Datasource is not activatng

Hi SAP Gurus,
I am tying to activate replicated datasouce in BI,in order to create Infoackage.But I am getting an error mesaage and datasource is not activated.
Error message:Error getting fields for PSA "BIC B0000096
Datasouce name is Vendor evaluaton
Please help me in this.

Try activating the datasource using the program in SE38: RSDS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE_ALL
give the data source name and source system name.

Enhanced Datasource fields not getting displayed in Transformation

Hi,
Eventhough after replicating the datasource, the Enhanced Datasource fields not getting displayed in Transformation.
Eg I have done mapping of 6 fields in transformation from datasource to DSO
Now the datasource is enhanced with 8 fields...........The transformation is not showing the added 2 fields
I am deleting the existing transformation.Is this the only solution?
Kindly suggest your answers.

HI,
Deleting is not solution as it is common scnerio.
Go to the data source in BW and in change mode check the option "transfer" for this two fields and then see if its coming or not.

Hi ,
1.All data source extractors basically work on tables only .However some extractors are based on table or view directly.
2.To check this you can go to R/3 TCODE RSA2 and here can give datasource name .
3.In Extraction tab you will find Extraction Method .
V is for transperent table or DB view .
Here you will find the details about all extractors extraction method.

SCCM 2012 R2 - Reporting Services Point installation - "The Datasource does not exist"

Quick bit of background, we have SCCM 2012 R2 installed on a Windows 2012 R2 server. We have the SQL back end off box, configured on a SQL 2012 R2 server running on a Windows Server 2012 R2 cluster. Then there is yet another server which runs the reporting
services. I've just tried installing the Reporting Services Point on the srs server but it doesn't appear to have worked that well. Here's the info i've got back:
A] Site Status > Reporting services point:
SMS_SITE_SYSTEM_STATUS_SUMMERIZER
Site System Status Summarizer detected that the availability of the "Reporting services point" role on server "\\NA-SQLR01.in.tna.local" has changed to Failed.
B] The last message from the SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT Component Status is "Site Component Manager successfully installed this component on this site system"
C] Here's the first chunk of info which appears in the srsrp.log file:

Paul, nope can't say I've done any configuration of reporting services - the whole thing has been set up by the database team. Having had a trundle through Reporting Services Configuration Manager, it seems the Database team have set up SSRS in line with
the walkthrough you posted.
Since i'm not seeing the ConfigMgr_XXX folder appear in SSRS I'm wondering if there's something preventing SCCM from being able to create it. The message
"Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.AccessDeniedException: The permissions
granted to user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM' are insufficient for performing this operation" sounds like the account SCCM is leveraging to perform the install might not have the right permissions in SSRS. Do i need to delegate specific rights to the NT
AUTHORITY\SYSTEM account in SRS perhaps?

DataSource ***** does not exist in source system ***** of version A

dear masters,
i m new to BI i m creating one report in BI. for that i m taking the data from Excel file. for that i have created the source system
and data source i saved and activated the data source. in data source preview i checked the data its coming properly as i given in
excel sheet. after that i m creating the infopackage while creating it i m getting the error DataSource ***** does not exist in source system ***** of version A. i checked data source in RSA2 but in this it is showing The DataSource DS_PO85 does not exist in version A also i checked in RSA3 its showing The DataSource DS_PO85 does not exist in version A.
pls help me how to overcome this problem.... where i m missing which setttings...

Hi Vicky,
Go to RSA1--> Data Source --> Find the data source (for which the load is getting failed)
Now Change and activate the data source again.
Both the status and version should be activated green.
Also you can use the check button to check the DS.

Shared Datasource Is Not Valid Error

Using Reporting Services (SQL Server 2008 R2), I have a VS SSRS project with 23 reports, all running off the same Shared Data Source. They all execute in VS. I have deployed the datasource, datasets & reports to server. From the Report
Manager, I can execute all reports except 4, which have the same error:
The report server cannot process the report or shared dataset. The shared data source '22d600c2-a3d5-4178-8a39-d05361607ebd' for the report server or SharePoint site is not valid. Browse to the server or site and select a shared data source. (rsInvalidDataSourceReference)
I have tried the following, without success:
1)verified that the datasource exists in the Data Sources folder, and is Enabled
2) Checked and reset the Shared Datasource to point to the deployed datasource in the Data Sources folder
3) Recreated & redeployed the datasource
4) Deleted the 4 reports on the server and re-deployed
5) Deleted the reports, used Upload instead of Deploy, then set the Shared Datasource to point to the one on the server
6) Verified that the Link column in ReportServer.DataSource is NOT NULL. Actually have the same Link as the other 19 reports. Verified that the GUID in the LinkID exists in Catalog table and is the id for the Datasource.
No matter what I have tried, for some reason, the GUID in these failing reports appear to get set to '22d600c2-a3d5-4178-8a39-d05361607ebd', which does not exist in Catalog table. The other reports never fail, these reports never execute. Anyone
have any ideas?

As I recall, I went into the Report server db and updated the Catalog table. Open the table and you'll find your reports listed with a link to their datasource (in the DataSource table). I found the 4 reports that failed had a different value
in the LinkID column than the reports that executed, even though they use the same shared datasource.
So I copied the good LinkID value (a GUID) into the 4 reports that failed, and then they ran fine. For some unknown reason, there was an invalid value stuck in the LinkID column which pointed to a datasource that really did not exist.
Go figure.

