Date set itself to sunday december 31 2000

Hi,
I have the date set to automatically set itself but for some reason the date set itself to sunday december 31 2000.
I realize I can change it manually but I would like it to set itself automatically.
thanks,
Brandon

That means your PRAM battery is most likely dead. It maintains settings such as Time and Date.
Try posting this in the MacBookPro power and battery forum. I know Tower Mac battery info but am not well versed on portable Mac's PRAM batteries. I do know it is separate from your main battery.

  • Computer Time/Date Changes to December 31, 2000????

    Okay this is really weird. I opened up my MacBook Pro after it'd been in sleep mode and the display wouldn't show. So I held down the power button, booted it back up, and my date was set to December 31, 2000, and the clock was about an hour behind. It had also forgotten my password for the network I'm usually logged into.
    What kind of issue is this? Is it just a freak occurrence of should I be expecting this to happen again?

  • Can Data Links be established between Data sets based on View Objects?

    Hi all,
    In the BI Publisher Documentation it's given that Datasets based on view object queries do not support Data Links / Group Links. We found out that only way to establish relationship between view object Datasets is to create a view link and then upload it to create a Dataset.
    1. Is there any other way to establish relationship between view objects Datasets in DataModel editor itself just as in the case of data sets based on (SQL queries e.t.c.)?
    2. If so can View object Datasets be linked to Datasets based on other Datasources?
    3. Will the Datalinks for View object Datasets be supported in any of the upcoming releases. Is there any ER logged for this case?
    Any insight on the above issues will be really helpful.
    Thanks

    Enhance the data source with date and time and populate these fields in the user exit using the function module IB_CONVERT_FROM_TIMESTAMP .
    OR
    You can create Z function module IB_CONVERT_FROM_TIMESTAMP in BW side and write a routine in update rules/transfer rules to populate date and time.
    hope this helps ...

  • List Builder only shows 1 data set at a time

    Am attempting to get a list builder to display multiple data sets but am hitting a wall.  When a 1st data set is selected then all OK.  Add 2nd data set and update list and only 1st is shown.  Remove 1st and update and data is refreshed to 2nd list.  Add 3rd and repeats itself and so on.  Looks like all OK based on the sample but built from scratch and think missing something simple in the destination range (although appears fine).  thoughts?

    Can you describe this in more detail?
    How are your datasets defined in your excel model and how are your target cells formatted?
    How are you trying to display the two resultsets in list builder in the first place?  The cell range has to be contiguous for list builder to work.

  • Procedure to take inpot data set and return result set

    Hi all,
    I have a situation where there will be one "standard" set of data (source_data below) and I will need to get information on results for certain groups of clients (client_data being an example). As straight SQL this would be very easy (see below) -- real world problem is a little more complicated. However, what I would like to do is set up a procedure so that I can pass it my variable client data and it will spit back out a data set the same as the output from the given SQL.
    A pointer in the right direction would be appreciated. If I could "pass the client data" as a string containing a SQL query, that would be even better, e.g.
    GetResults('select client_id,min(whatever_date) from some_client_data where .....',MyOutputRefCursor?)
    create table source_data
    (client_id integer,
    tdate date,
    amount number(6,2));
    create table client_data
    (client_id integer,
    critical_date date);
    insert into source_data values(1,to_date('20090104','yyyymmdd'),1000);
    insert into source_data values(1,to_date('20100104','yyyymmdd'),2000);
    insert into source_data values(1,to_date('20110104','yyyymmdd'),3000);
    insert into source_data values(1,to_date('20120104','yyyymmdd'),4000);
    insert into source_data values(2,to_date('20090104','yyyymmdd'),5000);
    insert into source_data values(2,to_date('20090604','yyyymmdd'),1000);
    insert into source_data values(2,to_date('20100104','yyyymmdd'),2000);
    insert into source_data values(3,to_date('20091004','yyyymmdd'),3000);
    insert into source_data values(3,to_date('20091104','yyyymmdd'),4000);
    insert into source_data values(4,to_date('20090104','yyyymmdd'),5000);
    insert into source_data values(4,to_date('20090604','yyyymmdd'),2000);
    insert into client_data values(1,to_date('20110104','yyyymmdd'));
    insert into client_data values(2,to_date('20090604','yyyymmdd'));
    select c.client_id,
      sum(CASE WHEN tdate < critical_date then amount else null end) used_before,
      sum(CASE WHEN tdate >= critical_date then amount else null end) used_after
    from source_data s

