Date should be displayed on query execution

hello all
when v execute a query date should display when query is executed.like if i execute query on 01/06/2006 this date should be displayed and when execute query on 01/02/2006 this date should be displayed?,like that so on?
kindly anyone let me know how it should be done?

hi Balaji,
in bex analyzer, you can display the date with menu business explorer -> display text elements -> general, you will see some info, 'author'... 'last refreshed'.
in web (WAD) you can use web item 'text element' and choose element type 'general text' and
element id 'SYUZEIT'.
element id can be used
general text elements:
- technical name of the query (REPTNAME)
- description of the query (REPTXTLG)
- InfoProvider (INFOCUBE)
- key date for the query (SRDATE)
- validity of the data (date and time) (ROLLUPTIME)
- the person who wrote the query (AUTHOR)
- the last time the query was changed (date and time) (MODTIME)
- the last person to make changes to the query (MODUSER)
- current user (SYUSER)
- the last time the query was refreshed (date and time) (SYUZEIT)

Baseline date should in display mode

Hi all,
Our client wants baseline date should be display mode only. Now users are changing the proposed baseline date so client wants this should be not changeable.

Go to SPRO --> Financial Accounting --> Financial Accounting (New) --> Document --> Rules for changing document --> Document Changes Rules, line item.
In that go to field name BSEG-ZFBDT for account type D (customers), K (Vendors), etc as required. Double click on that field name and remove the tick "Field can be changed"
This will solve your problem.

This is my first time posting here, so I'm sorry, I re-read my post several times and honestly did think I provided enough information, but you're right, it wasn't the right kind. I work with jpg, psd, ai, svg, and pdf files. Most of my stacks are three different file types of the same image, usually jpg, psd/ai, and pdf.
I have not recieved any error messages
I am not having issues opening raw files, I am not having printing issues, I have listed the troubleshooting steps I have taken.
Is there any information you need that I missed? I'm trying not to be a dingus, but I'll have to ask you to be patient with me in the meantime. I haven't ever looked up half the hardware/software details that were suggested and I don't know how to off the top of my head, so I provided what I already knew how to

Master data taking Long time in Query Execution

hello Experts
I have an issue while executing a query.
The input parameter for the query is the 0customer variable in which when I try to select the value from the tab Select From the List & goes for single value option or any other option then goes for long time loading the values & then come out with a short dump.
I want to know why this is happening.
Please help me out from this.

I have checked the info Object - 0Customer.
The following settings are there in Bex Explorer tab ::
Query Def. Filter Value Selection - Values in Master Data Table
Query Execution Filter Val. Selectn - Only Posted Values for navigation
Also the Value for display in the object are only 1000. This takes time only in analyzer not in designer.
What I have to do, plz suggest

"Variable applied"display after query execution through WAD incorrect

Hi ,
In my queries i provide varible entries for 0FISCPER, 0FISCVARNT along with other variables.In the query i dispplay the values for the variables applied.When i run these queries through 2004s WAD if i were to select 0FISCPER = 01/08/2007 and 0FISCVARNT = AK after query execution the variable applied displays -
<b>0FISCPER = AK/01/08/2007
0FISCVARNT = #</b>.
It works fine on 3.5 templates.We are on SP9.We have a sandbox also and i tested it out in sandbox and have no problem there.
Is anyone facing the same issue?

Not much experience in WAD but I think there should be a query in BEx Query Designer.
There you can choose that characteristics which takes time. Select "Advanced" tab from right hand side.
Under "Filter Value Selection During Query Execution" you will get 4 options.
BTW if you have a query on DSO then creating index ( secondary) on the affected characteristics would also resolve your problem

data is not getting displayed in query, i am getting the error message, that exception aggregation has to be maintained for 0calday.

Default date should be displayed in Locale's date short format in Prompt

Dear BI Gurus,
I would like to take your attention to resolve one of date format issue which we are currently facing.
We want to display Current_Date in locale's date short format ( For US: MM/DD/YYYY and for UK: DD/MM/YYYY) in a dashboard prompt. Also we need to pass the the prompt value to the report filter through presentation variable.
For this we used logical sql to get the default value as select Times.time_id from sh when times.time_id= Current_Date. Once I click on the preview button it was showing in locale's date short format. But when we place the prmpt in dashboard, the default date was coming up in 'YYYY-MM-DD' format. But since calendar picker is giving value in locale's date short format (For US: MM/DD/YYYY and for UK: DD/MM/YYYY), there is an inconsistency in the display format. So could you please provide any workaround to make them consistent.

