Date/ Time Setting HP Officejet 4620

How do I set the Date & Time for the Fax Log on a HP Officejet 4620?
This question was solved.
View Solution.

Date and time should be correct on the printer as that is what reflects on the fax report.   To change that, you would touch the Setup menu ( the wrench), then use  the arrows to navigate to "Preferences" then select Date and Time then touch ok.  From there use the arrows  to navigate to the portion of the date or time you want to change (the hour/minute), use the number key pad to enter the desired time.

  • Can not set time and date fax setting on officejet 4620

Can not set the time and date on Officejet 4620 when faxing.  There are no setup options available.  The log always shows "Jan 00  00:00 AM".

The time and date setting should be under the setup tools or fax setting in the printer control panel.1. Click the wrench icon on the control panel of the printer.
    2. Scroll to Tools.
    3. Scroll to Time and date.

Head to Settings -> General -> Date & Time, and make sure the Time is set correctly or the Set Automatically option is set to On.

  • Date & Time - Set Automatically Not Working

I'm experiencing some very quirky behviour with the time that appears on status bar on the home screen and the world clocks.
Ever since the DST change on the weekend my iPhone no longer acquires the correct time from the network when I have "set automatically" enabled for Date & Time. Prior to this I have traveled through various time zones and the correct time would always be displayed. Even on the World Clocks.
Now the iPhone acquires time that is -1hr. However, all the World Clocks appear correct (even for the local city that I'm in).
If I disable "set automatically" and select the city I'm in everything returns to normal and the World Clocks continue to function.
Since I travel a lot it really bothers me that the set automatically doesn't work and I would really like a long term solution so I can keep it enabled.
In the meantime, can anyone help explain the following:
    1. How is time stored on the iPhone? Is it set to local time or GMT with a timezone offset?
    2. How does it acquire time and timezone from the carrier?
    3. How does it determine the time to display on the status bar and screen saver?
    4. How does it determine the time to display for the World Clocks?
    I am running firmware 1.1.4

I am currently in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Current timezone is UTC/GMT -5 (CDT - Central Daylight Time).
When date & time is set to automatic, the time in the status bar is incorrect for Winnipeg by -1 hr. All the times in the World Clock are correct (including the display for Winnipeg).
I recall an issue I had when using Bootcamp on my Macbook. The Macbook records system time (and all time stamps) in UTC/GMT but displays the correct time once you specify the timezone offset. This caused problems when booting back and forth with Windows because Windows assumed the system clock was set to the local time (I now use VMWare Fusion). This issue was well documented on the Apple site.
I'm assuming the iPhone behaves similar to my Macbook and Mac OS and expects the system time to be set as UTC/GMT. The behaviour I'm experiencing suggests the UTC/GMT time is actually being set correctly on the iPhone (otherwise, the world clocks wouldn't display the correct time) but the timezone offset is incorrect for Winnipeg (which determines how it's displayed in the status bar).
I did some significant troubleshooting last night and gathered some data to further explain the problem. However, I fear that if I post it publicly the thread may be deleted.

  • Date & Time Set Automatically locate me in China!

I upgraded my iTouch 4G to iOs 5 the other day. A couple of days later, in the middle of the night, the time zone switched to Shanghai and I missed my doctor's appointment because the iPod thought I was in China. Now, I live in Reykjavík, Iceland, nowhere near China. What the heck has happened? I switched 'Set Automatically" off and set it to Reykjavík and it works fine. Still, when I use the Facebook app my location is Shenyang, Liaoning, China!
Is this an iOs 5 glitch or what the heck is going on? I've tried it over a different wifi and it's the same thing.

  • IPhone 5 won't hold Date & Time "set automatically."

Date & Time, when "set automatically," arbitrarily resets itself to a date and time in August.
Setting Date & Time manually works fine.
There is a thread on this glitch on the Apple Forums. It's happening in all time zones.
Apple says it's a Verizon issue.
Verizon claims it's an Apple software problem.
Anyone got a definitive answer for this?

