Datasources missing in R/3

Hi all
we transported datasources from R/3 DEV to R/3QAU.
On BI side we have done dataloading.
We observed that QAU refresh&backup has beeen done on Aug 12th 2011.
Now In quality system,
we couldn't find any datasources in RSA5 and RSA6.
Also on BI side,alll the datasources got populated under UNASSIGNED NODES.
When we check source system connection in rsa1its throwing RFC error.
Incase the basis people establihed the RFC's then Can I see the datasour ces in RSA5 and RSA6?
Any idea why it has happened like this and solution for this?

After correcting the RFC connection between source system and BI system,What if I do
1.transportrs from DEVR/3 to QAU R/3
2.Transfer application component hierarchy (RSA9) in R/3
Wil any on among these two options work in this situation?

Datasources Missing when Installing Technical Content for BI Admin Cockpit

Hi,
I have installed the Technical Content for BI Admin Cockpit in our QA systems, for BI7, using SPRO, and it seems that there are some missing datasources, transfer rules, etc.,
The one's that are missing are:
=> 0TCTPRCSVAR_TEXT
=> 0TCTPRCSVAR_ATTR
=> 0TCTBWOBJCT_TEXT
=> 0TCTBWOBJCT_ATTR
Does anyone know if this is a known issue, that these are not available?
Please let me know if they're required, and if there's a fix to get them back.

Hi John,
In my system the symptom is the same. So I just installed them myself in RSA1->BI Content.
I don't think it's a big problem because the queries on the MultiProviders can run without these master data. For example, you may find the text of query is missing but you can see query's technical name.
I remember when I activate 0TCTBWOBJCT_TEXT and 0TCTPRCSVAR_TEXT, these datasources are in BI 7 version but there's no transformation. So I create myself.

Com.sun.media.protocol.v4l.DataSource missing in JMF-2.1.1e

Hi Folx,
I installed the linux-package of JMF-2.1.1e and tried to access a webcam with video4linux. I get this error-msg:
java.io.IOException: java.lang.Error: No such capture device!
javax.media.NoDataSourceException: Error instantiating class: com.sun.media.protocol.v4l.DataSource : java.io.IOException: java.lang.Error: No such capture device!When I look into the src, there's a folder v4l in media/protocol, but when I look into the jar, media/protocol has no subfolders!
So I guess it's missing...
btw: jmfinit, registry etc works all fine, but I can't access to v4l-device in my scripts.

if Jmfinit works fine then all you need to do is get your environment variables right.
like this:
JMFHOME=/usr/lib/jmf; export JMFHOME
CLASSPATH=${JMFHOME}/lib/jmf.jar:${JMFHOME}/lib:${JMFHOME}/lib/sound.jar:${CLASSPATH}; export CLASSPATH
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=.:${JMFHOME}/lib:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH};
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
I had the same problem and this worked for me. ;-)

EHS datasources missing for ODS's 0EIH_DS01, 0EIH_DS02, 0EIH_DS03

We are trying to activate BI business content for EHS using ODS's 0EIH_DS01, 0EIH_DS02 and 0EIH_DS03. When we look in the R/3 side we can't find datasources for these three ODS.
Are we missing some plug-ins on the R/3 side? Where can we get the delivered R/3 datasources?

0Gender Transfer Rules for its Text Datasource Missing

Dear Experts,
While checking 0Gender infoobject, I do not see any transfer rules connected to the 0Gender_Text Datasource?
Within the 0Gender Display in RSD1, I see text data loaded into /BI0/TGENDER table.
In the Business content activation under any grouping too no transfer rules are present.
I am on BI 7SP17 and BI Cont 703 SP6.
Can anyone please help.

Error while transporting a WEBservice Datasource

Hi all,
I am trying to transport a web service datasource(PI data to BW) in testing system . But while transporting ,I get the following error in the logs of my transport request.
Error generating the Web service /BIC/CQZPI_KPI00002000
This is not an authorization issue as I have got the required authorizations from the basis team .
Can anyone please give me some solution to this error.

Please check also if Myself connection was correctly set in your system.

Please try to check the data format. Check if some fields are mentioned in
logs and set them to EXTERNAL before the transport.
Please try also to activate the DataSource in the source system and
then create a new transport request and transport it.

COPA Data sources are not delivered as a part of Business Content
You have to Generated or Create the COPA Data Sources based on the Customized Operating Concern in Source System.