I have MySQL as my data base.
I created one universe on top of MySQL. Then i made one webI report on top of that and exported it to BO Portal (Infoview).
Now when I am refreshing this report, it gives me below error in Infoview while its getting refreshed in WebI.
[Database Error] [Microsoft ODBC Driver manager] Datasource name not found and no default driver specified.
WIS 10901
I found SAP Note 1200396 and have created DSN with Same name on Server.
But still I am facing same problem. I have not clustered enviroment.
Guys any one have some idea about this?

If your BOBJ server runs on 64bit windows you should set up the DSN using the 32bit ODCB utility (<Windowa installation director>\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe )

I have the same error occurring also. It happens when I try to drill down to a lower level within my BI BEANS application. As I am using a JSP to hold my BI BEANS this occurs on either a Bar Graph click or a Crosstab expension. I have both the Crosstab and the Graph linked.

Datasource could not be found

Been working on this problem for several days now. My CF 7
server with developer configuration (using the built-in CF server)
is fine, so I copied my production-ready site to my new CF 8
production server (using IIS). The problem, now, is that I'm
getting a "Datasource dimdbcfm could not be found."
The datasources on the CF 8 server have been set up in the CF
admin, so that shouldn't be the problem. In fact, if I use the
built-in CF server as a test (
http://s355ab5:8301/CFIDE/index.cfm)
I get the expected page with it's menu form and database-driven
options. However, the CGI values are missing ... not showing int
the debug or cfoutputs. For example, remote_user and auth_user is
blank, but remote_host is good. On the other hand, if I use the IIS
server (
http://s355ab5/CFIDE/) it gives
me the CGI values just fine but the datasource can not be found.
I've researched the problem across the net, through my books,
even check with some in-house help and can't figure it out ...
mostly because I can't find the same problem. I'm thinking it's a
case where it's either a misunderstood/ambiguous cause or something
is not right with my IIS or my CF.
Another potential problem is the location (directory path) of
the site and/or the IIS settings.
• I kept the site under the
\JRun4\servers\KIMprod\cfusion.ear\cfusion.war\CFIDE directory.
• I didn't bother with the \Inetpub\www\CFIDE
directory.
• I reset the default site to the same JRun4 directory.
• I checked "local path" and the associated
permissions. Seem OK.
Other checks done.
• I checked the Authentication Methods and set to
"Integrated Windows authentication".
• I have CF configured as Multiserver.
• I even tested this with a temporary ODBC connection.
The test connection was successful.
• I also added a JRunScripts virtual directory as
suggested by another web site. (Didn't get created automatically.)
• Also created sandbox settings. No change.
Seriously stuck here, and I'm hoping it's a simple problem,
even though I might hang my head in embarrassment if it is.

Datasource 0CO_PC_PCP_03 not returning Aux Costcomp str Data

We are using datasource 0CO_PC_PCP_03 to exctract itemised product costing details to BW. We observe datasource is not transfering rows with the cost component structure of data of the auxiliary costcomponent split.Can we apply note 423270 to fix this issue ( As this note is addressing the same issue, but not for above datasource)

Have you tried running the datasource in your source system using RSA3 yet? I would run it in debug mode to see why it is not picking up the records you think it should.

DataSource is not able to extract the data

I am trying to extract data from R3. but 2LIS_03_BF DataSource is not able to extract the data, even though Goods is Issued in R/3 and is able to view the issued goods in MB5B report.
Please provide some ideas , on how to resolve this issue.

2LIS_03_BF datasource is the Inventory datasource.1st of all you have to check it in the Delta queue(RSA7) if the Delta is available or not..After that you have check the data in RSA3 transaction.soetimes it happens that the delta data is not showing into the RSA3 transaction.Try to load the data delta load into the BW system.

DataSource is "NOT EXECUTABLE" in Production

We are working on BI 7.0 and trying to move the objects of my module in to Production.
One Generic DataSource(Master Data Attribute) has been first transported in to Production R/3 , from there I replicated this DataSource in Production BI...and symultaneously all the related objects related to this DataSources were also transported from Dev BI to Production BI.
in RSA6, I checked Object Directory entry for that particular DataSource...It's perfectly locked under particular Package and in my own request.
Still, when I replicated it from Production R/3 to Production BI, it's not properly activated...means....the version is showing as "ACTIVE", But Active Version as "NOT EXECUTABLE"(Edited Version) .... and the datasource is not highlighted with green color....
Can somebody help me in finding what could be the error and appropriate solutions....

Are you using 3.x data source or 7.0 data source.
In case you are using 3.x data source make sure you have replicated the data source as a 3.x data source in to BW.
Please use function module RSAOS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE
and check the error message you are getting.

Transfer rules of export datasource will not activate

We are on BW 3.5
We have an export datasource from an ODS that existed that we are regenerating and ultimately pointing to a different cube. When the transport was created in development, the infosource, transfer rules, transfer structure and communication structure were all on the transport.
When it got to test, the transport got a '12'. The transfer rules said active, but the datasource was not. Runnint RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL yielded (and still does) the error: "No versioning for PSA table" Error Message: RSAR023
We tried regenerating the export datasource. That took the transfer rule reference out of table RSISOSMAP and made RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL fail because it couldn't find the transfer rules at all.
We have tried reimporting.
We have tried replicating.
We have tried regenerating.
We have tried sending the datasource replica and datasource.
Nothing is working and it's holding up a large effort underway.
Any thoughts???
Note - we had another ODS with the same situation and we did the same thing and it is active. The only difference is that for the problem export datasource the underlyingn ODS itself was also transported.

First transport the ODS and Replica of the datasource to quality. Check whether the ODs and replica 8* object is active.
Replicate them and regenerate them.
Then transport the transfer rules and update rules in the next transport and try activating them.
