Hi all,
I'm connecting to a LaCie big NAS, wired, via AFP. Lately networktransfer is veeeeery slow and I see my log is filled with:
AFP_VFS afpfs_vnop_getxattr: bad dataLength offset 2 replySize 2 (as soon as i browse the NAS disk or start a transfer a series of these error messages are added).
I've seen some reports of this error, apparently it has something to do with OS X Maverick and netatalk version. But I can't find a solution...
I tried to switch to SMB but that throwes lot of error -36 (unexpected end of file) when saving files (for example AI) directly to the disk.
Any suggestions? Would be much appreciated .
ViktorResetting the NetworkSpace 2 back to it's shipping configuration and freshly updating to 2.2.8.5 didn't help, so don't bother going to the (considerable) trouble if Lacie tech support suggests it will fix the problem.
Their current advice is to abandon AFP and connect to the NS2 as an SMB volume or via FTP. Not very useful if you purchased the device intending to use it (as advertised) for Time Machine backups. -
After effects error bad index offset array (83 :: 2)
well.. i typed a word then changed the font but.. this error happend..
i'm ok if there is one.. or two but, several fonts are not worked and this error happend again and again..
how can i get the solution..? HELP MECheck your fonts. This usually happens when you have and or damaged font on the system.

Netstat not reporting input errors with packets that have bad checksums ?
Greetings,
Is netstat not reporting any checksum errors ? I have a number of Macs reporting checksum errors when sniffing the local net. I would think that these should be reported by netstat as input errors, or collisions right ?
But it doesn't currently. See below for sample, its occurring across protocols, tcp, and udp. Usually this error is a bad ethernet port or cabling, and sometimes a sw issue. Working on eliminating the switches, router, and dsl modem by doing more testing.
But is netstat broke ? I havent seen any errors from netstat since @ 3yrs ago.
length 64, bad cksum 0 (->f9fe)!)
One other question, can one monitor firewire 400/800 ports or usb with netstat ? Its not listed with man pages or netstat -h
Thanks in advanceIm am using two commands to view the data;
netstat -I en0 2;
(no errors in or out)
and tcpdump with the verbose -v argument
( reports the cksum ( these are CRC's right, not IP header checksum ? )
At the very bottom is the netstat -s output, otherwise a snippet of tcpdump ; replaced the IP's with xxxx's to protect the innocent
Thanks for your help.....

FS - Error code 3006 from SQL-Query
Hello world!
Can someone inform me which possible errors in a query cause the following error message after the query is activated?
Internal Error (3006) Message [131-183]
Until now I had only error code 1003, which signals syntax errors etc. in the query.
By the way: Does anywhere exists a list of error codes/messages occuring in SAP B1?
Thank you!
Frank RomeniError codes and their description can be found in SDK help files

hey All.
I was wondering if any experts out there can share their expeirences with looping over all of the matrix line items on a sales order form. I have to do this for a client and I would like to know what the best methods are when it comes to speed and performance. Does anyone have any sample code they can share for doing this? I need to update things like price/quantity on each line item when the user presses a button. I know there are different ways to loop over and access these items so I am hoping someone has figured out the best way
Thanks for the help,
CurtisHi Curtis...
The primary two ways of looping data in a matrix... Using the DdDatasouce and Using the oMatrix.Columns.Item("uid").Cells.(row).Specific ...
The first thing one need to know when choosing is:
- Is it a system matrix or you own matrix
- Does you need to read data only or do you need to write data also
- Do you need data from one row/few rows or all rows
The primary reason for these questions is that in system matrixes you are limited to only read from datasources (write is not possible)
This is in my experience the best way to do the following
Read all data from a system matrix:
- Make a Omatrix.FlushToDatasource an read all data from the datasource (Performance = Fast)
Read a specific line on a system matrix:
- Use oMatrix.GetLineData(row) and use the datasource to get data (from the datasource offset)
Write data to a system matrix:
- Since you can't do this using the datasouce only (slow/very slow) solution is to use oMatrix.Columns.Item("uid").Cells.(row).Specific.. There are additional limits to this, because in order to write data the columns must be both editable and visible. (Performance = Slow/very slow (1+ min to update perhaps 100 lines, but 1-10 lines is somewhat ok))
Read/Write data to own matrix
- Always use the datasource... -
ASA 5505 - L2TP over IPsec - Remote Address shows outside interface address
Using an ASA 5505 for firewall and VPN. We've enabled L2TP over IPsec to allow Windows clients to connect without third party software.
The devices complete the connection and authenticate fine, but then are unable to hit any internal resources. Split tunneling seems to be working, as they can still hit outside resources. Packet tracer shows tcp flowing freely between VPN clients (192.168.102.0/24) and internal resources (192.168.100.0/24). Even the NAT translation looks good in packet tracer.
I pulled up the session details for one of the VPN clients in the ASDM and under the IPsecOverNatT details, it is showing the VPN client's remote address correctly, but displays the local address as the address assigned to the outside interface (which the client is using to connect.) This seems to be the problem, as viewing detailed connection logs shows the internal resources trying to send packets back to the outside interface rather than the VPN client's assigned internal addresses. Details:

Any ideas? The remote clients connect but when internal resources try to send traffic to the VPN clients, the packets are directed to the outside interface address instead of the local address assigned to the VPN client.I have what I believe to be a similar issue. Site to site vpn is working well. That is site b can ping and send traffic to site A but Site A can not. Site B is a 3rd party vpn router. Site A is a Cisco 5505.
It appears that when the crypto map inserts the route into the routing table it shows the route via the outside IP of the outside interface and not the IP of Site B. in the crypto map I can see the proper ip address for the peer. I can't figure out why when it inserts the route that it uses the wrong ip address -

i use the function Base64.encode(userPrivKey.getEncoded()); (org.bouncycastle.util.encoders.Base64; to store the private key base64 encoded in the db.
when i extract the key from the db i can decode it with Base64.decode(). the problem is that the decode function only returns a byte array.
so does anybody know how i can convert that byte array back to a private key?
or is there any other (better) solution to store and retrieve private keys from a mysql db?
many thanks
totoI've been looking to do the same thing, and your code is helpful.
If you do not want to pull in the BouncyCastle library, you can extract the RSA private key from the PKCS8 key format by parsing the DER directly. Here is some code that does it. All you need to add is the Base64 encode, and RSA begin and end flags.

Finder crashes when connecting to server (10.9.4)
I have been having an issue with my Mac Mini the last few days when it tries to connect to my local server.
The first few times I can access the server normally through Finder, but after a few goes Finder freezes (spinning beach ball on finder - other apps work ok) up completely and needs to be restarted. Once it has restarted and I re-open Finder, it freezes up again completely until I restart my computer. The same applies when I try to access the server from other apps (eg. when adding a photo from the server to something in Chrome).
I have reset PRAM, verified/repaired disk, run CCleaner.
Any solutions to this issue?

Mail produces Beach Ball and big lag... why?
I seem to be having a few issues since upgrading to Yosemite. One that is particularly annoying is that whenever I open Mail, it takes the better part of a minute to appear on the screen, and then when I click on an email, the Beach Ball appears... sometimes it stays for a minute, sometimes several minutes. It eventually goes away and I can read the email. But should I select another email, it starts all over again.
My iMac is a late 2007 24" Aluminum, has 6GB or RAM, 500 GB HDD of which 175 GB are free. I don't seem to have any issues using Adobe CS4 Photoshop or Illustrator, and as I do a lot of design work, I'm trying to keep as many big graphics files on my attached NAS and/or USB HDDs. But Mail is a problem since I'm constantly sending reduced size draft files of graphics work as attachments for clients to review.
Figured I'd Include an EtreCheck Report:
Problem description:
Opening Mail is very sluggish since Yosemite upgrade, and opening an email causes Beach Ball to spin for 1-5 minutes. Mid 2007 iMac7,1 Intel Core 2 Extreme 2.8GHz, 6GB RAM, 800 MHz Bus, 500 GB HDD w/175 GB Free.

