Date Received oddness with Oct 20 messages

A very odd thing is happening to the messages in my inbox that I received on October 20, 2006 (Eastern Daylight Time). When I first open Mail, their dates in the Date Received column (though not in the preview pane) read October 21 (I'm certain that they all actually arrived October 20, my local time). If I select an Oct 20 message (currently masquerading as having come in Oct 21) immediately after selecting one with a Date Received of Oct 19 or earlier, the former's Date Received changes to Oct 20 (i.e., the correct date). If I at any point select the first message I actually received on October 21 (and that message only), and then start selecting October 20 messages, the date in the Date Received column of each Oct 20 messages selected changes back to Oct 21.
A couple of other things I've noticed about my Oct 20 messages (this glitch seems to affect only them):
(1) In messages received on this date with the same subject line, the date changes simultaneously (i.e., when I select one according to the conditions layed out above, both change simultaneously).
(2) The first message I actually received on Oct 21 (at 12:21 a.m. local time, which incidentally was sent from Germany, six hours ahead) also changes its Date Received to Oct 20 when I select it after a message with a Date Received Oct 20 or earlier (not including the Oct 20 messages when they're in their false Oct 21 state).
Some notes on the Oct 20 messages: five (received between 10:45 a.m. and 4:47 p.m.) are from within my office, one (received at 6:16 p.m. local time) is from Australia (approx. half a day ahead--i.e. sometime early on Oct 21), and two (received at 6:21 p.m. and 6:24 p.m. local time) are from North America's Mountain time zone (two hours behind my local time).
Curious! Doesn't pose any practical problem, but what a brianteaser! And I've just stolen a couple of hours of company time to tell you about it! After all this analysis, it seems to me the problem must relate to that message from Germany, received just after midnight local time on Oct 21. Anyone care to tackle this?

  • Can Same IDOC be sent to same Receiver with two different Message Mappings

    Hello Experts,
Wierd doubt but want to confirm from you people.
    Scenario:
    One R/3 Sender
    SAP XI :
    One external Receiver :
IDOC is sent from R/3 to external receiver via SAP XI.
One interface has already been developed for the above scenario.
Now client wants another interface to be developed for the same IDOC. Might be the values would be different for some specific fields.
    Doubt:
Is it possible to send one similar IDOC to one target system with two different Message Interfaces?
Ex: Created Message Interface 'A'  and correspoding Message Mapping with an IDOC
Created Message Interface 'B' and correspoding Message Mappingwith an IDOC
Values would be different in the IDOC and would be triggered from SAP R/3. Basing on the specific value of a field in the IDOC , can we trigger a different Message mapping for the same receiver?
I donot see any reason in developing a new interface for the same IDOC but as per the situation mentioned above, can it be done?
    Thank you
    Alex.

Create two interfaces for target side.
If you want only one target interface should get data.
You can use simple interface determination. Use the condition tab and specify the field there but the value should be constant. e.g. if field has value EN it should go to First interface and if Field has value != EN it should go to second interface.
If you want to divide your message in to both target interfaces.
Multimapping also can help but only if both of your target interface need idoc data.
You can use ifexist standard node functions from UDF to choose between the field.
For multimapping you can go to messages tab in the message mapping and can add interfaces using + sign.
then when you see the design part you will see two messages.
Now Start with receiver determination in ID and create one receiver determination for the sender and receiver, this shows you have only one receiver.
In interface determination you have to choose extended and choose your mapping designed.
then both your interfaces automatically would appear.
Create two receiver agreements and one sender agreement.
    thanks

  • Ichat: 'no data received for 10 seconds' message and both users using macs

my sister and i are both using macs. i have a desktop and she has a laptop. we used ichat several times with no problem. she's in cali, i'm in utah. then all of a sudden we started getting 'no data received for 10 seconds' error every time we try to chat. i've tried to find some answers on the boards, but all the explanations are over my head. i'm not a techie, so i needs things in simple, layman terms.
we're using AIM, and like i said, we're both on macs.
this is the error message the connection doctor gave me:
    Chat ended with error -20
2007-04-04 22:23:38 -0600: No data has been received for the last 10 seconds.
Audio channel info: local machine using xxx.xxx.x.101:16388, expecting remote machine to send to xx.x.xx.xxx:16388
Video channel info: local machine using xxx.xxx.x.101:16388, expecting remote machine to send to xx.x.xx.xxx:16388
    Chat ended with error -20
i would appreciate any assistance anyone can give me. thank you!

