Date Profile Position

Hi,
I have added SRV_CUST_BEG to my date profile for a Service Confirmation, via the Interaction Centre. Problem I have is that the field for SRV_CUST_BEG does not appear. Should it/where? Everything looks fine in customising except for the Screen area section. There is a field there called 'Display Position'. Not sure what I am meant to put in here and cannot find any documentation on it.
Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply. Yes I have CONFIRMATION in there but am not sure of the number to put in the 'Display Position'. A similar existing entry has position 1. But what does that mean? Where is 1? Where is 2? Or should the question be 'When is 1?'.
I actually want to add 2 date fields. Should they both be postion 1 or 1 and 2?

Date Profile - save date of document's changing

Hi,
I want to define date profle for my document type. Date type should store date of document's last change.
Example when user changes doc's status that Date type should store this date.
I configured date type in date profile: Determine date only once - unchecked, date rule - Todays, Calculating position - 4 (last on doc), Default values ... - Current Time checked. Only Display Field - checked.
It does not work.
Can you show where is the error?

If you say 'Determine only once' it determines the value exactly once and then no more, regardless whether it is filled or not. If not set, it tries to determine the date until it finds a value. Once the value is found, no update of the value happens anymore.
So if you want to write down a value, you need to fill a BAPI like ORDER_SAVE, get the order details there with fm CRM_ORDER_READ, change the values with CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN, perform a CRM_ORDER_SAVE and then a BAPI_COMMIT_DATA. Not an easy task, but imho the only way.

Date Profile with Tasks

Is it possible to implement the Date Profile functionality for the Tasks in SAP CRM so that the completion date and time are set automatically by the system, when 'completed' status is set on the Task.
We want to achieve this, can someone guide how to do this.

If you have changed a date or duration, the system recalculates all dependent dates. To do this, the system uses the calculation sequence assigned to the date type in Customizing.
Check the date profiles and date rules for the transactions
You need to select the date profile and go to date types and select the date type and click on the screen area -dates and you need to enter the number for the display position to view your date type in the transaction otherwise the display of date types will be visible in the transaction type
The path for date profile is SPRO- Basic functions --Date management --Define date profile
Just a suggestion,if you have assigned it to transaction types and item category, so may be after entering the item in the transaction, you might be able to see the dates at header.

For every transaction at the header and/ or item level, you can define which date type you need for the transaction, that is, which item type you need. By doing this, you avoid saving unnecessary date types on the database. The same applies for durations (for example, contract run time).
To assign dates and durations to an item category, you group the desired date types and durations together in a date profile and assign this to a transaction type or an item type.

Org data profile

Hi guys,
I have two questions for clarification:
1. While maintaining the org data profile in IMG,what is the standard rule generally given for the service org data profile? If iam using the other standards the system says the the rfc to R/3 is not there.(Ex:10000194 for sales org data profile)
2. Assume we have created the org data ......Company,Bussiness unit,position,user.Now when i have assign the sales org,dist chnl and division to the pricing procedure which ID from the org structure has to be assigned......Is it the company level ID or the Bussiness unit level ID?
The crm system is a standalone one.

Hi Ajay,
The Standard Org Rule used for Service org determination is 10000276, which is assigned to the Org Profile 000000000008 (For Header).
This is based on the org determination rules which are assigned to the transaction types.
These rules are defined to pick up the responsible agent/org based on two criteria
1. Based on attributes
2. Based on responsibilities
3. Both of the above
Incase when the org is to be determined based on the attributes, then the attributes of the BP like the Countyr, Postal code are matched to the same attributes of the orgs that you have maintianed in the system and the matching orgs are available for chosing.
Based on the responsibility:- Incase you want the BP to be serviced based on his importance you chose agents based on the Responsibility. Eg:- If you want the Gold Card Members to be treated by different set of org than the normal customers, you can chose this rule to maintian it.
Incase you have maintained both the rules, then the union of all the orgs determined by these rules will be available in the pop.
The path to maintain these rules is
IMG> CRM> Master Data> Org Mangement> Define Rules
and then these rules need to be assigned to a profile which contains the rules to determine both sales and service orgs is done using the path
IMG>CRM>Master Data> Org Management> Define profile
and then these profiles are assgined to the transaction type using the path IMG>CRM> Transactions> Basic Settings> Define transaction types