If I could "pass the client data" as a string containing a SQL query, that would be even better, e.g.Passing a query as as string for execution is rarely the correct approach. This approach won't scale and most likely will result in maintenance and security problems.
    If you can update your post to have a more accurate representation of the problem you are trying to solve you'll probably get an acceptable answer. Other than that all I can suggest is that you need to rethink the approach a bit. For example, if you know you need to filter out a set of data to join to your SOURCE_DATA table, why couldn't you do that inside the procedure?
    SELECT c.client_id
         , SUM
           ( CASE

        ,  SUM
           ( CASE
             WHEN tdate >= critical_date
             THEN amount
             END
           ) AS used_after
    FROM   source_data s
    JOIN   ( SELECT client_id
                  , MIN(<date column>) AS critical_date
             FROM   client_data
             WHERE  <where clause>

           ) c on s.client_id = c.client_id

  • How are valid-from and valid-to dates set in TRPROD table in APO during CIF

    First question:
    How are the valid-from and valid-to dates set in the APO TRPROD table?
    For example, if I activate a transportaion lane model on March 1, 2008, will the valid-from and valid-to in TRPROD be 20080301 and 99991231?
    Or are these dates defined in the model itself? Or in APO config somewhere?
    Next question:
    Suppose I rerun the model on May 1 2008 to add some records that didn't get added in the March 1 run.  But suppose I want to back-date the valid-from of these records to March 1, rather than use May 1 as the valid-from.
    Can this be done?
    Or is the valid-from always the date of the CIF that creates the TRPROD records?
    Please advise.
    Thanks

    Hi Srinivas -
    Thanks very much for replying so quickly, but your response didn't answer the questions.
    Let me try again.
    1)
    If I run a CIF on March 1 2008 based on a model that will generate APO TLane data, will the TRPROD valid-from and valid-to get automatically set to 20080301 and 99991231?
    2)
    If the answer to this question is yes, then is it also true that if I run a new set of records in on May 1, 2008 (no duplications with the original set), then the valid-from and valid-to dates will be 20080501 and 99991231.
    3)
    But if (1) and (2) are both true (if you answer them both "yes", then suppose I want the May 1 record set to have valid-from dates of March 1 (for example, if the May 1 record set includes records that didn't get included in the March 1 set due to an error in selection criteria).  How do I get the valid-from to be March 1 when I run the CIF on May 1?
    On the other hand, if (1) and (2) are NOT true, then how DO the two dates get set during a CIF ????
    Thanks

  • Spry Data Sets and IE7 and IE8

    Whiile in IE 7 or IE 8, my spry data set is not displaying
    the data. However, using the Firefox browser, you can see the data
    within the spry data set. For some reason unbeknownst to me, IE 7
    and IE 8 in not allowing the spry data set to display the necessary
    data. Is there a fix to this issue? Can changing or modifying the
    HTML code help make the connection between the spry data set and
    its data in IE 7 and IE 8? Any assistance would be helpful. Thank
    you.
    To view my site where the problem is at, go to
    http://www.hrconsortium.net/hrworkshops.htm

