Datasync Connection thats like the GroupWise 4 API Gateway

At GWAVAcon or BrainShare it was discussed a connector that worked like the old GroupWise 4 API Gateway. I have be looking for the software and documentation for it but have not found it. Is it released, and if so what is it's name, where is the software and documentation?

Why do I get error -1074388985 at CAN Connect Terminals when the Channel API has been stopped?

While trying to establish synchronized CAN and DAQ using the Channel API, I get the error -1074388985 while attempting to connect the RTSI Clock to the master timebase. The error message occurs each time I try to run the example VIs shipped with LabVIEW 6.1. I am using a Series 2 PCI CAN card with a 6034E DAQ card. Any ideas? Tech support did not have a solution.

This warning means you have tried to change an attribute on a running object. This causes the warning and should not take place.
Use the "Initialize' function instead of the "initStart" Function, then change the Attribute and use the "Start" function to start the communication, or stop the communication using the "stop" Function before you change any Attribute and then start again.

Connected or not connected that is the question

I have had 4g for two weeks now and nothing but problems. When connecting through VZA Manager it will show connected but I have no internet. DNS will resolve fine but unable to ping and of course connect to anything. Why show connected if its not getting out???
Sometime hitting disconnect and connecting back will fix the issue other times its a good 15 to 20 mins before connecting. Once Im connecting It works great! Great speed ping for what 10 15 mins before the hole process starts over.     I am wishing I researched a little more before upgrading the two unlimited 3g devices I had. Very disappointed !!

I have windows 7 Enterprise
1st I do not see Activation under options. Ive not seen that since we got the 4g card and i updated the VZ access manager
2nd   I tried to delete the connection but I still connect to the networks that do not work
3rd    OMG did creating the apn screw my card up after connecting it lasted about 15 secs and still grabbed the network that is not working for me. When i went back to VZ manager 4g would drop and 3g would come up card would power off and started getting wmc604 error .
The APN setup added the (+CGDCONT: 5,"IP","vzwadmin","0.0.0.0",0,0) and removed the
+CGDCONT: 1,"IPV6","vzwims","0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0",0,0 and some how the moble ip turned to off.   I was able to get the ipv6 added back but still have an extra . Im not sure how to remove the 5th. Any ideas?

47TL515U Internet -- Connected or not connected, that is the question

   I just bought a 47 TL515U. I am experiencing problems setting up the (wireless) network. I followed the Easy Setup using PBC, Page 63, and got the message that the setup succeeded.
   However, when I click on Netflix, the Netflix page screen shows the message that I am, "Not connected to the Internet."
   I am able to confirm the settings configured in Wireless Setup using the Wireless Information procedure on Page 64. The Status shows as "Connected", Signal Strong, with all of the other information coinciding with my wireless network. So everything here appears that I have completed network setup and am connected.
Yet, when I perform the Network Connection Test on Page 66, sure enough, I receive the message, "Unable to complete network connection. Please check your network settings."
   I have an n router, I am successfully connected to my wireless network with my laptop computer, and have had absolutely no connection issues there.
   What shall I do next ?

I have now connected TV to router with network cable; I can connect this way. To make another attempt at connecting wirelessly, I have also now done the Easy Setup using PIN, entering that PIN to my router. My router thinks I am now wirelessly connected. Would that it were so; as before, the Network Connection Test tells me that I am not connected..
So I have now performed Wireless Setup:
   Easy Setup using PBC
   Easy Setup using PIN
   Assisted Setup
   Manual Setup
   IP Adress Setup (Manual)
   DNS Setup (Manual)
When I go to Wireless Information, the Status shows connected. It also shows Authentication as WPA2-PSK and Encryption as AES (even though, in Manual Setup, it said it couldn't connect because those 2 items were incorrect).

Addon has failed to connect to the DI API. Service Not found

I've upgraded database B1 8.8 SP0 PL11 to B1 8.8 SP0 PL15.
Addon was complied on B1 8.8. SP0 PL11 envrionment.
I've error message when I started addon.
Addon_Name addon has failed to connect to the DI API.
Error Details:
Service not found.
DI API was uninstalled and re installed.
And I deleted SM_OBS_DLL directory.
But I can not resolve this issue.

Hi Joanne,
I had exactly the same problem with patch 15 after an upgrade from 8.8 patch 13. The SBO client didn't automatically update so I had to use Add/Remove programs to remove the old client and DI API and then the new client install failed from the B1_SHR folder with a 1158 error (no description).
What I did to correct it was install the DI API from the <servername>\B1_SHR\B1DIAPI folder and then run the client install afterwards. This time the client install worked fine and I can run addons that use the DI API. I think there was some registry entry issues, maybe with the upgrader or the client installer.

Hi does anyone know where I can download the GroupWise API for Windows if it exists at all?
Currently I am moving my GroupWise system off NetWare and Windows 2003 server, but I am using the GroupWise API 4.1

yes Jim that is a good idea, I think may leave a single NetWare 6.5 server running just to be the master and also to the XNTPD service that a lot of my machines run!
One other point is how will the API connect to my GroupWise that will be on another box (or VM machine) ? Does the API only run on UNC or can it run over IP?

You could always put a small VMware machine running NetWare *on* the
Windows box, to handle the API gateway. Would at least eliminate the
need to leave an old piece of hardware up and running just for that.