This is the same info I posted in the Apple forum about my attempts to resolve this issue so far...
So this is what I have tried...
Turn off Auto Time and set time manually.... Fail
Reset All Settings (under General menu).... Fail
    Leave disconnected from Wi-Fi.... Fail
Restore software and set up from back up.... Fail
Restore and set up as new phone... Fail
Replace phone at Apple Store... Fail
Replace sim card at Verizon store.... Fail
Restore firmware using a fresh downloaded file... Fail
Restore firmware and set up from scratch with a new iTunes account without downloading any apps, contacts or anything.... Fail
I have verified the date/time settings on my 2 month old MacBook Pro I use to sync phones
I have verified the date/time settings on my Linksys router (not that that matters because the time changes when its not connected to the router)
All of the above has been done on both a white and a black 16gig iPhone 5 on Verizon...
The date/time for both is always behind 14 days 18 hours 48 minutes and 19 seconds so that tells me it is keeping time with something... Lets collectively compile all this info so we can get to the bottom of this problem and get it worked out quickly

  • Date & Time Set 2 Months Ahead, TM Backups Have Wrong Date

I've got an iMac here running 10.5.8. The Date & Time accidentally got set to August 11, 2010 a month ago. Backups ran as usual. When the incorrect date was noticed, the user set it back. TM didn't seem to run after that.
I got TM working again, but there are a huge string of backups dated almost 2 months in the future. Does anyone know how to fix something like this?

You have two choices; the easiest is to erase the TM drive, as Kappy says, and let Time Machine start over fresh.
To do that, see #2 in Formatting, Partitioning, Verifying, and Repairing Disks.
The alternative is to delete the future-dated backups, one at a time, via the Time Machine "Star Wars" display. If there really are a lot of them, that will take quit a while. See #12 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum).

  • Date & Time Set Before 2001

I am in the process of streamlining my Powerbook G4 laptop.
I have had some problems and have overcome those issues save one.
Whenever I turn on the computer the date and time option tells me that they are set before 2001.
December 31, 1969 to be exact.
Any ideas as to how I can get this back and on time if you will?
    Thanks

Hi, a. When the date and time revert to that default setting, it's an indication that your Powerbook's internal backup battery is dead. That can only happen if the backup battery is defective or the Powerbook is deprived of all power — AC and main battery — for longer than about ten minutes.
Remove the main battery and leave the Powerbook connected to AC power for five or six hours to recharge the backup battery. Put the main battery back in, start the machine, and disconnect the AC adapter. Set the date and time correctly, and use the computer until the main battery is drained and the machine goes to sleep. At this stage, the main battery should still have enough charge left in it to maintain the date and time for at least 24 hours, without the backup battery coming into play for that purpose. Leave the AC adapter disconnnected and let the Powerbook sleep overnight, or for at least 8 hours. If after that time the Powerbook is not sleeping, but has shut down entirely, your main battery needs to be replaced: it isn't reliable and isn't holding much of a charge at all. In that case, your backup battery will also have been drained, and your date and time will have been reset to the default date in 1969.
If your main battery gives you less than about half an hour of working time on a full charge, or if it gives you as much as an hour, but doesn't provide accurate or dependable readouts of its current condition in the menu bar, then you've probably been aware for a while that you need to replace it. If that's the case, think of your date and time resetting as a further gentle nudge to get cracking and replace the battery.
In the unlikely but possible circumstance that your main battery is completely dead or you don't have one at all, then your backup battery will drain and your date & time will reset in about ten minutes every time the AC adapter is disconnected, or there's a power outage, or the AC adapter shuts down due to noise in your AC line. In that case, get yourself a main battery and your date & time will be reliably maintained.

  • Lock screen and world clock show 24hr time, with date & time set to 12hr..

I gave my old iPhone 3GS to my wife after turning the 24hr time to off in in date & time settings but the lock screen and the world clock still display the 24hr time format (everything else is 12hr). I've tried rebooting, rebooting and leaving off for an extended time, switching 12/24 toggle back and forth in date & time settings, and deleting all locations in the world clock but the 24hr format stubbornly remains. The 24hr time confuses my wife so want times to display in the 12hr format.

I am having a similar problem with my iphone. i am in New Zeland, i have the date and time set correctly but in the world clock it is about 18 hours out. the wolrd clock for San Franciso agrees to my local time. i have tried different time zones and having the the automatic time setting on and off. i have also rebooted the iphone. any suggestions?

  • 3110c date/time setting

I have recently returned from Cyprus where I used the local network, which automatically updated the time on my phone.  Now when I swtich it on, if there's no signal when it's actually switch on, it asks for time and date to be input.  There doesnt seem to be a problem if it finds an immediate signal. I have tried all three options of "autoupdate" of time but havent solved the problem.  Any suggestions please?

