Datasource Node

Hi All
I am trying to transport my Datasources (ECC) from Dev to QA. i have placed the node, with all the datasources directly under SAP in RSA6. everything is fine. but when i transport the same to QA the Node goes and sits in Unassigned nodes (NODESNOTCONNECTED). what should i do so that the Node is placed directly under the SAP.
This is causing issues as when i replicate it sits directly under the uassigned nodes in BI.

DataSource Creation for flatfile in BI 7.0

I am new to BI 7.0. I have worked on BW 3.5. When i rightclick on Appl Comp for creating a datasource in 'Datasources' node, I am not able to find any option except 'Replicate MetaData'. Is there any setting to be made or shall I have to do it differently.

first create flat file source system under file folder in source system tab
Go to datasource tab click , click on yellow icon and select ur source sytem
then u can create ur application component and datasource under that application component.

Added DataSource not in JNDI tree; WLS6.1SP1

I have added a new DataSource, but I don't see it in the JNDI tree? I have restarted the server after adding. (BTW if I check the examples server, not every name is in the JNDI tree either?! eg. examples-dataSource-demoPool is not in the tree; but examples-dataSource-demoXAPool is in the tree)

this in my first post.
I have tried again to add a ConnectionPool and a DataSource: to my supprise it
was in the JNDI tree. So everything seemed OK now, but read on...
Because I couldn't access other PC's in my network (Weblogic is installed on my
laptop, which I used during the day without network connection) I rebooted my
laptop and the JNDI name was gone??? Must be something with IP addresses or so.
I will investigate and reply when I have figured it out.

Error in Simple Adobe Form

It is Simple Adobe Form with two fields(Firstname and Last name ) not table. I am getting UI Interactive form but not getting PDF. I am using NWDS 7.0.15 and Adobe Live Cycle Designer 7.1.

Hi Risha,
In NWDS Web Dynpro perspective, when you create a project, you will be able to create an InteractiveForm UI Element in any view. You need to set the 'datasource' property to some context node with attributes. You open the Adobe Designer for this InteractiveForm UI Element by choosing the context menu option 'Edit'. You can create some form elemnts for it by dragging the attributes of the binded datasource node from 'Data View' to the form preview area. When you build, deploy & run your application after this, you get this form in the browser. You can now save this form as pdf.

How to change attribute "read_only" of a inputfield in a table?

action:
1.Create a table with name " A_TABLE" in the layout in a view.
2.Binding some fields from a structure to the table.
3.Field "Checkbox" is a checkbox type and field "input" is a inputfield type with readonly in the table "A_TABLE" .
4.I hope: When selecting a checkbox in the "Checkbox" colume in a row in the table, the field "input" corresponding will be changed readonly.
The follow is my code: When select Field "Checkbox" , the method is invoked.

Hello Wang,
You need to bind the readOnly attribute of the input field to a newly to created attribute beneath the dataSource node of the table within the context. That way, each input field of each row of the table can have a different value for readOnly.

Need help on tips of Enter Key form Default Action!

In Iplanet-Jato-Tips
Enter Key Form Action Default Command i had a problem.
Is there any way to avoid the Enter action.
I need the same functionality which they specified in the tips,but not while
enter on a text field.
I need that functionality(default command child) ,but that action should
happen only at onclick,onFocus etc.So how to do for that.
My Ultimate question is
I need a default handler method which should handle my request if i submit a
page thru javascript having document.form.submit().
Please help needed,i was exhausted in asking this question in so many ways.

Need help on selection of records in dynamically created table

Ia m able to bind the onleadSelect event to the dynamially created table .
But i was not able to select the table records.
default first record was only selected.
can u help me out to find the way.
i am pasting the code for reference.
can u suggest me the right direction.
i want the selected record in the table to be dispalyed in another view thru this action event.
but only the forst record is now getting selected by default.

How to change the background and font color of a particular row in table

Hi,
   i need to change the background and font color of a particular row. I am using textview as table columns. I tried to do it using semanticColor property of textview but the font color get changed for the whole column. But i want to change the color of a particular row only.
   If anybody knows please help me(give an example if possible).

Hi Pankaj,
In your data source context node (context node which is bound to dataSource property of Table UI elemennt) do following:
If data source node is model node: create a value node under data source node, cardinality 1..1, selection 1..1, singleton false. In this new node add value attribute and set property readOnly=true, calculated=true, property com.sap.ide.webdynpro.uielementdefinitions.TextViewSemanticColor .
If datasource node is value add value attribute and set property readOnly=true, calculated=true, property com.sap.ide.webdynpro.uielementdefinitions.TextViewSemanticColor.
In calculated getter method put your color calculation depending on conditions, like:
return <condition>
? WDTextViewSemanticColor.CRITICAL
: WDTextViewSemanticColor.STANDARD;
Bind new created attribute with property semanticColor of textview.

Node Customer (0..n)
- Attribute: Name
- Attribute: CustomerNo
-Node Orders (in Node Customer) also (0..n)
Attribute: CustomerNo
Attribute: OrderName
I have different Customers and every Customer have some Orders. Now i want a list in my interactive Form
with every Customer with his Orders, one after another-> like this:
Cutomer-Name: MSA AG Customer-CustomerNo: 1
- Order1
- Order2
- Order3
Customer-Name: NFKA Co.KG CustomerNo: 2
- Orderxx
- Orderxy
- Orderxz
So i made a
- subform (table-flowed)
-- subform1 (bodyrow-flowed- reapete subform for each data item)
-> in this subform are the fields Customer-Name and Customer-No
---subform2 (bodyrow-flowed-repeate subform for each data item)
-> in this subform are teh fields Customer-No and OrderName (both from Node Order)
so if i build my print form. The list ist mixed up:
First there is the first Customername, then all Orders of all Customers, then there is the list of all other Customernames.
But i want -> CustomerName-All Orders to this Customer, next CustomerName with all Orders to this Customer and so on...
How do i solve this problem?! Do i have to use Java Script ?! How would it look like and where i have to to write it (in Initialize of the Form)?

Hi,
you have two possibilities:
a) use Java Script in the Form:
    - Loop over the customers
      - Loop over the orders. Create a new instance of the table (instanceManager.create ...)
b) Modify your data structure using table in table and map the into sub-forms:
    - Outer sub-form with the customers
    - Inner sub-form with a table of the orders
Using the option b) would be better. You avoid horrible Java Script in the Form.

I have a DropdownIndex component on my table. The user can click on it and choose some an account number from a drop down list. But if there is no number, how can he add a new account number?
The component set to readOnly - false. But I still can't input some text, like I do with the InputField.
Please help me with a solution.

You are right. It is not a good approach to add elements to each drop down.
I have already tried DropDownByKey. My question is:
Is it possible to remove a key from the table, so, that the user choose only from the values. Because I don't have keys for my field. In the table field keys are shown, is it possible to show only values instead of it? Can I change the look of the DropDownByKey-Table?
So my scenario:
A user see value in the table, click and expand DropDown, where is the table, without keys. The user can choose the value he wants and it will be shown the table.
Please help.

Create a pdf without showing it in the UI?

I'm trying out Interactive Forms for Java for the first time, so please bear with me if this is obvious.
Is there a way to create a pdf and not display it in the ui? If I for example just want to download or email it.
I've tried setting visibility to None and Blank but that prevents the PDF from being generated at all.
It sort of works if I use FireFox and choose DisplayType activeX since FireFox can't display ActiveX. Our customer runs IE so that is not an option however.

You can create a pdf without displying it in UI.
Follow the below steps :
1. Copy your xdp file under mimes folder.
2. create a pdfsource context and DataSource node for pdf.
3. Create a File Download UI element in Ui and bind the data property with pdf source context.
4. Now copy the below code in wdDoInit() which is genrating the pdf from xdp.

Setting Image field in adobe form

Hello Gurus,
I have a question setting the image field dynamically.
I have created a following context structure for
DataSource(ValueNode Cardinality (1..1))->imagenode(Valuenode Cardinalty(0..n))->image(Value attribute))
I have binded the Datasource node to the Datasource of the interactive form.
I have dynmaically created the imagenode and set the value for the image.

Now I want to set this node to the image field in adobe.
In URL of the image field I have enterted $record.imagenode[*].image and its not working where as the same thing works for text field.

Copy the images to src -> mimes - > Components of your development component / project.
To the value node set the url like the following way ...

Binding to remote Oracle DB

I have successfully added a new datasource to my project that connects to a remote oracle database. I used the same settings that I do in Eclipse. The test connection worked fine. I was also able to click on the button to select a validation table from the Add DataSource dialog. This worked as well.
But when I try to expand the new DataSource node whether from the Servers pallete or from the bind to data provider from a component the IDE seems to hang. It no longer responds and if I switch to another program and come back I just see a grey backgound.
When I right click on the datasource node and choose view data I am able to perform queries with no problem.

Never mind. It finally worked. I just needed to go and workout and when I got back viola the tree for the datasource node was expanded. Hope I can figure out how to speed things up.

Multiple data sources Essbase and RDBMS in BIEE 11g

I want to link Essbase cube with sql server in BIEE 11. I try to do it and I found that it can be linked in physical layer, but it does not allow me to set linkage in "Business Model and Mapping" layer. when I drag and drop a report and it return error:

My steps:

1) Use "Import Metadata" in BI Admin tools to import data source from Essbase (e.g. TBC, TBC_ASO)
2) Use "Import Metadata" in BI Admin tools to import SQL server table (e.g. testdb.dbo.p_gen2_info)
3) create linkage between table testdb.dbo.p_gen2_info.gen_id with TBC_ASO.[Product.Gen2,Product - Member Key] in "Physical layer"
4) drag and drop TBC (Essbase), TBC_ASO (Essbase), and testdb (sql server) from physical layer to "Business Model and Mapping" layer
5) drag and drop table testdb.dbo.p_gen2_info to TBC_ASO (since it dosn't allow set linkage in "Business Model and Mapping" layer between different data source)
6) drag and drop TBC, TBC_ASO, testdb from "Business Model and Mapping" layer to Presentation Layer.

Anything I did wrong? please advise.

Check what are your settings under tools-> Embedded OC4J Preferences in the datasource node.
