Date time interval calculation

I have a Calendar object that contains the current date and time. I have a timer that runs every 20 minutes.
Does anyone know how I can compute the next scheduled run date and time ?
For example assuming the interval for the timer is every 20 minutes , the Calender object named lastRunTime is at 10/16/2001 10:15 am.
I need to know that the next run time would be 10/16/2001 10:35 am.
Also if the lastRunTime is 10/16/2001 11:55 pm I would need to calculate 10/17/2001 12:15 am.
Thanks in advance for any help.

The API documentation for the Calendar class has a ton of examples like this.
yourCalendarObject.add(Calendar.MINUTE, 20)

  • Date VS Date Time in Calculated Field

    I have a property for a patients records called Date of Birth. On the table defining it I saved it as a "date" type and It displays only
    the date on the screen as I would like. For some reason though when I needed a calculated field in the Medication record I added a property to the patient records table that concatenated two fields BirthDate and the Age. I used the following code and then
    added an other screen data item on the medication screen to pull the DoBA property up but got a Date/Time instead of just a Date.
    partial void DoBA_Compute(ref string result)
    // Set result to the desired field value
    result = "DoB:" + BirthDate + " Age:" + Age;
    //This is for the property "Date of Birth and Age"
    //I also used the following code to calculate "Age"
    partial void Age_Compute(ref int result)
    // Set result to the desired field value
    int age = DateTime.Now.Year - BirthDate.Year;
    if (BirthDate > DateTime.Now.AddYears(-age)) age--;
    result = age;

    I'm using cast instead of Convert.ToInt because the last round to value to upper int if value > 0.5 or to lower if value < 0.5 ( I don't remember now if equal goes to < or > ... read function doc ) while Cast to int do not round the value.
    In my code the day of the birthday
    still
    marks
    the
    previous
    age,
    from the
    day after
    one more year.
    by adding
    +
    1
    age
    increases
    by the
    day
    of the birthday

  • SQL query for date & time interval

    Hello everyone,
    there is my problem
    I have to make a search for events that are taking place during inserted date & time .
    There's the table structure:
    event
    datefrom
    dateto
    timefrom
    timeto
    The problem is, when I try:
    select * from xyz where datefrom <= inserted_date and dateto >= inserted_date and timefrom <= inserted_time and timeto >= inserted time;
    then I don't get back all records.
    eg: user inserts date = 10.10.2010 and time 10:00 and in the table is event [abc 11:00 9.10.2010 -> 09:00 11.10.2010] stored following way:
    event         abdc
    datefrom   09.10.2010
    dateto        11.10.2010
    timefrom    11:00
    timeto         09:00
    => this event won't be found, because the sql logic compares only single parameters and not their context.
    Do you have any idea, how to solve this issue?
    Thank you.
    Lukas

    Hello Hubert,
    thank you very much for your proposal, but your code makes the same select as mine (but in a more user friendly look :).
    Table:
    datefrom 09.10.2010
    dateto 11.10.2010
    timefrom 11:00
    timeto 09:00
    Event date = 10.10.2010 and time 10:00.
    Your query:
    select * from xyz where 10.10.2010 between 09.10.2010 and 11.10.2010 (that's so far ok) and 10:00 between 11:00 and 9:00 (no return there, because 10:00 doesn't lie within interval 11:00 -> 9:00... actually no value lies there) ;
    Don't you have any other idea?
    Thank you
    Lukas

  • Date-Time Arithmetic

    I'm a long time Excel user.  I want to import a few of my Excel spreadsheets into Numbers so I can then take advantage of iCloud Drive to add data to these particular Numbers spreadsheet from my iPad Air 2 (latest version of IOS 8).  Any modifications to the Numbers spreadsheet will be done on my 2 year old 27" iMac running the latest version of Yosemite and Numbers.
    All my Excel spreadsheets have imported to Numbers without a hitch except the one that uses Date-Time arithmetic.  Excel allows you to put a date in one cell and time in another and to add the two to create a number based on January 1, 1904 as the reference.  This makes it easy to do Date-Time Arithmetic.  As best I can tell you can only do this in Numbers if you enter a date and a time in each cell, which is both cumbersome and time consuming.  I can't seem to find any way around this.  Is there a way to add a date cell to a time cell in Numbers similar to Excel that I haven't found?  Thanks.

    Klavezzo,
    Date-Time values are where Numbers diverges most from Excel in the things that I use frequently. I no longer use Excel, so the differences don't affect me the way they might affect you or others. In Numbers, every Date has a Time associated with it, and every Time has a Date associated with it. They always exist together.
    There are functions to strip out individual elements of the Date-Time value, if you need to: YEAR, MONTH, DAY, HOUR, MINUTE and TIMEVALUE. The first 5 are self explanatory, TIMEVALUE returns the decimal fraction of a day corresponding to the Time portion of the Date-Time value.
    A Duration value can be useful if you prefer not to work in decimal fractions of a day, and it is especially important for Date-Time difference calculations.
    The key things to remember about Date-Time calculations are 1. You can't add two Date-Time values, and 2. The result of a Date-Time subtraction is a Duration, and 3. To add to a Date-Time value, you can either add a Duration or you can add a numeric value of days, and decimal fractions of a day, for the time portion.
    As with most values in Numbers, you can change how a value is displayed with formatting, but you can't change the data type with formatting. The only exception that I can think of is that when a value is formatted as Text. Then it no longer can be manipulated as a value, so it truly is altered internally.
    If you give us some examples of your calculations, we can suggest ways to deal with them in Numbers.

