to export data from a spread sheet which has multiple work sheets to a single text file with fixed length fields?
Hello s1,
saving them as CSV will not give a fixed legth output but, as the naming says, a Character Separated Value file.

How is it possible that a target has two deltas requests with the exact sam
HI,
How is it possible that a target has two deltas requests with the exact same records?Hi Mohammed,
There are couple of reason behind it.
main reason is
take one scenario we have DSO as source and cube as target.
Now DSO contains only 1 request, which i have loaded to cube by using delta.
after that i have deleted DSO content by using right click on it and delete data.
(hope u know that it will not delete request from target automatically)
now once again i have loaded same request from datasource to DSO
and then loaded delta again from DSO to cube.
In this case for 1 single request in DSO you can see 2 request in cube with same data.
Regards,
Ashish
