Dear All,
We came across with a strange issue last month.
We have a vmware cluster with 2 esxi 4.1 hosts.
Friday morning, suddenly we lost connection to all VMs running on both esx hosts and lost connection to storage.
After 1st esx restart 3rd volume was still in disconnected state.
After esx host restart, and rescan, it showed free size in minus for 3rd datastore.
And bizarre issue was, suddenly after 3rd rescan it showed total capacity of 4000TB, and free size of 293 TB. Entire storagebox is not bigger than 8 TB.
This situation remained till friday, and suddenly after another rescan on Monday, the datastore showed again correct size and issue was completely solved and did not occur till now.
We are still wondering what went wrong for 3 days.
There were zero errors at storage level or at hardware level.
Strange issue which got solved itself!!!! Has anyone seen this in their environment?
We saw this in logs.

We just had a very similar issue on our system. We are running 5.1 ESXi and 5.5 vCenter.
We added a new 1.5 TB datastore to our VMware cluster. Only a few hosts were seeing the new datastore. After doing a bunch of refresh/rescan all we managed to get all the VMhosts to see the new datastore. Then things got really weird, the size was being reported erroneously from it being 4TB to over 290,000TB!!! It would jump into a red alarm and then disconnect from some hosts. On other hosts it showed up correctly as 1.5TB but with 700GB used! Refresh again and the datastore would disappear!
I checked on our SAN and there were no errors or messages to indicate any issue with the SAN, LUN, or communication paths.
We ended up creating a new LUN and datastore and just deleted the one causing the issues. So far everything seems fine. We have never seen this happen before. We too concluded that it may have been some type of corruption on the LUN or during the VMFS5 formatting. I know this doesn't offer much help in how to solve the issue. For us since it was a new datastore with nothing on it we opted to just delete it and move on rather than troubleshoot deeper with VMware.

I'm using Photoshop CS6 on a Windows 7 - 64 bit system. I'm using the Image Size dialog box and saving the file as a 4X6 at 300 dpi from a psd file to a jpeg file. When I open the file it is 5X7.5 inches at 240 dpi. I've been playing with it and have just figured out that when I save the file as a psd file it stays the size I've created and it changes when I save as a jpeg file. This is change is recent. It's worked properly in the past. Thanks for your help.

The other day i deleted my email accounts off of my ipod and only reloaded a few of them. today i looked at my notes to look at a project i had typed on my notes because i didnt have paper and pen around to write it and i didnt want to froget. I reloaded the rest of my emails in hope that everything would reappear but sadly only some of them from 2010 loaded. Recently i had update some of the files and they were like they were when i first created them there were alos ones that i had deleted long ago. There are other notes i had made that were really important to me to andi wouldn't be able to remember every single one. Help Please!

Audition CC: Playback works fine and then suddenly goes silent?

Audition has been working fine until just now. When I hit the spacebar/play button, it will play normally for a while and then suddenly go silent. The tracker keeps moving and the timer keeps going but there is no sound. Occasionally, the sound comes back on. Also, if I pause it once it goes silent, wait a few seconds, and then hit play, it starts working again, but will then go silent later on.
Any idea what is going on?

This sounds frighteningly like a problem I had--except I described it as sounding like an old 78 record rather than tape.
What interface and driver are you using?
In my case, the problem was intermittent but gradually became more frequent. It also occurred in Premiere Pro and, in that programme it eventually became almost every time.
In desperation, I finally tried changing the device class of my interface (an M Audio M Track) to MME and the problem immediately went away, pointing the finger very much at the ASIO drivers I'd been using. However, these had been rock solid for ages (and not changed) so I put it down to a problem between the drivers and one of the all-to-frequent Windows "updates".
Fortunately, the latency issues of MME weren't an issue for me--I have a different interface for multitrack work.
However, the kicker in this tail is that, a couple of weeks ago (after a few more Windows updates) the problem suddenly went away (I'd also reinstalled the ASIO driver but, as I'd done that before, dunno if that played a role).
Anyway, long and convoluted, but it might be worth trying MME even if only as an experiment. If that fixes it, a bug report to your interface manufacturer might be in order.

Restart the computer and immediately hold the Option key down.
Select the Recovery partition and continue.
On the next pane, select Disk Utility and continue.
When DU opens, select your hard drive in the left column, click the First Aid tab, the click Repair Disk.
When that is done, quit DU and restart in the usual way.

If you boot in verbose mode (hold down command-V at boot) do you see some words that indicate where in the process it's failing?

My first thought was that maybe when you imported you chose to leave the files in place rather than copy then to the iMovie library..but I can't see where that option is now.
I too have created a short movie from load f clips..but can't export or share either..the 'Share 'menu is empty..you go to it and no sub menu appears.

Try running in Safe mode. This leaves out some video drivers. Which results in machine not using advanced video hardware.

How do I record a numeric output values and then use them?

So at the moment I just have a numeric value being display with a numeric indicator. I want to record this value somewhere for later use. Such as doing calculations. I want to store many numeric values that are outputed to this single indicator at different times and then pull them from the stored place and use them. I don't know much about arrays and storage stuctures in labview. Can someone give me some directions please? Thanks

My code shows movement control for a motor.
I have a forwards button which increments +1 for every iteration of the loop. Each loop sends a pulse to the motor to move it.
I have a backwards button which increments -1 for every iteration of the loop. In this loop i have just placed the direction pulse which tells the motor to turn the oposite way.
these increments add onto a counter which is shown as the numerical indicator, used to show the position of the motor.
I also have a reset button on this motor. To change the position to zero.
So now what i want is to put the value of the position of the motor into an array which will then stay at that value in the array even when the position moves again. So i can record different positions.
I then want to use these values. so i want to know how to get them from the array to the Number of iterations for a For loop so i can move the motor by that amount.
Your help is appriciated, ive already spent so much time getting to this stage.

Get first value and then remove remaining in query output

we have a query where we want to count the number of sales orders and show this count by created on month and salesperson. trick is that sales orders have multiple line items so the same order can show in multiple months.
lets say order 1000 has 3 line items. each item is for month 1,2 and 3 of 2009. the report is showing as such:
1.2009 1
2.2009 1
3.2009 1
each value represents the same order number. we only want to see 1.2009 and then 2 and 3 show nothing because the counting of the order should happen 1X. so the first month it finds an order number in, it counts it for that month and if it finds the same order for a later month then don't count it.
is there a way to accomplish this?

If you simply want to create count on sales order, then in query designer, just create a calculated key figure in that use option of formula variable,
create one new formula variable of processing type replacement path and assign that sales order number characteristic to reference characteristic.
in next replacement path tab
Replace variable with - Infoobject
Replace with - Attributes
Attributes - characteristic reference.
For calculated key figure use aggregation after option.

If you are getting Siri when you double tap, then your home button must be sticking. Siri comes up when you hold the home button. Try tapping quickly twice. When that happens, the multi-tasking list comes up and you will see the app icon and then a thumbnail, or reduced size view of the app above it. You put your finger on that thumbnail and swipe upwards with your finger.
For that issue, you might want to do a reset of the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. This will not affect your data.
To be honest, your novel is a little difficult to read, and I think you put too much information in there, and a lot of it is unnecessary. Be to the point and just add information necessary to understand the issue.

Here's a relatively easy way to make sure the printer has the latest firmware, which may well solve your issue:
There is a free app in the App Store called Epson iPrint. Download and install it on your iPad, then open it, and see if it sees your printer. If so, click Maintenance in the lower left, and then click Printer Settings on the bottom. Then click Firmware Update. It will detect if your printer has the latest firmware and install it if not.
Hopefully that will fix your issue.