Close dates profile

I'm trying to use custom.pll to override a value populated on the standard sale form.
When a user selects a Sale stage I want to overide the default close date profile for one of these entries in the LOV.
I can see that the block status has changed but when I check for the Sales tabpage and block_status = Changed these do not fire until I click into a field which does not have a LOV attached (total amount). Any Ideas?

My doubt is you are saying 'On the 31/01/2010 these two positions should contribute to the coupons due', but when you bought the bond the coupon was not delivered so how will it contribute to the interest on 31/01. So effectively only the repo will contribute to the coupon interest and the bond will not contribute to the interest due on 31/01 because the next coupon was not delivered with bond purchase.
Please correct me wrong if the below case is what is your requirement
Book close date is 21/01, coupon payment date is 31/01.
Last coupon payment was on 31/07.
You purchase a bond on 19/01. This should contribute to the coupon payment on 31/01. Hence choose next coupon delivered so that you will pay accrued interest for the period from 01/08 till your purchase date and this bond purchase will have a coupon payment on 31/01.
Next you purchase a bond on 22/01. This should not contribute to the coupon payment on 31/01. Hence choose next coupon not delivered so that you will receive the accrued interest for the next 10 days. Now there will be no impact on the interest due on 31/01 because of this purchase. But from next interest payment onwards you will have impact because of both the purchases.
If this is what is your requirement then you need not have a -10 calculation date at all. You can have normal calculation date and when you make purchase you can make the changes depending on the book close date.

How do I work with FK in a data profile?

I am new in OWB tools and I have many doubts. Therefore, I would like to know if anyone can guide me a bit with the theme of FK and profiles.
How do I work with FK in a data profile?
If I have a table that has a FK to most of the tables, because it is like a parent table. What should I do to have that FK in the profile?
e.g.
- Table 1 FK Table 2
- Table 1 FK Table 3
- Table 1 FK Table 4
- Table 1 FK Table 5
- Table 1 FK Table 6
- Table 2 FK Table 7
- Table 2 FK Table 8
- Table 8 FK Table 9
You should have a data profile with each table or a data profile for all related tables?
If I am all in a single profile, that it would have no problem but I would only slow every time that I have to add a new table, but if I got separated, I can not use the FK? What is the solution that will give this problem?

Data integrator for HP-UX missing data quality and data profiling

Hi All,
I have installed ODI 10.1.3.40.0 from odi_unix_generic_10.1.3.4.0.zip in HP unix 11.23.
Data quality and data profiling is missing in that zip ? Could anyone please help me how to get installer of data quality and data profiling for Oracle data integrator in HP UX 11.23.
Any response will be highly appreciated.

The integrated packaged( ODi, data quality and data profiling) for HP-UX wount available till 10.1.3.5.0 which will be released by this year end.

ODI Data Profiling and Data Quality

Hi experts,
Searching about ODI features for data profiling and data quality I found (I think) many ... extensions? for the product, that confuse me. Cause I think there are at least three diferents ways to do data profiling and data quality:
In first place, I found that ODI has out of the box features for data profiling and data quality, but, acording to the paper, this features are too limited.
The second way I found was the product Oracle Data Profiling and Oracle Data Quality for Oracle Data Integrator 11gR1 (11.1.1.3.0) that is in the download page of ODI. Acording to the page, this product extends the existing inline Data Quality and Data profiling features of ODI.
Finally, the third way is Oracle Enterprise Data Quality that is another product that can be integrated to ODI.
I dont know if I understood good my alternatives. But, in fact, I need a general explanation of what ODI offer to do Data Quality and Data profiling. Can you help me to understand this?