    Hi Matt,
    Item 1
Go to System Preference > Sharing > Firewall Tab
    Is this On ?
If it is do you have a separate iChat Setting (Not the bonjour ichat preset) ?
If it is On then do the pic around the Second pic here http://www.ralphjohnsuk.dsl.pipex.com/page4.html#_ports
    Item 2
Next go to System Preferences > Network
In here choose the Connection method from the second drop down.
    The choose the TCP/IP tab
From the information you posted in the first post I suggest that reads "Using DHCP" in the drop down and then an IP of 192.168.1.101
Further down it lists the DNS servers and SubNet Mask
    And the the "Router" IP
This "router" maybe a actual router or a modem that routes.
The number at the end of your log is suggestive of a Linksys device.
    Info for you 1
Now if this a router we will also ned to know if the Modem is doing DHCP (You should not have two device doing this)
If the "router" IP is 192.168.1.1 then type this in to a we browser.
The Pop up will ask for a User ID and Password which for a Linksys are bith admin by defualt.
    Info needed 1
If you get this far can you tells how this set up page says you are connected to the modem ?
    Info needed 2
If it is a modem can you tells the same info ?
Either may say DHCP but we need to ascertain where that is coming from. A cable modem may be passing the DHCP IP given by your ISP and we would not have to worry about that.
    Info for you 2
Now if the set up is Modem > Linsys > Computer I need you to find out the IP the modem is giving out or passsing on to see if it is a DHCP server.
    Info needed 3
Can you connect the computer direct to the modem and repeat Item 2 please and tells that IP.
    Item 3
If that IP is the same as when you go to this site http://myip.dk/ then the modem is doing pass through and all we have to do it make sure the Linksys device has the port open.
    Summary.
    1) You now should be able to tell and set the Ports in the Mac Firewall
    2) You should be able to find out the IP your computer is getting from your router device (Same as the Log)
    3) You should be able to access the router if it is a Linksys device.
    4) You can tells us if the device is s router or a combined roter and Modem.
    5) If there is a separate modem you will be able to tell if the IP is being passed through to the Router (when normally set up)
    6) You will know what that IP is.
Please post back with the information I have asked for.
Also lets us know makes and models of any router and/or modem

  • TS3276 receive email with .dat attachments

I have begun receiving emails with .dat files attached from my coworkers who use Outlook. Somehow, these files replace the attached files that my coworkers intended to send and Mail doesn't seem to be able to open/process them. I would really appreciate any advice on how to overcome this as I am starting to be pressured to give up my Mac.

.DAT files is a file has arbitrary data and is not associated with any one particular program or application. When you see a file with a .XLS extension, you know it’s referring to an Excel file, and so on. But with .DAT files, you have to figure out how to open it yourself and it may not be the same program each time.
The best way to open a .DAT file is to use the program that created it.  You may want to ask the sender to send it in a different format, like .pdf.
Winmail.dat files come from those Microsoft Outlook or Exchange programs and are some sort of archive method. Somewhere in outlook they get automatically created when forwarding email messages and Mac users have long wondered what they are and how to open them. Of course Windows users have no idea what they are either and think it’s all the receivers issue when we say we never got an attachment.

I replaced my iPhone with a Samsung Galaxy5 and I am not receiving all of my text messages now. The rep at the store told me to go to iTunes and take my phone # off of the account and that would fix the problem. Is that true? What does iTunes have to do with text messages anyway?

You need to remove your phone number from the iMessage system.

    Hi there,
You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.
Thanks, let me know if the update helps,

What do you actually want to do?
    1. connect to a https url and ignore whether the returned certificate is valid or not?
    ./wget --no-check-certificate "https://server1.com.kh/data/?action=datano;datano=aaaa"
    2. connect to https url and only connect if the returned certificate is valid and/or in your truststore?
    ./wget --ca-directory=/cert "https://server1.com.kh/data/?action=datano;datano=aaaa"
    3. connect to https url and provide your own client certificate to authenticate to server?
    ./wget private-key=/cert/data.pem certificate=/cert/data.crt "https://server1.com.kh/data/?action=datano;datano=aaaa"
    4. something else...?

It may be in the process of making room.  What version of OSX are you on?    (That process can be excruciatingly slow on Leopard or Snow Leopard backups over a network;  Lion has improved it greatly.)
A clue may be lurking in your logs.  Use the widget in #A1 of  Time Machine - Troubleshooting to display the backup messages from your logs.   That should help you figure out what's going on.  If in doubt, copy and post them here (but if the same ones repeat over and over, drop most of the duplicates).
If you can, connect via Ethernet; it will be 2-3 times faster.

  • Data Acquisition problem with multiple length of commands and data received.

    Hello,
I need to write a program to communicate with a Data Acquisition board. There are about 10 commads and each has a different number of bytes associated with it. For example command-1 has 4 bytes which need to be send to the DAQ, command 2 has 6 bytes, Command 3 has 4 bytes etc...
When the board responds back to the commands I send, it responds back with different number of bytes for each command. For example, When Command 1 is send to the board, it responds back with 3 bytes of data, whereas when command-2 is send it responds back with 5 bytes of data.
Each data byte received by my labView program from the board, needs to be displayed after some processing has been done. This processing may or may not happen on all the bytes of data got back.
I want the program to be scalable, so that if more commands are added later on, the display and the processing changes in accordance with that.
What will be the best approach for such a system ? I want the system to be dynamic, and dont want to repeat or re-write the code for each case statement ( case statements will be decided by the commands).
    Any input is welcome.
    Thanks,
    birapxi

    Hello Dennis,
That is certainly one way of doing it, but it is the brute force method. Is there any way to use clusters and add the data bytes coming in and going out to clusters. Also when the user sends a specific command out, can I use the unbundle by name function to send the bytes corresponding to that command.
For displaying the data received, can I follow a similar approach and use unbundle by name function to just display the specific data bytes for the command i have received.
    Thanks for your input,
    birapxi

I think it's trying to open it in a gMail eMail & is losing your gMail password that it needs log into gMail, but not 100% positive.
Have you tried Right clicking or Control+click on the eMail link & choose Copy? Works on some, not others.