We are looking for default date display format in dashboard prompt. i.e For US locale, default date and calendar picker should be displayed in MM/DD/YYYY and for UK locale, default and Calendar picker should be displayed in DD/MM/YYYY.
We don't have any problem in report output for different locales. Also we don't need to create 2 seperate reports for different locales. If we set the data format to [FMT:dateShort], it will display as per the locale's date short format. Please provide workaround to display in dashboard prompt.

SNP Planned order START date should be displayed in DATA VIEW

I have a very complex requirement. It is as follows
We are using heuristics and capacity leveling for our requirement. We generally see the planned orders in the SNP view but here additional requirement is that we have to see the start date of the production planned in the date view, ie the client would like to know when the actual production starts and wants to see the quantity produced on the first day in the date view.
In capacity view,we can observe the resource load which is the start date of the production planned, this load is in percentage now do i related that into quanitity and even if we do related that percentage in quantity then how do i see it the SNP data view plan.

you can use receipts view /sapapo/rrp4 transaction where you can see receipts. This transactions offers you the selection based on product,source,target,dates,resource and you will get the list of orders.
Secondly ,if you right click in the receipts cell,select display details,it will show you order details at the bottom of the data view.

Only overall result need tp be displayed after query execution

Hello Everyone,
                                    I am requirement on query analysis " OVERALL RESULTS". The scenario is explained below.
                            I am dealing with BW HR Reporting. Now if i execute the query from 2008. 01 to 2008 03. The Result will be displayed for 2008.01, 2008.02, 2008.03. and atlast the overall result. The requirement is , after executing the query for the calday 2008.01. to 2008.03 , i need to get only the OVERALL RESULT". The details of the individauls months will be taken care at the jump target level.
                           Can somebody give th inputs from your end, so that only the overall results will be displayed.

Attribute data is not displaying in Query

Hi BW Experts,
i enahnced some of the fileds to 0employee iam able to see the data in RSA3 and infoobject master data.bu when i executed the query these enhanced fileds data is not diplaying may i know what is the reason ,i executed attribut change run also . can any one suggest on this issue.

Are u using navigational attribute of the enhanced char of 0employee in the query ?
if yes , then after loading the master data of 0employee have you run atttribute change run from rsa1..>menu bar tools...attribute change run .
check master data of 0employee and see whether R3 data is matching with BI for the enhanced char or not ?
also check in infocube whether u can see the enhanced char of 0employee correctly ?
My suggestion is to use only navigational attribute of enhanced char or you can add the char to infocube and then in update rule master data look up option . In later case you need to reload the data of infocube.
This can be avoided by using navigational attribute.
Check the cube data for the employee along with the enhanced char .
create a new query along with 0Employee and enhanced char and one key figure and run it for testing purpose and see the result.

Master Data(texts) not displayed in Query/Analyser

I hv master Data's like Cost center,Cost element,vendor,Customer, for which the data is displayed only as key and no text is displayed,even though i hv selected key and text option,,also i hv checked their corresponding master datas,,i c that all the data has been loaded respectively.

Goto RSA1 and double click on the infoobject.
Goto the Business Explorer Tab and make the Display Option as Key and Text.

AFTER LOADING THE DATA INTO THE INFOCUBE IT SHOULD NOT DISPLAY IN REPORTING

Bit strange requirement. But if you have data in Cube and automatically its will be available for Reporting. unlike ODS, we do not have option of "Automatic request activation".
However on repoeting side, you can restrict the values to # and exclude everything from slection. But not good solution as such.

New Field at Query execution time.

Dear All,
I need some help in Bex User Exit.
My requirement is that, I require a new field in Bex report and that field is Flag(Change Flag).
the condition is that IF START DATE (CHAR) IS CURRENT MONTH (QUERY EXECUTION MONTH)
THEN FLAG SHOUD BE 'Y' ELSE SPACE.
I cannot put this field in Cube as for this the entire Data load logic need to be changed for this Flag.
I have created formula variable using Exit. But code is not working .
Can you please help in this.
Requirement:
If START DATE = CURRENT MONTH THEN FLAG = 'Y' ELSE SPACE ' '.

I am not sure if I got your question right but you can use virtual characteristics in the cube. You do not need to reload data and can assign the new characteristic in it's own dimension or include in any existing dimension. You will need to reactivate update rules though...

Customer number is not displayed at Query

I have created a query where i need to display the Receivables aging Report.
when i check data at Cube level data is coming properly for Every Customer.
but when i filter customer at Query level data is not displayed at query level.
Please can any one provide me solution.
