Date Navigator

HI Experts
i'm using date navigator which contains 3 months ...and select type is Range...
and i'm having two input fields .... that is Starting Date and End Date
what i need is if i select range of date that ex
jan 4 , to ......jan 23
starting input field has to show jan 4
End Date input field has to sow jan 23
please give me some suggestions

Event dates are not bolded by Date Navigator in Outlook 2010 on my own calendar. Events are set to busy but it is not working. View Settings > Other Settings > "Bolded dates in Date Navigator represent days containing items" is
checked. This previously worked for 2+ years but recently stopped working. All plugins were disabled, Outlook 2010 was uninstalled and then re-installed. OST file was deleted and re-synchronized with Exchange 2007. While the OST was re-synchronizing the
bolding worked properly but upon next restart of Outlook it went away. Another symptom is that my Scheduling Assistant does not show my free/busy times correctly in my local view. If I look at my own schedule via the Scheduling Assistant of another user, the
free/busy times show up correctly. My webmail account also correctly shows bolded dates and free/busy suggesting that this is a local problem. Some screen shots below. Anyone have any ideas as to what I need to tweak? Using Oulook 2010 v.14.7116.500 (32-bit).
This is not a shared calendar.

If you want to completely uninstall or remove Microsoft Office 2010, we can refer to the following article to do it:

Additionally, since the issue doesn’t happen in other computers, I think the issue may be also caused by some third-party programs in your original computer. If the complete uninstallation doesn’t help for this issue, I suggest we can try to perform a clean

Set Default Value for a Date Navigator

Hi all
Is it possible to set a default value for a date navigator.I mean with out picking the date from the Navigator, on load of the view itself i need a particualr date to be displayed (say 12/31/2000).

create a value attribute of type date bind to the input field and in wdInit()of view controller write this code..
wdContext.currentContextElement().setValueAttrName(new Date(Calendar.getInstance().getTimeInMillis()));
means ...
u r setting the date entered into some context ....
type of that attribute must be of date and for initial value write the above code ..if it is under node element create nodeelement bind it to context and write the code accordingly..

Using Range Option in Date Navigator

Dear Experts,
I am using the Range option in the Selection mode of a Date navigator.
I have bind two attributes to the First and Last selected property of the Date navigator..
I have implemented the On Day select event method to get the dates and fill in my Input fields.
But When I am clicking on the date the attributes bind to First and last selected dates are giving the same Value.
It is not fetching the two different dates.
Note: I have declared a node with carnality 0:1 and created tow attributes for the first and Last selected dates.
How can i get the Range of dates?

Colours in Date Navigator

Hi,
I am trying to use data navigator UI element. My requirement is to highlight colours on few dates i.e absent days of an employee.
Saw the help documents but couldn find how to do it.
Could you please tell me on how to do it step by step.

How to use Data Navigation in OBIEE11g

Hi,
I read an article about BIEE 10g feature: Data Navigation (click on a record in Analytics report1 and corresponding drill down data show in Analytics report2). I found that there are some setting "Type: Navigate" in "Value Interaction" should be set in Tab: "Column Format" of Column properties in BIEE 10g (pls refer to: http://gerardnico.com/wiki/dat/obiee/navigation).
However, I didn't find these setting in OBIEE 11g. How do I use Data Navigator in OBIEE 11g? Is this features is disabled?

*1. Firstly, what means of "Column (should be filtered)?*
The column in Criteria you should give the *Filter*
2. Table.Column -> Column Properties -> Interaction -> Value (Primary Interaction) -> Action Links -> Add (+ Symbol in Green color) -> Action -> Click *Navigate to BI Content* -> Select the Report from the Shared folder -> OK and Save the report.

About the use of "Date Navigator", there are many properties needed to set. In detail, you can reference to the material "NET311".
There is one chapter which takes the concern about "Date Navigator".

Following is the explaination as present in NWDS help:
The Legend UI element allows you to display a descriptive text for different colors used in an assigned UI element. The Legend element can be positioned anywhere in the view and be assigned to a table or a DateNavigator.
The screen shot below shows a DatNavigator element with assigned legend.
Assigning the Legend element
·        to the DateNavigator element:
In the view, after the DateNavigator element insert a Legend element and assign it to the DateNavigator element by setting the ID of the Legend element as the legendID property of the DateNavigator element.
·        to the table:
You can insert a Legend element after the table and use the legendId property to assign it to the table. To position the Legend element at the bottom of the table, you can use the LegendPopin. Insert a LegendPopin into the table and a content into the LegendPopin. Then insert a Legend element into the content.
The color assignment of the LegendItem is carried out using the enumeration type WDTableCellDesign. The following properties are of this type:
·        For the LegendItem, the property semantics
·        For the DateNavigatorMarking, the property daySemantics
·        For the table, the property cellDesign of the TableColumn.

Working with data navigation controls

Hi Experts,
I am developing an add-on and chose to create and register it as user-defined object in Business One as document type. I have managed to utilized its features. However, I am unsuccessful in making the data navigation controls work (next, previous, first, and last record).
Hope somebody could shed some light on how to properly do it.

More than 4 unique color in Date Navigator

Dear Experts,
In Webdynpro ABAP, I have to pass more than 4 dates to Date Navigator UI element and based on that dates I have to set unique color for each date.
But I am getting the u201CThe ASSERT condition was violatedu201D error when I am passing more than 4 dates. Please suggest me possible solution to fix this issue.
Note: If I pass 6 dates then Date Navigator should display those 6 dates with unique color.

You cannot able to add more that 4 becaue the type of the category Property is WDUI_DATE_MARKING_CATEGORY
Where the value is mainted in domain with 4 option only that represents
00     neutral
01     positive
02     critical
03     negative
in the class also sap is maintaining the 4 values only
CL_WD_DATE_NAV_LEGEND=>E_CATEGORY
but you can able to add more than 4 legends with same colour is posible .

Date Navigator problems

Hi all,
I have 2 issues to solve about BSP date navigator added using the showHelp attribute of InputField.
1 - The header with the days abbreviations shows a mix of values in different languages, how can I change them?
2 - The popup of Date Navigator is shown in a Development environment but not in a Quality one. Does it need any particular setting?

we are also on 640 SP 13 and were facing the same problem. So we opened a SAP call and the problem should be solved with the last SAP_BASIS support package.
Unfortunately no sap hint exists for that topic.
Now we're trying to find out which the last one is, expecting no errors anymore

Create a Context node DateMarking with three attributes category - type as com.sap.ide.webdynpro.uielementdefinitions.DateMarkingCategory , tooltip - type as String ,Date as type Date and Text as type string. Now add the Legend and Marking under DateNavigator. Map the Legend category as DateMaking.category , datsource as datemarking and text as DateMarking.text. Map Making category as DateMaking.category , datsource as datemarking and tooltip as DateMarking.tooltip.
Add the following code in doModifyView
     ArrayList list=new ArrayList();
     IDateMarkingElement element=wdContext.nodeDateMarking().createDateMarkingElement();
    element.setDate(new Date(2006-1900,10,30));
    element.setCategory(WDDateMarkingCategory.ONE);

Customizing Font Size of Date Navigator Header Using CSS

Hi All,
Can anyone offer any advice on how I'd change the font-size of the Date Navigator Header (i.e. May 2010, June 2010, etc)?
I've tried the good ol' CSS hack underneath the "Font Color of Date Navigator Header" and despite it working during preview, it doesn't come through when I save it.
This is what I've entered:
#000;padding:7px;font-weight:bold;font-size:medium
What am I doing wrong?
Is it because there are too many arguments?
Where else could I modify this?

Hello Bim,
I am not sure about your requirement using CSS. But, one way of changing the "Font Color of Date Navigator Header" is through editing the properties of your current theme in "Portal theme editor". For portal theme editor, logon to portal and navigate to System Administration>Portal Display>Theme Editor--> Click on the theme that is currently active.
Now, navigate to "Date Navigator" under Complex Elements and change the required properties. I hope this helps you. Let me know if you need any other information.

Disable past dates in Date Navigator

Hi All,
Can any one let me know how to disable past dates in a Date Navigator UI element in Web Dynpro for ABAP?
For example,today's date is 21-May-2010,when i open my application, i want all the dates from 1 May to 20th May to be disabled.The user should not be able to select them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

After implementing this suggestion, you are now having the Error "INVALID DATE". Sort out this error with [SAP note 1370457 WDA: DateNavigator returns incorrect values|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1370457].
