Date Fields in CN60 Report

Hi,
I need to have the Basic Start and Finish dates fields of the WBS elements in the CN60 Transaction. How to get the the dates fields?

Try using the dates field in the User fields tab. Make these fields mandatory. Any changes done to these fields will reflect in CN60. Alternatively you can discuss with your ABAPer if it is possible to populate these fields with the dates in Basic Start and Basic Finish fields maintianed in the Dates tab. Any changes done here will subsequently get populated in the dates filed in the user fields tab and will reflect in CN60.
This is just a guess. Give it a try and revert.

Using the same data field on a report

Hi can anyone help me please? New to crystal reports and I have added the same Data field on a report being and I need to filter these one for Credits and the other for Debits. When I use Select Expert it effects both columns. I know that there is a logical way of doing this but being new have yet to be able to find it. Please help.

you can put a block filter on the data saying ex facturation is equal to c or to d leaving you only with credit or debit amounts.

How do I apply filters or limit the rows on my report using a Date field in SQL report builder 3.0?

I have a status of completed and a date field in the dataset. The date field is either empty or contains a date. All 2015 dates are holding dates.
So how can I limit the report to only pull completed status with an empty date or a holding date?
I have not been able to set an OR option on a date field filter and if I add two filters on the date column one for empty one for > 12/31/2014 then it treats it as an "and" and pulls nothing from the list I have in sharepoint.
any help will be appreciated.

In Reporting Services, the relationship of filters is “And”, and there is no option to change the relationship from “And” to “Or”. While we can use “or” operator within the expression to create one filter to integrated all filters to work around this
issue.
We can add a filter as follows in the dataset to limit the rows in your report:
Expression: =Fields!date.Value is nothing or Fields!date.Value>"12/31/2014" Type: Boolean
Operator: =
Value: true

Sending reports to various recipients using a data field on the report

Hi,
I am currently running Crystal Reports Server 2008 with SP 3 applied.
I was wondering if this was possible.
I have a report that I would like to be sent to an email address field on the table that the report runs from. Fields are something like this:
Amount Due, Invoice #, Client's email address, Date
What I would like CRS to do is send out emails depending on what's on the table. Obviously I would need the server to send out the report to a particular client with only the records that should be for them.
I, for some reason, thought there was an ability to add a field from the report on the email itself using brackets or some sort of variable but I'm not sure if this is true.
If anyone can help, I would appreciate it greatly.

You can use Publications for that. As far as I know this should be supported natively in CRS 2008 with SP3.

You have to have CALs (concurrent access licenses) though.

Validation on Date Field in tabular Report

Hi All,
I have manually created the Tabular report and in that I have TWO DATE field
1)Start Date
2)End Date
Now i want to put validation on start date as - Start Date Should Be More than sysdate.
and validation on End date as - End Date should be More taht Start Date.
How to put the validation ?

Adding a Date Field to a Report Painter

Hi,
Could someone please throw light on adding a date field (for example, scheduled finish date of network) to a report painter report? I don't think this field (or any date field for that matter) is available as a characteristic for report painter.

i'm in the process of making a similar change,
copying to a ZPROGRAM is not so difficult, but as i told you you have to add your new field to VBMTV structure, and copy the includes that you need to change,
P.S. Note, when you copy you have to change some SELECT statements where
it's selecting from T180V table based on sy-repid, you hav to change sy-repid to SAPMV75A, as there's some configuration done for this.

Since Adobe Connect 9 hosted release missing filter date field in registration report tab

Prior to the new version we use to do the below steps and get a Filter Reports option. Now that option is missing. Is there another way to pull this report? Is this a bug and can be resolved? Am I missing something?

-PREP Master 2011 1.0 (Name of our Main Folder)
-Click on PREP Master (Cty.) 2011 1.0 (Name of on demand stored in main folder)

If you go to the By Answers Tab you get the Filter Reports link. If you go to pull Training reports you get the filter link. But going to Event Management, locating the event, and then trying to pull a report on Registration does NOT give you filter reports like it use to. We need this.

Sorting not working correctly for date field in alv report

Hi All,
My report displays many rows also containing date type fields of bldat,budat .
When I sort the report selecting field of type bldat budat the sorting is not correct for the year.
Ex:
Invoice doc dat
01-25-2011
01-21-2011
02-02-2011
10-25-2010
11-20-2010
If I use ascending then it is sorted as :
Invoice doc dat
01-21-2011
01-25-2011
02-02-2011
10-20-2010
10-25-2010
Why the sorting is not working correct for year.(2010 records should have been first).
The field wa_tab-bldat is of type char10.
It is populated as wa_tab-bldat = bsak-bldat.
Kindly suggest what can be done.