  • Settings, General, Date & Time

If I set my iPhone to Set Automatically (On) under the Date & Time Setting, should it not show the time zone city where I currently am located?  My problem is that I am sitting in Phoenix, and the zone displayed is Denver.  This will be a problem come daylight savings time, because Arizona does not change.  I understand I need the On setting to correct my calendar times as I travel, and to update the time to my current location.  How do I correct the automatic setting from Denver to Phoenix?

    Page 151 iPhone5 user guide....does this help?
Set whether iPhone updates the date and time automatically
Go to Settings > General > Date & Time, then turn Set Automatically on or off.
If iPhone is set to update the time automatically, it gets the correct time over the cellular network and updates it for the time zone you’re in.
Some carriers don’t support network time in all areas. If you’re traveling, iPhone may not be able to automatically set the local time.
Set the date and time manually
Go to Settings > General > Date & Time, then turn Set Automatically off. Tap Time Zone to set your time zone. Tap the Date & Time button, then tap Set Date & Time and enter the date and time.

  • Location Services always ON with Auto Date/Time/Timezone ON

iOS5 lets you see the Location Services (LS) indicator in the Status Bar when system services are using LS in addition to when apps are using LS. I turned this ON (Settings > Location Services > System Services > Status Bar Icon) and immediately saw that "Setting Time Zone" was using LS.
I went into Settings > General > Date & Time and saw that "Set Automatically" was ON. As soon as I turned it OFF the LS indicator disappeared.
Does this mean that LS is always ON when you've got auto Date & Time on? It looks like that to me...
Anyone else seeing this? I wonder whether this is an iOS5 bug or whether it's always behaved like this?
    Thanks
    Tim

    Hi All,
I checked my friend's IPHONE 4S. Date & Time->Set Automatically  is set to ON and in Location Services-> Setting Time Zone is set to On but it does not use GPS regularly but my Phone does I have tried everything Setup as new, erase all setting, reset all settings, reset network settings and restore from BACKUP. My Problem is persitent. The Only difference I notice in my mobile and friend's mobile is that he bought from Saudi Arabia and I bought from Australia (though it has been swaped by genious bar). He is using Telstra and I am using Vodafone. both has 9A406.
Hard to figure out what is this?
    Thanks

  • How to change the "content created" date/time in FCPX?

Since I've had problems importing my whole iMovie event library into FCPX I decided to run some tests with importing individual files (part of iMovie events and originally imported from camera into iMovie). Some of them for some reason got the wrong "content created" date/time in them while in iMovie they have the right date/time set. Does anybody have an idea on how to change the "content created" timestamp?

I had a bunch of DV files that imported stamped with the file modification date and time.  I did not find a way to change it in FCPX. With FCPX not running, I used A Better Finder Attributes to modify the creation and modification dates of the files in the event folder. FCPX reconnected to them but the event still showed the old range of dates so I created a new event and moved the clips to it. Maybe ther is a beter way but that is how I did it.

  • TS3297 I find the instructions to use automatic date/time in ts3297 to be totally unacceptable.

I do things on my MBP (software builds) that REQUIRE consistent timestamps. I also travel extensively, which frequently results in "going backwards in time' (flying east to west). Updating date/time automatically causes total confusion for my builds, among other things.
I haven't debugged (yet) the same error message on my iPhone 4 which _does_ have 'automatic date/time' set.
My iPhone 4S and original iPad seem to work just fine. The 4S has automatic date/time, original iPad has manual date/time.
All ios devices are 5.1.1, MBP is Mountain Lion. In other words, no software updates required for any device.
The interesting thing, it's only updates.... Now that _does_ require date/time info, but I would expect to see 'no updates found', not 'unable to connect'.

Okay, checked the iPhone 4 debug steps.
Not my ISP, I can press 'featured' in the App Store and see what's up. Safari works, etc.
Doesn't matter whether connection is Wi-fi or 3g, fails.
Powered down/up, no change. Switched from automatic to manual and back, no change.
Went back to MBP, the OSX app store works just fine. It found I needed to update iTunes on my MBP. We'll see what happens after that. Can't expect it to solve my iPhone 4 issue, though.
Download time for iTunes update is 35+ minutes (hotel connection). I'll be back.....