Generate alerts from event inserted in OM/DW databases

Hi,
Is there a existing datasource that is able to read events inserted in OM/DW databases using Microsoft.SystemCenter.CollectEvent and Microsoft.SystemCenter.DataWarehouse.PublishEventData ?
Something that would work like Microsoft.SystemCenter.SdkEventProvider but not for events inserted using SDK...
If such a datasource doesn't exist, I could write a scripted datasource that would query the EventView view in OM database, but I'd rather avoid that.
The reason why I'm trying to achieve this is that I'm collecting syslog events ( more or less following this article : http://blogs.technet.com/b/omx/archive/2013/01/07/how-to-store-syslog-in-the-scom-data-warehouse.aspx ) and I now need to create alerts
when a specific event is missing for a
given target (the targets are already discovered as instances of a custom class with their IP address as a property).
All targets are sending their syslog events to the same SCOM agent, which explains why I'm unable to simply use a "basic" rule based on syslog datasource -> missing correlator -> alert action (such a rule would need to be targeted at this
specific agent, thus not allowing me to filter on the IP address property).
I hope my question was clearly enough explained, if not I'll try to clarify anything you need!

you can use System.Mom.BackwardCompatibility.FilteredEvent.DataProvider module to read event in SCOM DB and generate alert, this module is available in System.Mom.BackwardCompatibility.Library.MP .

Data Sources - 0FI_FM_1 & 0FI_FM_2

Hi Experts,
I am trying to install the business content infoprovider 0FIFM_C01. The datasources are also getting installed in the BIW server during the activation of the business content. Even after replication with the source system, I am unable to see the data sources in the source system in RSA5. There are no entries in ROOSOURCE table as well for this data source.
Please let me know how to transfer the business content data sources 0FI_FM_1 & 0FI_FM_2 to the source system in this case.

Enhancement Pack - Wayaround

Hey everyone,
I've got an interesting problem at my hand that I can't seem to find a reasonable answer to. The issue is as follows:
We are in the process of activating BI content ( our ERP has enhancement pack 1 ) and there are a couple of core datasources missing ( for master data ) which come with enhancement pack 2 and over. And we can't initiate an activity of updating to EP2 as that would delay our current project - however, we are currently testing a proposed solution i.e. trying to transport datasources from a demo-server ( already on EP2 ) ....
so, what do you guys think can be done for a short-term solution ..... would like any input / suggestions from your side.

This sounds good you can implement however, before proceeding check with basis that, future if they planning to implement EP2 what will be the impact whether overwrite or give any error as "Already Exists".

BW Upgrade System Copy

Hi ,
We have jst upgraded BW3,5 to BI7.3.
Upon checking from BW perspective, i notice that some datasources missing in Tcode RSA6.
When i checked in Tcode RSA5 (Business Content Installation) , the datasources is missing there too.
1.Does that mean Basis did not perform complete copy of the system?
2.Now that its missing, do we actually need to take another copy of 3.5 and upgrade it again?

Thanks for the note. Its relates more to symptoms where by datasource exist but with other problems.
My issue is , the datasource in RSA5(Business Content Installation) itself is missing. Not sure if it was cause during the technical upgrade. Anyway, through the note i could check on the Datasource PSA issues.I was not aware of this program.Thanks.
So far, main issue is the Multiprovider inConsistency due to compounding. The program check before the upgrade was ok. But after upgrade its showing errors. despite the feature 'tick compounding error as warning only' warning messages being shown during query execution.Still in fixing mode on this, not a easy one though.

Problems with Enterprise Beans

I am trying to deploy a simple CMP Entity Bean (without relationships, only 3 fields).
The code is based on The J2EE Tutorial from Sun lesson "Container-Managed Persistence Examples".
I current use JDK 1.4.0 and JDeveloper Preview 9.0.3.988.
My project compiles OK, the EJB-JAR file is OK but when I deploy it I receive to OC4J I receive this:
error: Invalid class file format in C:\ojd9i\j2ee\home\applications\TpProgramaApp\TpProgramaEJB.jar(com/parceria/ejb/TpProgramaLocalHome.class). The major.minor version '48.0' is too recent for this tool to understand.
I tried to deploy it to J2EE RI but a strange error message is displayed at verifier tool:
Error : Primary key field set accessor method [ cdTpPrograma ] is exposed through the remote interface [com.parceria.ejb.TpProgramaLocal ].
(I dont have Remote Interfaces)
What might be wrong?
Could be the JDK Version?

I corrected the datasource missing information.
In orion-ejb-jar.xml I filled the data source information for my Entity bean as: "jdbc/ParceriaDBDS" where ParceriaDB is the name of my connection to Oracle database in the JDeveloper environment.
However when I try to deploy I receive this message:
