Date Picker Icon ideas - one click to populate today's date

Hey everyone
I've searched the forum, and did not find any threads related to these ideas. Hopefully, I'll be able to explain. Currently, in order to populate date, one has to click on the date picker, and then click on the number.
Idea number one: how to make the entire square corresponding to the date clickable? One has to align cursor EXACTLY on the number. I don't see why the entire area couldn't be "live."
Idea number two: Is there a way to modify the date picker so that it has an arrow, or some designated target area which would IMMEDIATELY populate today's date, without having to launch the calendar itself. I review number of records daily and "sign off" on them by entering date reviewed. It sure would be handy to have this feature.

that's not a bad idea - and we've implemented default value for a date on other pages/locations. However, this page is used by other staff, whom update many other items on the page. If we set that date as a default for today, anytime someone commits a page, the date column would be erroneously populated, as if I've already reviewed it.

I don't know where you are getting '''Ctrl + Q''' from - that extension uses '''''Alt + J''''' to trigger the 'autofill' feature when the cursor is in the first form field.

Ideas for Adding a "One Click" Print Button to VA01 Overview Screen

I am not an ABAP developer and am doing some preliminary functional investigation to determine the best way to add a simple "one-click" button that allows a Sales Order Confirmation output to be sent to the printer.
Can someone that really knows, tell me whether or not a custom menu item can be added to VA01 and VA02?
I have seen lots of threads telling folks how to find user exits and menu exits for a program so I don't need that advice. Rather, looking for someone who has already investigated this for VA01 and VA02 and knows the answer.
Problem Statement:
Our users would like a "quick print" button on the VA01/VA02 application toolbar that immediately spools the Order Confirmation output to the printer. Our users want to print the output on demand, i.e., they do not want the output to automatically be printed when the order is created because a printout is not always needed. We already have condition records created with Dispatch Time set to 3 - Send with application own transaction. However, it takes 7 or more clicks to print the output on demand by navigating the menu (Extras > Output > Edit...Further Data...etc.) and changing the Dispatch Time to 4 - Send immediately when saving. This is a big ergonomic issue and a time killer.
Although the number of clicks to print are less when printing the output from the VA02 initial screen (via menu Sales document > Issue Output To), this is not acceptable when creating new orders. Really need an on-demand, "one click" quick print button on the VA01 screen. As an aside, we have a totally custom transaction for preparing sales order data (shopping cart-like way of finding materials and entering required data) that then calls VA01 and fills in all of the information. When saving in VA01, the user is returned to our Z-transaction so asking the user to subsequently run VA02 to print is not practical.
Current Output Determination:
We have custom output type ZBS0 (copy of BS0). Condition records for print medium are set to Dispatch Time = 3.
Ideal Solution:
Add a Print Icon to the application toolbar as described above. From the button, write custom code that calls RSNAST00 (or is there a better way?) to send the output to the printer.
Any feedback on how others have solved this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Please again read my Problem Statement in my original posting for the business requirement. We are using ECC 6.0. Yes, I know that transaction VA02 has Sales Document > "Issue Output To" that allows you to print. However, we want to be able to print from the VA01 Overview screen after all of the sales order information has been entered. We would like to be able to click a print button which would save the new sales order and immediately issue the output. Again, we do not want the output to automatically print for every new sales order - we want to be able to print only when needed. The conditions that a sales person would use to decide to print a copy are too numerous or varied so they cannot be automated in a condition record. Of course we do use condition records for creating the output but we do not send immediately on save.
When creating a sales order, the sales person does not want to do the extra clicks and key strokes to then navigate or open a new VA02 session to print from the VA02 initial screen. And as described in my original posting, it is a lot of clicks navigate the VA01 Extras > Output menu to change the output to print on save.
If you observe the "day in the life" of a sales person and see all of the key strokes and clicking required to create an ECC 6.0 sales order, you understand why the extra 7 to 11 clicks to just print an output is very annoying. We have created a totally custom Z-transaction that allows our sales folks to capture everything need for a new sales order all on one screen with no tab views. We then launch VA01 to fill in all of the data entered in our custom transaction. This all works very well and is a huge time saver for our sales staff. Now we are looking to save a few more clicks by simplifying the printing.

You might look for third-party software for that, but there is no such option in OS X itself unless you drag the icon into the Dock.

Lightroom Mobile is not a cloud storage service. You shouldn't treat it as a way of backing up your files. You are merely storing Smart Previews of your files in the cloud space, high-quality JPEGs of your files regardless of their original format on your desktop. The point is that they are there so you can continue editing them in a Lightroom-like environment even while away from your desktop/laptop computer. The files in Lightroom Mobile can only be used in Lightroom Mobile.
This is very different from what is offered by the Creative Cloud storage, which can be used to synchronize your files between any device (that can support the individual files).
The vast difference in how each service works and its intended use is why they are separate.

No such app exisits or can exist. Apple doesn't allow 3rd party apps to access core functions of the phone. Time to get your phone replaced or repaired if assistive touch doesn't needs your needs.

Why is the date picker icon is not showing on the PDF file?

Hi,
I added a date field on a form.
I can see the date picker icon when viewing the form online but when I download and open the PDF to my computer and open it on Adobe Reader that icon doesn't show up.
It's important since my users then need to manually enter the date instead of choosing it on the graphic interface (some of my users are older so need all the help they can get)
Is there an option or something I missing to make the date picker icon show up on the actual PDF file as well?

I need to set up reoccurring purchases and want to get around it by having customers purchase all products off a catalog with one click after they set the amount. Any idea how to get there?

Printouts for multiple forms in one click

Hello Experts,
I have one print program for Adobe form. Here If I enter 10 pernrs in the selection screen.. I will get 10 adobe forms in the output. By clicking right/left arrow in the application tool bar (which appears if there are more than one form generated), I can see all forms and I can print each form.
Now the problem is, I got the requirement where I can click on one push button or icon on the output screen and It should print(sending to Printer) all 10 forms in one attempt.
Please let me know if you need any further information on this.
Note that its not about output display.. It should be remain same. The solution required only for the Paper printouts in one click.

Two things I can add here:
- if you want to achieve a better performance, set up the caching, the forms will then not be reloaded during each printing, the cached version will be used instead. Be careful, that may mean the form will behave a little crazy during the development (that is why I always turn off the caching on the development system)
- if you want to be precise as possible loop at the source table outside the printing block, get the data and next inside the printing block (JOB_OPEN and JOB_CLOSE) loop at the data again and ask for the prints. Since everything is inside one block, it will be exchanged with the webservice (ADS) in one call

Tap and hold any icon for a couple of seconds. They'll all start to wobble. Tap and drag the one you want to move to the side of the screen and the next screen will appear; drop the icon on whatever screen you want it on.
You can also do it quicker in iTunes - connect the phone and click the Apps tab in the main window. You'll see a picture of your phone with the apps laid out. Just click and drag

How can I create a Tree with Color Picker icons?

I'm a newbie to Flex. I want to create a tree which has color
picker icons.
As an analogy for the Mac users out there, I envision a
control like the Calendars section in iCal, where you can specify
the color for each individual node. These colors are then used in
other parts of the application.
The Flex 3 documentation specifies four methods for setting
node icons on a Tree control, none of which seems to suit my needs:
-The folderOpenIcon, folderClosedIcon, and defaultLeafIcon
properties
-Data provider node icon fields
-The setItemIcon() method
-The iconFunction property
In other words, I want to "setItemIcon" to an mx:ColorPicker,
if that makes any sense.
Is there a standard way of doing this? If not, how can I go

Mail one click downloads

Hi all, this problem first started in Mavericks but persists in Yosemite. (Yes it’s a first world problem I know but would appreciate your inout anyway).
When I am sent an attachement in Mail. I can move the mouse cursor to an area in the message where I am given the reply/share options as per below;
Sometimes I can click exactly on the paperclip and mail will save straight to my nominated downloads folder but significantly more often than not I will get a dropdown window that opens, (to my nominated downloads folder). How do I consistently get mail to save to downloads with just one click please?

This is not something that I have done myself.
I tend to right click the actual Pic or File and chose from the options there.
As far as the mouse over icons in your Pic I can only get a Menu to Save or to send to iPhoto.
Realistically I know much more about Messages then I do about Mail.
I have switched mine to Classic view as I don't like the newer layout.

I currently own multiple PowerMacs all sharing the same high speed local network. All of them run the latest / Mac OS X.4.9 and have multiple HD’s (both internal and external) as well as iLife’ 06. And all of them also have iChatAV3 and are able to video chat one with the other at will while on the same local high speed network.
This is my very first iPhoto library nightmare since I’ve owned a mac. and yes I’ve always been conditioned to backup everything one wishes to keep. This particular scenario is no different. (altho my back up HD for one of the three G4 computers involved was a bit dated by at least 6 months).
This was essentially triggered via two separate iLife ‘06 apps , namely iPhoto and iChatAV3 (combined with at least an ounce of stupidity on my part). That combined with 2 people not communicating properly / being on the same page (or rather the same Folder) when working on the very same task. Hey... I do NOT claim to be an expert at this particular application even though I have used macs since apple first introduced the Apple IIe decades ago. So this does not stem from lack of experience but rather not thinking things thru entirely in terms of all the possible consequences of simple, yet catastrophic actions when it comes to replacing or authenticating one particular folder containing the entire iPhoto Library simply titled “pictures”.
Starts like this, ichatav is open on 2 of three macs and my teenage daughter asks me to send her a roll of pictures she downloaded into my computer (since it’s twice as fast as her own) from her digital still camera. Now she wants all 12 photos on her computer as well. So I drag all 12 photos to my desktop and place them in a folder titled “Jackies pics”. I drag this folder to her icon on my buddy list and ichat AV simply refuses to allow sending the entire folder and ask me to send them one at a time. That should have been my first clue. Strange I thought. Always worked well in the past. Why not now? So I tell her over ichatav that the app simply won’t allow me to send her the entire folder and that I’ll have to send them one at a time. Please make a new folder on your HD called Jackie’s pics. She agrees and creates a folder on her end called .... (you guessed it) ...... “pictures”...... to which she drags each of the 12 images I sent over our local network.
Little did she realize this newly created folder has the makings of an atomic bomb when it comes to importing the entire folder into iPhoto’s library on her own mac. A dialog box quickly materializes asking that she “authenticate” or hit cancel. So she ask me what to do. I said that’s fine, hit authenticate (assuming she titled it Jackies pics). BIG mistake! She hits authenticate and now she has the 12 images I sent her in iPhoto....BUT .... the 1600 or so originals in the entire iPhoto library quickly vanishes. Her entire iphoto library is now wiped out or rather replaced with this new folder. She asks me, what happened? And in less than 30 seconds she in complete tears. Over 2-3 years of her photos (all 1600 images) gone in the click of a mouse.
Today is father’s day .... and I remembered that I have a complete backup of her HD (even though it is a bit dated). So together, we managed to recover about 90% of the lost images. If anyone reading this knows how I can possibly recover the final 10% (most current photos) then please help us.
Bottom line: We were fortunate. This Father’s Day iPhoto Nightmare ended happily....

Just another update .... Today, my daughter was multitasking on her G4 powermac working within iPhoto as well as email account and last but not least the latest iTunes. As she opened this final app (and I mean "final").... her entire hard drive bit the dust after she saw the spinning beachball and hence attempted to force quit. (I should also point out we are having a heat wave in San Diego today ...which also may have contributed to this hardware issue mainly).
This time, I had a complete updated copy of her HD and simply cloned it to a new hard drive. Took me a few hours to troubleshoot, clone and install a new drive in its place. But all is working normally again (sure hope it stays that way this time).
Friendly reminder to those who read this post .....
BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP .... ESPECIALLY IN IPHOTO & ITUNES!

Word 2013 - MSI Install vs. One-Click Install - COM Exception Error

we have a 3rd party control that sits on top of word to render word documents. In a MSI installation of Word 2013 everything works fine. When we use the one-click installation the rendering does not work and the system throws a com exception
error.
it basically says "The document is not associated with an ActiveX Document server. at OfficeControlLIB.IOfficeControl.OpenLocalfile...

where you modify the registry to insert :
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

into the registry - however this did not work (note we looked up the CLSID for our OCX and replaced.
Any ideas?

So it's a 32-bit version of Office which is running on a 32-bit version of Windows, try to omit
Wow6432Node from the registry keys and see if it works.
It's a 3rd party control, there is no way for us to understand how exactly it works. I'd suggest you contact the vendor support of that control for further assistance.

Thank you. And that leads me to another question: I've used the zip function before, with the idea of making a smaller file for transfers; but the PDF I get from Pages doesn't seem to compress any more when supposedly further compressed by .zip. Meaning, same size files.
Is this supposed to be like this? And, just so I understand, the file needs to be a .zip file for this one-click function to work? Have I got that right? Or will it work just as well with the .pdf file? Given there is no difference in the compression.
