Date stamps appearing incorrectly on ios

Hi there
Ive been going through my newly converted library organising things and adding a few more photos. Ive recently added a bunch of old black and white scanned photos which I gave a date of 1800 just so they'd appear at the top of my list (and perhaps Id eventually find the correct dates). it all looks correct when viewed in photos on my mac, however when view on iOS the photos don't have their amended dates . Am i doing something wrong or is this a bug?
many thanks for any help!
Nick

I've just realised - there's nothing at all showing up before 2000 on any of my iOS devices!  There's not some kind of Y2K bug going on here is there?! (I'm half joking/half serious)
Perhaps somebody could confirm that photos before the year 2000 are appearing in there iOS devices just to put that idea to rest?

  • Remove Photo Date Stamp?

I'm using a Nikon CoolPix 7900 travel camera. I just returned from Europe with about 1,000 photos on SD cards for this camera. When I download the photos using PS Elements 2.0 every photo has a Date & Time stamp on it. I don't know how or why this happens since I don't think my camera has a feature for specifying this information?
Is there any way to remove this date & time stamp before printing the photos? I still have the original photos on the cards.
I'm desperate and willing to upgrade my version of PE to a higher version to be able to accomplish this task.
Thanks, in advance, for any advice you may provide.

Thanks Barbara for your reply even though it wasn't what I had hoped for. I have the clone tool on my PE 2.0 and understand how to use it. It will be quite painstaking to use it for all my photos.
What is the Healing Brush Tool you speak of? Would it be more efficient for my purpose than the Clone tool?
For your information, I have taken photos with this same camera before and no date stamp has appeared. I have changed no settigns that I am aware of and now suddenly the date stamp appears? I'll double check my users manual for an explanation.

  • CS6 Bridge "Lens Specification Data" appears incorrect (W7 Pro 64Bit SP1)

Viewing Camera Data (Exif) in CS6 Bridge
Noc ahgnges to default settings applied in CS6 Bridge
    Observed Results:
The new "Lens Specification Data" under the Camera Data (Exif) appears to be be correctly reporting the lens type but shows the lens as "f/0" which is incorrect
This appears to be the case with pictures taken with two different lenes both of which are reported as f/0
Further up in the same tab the "Lens" data is correctly reported for the lens type and maximum aperture.
    Expected Result:
Wasd to see the maximum aperture of the lens reproted in addition to the lens type, which I would ahve expected to be the same data as reproted under the "Lens" information higher up in the same panel.
Which begs the question what is the difference between the "Lens" information and the "Lens Specification Data" meant to be ?
Observed these results with the following two lenses:
    EF-S17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM
    EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM
    System Info:
Won't let me paste in :(

    Hi Baichao,
    Thank you for your response.
The camera in questions is a Canon 7D (actullay I shoot with a pair of 7D's and the results are the same for both cameras), the files are both .CR2 and .JPG, with the same results being seen for both file formats. the images have not been edited in any other applications but viewed immediately after donwload to the PC from the memory card.
I have also viewed these and other older images in both the CS6 and CS5 versions of bridge for comparision purposes and see the same differences irrespective of how old the image is or if its been previously edited in CS5 for both .CR2 and .JPG files.
In addition I also don't see an indication of the subject distance displayed in CS6 bridge, although the option is selected and works as expected in CS5 bridge.
I will send you a seperate email with screen shots showing an example in both CS5 and CS6.
    Regards Mark

  • Add Date Stamp

    Hi,
In a proxy to file(receiver file adapter) scenario, is there any way to append date in a specific format(ddmmyyyy) at the end of the file name.
    ex: sample23122009
Add time stamp adds the date in a different format.
If if is possible thru Receiver file adapter operating system command.
Please suggest me how to do that.
    thanks.
    sri

    Hello Arunsri,
Try to use dynamic file name configuration option in receiver file adapter channel. In mapping just concatenate the date stamp as required with your filename.Take this as constant.
For this you may modify u r target structure. Add one more node as
    FileName -- Node
    -FileName -- Field
    In content conversion use that
    FileName.fieldFixedLengths - 0(Zero)
FileName.fixedLengthTooShortHandling -- Cut. So that the extra field would not appear in file.
    Hopt it will helps.
    Cheers

  • Sms/imessage entries missing time/date stamp

I just upgraded to IOS7.  I could not find a way to show the time/date stamp of a text.  This I used quite often... for example, if my husband texts me to say he is on his way home, I could look at the time stamp to see how many minutes ago that was.  Is there a way to put the time stamp back on the texts like it was in all the previous versions?
UPDATE:  The time/date stamp is there, but the frequency that it puts a new time/date stamp must be fairly long.  I had a text started with my husband at 4:55.  At 5:32 (looking at the time stamp that shows up on my iMac that shows same texts my iPhone does) another text was made.  The only way I can tell when the very absolute LAST text was written on my iPhone is to back out to the menu of all my contact listings I have message conversations with.  There it shows when last text was sent... 6:20.  That is Almost 50 minutes later than the last text, it is almost an hour and a half since the initial text. But, yet all under same text date stamp of 4:55
    EXPLAINED A DIFFERENT WAY:
    4:55 first text
    5:32 additional text
    6:20 next text
Only time stamp shown on my iphone is the 4:55, all these texts are under the same time/date stamp.  My iMac mirrors the same texts and shows all three incremental time stamps.  That is how my phone used to be.  How do I get it back?