  • Fatch data from a table after a given time interval

    Hello
    I want to fetch date from a table after a fixed time interval is there any
    way to do it.
    thanks

    Not sure what you want. But maybe this helps.
    SELECT date+interval FROM atable;
    Also if you tell us more about the business case the answers could be more to the point.

  • Date and time diffrence calculations

    Dear Experts,
    I have a doubt regarding the date and time diffrence calculation please help me out.
    This is regarding the report called u201CVehicle tracking systemu201D. The purpose of this report is to give the user information like how many vehicles have come in and how much time each vehicle has parked in the filling in the refinery and also the average time taken for a customer.
    For this we have created 4 info objects called
    1)     Park In Time
    2)     Park In Date
    3)     Gate Out Time
    4)     Gate Out Date
    We have created a routine which calculate the difference in Vehicle Park In Date & Time to Gate Out Time and Date
    The Time difference is number format.
    Example: For Vehicle1
    Park in Date and Park in Time are         27.11.2008 and 17:43:35
    Gate out Date and Gate out Time are     29.11.2008 and 09:36:16
    Here routine will calculate the difference in the above date and time and the output is like this     1,155.138,000 (i.e. 1day, 15 hours 51 mins and 38 seconds) that means the vehicle has parked for 1 day and 15 hours etc.
    But we require the output like    1 day, 15:51:38
    Please give us the solution how to go about it.
    Thanks in advance,
    venkat

    Hi,
    I think in regard to your problem, the solution will be to make the variables in the query runtime by the replacement path variable.
    Please find the below link, its very much self explanatory and in regard to your problem.
    Hope it helps!

  • Basic and scheduling  dates & time calculation in process order creation

    Hi guru's,
    i have one requirement, i need to calculate and display the basic and scheduled dates & times based on the given input i.e material , plant , process order type , quantity , UOM and scheduling type ( for corresponding scheduling type user will provide either start date or finish date ) using RFC. can  u plz provide any function module for this purpose or logic for calculating the same  , as i am working on version 4.7ee .
    Awaiting for a quick response.
    Regards,
    Madan

    Dear Rohan,
    1.Check the length of break timings defined in the resource that is assigned in the phase.
    2.Check in OPUZ whether for the process order type and plant combination whether scheduling is to include the break time also
    (whether the check box for scheduling with breaks) is included.
    Check and revert back.

  • [8i] Date/Time calculation problem...

    So, I am currently facing a situation where I need to calculate the total hours a workstation is in use for each day in a particular time period. I have a table with the log of each time each workstation is used. The problem is, a workstation can be used for any amount of time, starting on any day and ending on any day. This means that a particular entry in the log can span multiple days. I'm not sure how to split the difference between the end date/time of an entry and the start date/time of the entry over multiple days.
    Here's a sample table and some sample data for what I'm trying to do:
    -- Note: in reality, this table contains more columns
    CREATE TABLE     my_hrs
    (     record_id     NUMBER     NOT NULL
    ,     sdatetime     DATE
    ,     edatetime     DATE
    ,     workstation     VARCHAR2(4)
         CONSTRAINT my_hrs_pk PRIMARY KEY (record_id)
    -- Note: sdatetime, edatetime, and workstation CAN all be NULL, though I won't provide
    -- any sample data for these situations since I want to ignore them in my results
    -- Additionally, there are hundreds of workstations, but I'm only using 2 to simplify the sample data
    INSERT INTO     my_hrs
    VALUES (12345,TO_DATE('03/01/2010 08:00','mm/dd/yyyy HH24:MI'),TO_DATE('03/01/2010 13:35','mm/dd/yyyy HH24:MI'),'123A');

    123A          3/5/2010     2.50000
    321B          3/5/2010     0.00000Is this possible? (Please note, if the workstation was not used on a particular day, I want it to show 0 hours for that workstation for that day). Another thing to note is that I'm working with Oracle 8i.
    Thanks in advance for the help!

    Thanks, Frank, your explanation helped. My main problem was just that I couldn't picture what that line of the query was doing, even working from the inside out. I learn better through visual and hands-on methods, so to really understand, I had to look at the cross-join of a and h and go line by line. (In case there's anybody who looks at this post in the future and learns like I do, I've posted that data below).
    This definitely solves my problem!

    By the way, this query is full of things that could be done better in later versions of Oracle. Generating table a is just one of them. Starting in Oracle 9, you can do a CONNECT BY query on dual to generate exacly how many rows you need. You never have to worry about an upper bound, and it's much faster than using ROWNUM. From time to time you might gently remind the people who decide these things that you're using a very old, unsupported version of Oracle, and that everyone could be more productive if you upgraded.
    >
    I could go on and on on this topic.... we have tried and continue to try to convince the powers that be to pay for the upgrades... if it were just Oracle that needed to be upgraded, we might actually have a chance at succeeding. As it is, ...ha.

