Date Navigator Blocked by Javascript

Hi all,
I have an app that has an input field associated with a date input. When deployed the input field shows up with the button to bring up the date navigator calendar. When I click on button I get a JavaScript error saying access denied. Has anyone seen this behavior with the date navigator?

Hi Armin,
Thanks for the posting. I do use the full domain when I specify the domain name for the J2EE engine, but I still get the "access denied" javascript error. The app is running on a backend J2EE hosting the app.

According to your description, there is a main report with more than 100 rows of summary information, when users click the item of the row, the report need to jump to detail information shows as graph. The problem you are facing is that you are not sure
subreport, drilldown or drillthrough report should be used? You hope to set display detail information in the main report and keep high performance of report.
In Reporting Services, each subreport instance is a separate query execution and a separate report processing task. Subreports are recommended when there are just a few subreport instances. We should not use subreports inside a group when there are many
group instances, instead, consider using drillthrough reports. Drilldown reports process all data even when the data is first hidden. In order to improve the performance of the report, we can split drilldown reports into parameterized drillthrough reports,
because Drillthrough reports do not run until a user clicks the drillthrough link in the main report.
In this case, we can consider using drilldown or drillthrough report. In drilldown report, when we click a plus or minus button to expand or collapse a section of a report, the detail data will be displayed in place. By using drillthrough report, when we
click the link in the main report, the detail data will be displayed, we can come back to the main report by click return button in the drillthrough report.

BEx - empty value(#) in navigation Block (filter)

Hello experts,
i have navigation attribute in navigation block (query). It means that data in filter are read directly from master.
This nav. attribute has 2 compounded IOs.
i can see value in filter as below.
#/#/001
#/#/002
#/#/003
1/2/004
2/3/005
The values #/#/001, #/#/002, ... are stored in master data table. I would like to see only rows where fields are filled (1/2/004, 2/3/005, ...).
Do you have any idea ?
Maybe it's possible to supress these values in Info Object - folder "Master Data" - "Master Data Access" - "Own Implementation" - class

Input variable takes value from current filter setting in navigation block

Hi
Is there is a way in SAP, maybe with customer exit, to fill a input variable for 0CALMONTH (which in the end will get a value like "06.2005") with the current value from the selected month in the filter settings of the time characteristic 0CALMONTH in the navigation block of a query?
I guess the filter values are transferred back to the OLAP engine so the server knows the filter values of course and theoretically might be able to fill a variable with it...?

Thanks for your suggestion Vikram. But if i change in the Info-object leve, i hope it will be reflected in all the Queries that are using this info-object. I want it for a particular query alone.
Also, in the Info-object level, for the option 'Query execution Filter value' the value is given as 'Value in Master Data Table' only. Still, it is User specific.

I've got an "System error in program SAPLRRK0 and form CACHE_UNLOCK_FF-01-" when I expand a characteristic hierarchy in a report and right after that perform filtering on the same characteristic using the generic navigation block of the same report.

Read Mode Navigation Block

Is it possible to use the read mode as set in the InfoObject maintainance in the navigation block of a web application?
The Parameter BOOKED_VALUES can only be set to either M,D or Q and this setting is valid vor all InfoObjects.
I don't want to use BOOKED_VALUES_N to specify the read mode for each object but use the read mode as set in the infoobject maintainance.

There is a setting in SPRO to change the Read mode of the InfoProvider Properties.
What is the impact of changing to 'Query to read all data at once'?
Reporting Agent -
I enabled 'Precalculated Data' for web template read mode. I ran the reporting agent to pre-calculate data.
I am trying to test whether if the data is pre-calcualated then will the improve the performance of the hierarchy.
IMPACT -
1. All th other navigation options are diaslbed, like 'arrow mark' to open web item tray.
2. Hierarchy nodes are not opening.
3. Context menu got disabled
It looks like a complete static report.
Did someone experienced this problem?

Navigation Blocks and Charts

Hi! Is there anyway to have Charts update on-demand based on any drilling down of characteristics in the navigation block?
If I have one navigation block, chart, and table that all use a specific query, any drill downs of characteristcs/KF that I make through the navigation block are updated in the table view but the chart doesn't change at all (constantly static). Is there anyway to have the chart reflect simple, different views made through the navigation block? (i.e: sales by region, sales by country, etc.)

Thanks for the reply.
The chart and table are both using the same data provider [query] as the navigation block. There are three free characteristics that can be drilled down on in the navigation block. When making a change in the nav block, the table is updated properly but the chart remains the same (all the characteristics are free characteristics and not part of the Rows definition - for the query). Is there anything else I might need to do to the chart (it's a Pie Chart)?

How to add variables to navigational block?

How to add variables to navigtional block.
I have placed navigational block but I am not finding option to add variables to navigational block.Can any one help me out.

In earlier version when I selecte the navigtaional block and add some characterstic to that navigational block then those characterstic are avaialble for the navigation purpose.But in this version I could add navigation pane .But I am not finding any option to add the characterstics.
But when I execute the WAD I am getting fallowing error.
In the Web Application Designer, create a data provider with the name %NM% in template ZMARKTING_PERFOM_GROUP, or change the reference to the data provider in Web item NAVIGATION_PANE_ITEM_1
Please help me.

Passing variable values to the navigation block

Hi WAD Experts,
I have a requirement regarding passing variable values to the navigation block. User requirement is first give the selections on the selection screen and then after executign output should display in browser. In the output page we have a navigation block. So when user gives selections those selections should also populate in the navigation block. Your help will be appreciated.

if your variable is 'Changeable at Query Navigation' the chosen values will appear in the Navigationblock.
Variables which are 'Not Changeable at Query Navigation'
will not appear.
You can set this Property when you create a Variable.

Event dates are not bolded by Date Navigator in Outlook 2010

Event dates are not bolded by Date Navigator in Outlook 2010 on my own calendar. Events are set to busy but it is not working. View Settings > Other Settings > "Bolded dates in Date Navigator represent days containing items" is
checked. This previously worked for 2+ years but recently stopped working. All plugins were disabled, Outlook 2010 was uninstalled and then re-installed. OST file was deleted and re-synchronized with Exchange 2007. While the OST was re-synchronizing the
bolding worked properly but upon next restart of Outlook it went away. Another symptom is that my Scheduling Assistant does not show my free/busy times correctly in my local view. If I look at my own schedule via the Scheduling Assistant of another user, the
free/busy times show up correctly. My webmail account also correctly shows bolded dates and free/busy suggesting that this is a local problem. Some screen shots below. Anyone have any ideas as to what I need to tweak? Using Oulook 2010 v.14.7116.500 (32-bit).

How to create and use Data Vault with HTML/JavaScript (SAPUI5) for Mobile Apps?

Hello,
I am creating a demo Enterprise Mobile App, for cross platform and I want to use the Data Vault.
I am not able to figure out how to implement the Data Vault with HTML/JavaScript i.e. SAPUI5 for cross platform mobile apps I have a tutorial, but it is for Android based apps. Where as I want it for iOS as well. I guess, in this case, implementing the Data Vault using SAPUI5 over HTML and JavaScript would be better.
If anyone has any links or sample code to implement Data vault in HTML/JavaScript (SAPUI5) or specific for iOS apps, it would be great.

Set Default Value for a Date Navigator

Is it possible to set a default value for a date navigator.I mean with out picking the date from the Navigator, on load of the view itself i need a particualr date to be displayed (say 12/31/2000).

create a value attribute of type date bind to the input field and in wdInit()of view controller write this code..
wdContext.currentContextElement().setValueAttrName(new Date(Calendar.getInstance().getTimeInMillis()));
means ...
u r setting the date entered into some context ....
type of that attribute must be of date and for initial value write the above code ..if it is under node element create nodeelement bind it to context and write the code accordingly..

Using Range Option in Date Navigator

Dear Experts,
I am using the Range option in the Selection mode of a Date navigator.
I have bind two attributes to the First and Last selected property of the Date navigator..
I have implemented the On Day select event method to get the dates and fill in my Input fields.
But When I am clicking on the date the attributes bind to First and last selected dates are giving the same Value.
It is not fetching the two different dates.
Note: I have declared a node with carnality 0:1 and created tow attributes for the first and Last selected dates.
How can i get the Range of dates?

I am trying to use data navigator UI element. My requirement is to highlight colours on few dates i.e absent days of an employee.
Saw the help documents but couldn find how to do it.