You should tap you scren and move like you want to move the full scren to the left! A column will appear!

  • Email names are appearing incorrectly in my mail

Email names are appearing incorrectly in my mail inbox.
The from names are incorrect or missing the full name, some from names have commas around them when others don't, some are coming through with 'test' in the subject line on my phone but if I view on my computer, 'test' is not showing..
I work in email marketing so this is extrmely important that the correct from names are displaying and certain text i.e 'test' are not showing on a live email sent to customers...

This seems to be a problem with Yahoo! that started within the past few days.  I am assuming that you are accessing your Yahoo! Mail through Safari.  Until a fix is issued, you have two options -- (1) use the Mail app included in iOS, logging in with your Yahoo! account information or (2) when in Yahoo! Mail in Safari, click on your profile name/pic in the bottom left corner, choose Options, and then choose the last option, which displays your e-mail using the older classic version of Yahoo! Mail.  It's not as pretty or easy to manuever around, but at least it shows the images in your e-mails, which is the most important thing.  Both Apple and Yahoo! have been contacted about this issue, so hopefully a fix will be released soon.

  • IPhoto causes portrait format images to sort incorrectly in iOS

After importing photos into an Event in iPhoto, then on quitting iPhoto, the portrait format photos within that Event have their modification date/time changed from the creation date/time (which is what it should be) to the date/time that the photo was imported into iPhoto.  This causes the Photos App under iOS 6.0.1 and above to sort the photos within that Event so that all the landscape format images are displayed ahead of all the portrait format images.  This is because the iOS Photos App incorrectly sorts on modification date/time rather than creation date/time.
Steps to Reproduce: Take a number of photos with a camera that records orientation information in the EXIF data (e.g. Nikon DSLR or similar).  Ensure there is a mixed assortment of both landscape and portrait format photos.  Import those photos into an Event in iPhoto (with Sort by Date selected).  You will see in iPhoto that the images are sorted correctly in chronological order.  Examine the Info (CMD-I) on both types of image, and you will see that modification date/time is the same as creation date/time for every image (as it should be).  Now quit iPhoto, and relaunch it.  In iPhoto, look again at photo Info (CMD-I) of photos in that Event, and you will see that all of the portrait format images have now had their modification date/time changed to the date/time of import into the iPhoto library.  Using iTunes, sync that Event with an iOS device (e.g. iPad).  On the iOS device, look at the Event in the Photos App, and you will see it is sorted incorrectly, with all the landscape images first, followed by all the portrait images.

Sigh.  I know I'm being troll bait, and I really don't believe you can be so obtuse, but I'll have one last stab, just in case you're genuine.
Point 1.  Nothing on your Mac needs iPhoto.  Every application on your Mac can deal with photos as files, without intervention or advice from iPhoto.  Even the Finder gets it right, orienting the images correctly from EXIF information.  Even Quicklook gets it right.  You can remove iPhoto from your Mac and everything will continue to display images correctly.  There is no need for iPhoto to change mod date in the EXIF data on a photograph inside the iPhoto library, simply because the camera was oriented vertically instead of horizontally when the picture was taken.  It helps no-one and the only thing affected, adversely, is the Photos App on iOS.
Point 2.  If it were really the warped intention of iPhoto developers that vertically oriented photos should be considered to have been modified when they were imported into the iPhoto library, then iPhoto should treat them the same as it treats other photos modified in iPhoto.  It should put a copy of the original file, as modified, into the Modified section of its library, and it should leave the original in the Originals section.  And it should offer a 'Revert to Original' option.  It does not do that for these vertical images.  There is no copy in the Modified part of the library.  And 'Revert to Original' is greyed out, unobtainable.
Point 3.  It is only in the past 5 or 6 months that iPhoto began clobbering the modification date of vertical images.  For the previous 9 years that I've been using iPhoto and the 18,000 images in my iPhoto library, everything had been fine.  Only the vertically oriented photos imported into iPhoto since version 9.3.2 have had their mod date trashed.  This is a pernicious and no doubt unintentional bug, that fortunately impacts nothing else on the Mac (and assists nothing else either).  It does affect the Photos App on iOS.  It might affect the iPhoto App on iOS too.  I don't know, as I don't have it.
Point 4.  The iOS Photos App is also incorrect in sorting on mod date instead of creation date.  This began with iOS 6.0.1.  I have also submitted a bug report to Apple on that issue.

  • Iphoto 08   7.1.1 VS IPHOTO 6   6.0.6 dialog and date stamping photos

    Hello again,
I asked how to date stamp and describe each job photo I take on my 08 version of Iphoto since it doesn't have the "YEARBOOK" selection in the BOOK formats. well I just tried something for the he## of it and it worked real well. Don't use BOOKS at all. Put the photos in ALBLUMS, click "select all" in EDIT click "batch change" in PHOTOS, set Title to Date and TIME then when the time and date show under each picture type next to them what you want to describe. Cilck on PRINT and a drop down menue will appear, chose "Proof sheet" and hit print again and off you go. NOTE if the date and time do not appear when you choose "Date and Time go to VIEW and make sure "Titles" is checked. It works for me -Now back to all my other problems --How come MIGRATE ASSISTANT doesn't????

    Sorry Larry,
It was late and I was blind so I threw out the question -----The problem is I used the Migration Assistant when I got a new HD installed in my G4 and nothing happened other than the Fire Wire logo just kept running on my screen. I tied my G4 to my Imac with a Fire Wire--followed screen prompt on my G4 to restart my Imac while holding down the "T" key (on the IMAC). I did that and the Fire Wire logo appeared and began running in the faded mode on my IMAC screen. (Normally it should be a bright gray and yellow) I let it run but nothing ever happened and no info showed up on my G4. I tried it several times until the definition of Insanity popped into my head. I have a Rocstor back up HD for storage, tried leaving connected and disconnecting it to no avail. I assume that the Fire Wire logo running in the "ghost" mode is telling me something unfortunately I am just to clueless to know what it is. I am sure that I changed cables (reasonably) as that would be a natural, but nothing changed. I have gone the other way, G4 to IMAC using the same procedures with no problem.
    Thanks, Mel

  • Random date stamps

I teach a class of students that maintain roughly a dozen
websites for our school. It's important to show when a site has
been updated, so I've had each of my students insert on the bottom
of each of their sites a date stamp that automatically updates on
save (we all use DW8). However, recently we've noticed that some of
our sites are showing a random placement of the date stamp within
individual pages (nowhere near the original date), or three or four
instances of the date right next to the date (without updating).
I've searched on this forum and found several other instances
of people having this problem (mainly in MX), but there appears to
be no cause or resolution (the posts were dated nearly a year ago).
Any new ideas? We literally have to edit the code to erase these
random insertions. Is there a workaround, or do we need to just
manually type in the date that we've updated? Please note that some
of these sites use a style sheet with the date, some do not -- the
outcome is the same; some pages within the site are affected, and
    some are not.
    Thanks.

It's posted from time to time here. I have no idea what
    causes it.
Frankly, I don't (and wouldn't) use that feature, anyhow.

  • Missing time/date stamp

I imported footage from my Sony DCR-HC32 mini-DV into imovie (4.0.1) to edit and when I "shared" it back to my camera the time/date stamp was no longer showing. Just the dash lines at the bottom right corner of my LCD screen. I have done this procedure on many occasions and the stamp is always included. Does anyone know what happened and how can I fix it? I need the time code to appear on my final tape. FYI the clip still shows the date/time when it's clicked on.
    Thanks.

  • Correcting the date stamp with files converted with mpgstreamclip.

I have converted some files using streamclip but it changes the date of the file to the date of the conversion. When I try importing them into imovie they are sorted incorrectly. The files were recorded in 07 but now have the date stamp of today. Can anyone help me solve this I am new to the mac and converting footage.

It seems that I have solved my own problem while searching for answers.
First I selected the clip with the incorrect date
Next select File and select Adjust clip date and time.
    Hope this helps someone.

  • EEnvelope with Date Stamp

I am using the eEnvelope with Date Stamp to send
secure email attachments.  It works great, however, the timestamp that appears on the
envelope has no relationship to the time at which the enve
lope was created.  Is this just the way it works or is there a way to make the time appear as the actual time of creation of the envelope?

    How do I tell Preview/Safari not to date-stamp when I print/save a webpage as a PDF?

  • How do I keep the time and date stamp of my photo when exporting from iphoto

    Hi,
I notice the time and date stamp changed when I exported the photos from iPhoto 11 to a external HDD.
When I looked at the information about the exported photos on my external HDD the time and date changed to the time and date of when I exported the photos form iPhoto instead of keeping the time and date information of when the photo was taken as it appears in iPhoto.
I thought the time and date stamp is in the meta data of the photo file and can't be changed, am I correct?
    Thanks,

    Kyzelios,
How can view the meta data from "finder" or do I need a 3rd party app?
"Get info" function only gives me the creation date which is the export date and time.

  • Mail.app using Day of the Year for date stamps.  Whaaaat?

Here's a new one, for me anyway:
It seems all of my emails in the mail.app have suddenly been stamped with dates that use the day of the year, rather than day of the month, i.e:
    37 February, 2011, instead of 6 February, 2011.
This date format appears in both the Viewer Window and Message Headers, and is seen in both sent/received dates, on all saved/new messages (all the way back to a few from 2001) and in both of the mail.app accounts I use: one straight-up gmail, the other a worldshare.net address, also using the Gmail server.
This behavior is not present when reading through webmail, nor is it a problem on my iPod Touch.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks.

It was all in Language and Text pref pane. I was pulling day of year, rather than day of month.
Big ups to ibook_Steve over at MacNN!