    It gags in IE because you are saying that the Course_Date
    column is a date, but you have an "Open" word in the date column
    instead of a date. You can work around the problem by creating a
    custom column that replaces the "Open" keyword with a date in the
    past or the future, depending on where you want it to land when
    sorting (top or bottom). Then, leave your Course_Date column as a
    "string" column type, and set the new custom column to the date
    column type. Try something like this:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    function CustomDateFilter(ds,row,rowIndex)
    if (row.Course_Date.search("Open") != -1)
    row.Course_Date2 = "01/01/2000";
    else
    row.Course_Date2 = row.Course_Date;
    return row;
    var dshrworkshops = new
    Spry.Data.HTMLDataSet("hrworkshop_table.htm", "hrworkshoptable",
    {sortOnLoad: "Course_Date", sortOrderOnLoad: "ascending",
    filterDataFunc: CustomDateFilter});
    dshrworkshops.setColumnType("Course_Date2", "date");
    //-->
    </script>

  • Why is the time wrong when setting itself automatically under Lion

    My Date and Time preferences are set to ‘set date and time automatically’ and the zone is set to Europe (where I live).
    However, since updating to Lion 10.7.1 (via the App Store), the time is showing as 8 hours early (ie USA time. What is the cause for this and are there any fixes?
    Thanks?

    That is what makes the time go wrong. I can only ‘fix’ it by setting it to manual and adjusting it myself. Every time I set it to ‘automatic’ it sets itself not to European times (as selected) but to 8 hours earlier....

  • Dynamic Data Sets

    I'm trying to populate a second dropdown based on the
    selected item in the first dropdown. I've been testing out Data Set
    Master-Detail Sample but it specifies a field in the first select
    "url" which contains the actual name of the url file.
    1. I'm using the dynamic xml plugin from Adobe on a CF query.
    Thus, I'd like to only pass the variable needed to the dataset
    needed. I know it should look something like the example, but the
    example is hardcoded, not dynamic ("/photos.php?galleryid=2000").
    How do I make this dynamic based on the ID I have in the first
    select drop down?
    2. Also, I'm getting the error
    that..."document.forms[0].select2" is Null or not an object.
    3. here's my code:

    Here's the code I'm using

    Kin,
    Yes, I'm using ClientID from the first select box to try and
    pass it to a query to get the values for the second select box. I
    tried your code but I think I'm still missing something. With the
    "post" method, wouldn't I need to actually do a form submit? Or
    would it work just by changing the value in the first drop down?
    I'm trying to base my method off of the following example,
    but make it dynamic:
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/data_region/DataSetMasterDetailSample.html
    The query to get my second select list values looks like
    this:

    My code looks like this:

    <script src="/SpryAssets/SpryData.js"
    type="text/javascript"></script>

  • Data set

    Hi
    I am developing a mobile application about physical fitness for an undergraduate final year project and one of the features I would like to include is to give suggestions to the user on how to make their workout(walking, jogging or running) more effective, for example it will tell the user the best workout plan given their level of physical fitness etc.
    I would like to achieve this using data mining, are there any data sets related to this area and if so from where can I get one?
    Thanks

    If I were u here is the first approach I will use:
    You can try to estimate the physical well being score as a user by assigning them EXTREME, GOOD, MEDIUM, POOR scores (notice that this is something subjective you need to define as the domain expert). Than you can use the following variables as the predictors/inputs:
    - Average/Median/Maximum/Minimum miles run in a week/day/month in last week/month/quarter/year.
    - Average/Median/Maximum/Minimum cardio minutes in a week/day/month in last week/month/quarter/year.
    - Average/Median/Maximum/Minimum pounds in bench-press/squad/biceps/triceps in a week/day/month in last week/month/quarter/year.
    I think you got the idea for possible inputs you can define. One important issue is that since you don't know whether average or maximum value for an input will work or not so you need to define all of them (all combinations of all dimensions: statistical function, metric itself, time-window size and break-down time-window size). As a result you will have more variables than you need. Feed them into Oracle Data Mining Attribute Importance algorithm to select really relevant ones.
    Then build an Oracle decision tree model to estimate physical well being value.
    Once you are done you can export the model as an XML file.
    Now what you need to do is to generate fitness recommendations to POOR, MEDIUM and GOOD guys. Here is the flow:
    1. Take a user and find the matching decision tree rule for it.
    2. If it is not classified as EXTREME find the diff of rules between your rule set and rule sets for classes better than your class (XML operation over Decision Tree XML).
    3. Choose the minimum sized diff set. Actually these are most probably the changes your user needs to make in his/her fitness program. Present it properly in your mobile application.
    Incrementally you can improve your model by adding age, gender, etc. But remember to start as a minimalist.