I was able to start Step 1 last night before going to sleep. Came down this morning and Terminal was back to the normal name followed by $. Tried opening an email and while its definitely faster than a few days ago... its still ponderously slow with the Beach Ball appearing again when I went to Reply and clicked on the Paper Clip, opening Finder, and selecting an image. I do apologize for posting lengthy tests but I guess thats the only way we'll resolve this. This post is a list of a simple task... Open Mail, Select an Email, Select Reply, type one word, then Select Paper Clip to attach a small 500 KB image. So I did do Step 2 but ran the Console App again so you can see whats going on. I noticed an interesting thing... Utility Icon is not showing up in Launchpad. I meant to ask you about that yesterday, but its probably unrelated. If you want me to do Step 2 just say the word. I think we're making progress slowly, but perhaps this dialogue will help someone else bc when I Google "Beach Ball in Mac Mail" I see tons of people complaining. Thanks again for your patience and help.

Unzip Error Message with PeopleSoft HRMS 9.1 Application Install File
Can anyone tell me what this error messgae means? I've re-downloaded the PS 9.1 application and aix unzip executable and I'm still getting the below error message. Also, it appears the the file was unzipped. I'm not sure if the contents are corrupted based upon this error message:

Did you try with gunzip instead of unzip ?

Very low network performance (Solaris8)!
I'm using two Solaris8(4/01) PC.
Each PC consists of ASUS CUSL2-M (this mother board is listed in HCL) which has 3Com 3C920 onboard network controller.
I tested the network thoughput between them by the netperf, I got only 2.7M bit per sec!
I also tested following:
Solaris8(3C920) - Solaris8(Intel Pro/100) 2.6Mbps
Solaris8(3C920) - Linux(Dec tulip) 81.2Mbps
What's wrong? Configuration problem? Device failure? Or driver problem?
Anyone tell me the solution, please.
Thanks, yuki.Well, in Netstat>Display Comprehensive Network Statistics for eac Protocol, the first one should be TCP:, and should look something like this...

I am getting a complete system slowdown Can anyone help?
Hello, I upgraded to Mavricks and since then Finder is unbearably slow! I hit the eject button on the keyboard and it is a good ten seconds before it opens. I have all sorts of bounces in the dock before anything opens. I have 12GB memory so it should not be memory caching. The CPUs are hardly ever taxed. Why do I feel like I am on Tiger again? (I see others have posted this as well!) Apple please help!!

I have that many many times in Console.
What is it and what do I do with it?
You probably have an external network storage device mounted on your Mavericks machine. Make sure it is updated to the vendor's latest firmware - the device's implementation of Netatalk (the open source AFP server) must be at least version 3.0.5 to avoid this error on Mavericks. -
E Business Suite File corrupted
Hi
I am new to E Business Suite. I am still at the learning stage.
I am downloading the E Business Suite software R12 from E Delivery Site. The version I will use is linux X86 EBS.
I am using a Windows machine to download all the files. The download speed is only 60 KB per Second.
I observe that when checked using the command "unzip -t filename.zip" for the zip files downloaded till now, It shows some of the files (but not all ) are having errors.
The errors are like *" Bad CRC and Bad Zipfile Offset"*. The errors are only of these two kinds.
Does this mean that the downloaded files are not usable for Installation and installation will fail ? Do I need to download the same files again ? Or is it possible to use
these files without any problems in Installation.Hi,
The errors are like *" Bad CRC and Bad Zipfile Offset"*. The errors are only of these two kinds. This indicates that the files are corrupted.
Does this mean that the downloaded files are not usable for Installation and installation will fail ? Yes.
Do I need to download the same files again ? Yes.
Or is it possible to use these files without any problems in Installation. It is not possible.
Once you create the stage area directory, please run md5sum as per (Note: 802195.1 - MD5 Checksums for R12.1.1 Rapid Install Media) to verify the integrity of the stage are directory.