Custom date fields in Interactive Report

Hi,
I am using newly patched version of Apex - 4.0.2.00.06
What I am trying to do is to have two datepicker fields P84_DATE_FROM and P84_DATE_TO in separate HTML region, on the page that has IR / Interactive Report, that will be filter in report source.
In debug mode I noticed that values that are picked with datepicker are not binding in report sql.

date between to_date(:P84_DATE_FROM,'DD.MM.YYYY') and to_date(:P84_DATE_TO,'DD.MM.YYYY')
Do I have to force submit on Go button before it executes gReport.search('SEARCH')? Is it the right way to go about this?

I was informed by SAP few months back that Interactive Reports can not be enhanced with custom fields. I don't see any documentation regarding this.
You may want to check with SAP also.

Date field positions vertically and overlaps other report items

I have a date field on my reports and they are positioned on the right of the report canvas where they have enough cusion space. Somehow they[label and the date itself] are coming appearing on multiple lines..one below the other instead of appearing in a single line. My settings are:
Vertical Alignment:Fixed
Horizontal Alignment:Fixed
Base Printing:Enclosing
Keep with anchoring object:No
The field displays whatever fits on 8 units on the grid and then moves the remaining data on next line. My reports are not character mode.

I think I need to expound on my message.
I am actually upgrading from Oracle reports 6i to oracle reports 9i. The date field prints successfully on one line in the margin for the oracle 6i reports. HOwever there is some wrapping for the oracle 9i reports. What i have noticed is that when I place the date field anywhere within the range 0 - 8 units on the paper layout grid in the margin, the date prints successfully. Otherwise it wraps. I have no such problem in Oracle 6i.

Date field in Reporting

We need to display the Start date and the End date along with the time taken to complete the project in a report. I have created a measure called date and the type is a text field. I was able to load data into the date field. But , I am unable to bring the date field into the report. There is a error which is coming. Is it possible to display the date field in the report / KPI ?

I am trying out both the methods. My client is a infrastructure company. It has a number of projects . The client wants to monitor the performance of each of his projects and the overall Delay. My requirement is to display a report which has the actual start date , planned start date , actual end date , planned end date , actual , budget and delay.
I tried to load the date fields into the PAS as a text field. The data load was successful. But when designing the report , I am getting an error. Is it a problem related to text variables ? Is it possible to bring the text variables onto the UI ?
Is there a way to build a report on the data from initiatives in SSM ? Do we need another reporting toll to achieve the same ?

Report displays date field on server as timestamp, despite format

I formatted a date field in my report as 01/03/2009.
This looks ok when testing in Crystal Reports.
On the server the date displays as 01/03/2009 12:00:00 AM.
I really want to get rid of the time, as it doesn't fit in the report.
I noticed that in an older report the field of the same date is typed as timestamp. In this case the server display correctly.
The problem is, I cannot figure out how/why the date is typed differently in the 2 reports, e.g. date vs timestamp.
Help!?

Ah, that explains it. Some JDBC drivers handle date field types differently.
Be sure you are using the latest JDBC jars from Oracle and make sure you have the correct Java path in the PATH statement.
Other than that it is likely a limitation of the driver itself.
Try using the native Oracle driver in the database wizard and see if you get the same results.
And as suggested go into the Report Options and see if any of the those switches help. Also right click on the field and select Format and see if those option also help you.

Using one prompt for multiple fields in a report

We are using Oracle CRM on Demand, Release 16.
I have a report I am building that involves four different date fields. I'd like to give the user the ability to enter a date range for the date fields via a Prompt when the report executes. But the date range would be the same for all four date fields. Is there a way to capture the date range in one prompt, but use that same range in all four date fields in the report?

I recommend to use two dashboard prompts, one for each date field of your range and each will set a presentation variable.
Then use the FILTER metric function and reference the presentation variable.

Date format in Oracle reports

Hello everyone,
I need my report ro show dates with HH:MM:SS. But the report only shows dates as DD-MON-RR. I think I chose all the correct format masks in the report builder (DD-MON-RR HH24:MI:SS), and in the rtf tags.
Another point is that all the date fields in the report , if I look at the Property inspector, have Width 9, and I can not change it because the column type is Database-Scalar.
Any ideas?

Hi Olga,
If the Date in the database is date (not datetime) means you cannot use a DD-MON-RR HH:MI:SS in your reports.
If you want to show date with time means, change the properties in Oracle Forms of that date field and assign datetime as datatype.
So that the value inserted to the field will become datetime. and automatically if you use this column in your report you will get date along with time.