  • Nested XML data set

    Hi there,
    I have a problem with displaying some nested XML data. I've
    tried quite a lot of different approachey to this, but just can't
    get it working properly. So here's the deal:
    I have an XML file (which is dynamically created from a
    servlet) of the form:
    <variations>
    <variation>
    <name>...</name>
    <...>...</...>
    <links>
    <link>
    <type>...</type>
    <name>...</name>
    </link>
    </links>
    </variation>
    </variations>
    On my webpage, I use a Spry tabbed panel with one tab for
    each of the 'variation's in the XML file. Within the tabs I have
    (many) form fields dynamically filled with the values from the XML
    and that all works fine, but I also want to display a table with
    one row corresponding to each 'link'... and that just won't work...
    My latest approach looks something like this:
    <head>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    var dsVariations = new
    Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("Servlet?id=1&cmd=getVariations",
    "variations/variation");
    var dsLinks = new
    Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("Servlet?id=0&cmd=getLinks",
    "links/link");
    //-->
    </script>
    </head>
    <body>
    <div id="TabbedPanels1" spry:region="dsVariations">
    <div id="TP1" class="TabbedPanels">
    <ul class="TabbedPanelsTabGroup">
    <li spry:repeat="dsVariations" class="TabbedPanelsTab"
    tabindex="0">{dsVariations::name}</li>
    </ul>
    <div class="TabbedPanelsContentGroup">
    <div spry:repeat="dsVariations"
    class="TabbedPanelsContent">
    // a lot of form stuff
    <table border="1">
    <script type="text/javascript">
    dsLinks.setURL("Servlet?id={dsVariations::id}&cmd=getLinks");
    dsLinks.loadData();
    </script>
    <tr spry:repeat="dsLinks">
    <td>{dsLinks::type}</td>
    <td>{dsLinks::name}</td>
    </tr>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </div>
    </div>
    </body>
    In this, the Servlet call with cmd=getVariations returns the
    whole XML stated above, while the cmd=getLinks will only get the
    corresponding part (everything between <links> and
    </links>).
    The error message I get for this is: processTokens() failed
    to get a data set context!.
    I previously tried to use a NestedXMLDataSet, but couldn't
    get that working either... I'm really kind of stuck by now and
    would appreciate any help.
    Thanks,
    Florian
    PS Thanks a lot for creating Spry: It's great!

    Thanks for your reply, Cristian.
    I'm afraid I couldn't do that since it would cause the whole
    region to be reloaded constantly (because it's being updated each
    time I do the setURL / loadData)... in fact, I tried this before
    and it didn't work.
    But, in fact, I figured that the fact that I could not get it
    running using a NestedXMLDataSet (as I would generally prefer), did
    not actually come down to a problem in the page source code, but
    actually to a problem with the very XML itself:
    I tried to recreate the simple nested data set example (
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/data_region/NestedDataSample.html)
    and basically used the same code and an almost identical XML
    structure... yet it doesn't work. The contents of dsFeatures just
    won't be displayed and when I'm inspecting the contents of
    dsFeatures (using Firebug) it shows me that the dataset is empty. I
    just don't get why it works for your example, but not for my
    modified version... I can't see any crucial difference :-s.
    To simplify the problem I deleted most tags from the XML and
    saved it in a static document "variations.xml":
    <variations>
    <variation>
    <name>Var 1</name>
    <features>
    <feature>none</feature>
    <feature>feat1</feature>
    <feature>feat2</feature>
    </features>
    </variation>
    <variation>
    <name>Var 2</name>
    <features>
    <feature>none</feature>
    </features>
    </variation>
    </variations>
    The source of the test page would be:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0
    Transitional//EN" "
    http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

    Evidently, I'm missing some essential simple point here...
