Date in WebProxy Server 3.6SP7 or previous versions missing?

I don't know if this product is valid to answers, but I will do my question in this forum:
I installed iPlanet Web Proxy Server 3.6 SP7 in Solaris. When I run a telnet command to connect to default port 8080, and I write the next instruction
get / http/1.1
and a couple of RETURN, I see the next banner:

Why I see date in GMT timezone, when my system has fine date and time? My timezone in the operating system is GMT-5. The banner is similar under previous versions of this product.

Complicated....The http RFC (rfc2616) section 14.18 states that dates MUST be send in a standard format (RFC 1123 section 5.2.14). However, it only states that the response should include the timezone. So in this case, the time on your reply is right (since it also specifies the timezone).
But, to complicate things further, this points to RFC 822 that indicates that hosts should can use time zones, or Universal Time...but it also permits Universal Time to be referenced as GMT.
So to answer your question, the proxy is sending the correct time (just not the timezone your were expecting). And the browser will handle that properly when making cache calculations. And lastly, your proxy logs WILL show up in local time if you specify the correct timezone on your server, and specify the "[%SYSDATE%]" variable in your log format. (Server Status --> Log Preferences --> System date)

BUG: Facebook for Tablets (and previous version) missing some friends

I assume the new app, while written using Enyo, shares some of the code from the earlier version. Like that version, some of my friends are not appearing in my Friends list in the app (but are visible on the Facebook site). I have no idea how to provide you with a "reproducible" case other than to ask one of these friends to allow an HP/Palm engineer to "friend" him (or provide them with access to my own account).

It may help if you can obtain a screen capture of the friend on Facebook site and from the Facebook application. Once you load up the Facebook application, you can also create a log file of what's going on the device by going to:
Launcher -> Settings -> Device Info -> Device Info again on top left corner -> custom application -> ##logs#
From there create a log with a description.

Service Manager data warehouse management server Installation fails

In Virtual Machine Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard with my user being a Local Admin and SQL Admin. I tried to do a Service Manager data warehouse management server
first installation I am facing the following image as error:
In the event viewer I get the following error:

Uninterrupted availability of data in SQL Server

I'm trying to solve a problem my company has in its data warehouse of data availability. We have dozens of transactional databases in production from which we pull data to create a cache of data that we make available to reports for both internal and external
customers.
The problem I'm trying to solve is I want all of the people using the data to still be able to access the previous version of the data (maybe data from an hour ago) while the new data is being refreshed. I have looked at a lot of ways this is possible. From
the very manual, the built in solutions, or a custom drive cloning solution but I'd like to hear from the community what people think is the best way to go about this. The server version is SQL Server 2008, but we could install 2012 in time for this need.
Right now I'm leaning towards AlwaysOn Availability Groups but if there's something better I'd love to know about it.

Thank you for your response. It took a few days but I finally had time to look at the article you linked. Database snapshots look like they are exactly what I need at first, but I read two lines in the article that make me think they may not be.
Under "Limitations of Database Snapshots"
When a page getting updated on the source database is pushed to a snapshot, if the snapshot runs out of disk space or encounters some other error, the snapshot becomes suspect and must be deleted.
And under the section titled "Disk Space Requirements"
Database snapshots consume disk space. [...] Compared to a full copy of a database, however, snapshots are highly space efficient.
A snapshot requires only enough storage for the pages that change during its lifetime. Generally, snapshots are kept for a limited time, so their size is not a major concern.
These two statements seem to say that the snapshot changes as the underlying database changes. I would like a snapshot that remains unchanged while I refresh the underlying database. After which I can refresh the snapshot so that people querying against
the snapshot get data from a version of the database in a state where the refresh is complete. I don't want people to query against incomplete, partially refreshed data.
Is there a way to tell the snapshot to not respect any updates that occur in the source database? Or maybe at least ignore updates for a period of time?
Snapshot does not get updated.. As you update the data,, the snapshot will store the old data in its file and new data will go the actual database.
so, when you create the database snapshot, the snapshot database FILE does not contain any data. as changes happen - the old data is moved to snapshot file and the new data goes to actual database file. it ineeds to keep the old data, so when you query
your database snapshot, it can give your prior data back.
if you want update lot of datas, i do not think snapshot will br good solution. it is good to test something quick and\or where there are less data changes. if you update all the data, your snapshot would end to similar size as the original database.
if this works, you can quickly generate another snapshot and drop the old one. every new snapshot as said, will start from 0 and grows in size as changes happen.
Also you database snapshots are like new databases, you should change your connection strings to point to the right snapshot.

Seems you need to restore the OperationsManager Database from the previous backup, try the methods in the kb.

Hi Planung,
For deletion of data SARA transaction is used. Also deletion indicator is required to set for the documents which you are not using. Use the bapi BAPI_DOCUMENT_DELETE for deleting the documents which are set with deletion indicator.

Thousand separator
Dec. point separator
Field separator
Field delimiter
Then you can use the Same Characterstics while creating the Flat file & also passing the same in Info Package

You cannot use OPEN DATASET to transfer data from application server to presentation server.
You can do the following :
<b>Do 1st point in BACKGROUND</b>
1. Read the data file from application server into an internal table using OPEN DATASET
<b>Do 2nd point in Foreground</b>
2. Once you get the data into an internal table, then use FM GUI_DOWNLOAD to download it on presentation server
You cannot use the above 2 point together in Background because its not possible. Hence you need program it partially in background and partially in foreground.

i want to Download 350MB(Around 2.5Million record of Table BSEG) of data from Application Server to Presentation server..
i have tried with the transaction CG3Y and program using open dataset,read dataset,close dataset,ws_download...but went in vain,,,ended with TIMEOUT ERROR..will OPEN DATASET 'path' FOR OUTPUT FILTER 'Compress' be helpful

you can do the FTP with Unix commands..
initially connect to the application server by using command
FTP <app server ip>,then it willl ask for username and password... after successful connection you can use the following commnads to transfer file
lcd <destination path name>(set the dest path)
cd <source path>(set the sorce path),
get <filename to be transfererd>( do the transfer)....
You can do same with ABAP code also, for this you need to use some function modules like..
FTP_CONNECT ( to establish the connection)
FTP_COMMAND ( to execute the commands like cd, lcd get,put)
finally FTP_DISCONNECT to close the open connection...

I have Firefox 5 now, in the admin section of my web site when I edit a change in the data it does not make the change on my data file. There was no problem in my previous version.

How can I return to a previous version that did not have problem? On Safari on my lap top Mac, I do not have this problem. We tried this on another Windows computer with a 3.5 or 3.6 Firefox version and there was no problem.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site. Note: this is likely to log you out, so finish up whatever you are working on first.

Some sites appear to be incompatible with Firefox 5. The difficulty is tracking down the problem. To see whether it is caused by the new stricter HTML parser in Firefox 4+, you can turn that off. Please save any unfinished work first.
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the filter box, type or paste '''html5''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click '''html5.parser.enable''' to toggle it to false (it should turn bold).
Then return to the problem page, reload and try again. Does that make any difference?
Here's the process to roll back if needed:

Hi,
There is no other option for uploading the data from the application server to the internal table without using OPEN DATASET and CLOSE DATASET. Even if you find the FM internal logic in FM uses these keywords to read the data from Application server.