Hi after 11.1.1.3 version of ODI release, oracle no longer supports ODP/ODQ which is a trillium software product and this not owned by oracle. Oracle is recommending the usage OEDQ for quality purposes. It's better if you could spend time on OEDQ rather than trying to learn and implement ODP/ODQ in ODI

You can create a metabase in the Metabase Manager:
- Expand Control Admin
- Click on Metabases
- in the Metabases window, right-click on the white area and select Add...
- go through the wizard to create your metabase
This is documented in the ODQ/ODP tutorial (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/oracle-data-quality/pdf/oracledq_tutorial.pdf) and in the Documentation (in Metabase Manager or Oracle Data Quality go to Help and then Manuals).

Can I filter the table being profiled in the Data Profiling task, or know of a work around? SSIS2008r2

Hi,
I import several files into a staging table. Inside a foreach loop, after the data flow task I have a Data Profiling task that profiles the table so we can give feedback to those who sent us the file.
I just relalized that after the first loop, there is more than one file in the staging table, hence more than one file is being profiled.
At first glance it doesnt appear I can add a "Where" clause to the table. I do have a column that states which file the data came from, but with only being able to profile a view or table, I can't filter.
Anyone have any ideas?

Catching outliers seeing how much of what kind of data exist, deviations, distribution, you get some sort of a historgram in essence with the Data Profiling.
It is normally a preamble to doing data ingress (or egress) into a new target.
Now patterns are in Fuzzy Lookups/matching or grouping. Having RegEx used is hard in SSIS! I admit, I proposed to have it included into SSIS VNext. I remember there was a component or two on CodePlex:

Unable to assign the date profile to transaction tyep

I have created a new date profile. but while assigning it the transaction its giving error like " The action profile is only allowed with date profile " X00001 " .
Please suggest what could be the reason for that .

Hi Rahul,
U can follow below steps:
Spro->Customer Relationship Management->Basic Functions->Actions->Actions in Transaction->Change Actions and Conditions->Define Action Profiles and Actions.
1) Click on edit mode and Open u r action Profile.
2) See the field Date profile it will allow u to change the Date Profile (use F4)
also check whether u r old date profile is used in action conditions it also need to be change.

Date profiles missing from IC-WebClient?

Hello experts,
We are working on CRM 5.0 SP 7, IC WebClient and have implemented the BADI ORDER_SAVE to calculate planned dates(defined in Date Profile) for Service tickets.
We are getting all dates perfectly for tickets created in IC-WebClient.
But the issue is that when we are creating tickets(Service order) in PCUI and checking it in WebClient for further processing, all date profiles are missing i.e. Date Profile frame goes completely blank.
We are getting values in different date types perfectly in PCUI as BADI is working fine but we are not able to see same date details in IC WebClient.

Hi All,
The issue has been resolved by giving dummy product ID to service order.But that is done manually . I would like to know: Is there any BADI or any way that can be used to assign default product ID (INVESTIGATION) for service order as it is done in case of service tickets.

Data Profiling - Value too large for column error

I am running a data profile which completes with errors. The error being reported is an ORA 12899 Value too large for column actual (41 maximum 40).
I have checked the actual data in the table and the maximum is only 40 characters.
Any ideas on how to solve this. Even though it completes no actual profile is done on the data due to the error.

Found the answer. It was the database character set for multi byte character sets.

Have you profiled this data before? I looks from the error messages as if data rules are being applied to the tables and those rules are failing due to datatype mismatches?No, this is the first time that we have run profiling.
The first error implies the table/view is no longer present in your schema. The error implying the table/view is no longer there is odd because the tables were not manually deleted and in fact I checked after the failure and all the tables are still there...
Are you creating a completely new data profile module? Yes, this is a completely new data profile module.
Are your re-running the profiling having made changes to the data rules or profiling options? No, this is the first run.

Please assign the org det. rules to org det. profile with Sales and Service scenarios and then assign the org. det. profile to transaction type. The below screenshot is just for your reference.