I lose the connection when closing the CMD

I have configured a standalone listener as following:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin> java -Dapex.home=D:\list -Dapex.images=C:\images -jar D:\apex.war
Afterward,
If I close the CMD, I will lose the connection, and I have to reconfigure it again.
If I open APEX locally , I mean by using the shortcut "Get Started With Oracle Database 11g Express Edition" , Then I will lose the connection that uses the default port of the listener, that is 8080.
After I configured the listener I got this message on the CMD

I'm not sure I got your question right, but I'll try to find some solution anyway.
If I close the CMD, I will lose the connection, and I have to reconfigure it again.That's what happens when a shell is terminated - all associated processes will stop as well. However, if you have a apex-config.xml in your apex.home you shouldn't need to configure your APEX Listener each time your start it, but it would reuse an existing configuration.
If I open APEX locally , I mean by using the shortcut "Get Started With Oracle Database 11g Express Edition" , Then I will lose the connection that uses the default port of the listener, that is 8080.Now, if you have XE running on the same (local) machine as you have your APEX Listener running in standalone mode, you probably have a port conflict: By default, both APEX Listener in standalone mode and the Embedded PL/SQL Gateway (EPG) use port 8080. The EPG is activated as web server for APEX in XE after a fresh installation, the APEX Listener would be an alternative in that case. You can either stop the EPG, or reconfigure any of the two web servers to use a different port, if you want to run them parallel.
To change the port used by the APEX Listener in standalone mode, you simply add another parameter to the startup: -Dapex.port=8888 and you're done.
To change the port used by the EPG, connect as sys and run the following
EXEC DBMS_XDB.SETHTTPPORT(8888);
COMMIT;If you want to disable the EPG, simply set the port to *0* .

The command for creating that service using NSSM could look as follows
nssm install APEX_Listener D:\oracle\APEX_Listener\apex_listener.1.1.2.131.15.23\startup.cmdYou can edit the service properties afterwards, e.g. change the start mode from "Automatic" to "On Demand".

Groupwise 7 Gateway for Exchange

I am testing the Novell Groupwise Gateway for Exchange SP2. I have already tested the API Gateway but wanted to try the newer version because it will be supported for awhile. I downloaded the install and went through all the instructions. I am using Groupwise 7.0.1 and Exchange 2003. The install went fine and the configurations are correct but I must be missing something. When I go to start the Gateway Application it starts then stops. I checked on the GW MTA and it says the link is Closed. The reason the link it closed it says can't create directories. I checked the Gateway application and it shows Groupwise link closed and other link Open. I logged into a ws as the same user to check the rights and I was able to create a new directory in the domain directory. I changed the logging to verbose on the Exchange Gateway to see if I can see an error and it says trying to re-establish GW link.

The gateway directory has to be in less that 8 chars, or at least 8.3...
On Netware the agents have this restriction.

Accessing the Admin API via Linux (and hopefully Python)

I have been looking through the available documentation and past forum
entries but I see nothing really on point.
It is possible to have a complete GW system on Linux, from server to
client. So if it is possible to administer a GW system from Linux using
Console One, it should be possible to access the API from Linux.
Can anyone point me towards the appropriate documentaion? Thanks

All a matter of resources, Bob. They've had an admin api under
development for years, just didn't have time to make it ready for Bonsai.
You are correct, however you must have a win32 box (or try wine, but I
doubt that's worth it). One friend of mine then wrappered the whole
thing in a SOAP service, so he could mostly avoid thinking about windows.

Where is API Gateway Functionality

Our GroupWise system is currently on NetWare servers. We want to move our GroupWise system to run on Windows servers.
There seems to be no API Gateway for Windows. How can I still do the things the NLM API gateway supported, when running GroupWise on Windows servers???

However there are two issues that I don't think have been addressed that make the old API unusable:
1) URLs in the RSS feeds are not publicly accessible links. For example:

Is there any way to incorporate elements from the 2006 namespace in an application that uses the 2

I have a desktop app built in AIR using the 2009 namespace. Is there any way to incorporate any of the of the xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" components into it?
Or better yet, since the AIR namespace is sort of layered on top of the spark namespace, is it possible to do the same with the 2006 namespace?

xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx" is the spark mx address, which is completely different than the original 2006 mx library.
The thing is: I love AIR, hate spark, loved the 2006 pre-spark functionality. It is so much more convenient and user friendly. Given the choice between having the display seperate from the processing, or having it be convenient and easy to work with, I choose the later option.
For the most part it seems like the AIR api is like a layer on top of the spark - flex system.. I would like to be able to over lay the same AIR functionality on top of the the old system....

How did Apple do that on the Aperture tutorial DVD intro?

If you have the new Aperture software, on the DVD tutorial which came with Aperture, the intro that plays when you first play the movie is very good and I would like to know how they did this.
What I am very interested to know is on the index page for Output, there is an image of a photo album book, the pages turn on this book every few seconds and it looks very good, I would love to know how to replicate this.

It's not easy in Motion, my guess is that, like the exploding photographs, it was done in After Effects.
A 3D plane in AE can have two faces and you can place the rotation axis along the far edge. As the page turns toward the camera, you get that distortion, elegantly portraying a page turn without the way too commonly-seen curling edge.
