DataSource Overloaded, How can I monitor states?

Hi There, your answer is very relevant, I am facing same problems! But actually I don´t want know the root cause, I need another information,of course, if you can ! How can I manage datasources states ? I mean, I must use JMX or another kind of monitoring system, to prevent datasources overloads ! Do you have any Idea, what I am trying to say is : Using JMX, SNMP, Nagios, is that possible for me prevent or try avoid through monitoring systems, datasource fails ?
Basically I need check health states from these datasources, can you help me ?

You can use the admin console. When you click on the data source in question you see a monitoring tab.
Here you can click customize this table and add various (or all) monitoring parameters. When your data source
gets overloaded, an attribute to monitor is active connections current count and compare this to the number of connection you
have configured for the pool. When this attribute remains constant it can indicate that you are dealing with leaked connections.
The advanced section of the connection pool, configuration contains a attribute called Inactive Connection Timeout which
reclaims leaked connections. "You can use the Inactive Connection Timeout feature to reclaim leaked connections - connections that
were not explicitly closed by the application. Note that this feature is not intended to be used in place of properly closing connections."
You can also watch the data source in a graph (http://hostname:7001/console/dashboard). Here you can build your own graphs with