  • HR get Simulation Data IT 553 "calculation of Service" for imputed times?!?

    Hi guys!
    what i need are the calculated times for a person.
    How these times are calculated is quiet complicated and defined in customicing.
    when you add an Infotyp 553, you can go to simulation.
    There you can get the Data "Table of inputed times".
    Is there a way how i can access theses Data in my Abap report??
    Thomas

    Hi ,
    sorry , i am unable to understand ur question , any how u can try FM HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION , u can test in simulation as well , for this u need to pass Export params NOCOMMIT = 'X'.
    plz ref documentation of this FM inSE37 , and search in sdn for sample programs.
    regards

  • Capturing data of the previous time interval with Oracle Stream(HotLog)

    I read from 10g Oracle manual that Oracle Steam can capture data within specified time interval with begin_data and end_data options.
    For example :
    BEGIN
    DBMS_CDC_PUBLISH.CREATE_CHANGE_SET(
    change_set_name => 'set_cns',
    description => 'set_cns...',
    change_source_name => 'HOTLOG_SOURCE',
    stop_on_ddl => 'y',
    begin_date => sysdate,
    end_date => sysdate + 1);
    END;
    However if I set begin_date to previous time from now, Oracle doesn't caputre data anymore in this case.(HotLog method)
    (I set begin_date => sysdate - 1/24
    end_date => sysdate + 1/24.)
    Does anybody know to capture the previous time interval with Oracle Stream?

    Change C2 to:
    cursor c2(passing_date IN date) IS
      SELECT MONITOR_ID, SAMPLE_ID,
                   COLL_TIME, DEW_POINT
        FROM ARCHIVE_DATA
        WHERE COLL_TIME < passing_date
        ORDER BY COLL_TIME desc;And rather than populating a table with the three records, you could just select the three records using: where COLL_TIME between Prev3_time and Prev1_time

  • Data record with time interval error

    Hi,
    I have come across the following error.
    Data record with Time interval error and data is getting loaded into data target and no PSA in between.
    thanks
    kris

    Hi Kris,
    Could you please explain your problem little bit more. I mean what is source and target, or you using IP or DTP.
    goto the details in monitor tab, you will come to know to which record yo uhave error.
    If you are running IP, it is recommended to keep PSA.

  • How to set the time interval for data obtain through labview via write measureme

    I'm need to programme to obtain data from oscilloscope. Currently my laptop able to communicate with Agilent DSO6014A oscilloscope via USB. I'm include the write measurement in mty program and save the data in .lvm file. But the time interval in the data are too small which is in micron seconds. Is there a way to modify the interval values?

    The attached file is the capture of my diagram. Thanks.

  • Time dependent data load to BW using Fixed Time Interval selection

    Hi,
    I'm facing a problem in extracting time-dependent master data to BW. I would really appreciate if anyone can help in this regard.
    We have a table in R/3 which has time-dependent data. For example, for a single OBJID we could have multiple records with different BEGDA/ENDDA and different attributes. When we try to load this data into BW InfoObject, we see a time-dependent data selection in update tab of infopackage. We need to select BEGDA/ENDDA in datasource since otherwise during loads we would get a "DUPLICATE RECORDS" load error in BW.
    The problem is when we enter a Fixed-time interval Start Data and End Date in the InfoPackage, only the records with that StartDate and EndDate are loaded. Ideally I would want to see all the records whose BEGDA/ENDDA falls in the range of StartDate and EndDate.
    I tried modifying the ROOSFIELD table for the data source. I made the BEGDA SELOPTS as GE(16) and ENNDA SELOPTS as LE(64). But still it doesn't seem to work. I checked if the change to ROOSFIELD has any affect in RSA3. Unless we give a range for BEGDA it doesn't seem to behave as expected. Could someone let me know how I can load all records to BW whose BEGDA/ENDDA fall in the range of StarteDate and EndDate.
    Thanks,
    Anil.

    Anil,
    If you are using a custom dataSource, make sure the dataSource fields for begda and ennda are labeled "datefrom" and "dateto".
    Cheers,

  • Restrict the report to a time interval containing current date

    hi all,
    we have a time dependent master data object, for which there are two records in the master data for two different time interval for example
    comp valid_to valid_from amount
    ab00  10/12/2006  01/01/100 100
    ab00  31/12/9999  11/12/2006 200
    now we want to show only those record for which the current date lies in the time interval (valid_to and valid_from) i.e only the second record should be present in the report.
    how can we achieve this at the query level.
    any help will be appreciated.
    thanks,
    Rk

    Hi RK,
    Use Query Key Date(give current date) then it will only pics data which falling into that perticulr interval(Valid from & Valid to).
    You can add Key Date, at Query Properties--> show variable.
    Please check : [Query Properties|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/Helpdata/EN/07/0ab63c71f41d5ce10000000a114084/content.htm]
    Hope it Helps
